kinda crazy to think no one ever did a highly articulated figure of shrek
>>11786778here you go
>>11786778There's a lot of strange gaps in the world of articulated action figures
>>11786778Then again, the ultra articulated figure market is dominated by Japanese companies like Bandai Spirits, and Japan hates Dreamworks with a passion. I'm not surprised by the oger-sized gap in the highly articulated figure market (pun intended).
>>11786927NTA but Small Soldiers, Big Guy and Rusty, Ben 10, Beyblade, and Inhumanoids are just a few that I can think of.
>>11786975Figufarts makes figures of literally who nip celebs, that’s the epitome of boring.Shrek is constantly smashing shit and throwing people, he would make for an interesting, dynamic toy.
The market wanted something that could be fucked. Plushes. Shampoo bottles.
>>11787027Modern figures of these? I'm surprised that NECA never did Small Solders, seems up their ally
>>11787055Neca would find a way to fuck it up.
>>11786778No one wants highly articulated FAT and STUPID, anon.
>>11786927Teenage RobotGotcha ForceCustom RoboSpace GrizzliesLilo and Stitch cousinsDigi/Pokemon
>>11787237Shrek has never been presented as stupid at all. He's pretty smart and agile, if anything his worse trait it's being insecure about himself, he defeated puss in boots also
NECA does all kinds of movieslop figures so if Shrek is meant to be it'll be from them.they do horror movie shit, they're not above animation.
>>11786778Perhaps they'll release one next year to coincide with the new film.
>>11786778People say DreamWorks isn't very enthusiastic about toy licensing, they just do the bare minimum, sometimes not even that. There might be some truth to that, seeing how much merch the likes of Pixar and Illumination churn out.
>>11787346ugh, it's gonna be with the new ugly design... might as well do nothing
>>11787097They wouldn't fuck anything up you retard ass shit.
>>11787349probably because MacDonald with their cancer drink cups
>>11787251Puss solo'd a giant but couldn't against based Shrek
>>11787252That's most nostalgia bait, rose-colored tiny goggle merch for boomers, 1990s craps, and a fuckton of horror. They will do shit like Shrek because it falls under two of those wheelhouses but Dreamworks probably wants too much for the license.
I feel like a Chinese studio might randomly make a fairly quality one sometime, but it would have soft goods.
>>11788251soft goods are pretty good, the only problem its that doesnt work with super hero plush imagine naked shrek, the perfect ugly bastard
>>11787252At least they can make a movie accurate Gingerbread Man.
>>11788286You're a fucking dickhead. Kys.
>>11787376cry more, retard
>>11788294Seethe.
>>11786920I'm fairly new to toys so I'm totally ignorant of mcfarlane's work. Wasn't he a pioneer in detailed sculpts? Did the quality just tumble down a cliff one year?
>>11788474>>11788473Die in a fire
>>11788477>I'm fairly new to toys so I'm totally ignorant of mcfarlane's work. Wasn't he a pioneer in detailed sculpts? Did the quality just tumble down a cliff one year?Youre right in that mcfarlane toys was a pioneer of toy sculpts in the mid 90s. The issue is that their quality started going down hill especially by the early 2000s when todd wanted to make more static/pre posed figures that eventually morphed into glorified statue shit. Also keep in mind while mcfarlane used to be the pinnacle company for detailed sculpts they have lagged behind over the years. Allegedly mcfarlane still does many sculpts by hand where as many companies now use digital tools for sculpting and use face scans for actual actors instead if trying to replicate likenesses via traditional and older sculpting methods. Hence why you get so many derpy looking head sculpts in the current DC line.
