Is anyone making Futurama figures, or do I need to go bankrupt getting the Toynami ones?
>>11790800irony poisoned crap doesnt deserve anything
Go for the Toynami, the only other toys from Futurama companies make are Fry and Bender.
the mega construx figures they made of Bender and Fry are cute, and lego compatible, but that's all they made for mega.
>>11790800I mean, do you expect anything official like picrel made in current year? Aside from that new Futurama has become needlessly preachy to still possess any broad appeal.
>>11790917Their NFT episode wasn't subtle at all, not even to the point where they name it something else. They should've named it something else
>>11790945All post revival Futurama trying to desperately to be topical is what really made me lose interest in any continuation. Almost everything from the original run is just humorous speculative fiction. Sure, things that were happening in the world at the time of production would occasionally get touched on, but it all felt pretty self contained.
>>11790963That and the jokes and dialogue just aren’t snappy and clever anymore. Example of your point though is the Hulu Covid episode vs Cold Warriors, same premise but one is good speculative fiction with character stuff for Fry and one is just basing the entire episode on real events like they’re still happening in the same way the year 3000.I think they’re trying to appeal to zoomers who might have binged it on Disney by making their references less millenial/gen x relatable whilst forgetting that those zoomers liked the actual show with all those now very well aged references.
Brickcraft is doing new Futurama stuff. I'd prefer traditional figures, but it's something
>>11790800maybe jakks will take a swing
The best availible now are 3D printed Benders
>>11790974Hulurama basically became Zombie Simpsons with its slow pacing, only a handful of jokes per episode instead of non-stop, elderly voice actors, and too many references to already dated Current Year things.
