>Coming soon: " McFarlane Vault Collection 7" action figures - including extra special ultimate accessories> Previously: >>11771030> Archive: https://archive.palanq.win/toy/search/subject/DC/
>>11780043Look at how regal he looks. Almost 18% of the figure is new sculpt. I think the reason people just can't get over domestics is the output. In the end, people want to get excited weekly for figures, despite the fact they aren't high quality.
>>11780085>InArt/LPZZInart is ridiculously priced ($150 for a tiny Catwoman figure?!) and LPZZ, although more reasonable, doesnt seem available at too many domestic outlets and seems to sell out quickly. One of them had that scale issue but I heard that is going to be fixed.
>>11780184That's an addict's excuse. Transcend your addiction to slop and make your own figures.
>>11780306>just print your own cake toppers broshut the fuck up retard
>>11780309You're either done when Mcfarlane's run ends or you're buying children's toys from Mattel. Your hobby is going to become a miserable inescable hell.
>>11780235>Beast Kingdom/BlokeesYou can substitute a cheaper import if it makes you happy. I would have typed FondJoy but they seem to be trying to get paid as much as Mezco and SHF, even if they aren't producing the same quality. My point wasn't IMPORTS, it's that no one is talking about toys related to the Supergirl movie. Come the fall, will we be talking about Clayface toys? I had to look up the release date and it took more digging than it should have, but Lanterns will be out in August. No one on DC Gen will be talking about that, either, even if doesn't produce any toys.
>>11780311You need help.Btw, ETA on the mcfarlane shrine?
>>11780306Those legs are MASSIVE MUSCULAR
>>11780311Have you seen MOTU Chronicles? They're fine collectibles. The real issue is I suspect a standard DC figure will be $30-$35 based on MOTU Chronicles' price, due to DC license overhead.
More exciting than mcfarlane leaks>>11779706>>11779709
>>11780316So why would you bring up imports if you'd like to hype up supergirl? This is the toy board, if you'd enjoy conversations about TV and movies then try the tv board. I know we do discuss things like that but it's tangential since this board is for discussing toys. >>11780184I'm looking forward to moving away from domestic and trying imports honestly. It seems like once multiverse wraps up I'll be done with the wave cycle of domestic toy releases and the head ache of certain aspects of buying domestic figures in general. The idea of only getting like 5 figures a year isn't that awful, and because of the higher prices involved it'll cut down on the sheet fucking volume of figures I own because after 6-7 years of actively collecting domestic toy lines I've accrued an embarrassing amount of action figurines. >>11780306But wouldn't an addict try to make their toys? I'm pretty sure that's how shake n bake meth became a viable thing. An addict will be an addict. That wes looks great, is that enchantress? Can you do a black orchid?
>>11780362Imports have their own headaches unfortunately. And depending on the company, figure and retailer, some do sell out in the preorder stages too, although not in 3 minutes like Toddles do. It's also inexplicable to me why some retailers will carry one Amazing Yamaguchi but not another or some retailers will carry one Hiya Toys figure but not another, etc. In those cases it isn't like they're exclusive to one retailer.
>>11780376
>>11780376I really don't like the idea of AY wasting his talents on classic looks. They just look a bit too silly for modern times. Where's my tactikool?

Drawing a bunch of lines on something silly doesn't make that thing not silly.
>>11780446I was thinking more like making a modern design like the Arkham Knight design AY did, rather than just taking a classic design and drawing more lines on it. That doesn't make anyone happy.
Welp you got me again Revoltech.
>>11780451Oh, well in that case I actually want to smack you. He was in two Arkham games and looked absolutely fucking terrible in both of them. He is just some guy in a jacket in his Origins.

The shelf display or the Phantom Lady shrine?>>11780355I just don't like the MOTU aesthetic. Right now I have Red Sonja and just preordered Teegra from Fire & Ice, and have Conan and Belit on preorder from BBTS. I love sword and sorcery and sci-fi but something about MOTU just always seemed gaudy and infantile, and their style of toys is repulsive. I guess I didn't grow up in the 80's so it all just looks silly and gay. I like Conan killing boatloads of pirates and fucking his woman on the blood soaked deck, not some fag riding around on a giant blue cat while some other fag with a skeleton face screams from his castle that he's the faggiest fag or whatever
>>11780615>some fag riding around on a giant blue cat while some other fag with a skeleton face screams from his castle that he's the faggiest fag or whateverOh hell no. I was on the fence about you but now you've made a new enemy. I hope you burn to death so you get a taste of hell before you die.
>>11780641look at this shit and tell me it isn't gay
maybe calling things faggy and gay sounds kinda homophobicis there a term for this aesthetic that doesn't put down the cocksucking community? fruity? zesty? neon numasculine?you seem like the experts so I'll let you define whatever is happening here between these two men
>he's still talking to himself I'm the middle of the night
>>11780362>So why would you bring up imports if you'd like to hype up supergirl?>>11780316>"My point wasn't IMPORTS, >"it's that no one is talking about toys related ....>This is the toy boardYep, buddy, I know. The MOTU GEN went long because they are talking about the TOYS for their upcoming MOVIE.DC GEN has an upcoming movie and we even have seen protos and pictures of the movie TOYS.But no one is interested. Yadda yadda yadda.BTW - I have no interest in talking movies, especially a Tom King movie (although that was the longest convo in the last DC GEN thread)
>>11780642Looks like cool toys. Sounds like you have issues.
>>11780615Surely you can look at the engineering on motu chronicles and just imagine dc characters with it, separate from the aesthetic
>>11780382the upper body proportion looks off
>>11780768Its big and beefy due to appeals from Anthony to make super hero proportions
>>11780642Man, I can't wait until Mattel gets the DC licence. Been looking forward to MOTU Origins style Justice league friends.
You kid, but these look unironically better than anything Todd shat out.

Wonder Woman's available on the McFarlane store right now.https://mcfarlanetoysstore.com/wonder-woman-classic-mcfarlane-vault-collection-7-figure/
>>11781002Got her and superman, I guess there are plenty since bbts capped the limit at 24.
>>11780818>>11780815>>11780807As long as Barry (or Wally as you prefer) has a normal haircut and normal looking eyes, I would be fine with reuse of the Origins buck. Ditto Clark or Arthur. But we already KNOW what they will look like. AND IT'S NOT ORIGINS REUSE. These are all just unnecessary AI images. At least when Valley Forge was spamming the thread with his AI, it was just AI backgrounds but he was using genuine, grease-slathered McFart action figures. Was Jarrett stealing other people's pictures to create his shitty AI art? Of course he was. He's just that much of an idiot and imbecile.Don't be that imbecile, anon.If you need to attention whore, do it a different way.
>>11781012You didn't go to NYC Toy Fair. Lying fucking picture thief bitch. Die in a fire and die again ughhhhhh!!!
inb4 the guy with the orange nickelodeon alley dumps a bunch of pics of batman standing in A pose and starts arguing with himself
>>11781023I haven't even posted in this thread yet, nor did I have any intention to for now since I am not currently playing with DC toys. Stop letting me live in your head rent free. It's pathetic.
It took a few hours but the gangs all here! Where's the guy who screeches about op? I didn't miss that did I? Where's quit arguing with yourself guy? Anyone have a way to check on him?
Got Dark Knight Batman just because im dumb and still occasionally falling for Todd's scams. It only worked because it was 27 and not a penny more.
>>11781023his bigger problem is bad anatomy and making zero effort to conceal the stand
>>11781040Stop arguing with yourself.
If these are coming in September how is there going to really be enough time to have a wave 2 before jan27? I guess maybe November but that seems it
>>11780807>>11780809>>11780810>>11780813>>11780815>>11780818Amazing, and I would totally buy these. But, could you talk me through your process here? Which AI did you use? Did you feed it pics or Origins figures first so it knew what you wanted for output? I'd love to try this with various toy styles. What prompt did you use?
>>11780815This Aquaman would be so great. Especially with a Storm mount that had the same technology that keeps these bath toys upright.
>>11781048That's the beauty of putting things up for pre-order that you haven't even made yet.
It's been almost an hour and 30 minutes and a WW that is so desirable it sells on ebay for over $100 is not sold out yet. What's going on? What does the scouter say about Todd's power level?!
>>11781077Only the platinum one sells for $100

>>11780043Lol i didnt know mcfarlane lost dc and its going back to mattel , its a good new imo dc figures needs to be the same scale as marvel legends , and talking about 6 inches figures anybody got one of those lpzz dc figures and are they good figure or i should just wait for batman figure from mattel instead of paying 3rd party japanese action figure ?
>>11780043Since dc and mcfarlane are done , i got that megbig mcfarlane bane , in your opinion , wich batman vilain megafig should i try to get before theyre gone or become expensive and wich one should i skip and wait the one from mattel , for exemple i think a man-bat is coming soon in a 3pack
>>11781109I've been wanting man bat, I think it's a mega fig. But since you're waiting that out then idk. I wish I got that bane, but I waited too long it seems.
>>11781021That's a photo that was posted in an older dc gen, Jarred - no need to get your star trek panties in a bunch because you were called out by the people whose pictures you used in shitty AI right in the very thread you ripped them off from, this genAlso, I never typed that I either went to the nyc toy fair OR typed that it was my picture, I only typed "we know what the Mattel toys" will actually look like from pictures like this one. >>11781182Thanks it looks great I think I'd buy every one of these but I doubt mattel's final product would look this good
I don't get why McFarlane chose to overproduce these vault figures specifically. Like the actual DK Joker is far more desirable than this disguised joker variant...so it's going to warehousewarm. WW might sell out eventually. Maybe DK Batman can too. But if that Medieval Spawn was made in the same quantities I don't see how it doesn't warm the digital pegs for a long time. Same for that Superman. The desirable Superman was Silver Age, not that one.
>>11781104>anybody got one of those lpzz dc figuresIt depends on what you want and which one you want, sometimes InArt does a good job on faces and sometimes LPZZ does a good job with design work. If there is an unmasked head that's needed, even if only some of the times, I'd probably pass on LPZZ myself. But if it's someone like Slade or Nightwing and you don't really care, and you like the LPZZ designs, then go with that.>3rd party japanese action figureLPZZ/UPF is Chinese, by the way, and "legally only licensed for sale" there.
>>11781241I grabbed the DK batman. I agree with you on the Superman. He just looks dumb imo. And those Medieval Spawns have digital bargain bins in their future.
>>11781241I thought it was a glitch when I saw limit of 24 on bbts, like if you intend on ordering that many of one figure then why would you choose bbts to order from when you could at least ask for a deal buying in bulk from Todd directly and then why would bbts feel the need to acknowledge that there is a limit when it's limited to 24? I kind of understand the idea of picking the disguised joker, it's an attention grabbing scene and I guess you could use the figure to build a gang for joker lead. I won't be surprised if the next batch has a smaller production run and id be willing to bet that the first appearance of Batman figure will be included. I'm really curious what spawn figure will be in the potential next vault offering.
Do you guys see mattel re-using old molds from their ex mattel line or every sculpt are gonna be new ?
>>11781387Everything they had is too out of date and everything theyāve shown while some may be rehashed itās all brand new. The collector line might be built off of motu chronicles.
>>11781370>glitch when I saw limit of 24 on bbtsThat's their default shipping drop down number - it cannot go higher, I once confirmed that with an employee. So if it says that you can order 24, that means they definitely have AT LEAST that many, it's only when the number drops down and you see you can only order say 10 or 12, that you know you need to decide to pull the trigger or not.I think they coded McFart pages for limits because of the FOMO and false scarcity bullshit Todd was pulling, but Todd apparently no longer cares about that when he's about to loose his big (consistent) gravy train.
>>11781390I dont know what Toddles will do without DC. I guess he's still releasing Marvel statues but I don't know how those could possibly be selling, yet they haven't stopped so I guess someone is buying them.
>>11781229>attention whores have feelings, too
>>11781023>>11781037>it took him less than ten minutes to replylul

Man, you guys make it real easy to just not want to post toys here.
>>11781796I think that's the motto of /toy/ in general
>>11781802Honestly, between the garbage community that's left over here since all the good posters left, and the moderation team actively making it more of a pain in the ass to actually make a post, I'm debating just jumping ship. Sucks. /toy/ has been my home for the better part of fifteen years now. What other place is there to even go? And please don't say reddit.
>>11781796>>11781802>>11781805Be the change you want to see. Quit bitching and lead by example. You boo hoo and moan and yet never post a picture, stolen or not. It's simple but you'd rather sit and cry about good posters being gone without realizing there were never any good posters.
>>11781810Bitch, I'm one of the last people to actually post toys on this god forsaken hell hole we call a board. But at this point I just get whining and complaining as a response. Hell, I don't even want praise or admiration for replies. I just want people to actually discuss goddamn toys. Like holy fuck nobody cares if you don't like cloth vapes, or if an elbow isn't bent exactly how you want it to be, or that someone bought a toy you don't like or can't afford. And then the boogeymen. These spergs will hyper fixate and obsess over certain posters just because they post with a consistent background. Local Walmart Mart finally fucking clearance off their DC Multiverse shit with Adam Strange going for $23 and Jade/Rocket Red/Guardian/Spoiler Batgirl for $10. Sadly by the time I had the cash, they had sold out of Jade and Spoiler Batgirl and just had Adam, Guardians Rocket Red left. No clue if they will be getting more but the has already put out Warhammer figures in their place alongside them.
>>11782190Are they in the electronics still in yours, because I thought electronics "collectibles" stuff never gets clearanced (it doesnt for my walmart)
>>11782191Yes and collectibles there tend to get discounted though it's pot luck which ones do
>>11782159very proud of your gay little toys, son
no one can complain about not having access to Todd's Wonder Woman now. The real question is, is that WW actually worth $27 when scarcity is factored out, and that question is really up for grabs.
>>11782268I accidentally scratched one of her gauntlets cutting off those stupid plastic bands so I have one on preorder just to be OCD
>>11782268I picked up the BvS Alfred on clearance at GameStop, with my 10% (or whatever the fuck it is) pro-discount and monthly $5 coupon, so ended up paying like $12+. It will make a great 7" civilian buck eventually, once I figure out a soft goods coat or trench coat or whatever I end up doing with it, and swap out the head, but was it really worth even $13? NOPE.I just picked up another one at Ross for $5.95. THAT seems right for this particular figure. I would pay $12.99, those blister priced ones, for a Diana, even if she came without any accessories, but Zatanna and the two recent Flash were the only things I paid MSRP for and felt they were worth it.Ross also the Kaiju Megafig for $9.99, the Superman boxed movie Super Powers set (6 figures?) for $14.99, those GITD Demon Knight Etrigan, and that's just what I saw in store.I know other people have reported the Spawn/Batkek two pack and the Superman/Godzilla JL two pack on the east coast, mostly Florida, Texas and Illinois. Someone posted find the Plat and regular of Ralph for $10 at a WalMart in Nashville, I think it was, and someone else got the Blackhawk and two other recent figures for $5 each at another Walmart from their clearance aisle. Also someplace in the south. That's what most Todd slop is genuinely worth. Why and how idiots waste money is beyond me. And that's after I just spent $27, including postage and tax, to pick up 3 Starro spores at an auction this morning.
>>11781976I would get that. >>11781971they already did vic with the league - I know saffy is in the new metal book but they should have done the arthur, kara and krypto in that issue instead, especially if they are doing some villains. i'd buy a sinestro and want to see them make a beast boy though
>>11782159>>11782082>>11782226

>>11782190this whole section is getting clearanced out in my area. the mcfarlane and neca stuff are almost all gone already. i grabbed page punchers martian manhunter for $15 today. pretty sure it went straight to the clearance aisle. between this and targets shifting focus and eliminating their collector sections and reducing aisle space for toys, this is ominous.
>>11782599I noticed that too, but MM was full price. A warhammer guy was telling me that they were supposed to get a whole new shelf but it hadn't happened.
>>11782599>>11782638Mirror Master was clearance tagged say a month ago and a few still peg warm, ditto Dark Archer and Adam Strange, RR, Spoiler, etc. I haven't seen MM other than at a GS but I haven't been to a WM in over a month and I barely hit a GS right before the end of the month, to pick up a pre-order (non-DC shit). I haven't heard anything from the three toy lead guys I befriended at the largest district Target in my area that they are getting rid of the collector's section by electronics and in fact they expanded it an aisle over to move all the Funko shit out of the way. I know they are pissed at the NECA assholes for not doing their job and not stocking. The large Target the next county over, where all the Vietnamese and Chinese families settled, did get rid of their wooden cubby hole but that's because they expanded the collectors sections into two different aisles. It's actually bigger than their LEGO section because one entire area is Bandai, SHF, and other anime and weeb stuff, and it's also were they stuck the Pokemon and the manga tankos. But I haven't been back there since February.
It's rather depressing that action figures are mostly just being forced to electronics, especially in my area where they give it about 5 feet of shelf space that's mostly a pile of funko crap
>>11782645That's kinda how I got bloodwynd, a guy I had worked with previously was stocking and got my attention since he remembered I was a DC fan. The only things left when I last looked were kite man and few Batman and the kingdom come red supes. I kinda want to check out the target here now but it's an hours round trip and I'm just not that excited to drive when I don't need to.

>>11784104Where'd you get that effect piece from? That in green would be a perfect Green Lantern effect. Dunno why McFarlane is too retarded to give GL characters laser beam effects 99% of the time

>>11784228Iām assuming Walled Canaryās jacket is too small on him
>>11784356It looks big on her in the publicity photos, I know I've looked at Barbie clothes packs trying to find something that could work for buddy or for the Superboy from reign of the supermen. So it looks like classic lobo has actual metal chain links on his hooks. I wish I understood the thought process at McFarlane toys but I guess chain link isn't too expensive and they probably only used a few yards of it for the entire production run.
>>11784566When I went to Kubert's they'd play the Comic Book Greats on Fridays and there's the episode with Stan Lee and Todd, and the whole class busted up when Todd is drawing some EXTREME 90's character covered in chains and he tells Stan, "Kids love chains."You'll never see McFarlane Toys skimp on chains.

>>11784228What's up with Todd giving the men such juicy thighs?
>>11784667Yeah that's the one. The O in Overkill was a bullseye.
>>11784687Curious that you're so interested in men's thighs.
>>11784687Todd is a big big fan of Rob Leifelds work.
>>11784763Todd was never as bad at anatomy...was he?
>>11784826I'd say Todd had a more grounded approach overall. Rob had a summer block buster movie type approach to his art and storytelling.
>>11784826Toddās ears are like Robās feet.
>>11784566>>11784356Someone bought two canary's so they could put that jacket on the McFarlane 1990s Kon-El. But Todd has idiots well trained that they need to buy 3 to 5 of his greasy mcfarts in order to make that ONE PERFECT figure. You can actually find a better fitting jacket off an AEW manlet for a few bucks at Ross or even on eBay. It even came with sunglasses!
They also did a Frankenstein body part kitbash with the same AEW manlet to fix the problem with that truly ugly Mattel Signature head from their Teen Titan's Superboy with jeans. But it's mogs Todd's Lanky version, with his old man arms and degenerate brit legs.
The infinite supply of Wonder Womans and Batmans on BBTS is supposed to ship in September, so there's still three months until the license expires. Three months to get in all the final announcements.Three months to announce a Phantom Lady.
>>11784896Jungle jack perry, the scape goat?
>>11785339Are you really going to 3d print these or are they just for breast appreciation week?
>>11785465Nah, but there's a bunch. I have another white pleather vest from another wrestler, I just need to remove the WWE logo and it would probably work on a male or female buck. This was the AEW Sammy Guevara - the sunglasses are not shown and they are the wrong ones for 1990s Kon, but another WWE wrestler had perfect sunglasses for that. And that one was only $4.99 at Ross. And the second body I got, you pop on one of the hooded Legends Ninja/Mafia Track Suit heads from the Hawkeye TV show and you got the perfect mugger for Spider-Man or Daredevil to beat up in your display.
Mattel really bit off more than they probably want to chew with the DC license. Now that oil prices and thus plastic prices are skyrocketing, their figure prices may be even higher than they wanted. But they've already made the kids line dirt cheap so...they may end up losing money on those figures.
>>11780615>>11780306Sauce on the minis?
why do you think mcfarlane is still underproducing for demand even on regular figures? by now he should be out of danger as far as overproducing and getting stuck with tons of pegwarmers
>>11785545Oh yeah, one of the 4 pillars of aew. There's a dusty nyla rose hanging around the clearance aisle, but they are $17 and just not worth it, even for the novelty of having a nyla rose figure. Y'know jazwares eliminated the aew division?
>>11785465is he the scapegoat because itās his fault they lost the only reason aew exists in the first place?
>>11785586I know I haven't seen as much AEW at Ross as I used to. I don't really buy wrestlers for wrestling. I buy them for the heads and accessories. I really want some stuff like trash cans and police lines "wooden horse" signs but all those fodder lots go for absurd prices. The wrestlers make great muggers and civilians. And they scale decently well with Todd's greasy bucks. Some are okay with Legends, but if it's just to be bank robbers or muggers, they work fine. And the McFart heads sit well on the wrestler bodies. I have a bunch of Legends heads, but I usually put those on Joe bodies since it's a definite easy swap. But Hasbro Joe's require more paint to make them civilians. And Joe's aren't often dirt cheap. But they make great cop and fire fighter civilians.
>>11785469Uhhhh Phantom Lady is from cults3D, resized to minis scale. I made a custom base for her using an art nouveau pattern, and dropped in a microscope, a german helmet, some test tubes, papers, and bullet casings. Don is some generic detective but I did a headswap in blender with someone else, I don't remember where that came from.Prairie Witch was part of a 3 pack bundle of generic witches from myminifactory, same with the female SS officer.>>11785469Yeah I'm just waiting for the weekend so I can knock all of them out at once.
>>11785606He didn't chase off danhausen, but yeah, they pinned brawl out on jack even though things were clearly really screwed up before then.Cry me river. >>11785607That batwoman head looks decent on the body, I'm gonna guess it's a Stacy Kiebler. Even on a toy that tatto just pokes you in the eye, do you think they encourage him to cover it up for publicity engagements? Not with fans but with tv execs and sponsors.
Anyone actually pick up anything new? I'm still following multiverse, although I'd like to try mafex but y'know how it goes with collecting. Anyway I've picked up quite a few figures this monthBloodwynd, Aztek, Saturn Girl, classic Lobo, Obsidian (now I've got Alan and his kids) and finally I picked up Kite Man which desperately needs a flight stand but for $15 I couldn't pass up a generic bad guy. I'm planning on getting Eclipso, Larfleeze, Starman Jack (which I'm hoping Jarret will sign for me) Azbats and maybe the knight terror Batman but I'm on the fence on yet another bat variant figure. Still hoping to find a Shazam and Miss Martian and Gangbuster. In imports is there a particular Mafex figure that would be a good choice as first figure? Are there decent knock offs like CT toys for DC figures?
>>11785713I preordered the 'actually painted this time' Knightfall Azrael. The Batman variants I already have something close enough or they're from a story I dont care about (Knight Terrors).Oddly I've never seen anyone discuss anything like CT Toys for DC. It seems like most (all?) of the action in that arena is on the Marvel side. DESU with Mafex I feel like they're overhyped and overpriced for what they offer. They're often very basic for imports. More effort is put into making sure the joints work than domestics but is that really worth an extra $70? Usually not. At least it's not as offensive as SHF I guess.
>>11785636>I'm gonna guess it's a Stacy Kiebler.Yep, I ordered the same one, for a possibly Mercy Graves.Target has them for about $12 as on-line orders. It's a really pain to get that figure to stand-up without a stand. I think I need to re-enforce the knees with resin or something. There's a red Lana that looks identical, the head sucks ass but I wouldn't mind scoring it and apparently also a blue suit but everyone listing those for sale on places like eBay wants too much for what is essentially a really shitty body buck.I also have different heads, besides Batwoman, for Lois. And a bunch of different red-haired heads I'd like to turn into a Lana. And yeah, that tat needs some flesh tone paint, which I need to do anyways for the neck and head to match.
Articulated Great Dane from Savage Crucible. Removable armor. Would make a nice Ace to pair with Revoltech Batman Beyond.
>>11785610aww babbys first cylinder and rectangle tool in blender, how precious
>>11785713finally got Gangbuster. bought two in fact, one to keep sealed which I never ever do but the fact that itās a Gangbuster action figure and itās not a figment of my imagination is worth keeping.
>>11785787I know there are bootlegs, I've bought one or rather the seller tried to dupe with a mattel ko, but yeah it's kinda odd there aren't many options in area for DC figures. Guess it's time to start researching options in the knock off world. >>11785795I'd get her for $12, too bad about the cankles though. I know Ms Hancock did not have those. Maybe it's just a shadow or angle. >>11785881Nice, I guess I'm going to have to try to buy one online since a visit to GameStop isn't a real option for me. Have you opened one yet? If so are the goggles removable?
>>11785713Ordered Knightfall AzBats and now I'm glad I missed out on the first release. Also ordered TDKR Batman but don't know if I'll keep it.
>>11782901Daredevil-Batman crossover.
>>11785945played with him for a bit tonight. goggles def not removable. he unfortunately canāt pull off the Michelangelo chucks pose, because he canāt fully reach across his body. the shoulderpad sort of gets in the way, but these figures arenāt built for it to begin with. I own a lot of the Todd DC stuff, and this Gangbusterās torso and ankle rocker joints moved a lot smoothly out of the box than most anything else, but I sincerely doubt thereās been any improvements to these things and itās just luck. looks great tho. chucks are chained, and while I was hoping for a pointing finger hand, the open oneās index is extended enough that it can work in a pinch. the all-plastic chucks around his waist move up and down pretty freely and donāt really hinder anything. and, again, Iām just so happy this character got a proper figure of any sort that it could have been significantly worse and I still would have been pleased.
STOP POSTING THESE SHITTY ASS CUSTOMS.
>>11785713>Anyone actually pick up anything new?I'm all in favor of deep cuts. I'm just tired of Todd and all the shit that goes with his DCMV grease delivery system, particularly since it's essentially a dead line. Planning to get rid off all but two character families so even though I agree that, for example, the Aztek looks good - and again, I'm thrilled they made an action figure of a deep cut character - you couldn't get me to take any of these or anything McFarlane recent for free, except for some of the Flash figures and the recent movie Superman figures. For example, that new Eclipso is no better than the Mattel version as far as picking a random character look, likewise the OMAC. It's just random. At least Aztek is a classic look that is comic accurate - and for an entire run (yes, yes, I know it was not a long run, but the character was used again in the same costume). Not some poor wierd (no neck?) interpretation of a costume that was used in a four issue mini-series (e.g. Authority Superman). >>11779482>>11777552>>11781241One thing I would like to see McFarlane re-release in this VAULT options is a Captain Carrot but I doubt it will happen in the next six months. The maroon suit Wally, the Blue Lantern Kyle and probably a few others I am too tired to think off. I have credit to use up at Walmart and I couldn't find shit to buy even extending my search outside DC into Joe's or Legends. Not at their stupid marketplace scalper prices. Three different sellers have those Ross exclusives listed, one trying to sell that Superman Hush figure for a $24 markup. Another selling No-Side-Eyes Aquaman for a $10 markup. The "best" thing I could find was Ambush Bug for $12.99. And I passed.
I couldn't wait until the weekend. Printed off Phantom Lady last night. If no one makes an official version of her I'm getting comfortable and confident enough to make my own.

>>11786672I'm not clicking that unless you can post proof they're talking about someone making a Phantom Lady
>>11786695Sorry, they aren't or at least I don't they did. Here's what I thought you may find worth looking at though. Lil shade and lil starman. I'm sure you're aware of most of this stuff but it was new to me.
>>11786593You could corner the market on Phantom Lady collectibles. Some people make money painting custom figures and such and selling them on ebay, but there has to be demand of course
>>11786867I collect Aquaman stuff and have that Aquaman/Manta 2 pack.
>>11786883So are they more like a Playmobil style or something else? I'd never heard of them until this week, the article says that these were DCs version of mini mates before DC licensed out the brand to mini mates iirc.
>>11786867Those are pretty neat. If I ever come across that pack at an antiques shop I'd pick it up. My dad is a miniatures gamer so I was raised to look for detail and dynamic poses, but something like those would be cool for desk ornaments. The guy who made the Starman Jack I'm going to print also has a Shade he just released. I'm tempted to pick it up and just print off the shadow demons at 1/10 scale as a base for my custom Shade.>>11786874Yeah I do commissions on the side. The hard part for me is repetition, I hate repainting the same thing over and over again, so like painting Darth Vader is easy and really fun but painting the army of Stormtroopers that have to go with him feels like climbing Everest. Could I get burnt out on Phantom Lady? Doubtful, but it's also doubtful anyone out there would want an obscure character like her. I've sold a couple things to Verko's Vault, so it'd be really cool to do a super polished badass version of Phantom Lady and then have it just chill in a miniatures museum until the end of time.
I'm not sure what to say but I found them.
>>11786999Well at least someone was able to find the figures they wanted.Gi Joe tablecloth?
>>11782850silver collar isnt right but the finish/wash saves it
>>11787017Never thought I'd defend McFarlane Toys on accuracy, but it's accurate to the Batman #667 cover which is what the figure is claimed to be based off of.

>>11787034well shit. still 99% of the time its blue though
>>11787051Yeah, they probably should've just used a different, more widely representative picture of the internal art because usually its blue as you note.
>>11787034I never noticed how small his hands are in that cover.
>>11787070Kelly Jones is a really good artist but some of these knightfall covers are just exaggerated to a point of almost ridiculous. I hope Todd doesn't give the figure baby hands in an attempt to fully recreate the cover in figure form.
What do you think the man behind all the dc multiverse mold reuse thinks when he looks upon his works?
