>>11789244Needs more ass
>>11789244Todd sama plz make wild dog before your license expires
>>11789250todd dont listen to this man he has a rape dungeon
>>11789248HERE.Although, I gave y'all ass with the Aztek DCMV and got accused me of making a troll thread ...
>>11789244Can someone tell me how todd hasnt made any watchmen figures yet? Is there a right issue or something preventing him from making the comedian and rorschach and friends or what?
>>11789264Why did they make this body buck so bad? And yet people worship it like its some kind of great figure just because it's WW. It's like they made the body explicitly to expose the derangement of people who only care about the idea of a figure with an iconic look, no matter how badly it's executed.
>>11789255>todd dont listen to this man he has a rape dungeonI mean of course i do but thats besides the point
>>11789275because todd made so few female figuresall his apologist are going on and one about how this isn't true, pointing to the recent swath of supergirls and peegee, zee, etc. but then people point out - correctly - that these are all fucking recentat least diana doesn't have a visible penis like the selina/catwoman that's also highly praised
>>11789274Todd said he didn't want to make them, citing Rorschach specifically as being a boring design
>>11789287>Todd said he didn't want to make them, citing Rorschach specifically as being a boring designNot sure if youre bullshitting or not but if on the off chance youre correct i want to give todd a swirly now
>>11789250I'd be so hype I'd get sick. I'd take a vigilante too.
>>11789287Holy ZASEDI knew he had good taste.
>>11789274the real reason is that Watchmen stupidly falls under the vertigo banner, which is a different license. this is why Mattel was never able to do Watchmen until the very end of DCUC, when they were able to license them out under different branding and not call them “DC Universe” etc. presumably this is also why Todd never did shit like the sex dungeon master’s Sandman.it’s stupid and gay and copyright law is the enemy of all nerds.
>>11789316That tracks, its a damn shame but like you said copyright autism throws a wrench into everything. Fuck DC and fuck todd
>>11789264>>11789275Even in the promo image they showed just how bad the knees were, yet no one cared.
>>11789320To be fair, this is true of all McFarts - which is why, for example, every single promo shot of the recent Batwank wave (Knight Terrors, etc.) shows absolutely no articulation. Those fuckers know it will look like shit, so they don't bother. They have to wait until one of their cult followers buys one and then defends how they are 'not statues' by showing all the poses they can get into and you see all the fucking problems.
>>11789320>just how bad the knees were, yet no one cared.People care. They have just accepted it like the spouse of a wife-beater learns to live with physical abuse.Like they have learned to accept that they have to buy 3 or 4 McFarts to get that 'one' perfect version they want.
>>11789341I hate toddslop but i still but some figures like a bitch mostly cuz i know some of the deep cuts that get made as figures by mcshartlane will never get another toy ever again.
You needed to make another thread so you could bitch about elbows? What a retarded faggot you are.
>>11789345Stay mad that no one is using your troll threads you little virgin.
>>11789347Pretty obvious you've been talking to yourself all morning in both the Marvel and DC threads. Seek help, dude.
>>11789350If that's what you need to tell yourself to feel better about being fucked. So be it.
>>11789352You bitch about nobody participating in threads anymore but then you do schizo freak shit like this with zero self awareness lmaoIt is a mystery why no one likes being around you
>>11789344I picked up a Super Friends vehicles at a Ross for $3.99 and picked up some clearance figures at Target and Walmart. I even found the Superman/JL Godzilla mega fig two pack at a different Ross and took that as well but will probably sell or give away the GodzillaBut I personally have no interest in new McFarlane - but I also won't begrudge anyone who wants say that Saturn Girl or Vigilante or Bronze Tiger, etc. I just don't want them other than for fodder parts, so they would have to be like $5 new or used
>>11789339>>11789341Neither of those knees have giant cliffs where the skin just ends above the knee like the WW figure has. There are other McFarlanes with the issue but those 2 are not among them
>>11789372Who do you even think I am?
Walmart is getting the wave with Larfleeze and Shazam
>>11789429Yeah, I've got the Shazam and gangbuster. Gotta wait on a potential restock for larfleeze. They got page puncher martian manhunter and robin here.
>>11789316I thought gaiman owned a part of sandman? Was it a dungeon or a garden? I know it was a nanny. Idk if vertigo is the barrier, we got hellblazer and swamp thing and animal man, all known for their vertigo series more than the dc universe.
>>11789440Stop talking to yourself. Todd and Neil hate each other and take turns suing each other. Dumb autistic fucking bitch.
>>11789439I have been seeing that Martian Manhunter around too. His legs looks huge.
>>11789244>1/6fuck off
>>11789558Stay poor
>>11789559I have a ashoka doll that'll be worth $20,000 next year unlike mondo slop
>>11789274It's kinda odd there is such a huge audience for Watchmen and the Boy figures. I just don't see the appeal of nudist groomer, rapist guy, and impotent man in figure form. Might as well sell Sopranos figures.
>>11789568shut up alan moore
>>11789345It must be awful to know you have been kicked out of the McFarlane discord, to realize you're down voted out of reddit, and to know that even an anonymous site recognizes and hates you most of allSad sad sad
>>11789244>pistols are disproportionate>ball joints on the feet make him look like he's wearing loafers with powder blue socks instead of cowboy boots>they use Gray Morrow's image of him with cavalryman holsters all over the packaging but he isn't designed like that >no gloves>lasso is dental floss>wrist joints are molded the same as the shirt makes his hands look weird>kerchief is filmiest material possible and arguably should have just been molded plastic since that's the character's default look. And I'm supposed to hate Mattel?
>>11789611Well if you're buying this weird obscure character slop from Todd for 35 bucks yeah of course you're going to hate it more than Mattel. But those of us who still remember the good times when cool looking Todd figures were unique sculpts for 20 bucks, yeah we're gonna say things got worse when Jason took over McFarlane toys' design team and he is literally from Mattel. 20 buck unique sculpts are lost forever.
>>11789561Pics or it didn't happen
>>11789561you are on a list
>>11789611lol this piece of shit got a proper thigh swivel but nobody else does? what the fuck man.
>>11789701Mcf doesn't think anything needs thigh cuts unless it needs to ride a horse/vehicle
>>11789546He's the same buck as the old one, they changed the neck to make it longer but did the reverse of the Bones mod to make his legs shorter( and less flexible). So he's still the same height which makes him shorter than WW and the new Superman buck. Idk why they didn't just use that Superman buck cause they already had the boots from the Shazam tooling.
>>11789611He's reuse of the Johan Hex figure they probably lost a lot of money on. That's why there's a Batman version around.
>>11789713People who hate "doll" capes on action figures have basically lost, both McFarlane and Mattel are going full cloth cape. The only one left doing plastic capes is Hasbro and even they have tried out cloth wired capes on Thor (for a ridiculous price though)
>>11789586>schizo who thinks everyone is VF camps in both the Marvel gen, the DC gen, and the McFarlane discord all daydo you even have a life?
>>11789745>MattelChronicles Skeletor just came with a plastic cape, I don't think things are going to change. I'd think it's still too expensive to consistently do wired soft goods. Then again, WWE has some very detailed soft goods, though not wired, so who knows. Cloth generally makes a toy more playable, so I'm all for it. Though a cape like on MM there just comes off as a cheap piece of fabric. A wire and/or higher quality fabric goes a long way.
>>11789586No it's just your autistic ass that never shuts up about me. Please stay in your containment server with the other adults who lick mold release off their McFarlanes.
Alright let's talk about actual toys now. I need to get a Ledger Joker, something 6 inches with good articulation, accessories, you know the type. Should I aim for the old MAFEX, wait for the Mezco coming down the road, or go looking for third party solutions?
>>11789775Mattel doesn't do wires but they have done a lot of cloth in motu lines recently
>>11789789Filix Toys The Clown Joker is presumably the best ledger joker in 1/12.
>>11789789You mean you "want" to get a Heath, don't you?
>>11789789For matching scale with ML, Mezco looks to be a top contender. If you're okay with the slightly smaller scaling of imports then the Mafex Joker 2.0 is the way to go.
>>11789640My first mcfart was 2019 and those were never unique. Prices started climbing by '22 and $15/$18 MSRP later, you can't blame that all on Mattel, directly or indirectly
>>11789782Don't you feel bad every time you force mom/girlfriend into the phantom girl outfit just so you can get a crack at the spare phone to post twice?
>>11789568>Might as well sell Sopranos figures. That'd be awesome though. You're retarded
>>11789921McFarlane msrp didn't change until CEs and then a jump to 23 for regular figures. Jason was already in charge by then
>>11789829>>11789901>>11789911Lot of good points here. Thinking of going with Mezco, if I can find a preorder anywhere.
>>11789568This is someone who only buys toys based on how cool something looks as opposed to having any attachment to the source material. To each their own, but that's something I try not to do, because it always ends with a big pile of toys I don't care about after 2 weeks. Doesn't happen with the stuff I have attachment to the source material.
>>11790084we get ityou hate mattelenjoy buying your marvel staction figures from todd and I guess turtles and fallout
They need to melt down all the DCMV figures that are pegwarmers that are worth more as component materials than the $2 someone would buy them for and re-synthesize the byproducts
>>11790139I don't buy Marvel staction figures from Todd. If you can't get the thrust of my pots, Mattel's former employee ruined McFarlane Toys, so I cannot buy from McFarlane Toys now either. I'll be out of all domestic lines except Marvel Legends soon and then only to pick and choose heavily. I'll occasionally buy imports as usual.

Mattel's new 12 in DC line. I'm liking what I see for the sculpt. Maybe their collectors line will be pretty good after all.
>>11790671the same ol same ol glup shitto boomers cream themselves to
>>11789293It's not a lie, people asked Todd to make them a lot years ago and he said that about Rorschach, this was around the time he was making other dumb comments like the one about not making female figures
>>11790671Oh great, they're doing the super dark lips like Hasbro does with the male marvel legends, making them all look like they're wearing lipstick
>>11790699Todd been do that for many years ago now. This was around.
>>11790563>>11790671
>>11790671They still added extra lines to the suit like McFarlane did. Also these 12in things are a waste of plastic, they have so tiny an amount of articulation yet they aren't preposed like statues so there is no reason for them
>>11790671I like the head. I do agree with the person who complained elsewhere that specifically, The Flash should have knees and elbows that could bend. Mattel has no excuse because they also, concurrently, released batcrap in this size that has those joints.
>>11790671>>11790720>>11790741Sculpted parts of capes on the shoulders with a piece of fabric dangling off the back is the most offensive thing a toy company can do to a customer. Decal symbols instead of sculpted symbols should be illegal. Weird Marvel Legends pelvis with the same saggy crotch, but at least they didn't go full retard with a massive ab joint cutting the figure in half. This is imaginext tier, but if they start making plastic playsets like imaginext or barbie then they might have an angle.
as the new mattel era approaches, i think eventually people will look back fondly on the mcfarlane era. before 2020, domestic batman figures couldn't do this. hasbro figures with plastic capes still can't.
>>11790982mattel had the license until 2020 and people still couldn't buy a batman that could crouch down. that doesn't even sound impressive now but it used to be impossible.
