The next wave of reveals is in 4 days
>>11812210>Toxo-Viper>Mistress Armada>Psyche-Outwho else?
>>11812239retro-card FireflySerpentorIcebergI'd like for the next reveal to be arctic Baroness/CC, but they'll put that one off until the last day just to crap on me.
>>11812208>Stealth CLAW with figureI'm more interested in this now, since the "Stealth" Viper and the Trubble Bubble in that two pack are just in the red and black Strike Team deco from two years agoIf the CLAW is red and black with a matching Valkyrie, that would actually be great
>>11812210Is Secret Galaxy guy the new brand manager of GI Joe?
>>11812313No, he's just a hired host for the month.
>>11812313As far as I know the short round chick with blue hair is still brand manager.
>>11812408Seems like she's missing in action
HuhDidn't know it was painted under there
Classified will be a dead line by 2028
>>11812544No, and even if it did, they'll have done Interrogator by then and that's the only figure I "need" at this point
>>11812239Iceberg and the new Cobra character
>>11812208You can addArctic Stinger with driverRetro FlashRetro RipcordThis is from the same leak that said Vamp II with tan Clutch, so I believe them.Golobulus is all but confirmed to be in 2027 to commemorate the G.I.Joe movie 40th anniversary.
>>11812562Oh right, I forgot there's supposed to be some totally new one like the cowboy guyHopefully it's the blonde in the red bodysuit
>>11812544Okay Scott
>>11812544Well discussion of it here already is since it's just people talking about how the line is dead arguing with people who say it isn't for the last 534 threads because nobody knows how to ignore anything, including me
>>11812541It's a pretty nice feature.
>>11812566>Arctic Stinger As soon as I heard we were getting the Arctic Hiss I started buying up every cheap Snow Serpent in my area. People were practically giving them away. Great figure. This Stinger furthers my goals.
>>11812541Bruh I pulled on that shit and it wouldn’t come off. I didn’t want to break it
>>11812541what do you mean? the promo shots showed everything pre release
>>11812649Sorry this was the only one I looked at
>>11812654I thought the promo pics showed it but I was confusing it with this
>>11812655You're talking about the unmasked head, right?
>>11812643I got enough snow figures to man the HISS tank itself, but that's it. Still have an Arctic BAT on pre-order and assuming that every actually ships out I'll have myself a nice, simple little Cobra snow team.
Make is happen Super7.
>>11812671I have the deluxe serpent, two retros, an Arctic BAT, and I put the polar bear with them as their trained attack animalI kind of regret getting the second retro snow serpent now that there's 3 (and probably more) snow-themed troops coming
Will you guys sell off your collections when the line ends soon?
>>11812541Is this a troll to get me to snap that thing off?
>>11812707as soon as yo mama stops selling her ass, cuh
>>11812687>deluxe snow serpent Jelly >polar bear Fuck I really thought I didn’t need that thing
>>11812714yeah, the original snow serpent sold out real fast but gamestop had it up for order for a while longer than everywhere else and I gambled on thatI think it might've even shipped later than the other sites if I remember correctly, but either way I at least got the oneThe other day I did the same thing with the hooded Cobra Commander at the incorrect price point, and that order is still sitting in my queue so hopefully it sticks through to the releaseThe polar bear isn't worth the whole price of that set, but it is probably the best polar bear figure ever made
>>11812681I'm waiting to see their version of Baroness and Zarana.
>>11812681Super7 won't even be around in a couple months
>>11812707I never understood morons who do this. Why spend all that time and money collecting something just to sell it all because there stops being "new" stuff in the line. To me that screams you didn't actually care about the line and just collected things because it was popular. >>11812687Eh, I was pretty disappointed with the other "Arctic" characters they revealed so far. The Viper two pack is just normal Vipers....but in white. That's about as lazy as you can get. They could've at least mixed up some of their parts to make em look like they were wearing more winter proof gear or something, but as is I have no interest in simple white repaints. Now if the rumored Arctic Baroness and Cobra Commander come out nice, I may grab them. But they'll be destined for headswaps or something, only really want one of each main character in my collection. >>11812724>but it is probably the best polar bear figure ever madeThat's debatable.
>>11813015>I never understood morons who do this. Why spend all that time and money collecting something just to sell it all because there stops being "new" stuff in the line. To me that screams you didn't actually care about the line and just collected things because it was popular. There are collectors, and there are consumers. Consumers feel the need to have what's new. What's new is what's the best version of (fill in blank). They're the kind of people who need to move every couple of years and lease cars instead of buying because they need their entire lives to be in a constant state of "new." When a series ends, it's old then. It's time to find something new to consume. They're not nostalgia/sentimental collectors, and ultimately what they spend their money on is disposable.
>>11813091Consumers are the kind of people who throw away perfectly good clothes because they're one year old and not the latest.>>11812944Yeah they will. They're doing fine. >>11812707They've increased the number of releases every year for the past 3 years. They wouldn't be doing that if the line was doing badly.
Which Joe should come with the Polar Battle Bear?
>>11813141Arctic Green Shirt. No small vehicle like that should have a dedicated named Joe unless the original version also had that same character.
>>11813141Sub Zero, he raised and trained at least 10 polar bears. There was a whole episode about it.
>>11812707I'd do it now but gee whiz that'd be a lot of effort just listing what I have, and obviously making sure I got every bit I can find included in the loose figures lot. But yeah, you want a hiss sealed? Got you. Dr mindbender? Serpentor with air chariot? Vamp? Trouble bubbles? Tiger paw and warpath? Chuckles? All in opened. And that's just the GOOD stuff.
>>11813015I've fulfilled my enjoyment and now they are in storage. I still deeply love gi Joe but I honestly don't see myself devoting the time money and effort into collecting action figures much longer. The spare money would be nice too..
>>11813141Since we're getting arctic Flint and Lady Jaye with snowcat soon, I'd like an arctic version of another primary Joe.
>>11813224Yet here you are
>>11813166Isn’t that what we’re already getting in the 3 pack with Drift Viper and Arctic SAW Viper?
>>11813247Eh, deep six caught my attention. It's missing sharc but it looks as good as I imagined it. I did pre order the throne as well, it'll look good independently of a shelf full of joes. I'll still say classified are the best value on the market whether I'm involved with them or not.
>>11813328how is this being updated but still so blurry
>>11813328Before the end of the month we should:Know who the last 3 retro characters are.Reveal toys of the Iceberg wave.See some of the vehicles.
>find Professor Rottclaw >check price tag>get pissed off $55 for basically the same thing as Croc Master which was $35. Yeah I’m just gonna have to pass
>>11813496it's funny because he's also supposed to be kind of an army builder since the helmeted head is meant to be some kind of "dino viper" style troop
>>11813503
>>11813367I think Hasbro itself leaks it out as a blurry mess.
>>11813503Paleo-Viper.
>>11813328Is this image someone having a giggle? Its resolution 2202x1236 is larger than a PC from 1998 could take and yet the text is so blurry as to look like horrible 23kb jpegs from 1998.
>>11813512>paleothey have have sick abs under that armor, then
>>11813264I thought he was an Arctic Steel Brigade. I want a dude in a ski mask with a green helmet, maybe do the alt heads business so you can have different versions when you buy multiple.
>>11813516its a faggot troll because it doent tell you anything only after reveals is it updated
>>11813505>This is a $250 photo Lol
>>11813520Paleontologists study dinosaurs. The name is based on that.
>>11813670no kiddingI thought fitness bros fully invented the term in 2017
>>11813367tried to get google to sharpen it.
>>11813825>Stealth PooI know there are Cobra species from India but this is taking the snake nomenclature a bit far.
>>11813825I look forward to getting Arctic Assault K.I.S.S. in my collection.
I love how much june makes vala, chad, and the other hasbro antis absolutely seethe
>>11813825useless since day 1
>>11813825>Stealth PooIndia has joined GI Joe as a ninja. His primary role is to scam-call Cobra officers and soldiers to get their bank accounts so he can steal their money. >Tomb RaiberI don't get how they fucked that one up.
>>11813990They have nothing without Classified. They rely entirely on classified collectors who say "that'll look cool in my collection."
>>11813825>Stealth PooBitch all you want; AI does have some usefulness.
>>11813825Try harder
>>11814272AI has a harder time with upscaling the resolution of text than anything else. At least that's my experience with it. I'm not that guy who posted that but I've ran into the same issues. You can try for yourself and see if you get better results.
why not just use the one from the full force weekly youtube videos instead of trying to use ai? he updates every time he puts out a new video
>>11814298Can you do it?
>>11813825Why are they listing the snow cat this year?
>>11814308Because we receive it this year.
I wonder if “rugged Duke” is Energon Universe Duke.
>>11814308It comes out in the Fall, which technically makes it this year's release even though it was ordered last year.
Top 3 Wish List items before the line ends soon?

Be aware of spoilers going around about this Wednesday’s reveals
>>118144251. Jetpack General Hawk2. Salvo3. Countdown4. Barricade 5. Downtown
>>11814549There aren't any beyond the known rumor list. But hey who knows? Maybe they'll surprise us by showing us the stealth-poo figure.
>>11814549How about you say what they are?
>>11814549How exactly can a toy reveal be spoiled? Do you mean it's going to spoil a movie? Because other than that toy reveal videos don't have plots, they can't be spoiled.
>>11814612it doesn't make sensethey're probably going to announce the next standard wave on wednesday, and we already know what 4 of the 5 figures will be, because they officially announced their names months agoThe only iffy thing is that the 5th one might be a new character, likely from the recent comics, and if so it'll probably be that blonde chick with the red jumpsuit
>>11814549Since when do we not post leaks here?
>>11814554Oh shit I forgot Captain Gridiron
>>11814489>female VipersDoes Cobra put them on birth control? Or do they give them 3 weeks off a month (1 for pms, 1 their period, and a week to recalibrate)? Do they fuck the Vipers or are they lesbians? Do they have special equipment to accommodate breasts? Do they have power armor to make them as strong and fast as men? Can I ask a second question? When you buy female figures do you pretend to be female or do you only manhandle them from the 3rd person? Do you touch their boobs and ass and pussy intentionally or incidentally? Finally can you tell me in your own opinion what is the difference between morals and ethics?
>>11814644>Finally can you tell me in your own opinion what is the difference between morals and ethics?Morality staunchly black and whiteWhile ethics can skew the line, for example, it would be ethical to test a cure for cancer on people, though 1 in 100 might die before you finalize the formulaBut morally that would be wrong, regardless of how it might benefit others down the line, though you wouldn't be a very good scientist if you had moral objections on those groundsEverything else in your post is schizophrenic.
>>11814425Interrogater with or without chopper packLamprey (would the Moray be possible as a Haslab? Maybe too big, but I still want the Lamprey)Voltrar (I think he's in the works already? )Other than that, Female versions of the other troop builders.
Were/are these guys considered to be military? Probably, since they had/have military rank.
>>11814644I imagine female Vipers must be entirely celibate and married to the idea of Cobra as a cause. They do not seem to give them any additional power armor or equipment accommodations besides the standard custom sizing and suits designed for women. The rest of your post is extremely lewd.
>>11814681all the mid and upper rank cobra troops have needless espionage training and sociopathic behaviorsyou'd just want some girls on staff too, a jacked psycho dude could solve most problems but there's a 1/10 chance it would be more effect to have a woman go in and fuck somebody
>>11814681What happens if they get their period in the middle of a firefight? Do they free-bleed or do they have Cobra tampons and pads? If they make a female viper they should have plenty of mag pouches but for boxes of tampons.
Imagine being ina foxhole with a female Viper and watching her, sweaty and filthy, struggle with those tight, unforgiving pants and then seeing her jam a military grade tampon into her hairy and bloody pussy while a Rolling Thunder comes right past you.
>>11814686nigga periods are not that serious of a thing I know there's episodes of Married with Children and Roseanne that hype it up, but those are comediesand women in real life who complain about it are vastly overstating their discomfort, and/or they don't eat enough and/or aren't hydrated enough and thus things that would normally kind of hurt now hurt worsethis is also why women faint and cry about things, and the source of most of their problems
>>11814694Mostly true. There are some women who are "heavy bleeders" during menstruation.
>>11814818the viscosity and amount of blood has no effect on the sensationit's the contraction of the uterine walls or whatever that causes the uncomfortable crampingit's the same as how blood flow from a wound doesn't dictate the pain one feels from the wound, it's the separation of tissues that causes the pain
>>11814331More like 1991 Duke (the red/tan with gloves outfit version)
>>11815080Fuck yes, please
>>11812944You said this last year, and every day they still exist I laugh in your face.
>>11815080That wouldn't be so bad. Gotta keep the puttees, though.
>>11812944I bought the Duke Ultimate from BBTS because it was only $13+. I wish I had taken them all at that price, because I liked it so much and I like the Flint better that I then had to chase one down. And paid more, especially with the postage, than it would have cost me last holiday from BBTS.Super7 will more likely be sold than ever completely go out of business. I doubt it will be as stupid a process as Ad Populum ending up with Diamond Select Toys only to not pursue it's licensed IPs, or want to do anything with it's molds, with any Gentle Giant sculpts or anything related to DST's collectibles.
>>11815420I'd love Ultimates if they weren't 1" too big. But I guess the licensing agreement is they can't be the same scale as Classified.
Come for the gi Joe Stay for the ob-gyn discussion
>tfw no BPD female viper gf
>>11814644>Do they have power armor to make them as strong and fast as men?According to that woman pilot in the cartoon all Cobra troops are given steroids and other shit to hell and back, so I imagine for Cobra your physical condition is irrelevant since they'll alter you chemically. Like genome soldiers in MGS.
3 pulse exclusives tomorrow
>>11815824I’m guessing vehicles.
>>11815824Are they going to make Vamp II pulse exclusive again like the first one? I'd take it the Laser Cannon will be exclusive, then they release a retro card of GSlam for retail. Whats the third, Action Man? Or something name dropped a while ago.
>>11815824>Pulse Exclusive>Because NO retailer would take ANY of the three>Paypiggies get first crack at them because FOMO!!!This line is gasping it's last breaths and trying to fleece the paypiggies as best as they can before Classified ends.
>>11812944>Super7 won't even be around in a couple monthsThis>>11813110>Yeah they will. They're doing fine.Define "fine">>11813110>They've increased the number of releases every year for the past 3 years. They wouldn't be doing that if the line was doing badly.Compared to how much Super7 has dramatically DECREASED their output, right buddy???Which is it??? Super7 is barely cranking out much of anything compared to their last 3 years, Classified has cranked out a ton, and according to YOU in the same fucking post this indicates both are doing well. Damn son, pick a position and stick with it.MEANWHILE, last year's o-ring Universal Monsters were previewed at Toy Fair but held until their October "Boo-dega", wave 2 is getting dumped NOW rather than being held for Boo-Dega. Why? Because they're clearly having major cash-flow issues. Their recent mega-loan changed their inventory too, they cleared out their warehouse and where they used to have 10+ pages of reaction figures from old inventory have been practically donated to Ross for pennies. Every single indicator is there that Super7 is hurting BAD, and also that Classified is scraping the bottom of the barrel, and you're arguing nonsense. I'm not even going to get wrapped up in your autistic nonsense again. The only thing Classified has going for it is their hard core fans. And look at how many hated the introduction of dinosaurs into Classified.Super7 is very clearly strugglingClassified is running out of classic designs to make, and the new designs aren't well receivedBOTH keep increasing their prices.
>>11815824VAMP II, Laser Cannon and then the stealth CLAW
>>11815824>Preorders for Clutch/Vamp Mk 2, Grand Slam/HAL and Action Man dropping tomorrow at 1 on Pulse. King Coco is getting another preorder run (unspecified date).according to a guy on hisstank who usually knows shit
>>11815824>3 pulse exclusives in one day Wtf >>11815868I’m pissed off too. But >gasping its last breaths You’re so annoying. >>11815886>Vamp 2, Grand Slam and Action ManMore like the line’s latest grails are dropping
>>11815824>Arctic CC/Baroness>Cobra Mocassin>Sgt Slammer with Triple T
>>11815990>Cobra Mocassin>Sgt Slammer with Triple TThey'd show these as renders well in advance of putting them up for order>Arctic CC/BaronessI could see this being an announcement with instant preorder drop, but not when they just did that with Hooded CC a week agoIn my opinion it is time for another Baroness, but I don't think that'll be tomorrow
>>11815824>CC with throne was an instant sellout >Hasbro will respond with producing too damn much Every time.
>>11816024>overpriced toy only sells out because of fomo>immediately show there is no fomowonder how many people cancel just to try their hand at getting it on discount now
>>11816059It doesn't come out until November. If you're going to wait for the clearance price, you'll be waiting until next summer.
>>11815824So I'm guessing we won't see Lara until San Diego Comic-Con then.
>>11815990>>11816017We already know it’s going be:Arctic 3 packMarauders Mutt/Footloose 2 packVamp with Clutch
>>11816112>We already knowhow?
>>11816117His dad works for nintendo>>11815824Neat, I like this prewarning new style of communication they're doing. >>11816024>bitch because they make too few>bitch because they make too muchEvery time.
>>11815824Going to guess arctic 3pack since they always make those teams pack Pulse Exclusives.
>>11816182they also usually make the fuckhuge vehicles pulse exclusives, too
Based bobby?
>>11814644you sound like a bitch
>>11816258>the homoverse
>>11816451If you have more than two female GI Joes, you sir are the bitch and a pansy ass faggot. Baroness and Scarlett are the only (barely) acceptable female Joe figures. Even cover girl is pushing it.
>>11816479yeah, you a bitch
>>11816479>thinking in terms of "Joes"cuckIf you own any Joes you're a fagThis Cobra country, it always has been, you will be pulled apart in Springfield town square by two HISS tanks rolling in opposite directions
>>11815877Not him, but if a toy company has plans to release a product and retailers cancels their orders on them because of poor sales, they're now left holding onto products that they put a lot of work and money into. It's a bad thing. So to make some of their money back, they start releasing it as exclusives to stores. This happened when Hasbro killed the GI Joe Vs Cobra line in the mid-00s to switch over to the larger scale. 3 of the biggest retailers weren't interested in supporting 3 GI Joe toylines, so the last couple of 1:18 waves that were planned became Direct to Consumers (pre-Pulse Hasbro Toy Shop)It also happened with the Star Wars Vintage Collection, where all the 3.75" figures became Walmart exlclusive. So sales go waaay down by becoming exclusive, since only a single store is going to order those products. But in all these cases, they'er still making bank, because there were other sublines selling well Whereas with Classified, there's only one line. So in this case, they're releasing more products, but sales are going down too.You have to remember that toylines like GI Joe are put into production 14 months ahead of time. Retail can react much faster than that, not even taking 3 months to count sales and cancel orders. And at 3 months, that's basically molds already cut and paint prototypes being finalized, if not toys already being molded. And i don't know if you're old enough to remember, but Hasbro used to make movie toylines. Despite only lasting a couple of waves, with maybe 24 figures total, they would outsell the year long, 50+ figure waves by a good margin. So the number of releases doesn't correlate with actual sales.
>>11816523>but sales are going down too.citation needed
>>11815824rumor mill is they are reissuing the two previous Cobra-La offering and "once a man" CC. This announcement is made Considering they were all in stock pulse exclusives this would add up.
>>11816258He should make one stealing a Lego set.
>>11816525Ignore him. It's Subjectanon trying to derail the thread because he's a scale-warring retard.
>>11816479>wants nothing but cock around himThat's what's gay, bruh. I get creeped out when there's nothing but dudes around. And as a fan of the cartoon I think Lady Jaye is more of an iconic female Joe than Scarlett is. I know the comic book says otherwise, and that's fine.
What time is the stream today?
>>1181669111AM ET they are all at the same time.
>>11816698Outsourcing official streams to third party youtubers is very unprofessional of hasbro
>>11816698Wow and we haven’t gotten leaks yet.Impressive.
>>11816605I forgot about Lady Jaye. She’s way better than Scarlett
>>11816784Sweet, "Ski Patrol" custom fodder.
No new character reveals today?
>>11816784I genuinely like this. The colors pop and Ski Patrollers are legitimately badass. Fuck Vail for trying to fuck them over.
>>11816789He said he didn't want to get into 2017 stuff this early in the year. Which means we know pretty much every mainline release for the 2016 already.
>>11816837>2016 take me back
>>11816837So the final two weeks are mainline reveals of the Iceberg wave and then the last retro wave of the year?I was expecting more vehicles reveals since this year’s HasLab isn’t happening.
>>11816851Looking at the numbers, there's room for a few more surprises. 207-2011 gotta be the Iceberg wave.206 Deep Six207208209210211212 Ninja Force Scarlett & T'Jbang213 Grand Slam with HAL214215216 Arctic Assault HISS with Driver217218 Snake Eyes & Varmint vs Cobra Stealth Viper & Stealth Pod219220221 Hooded Cobra Commander with Throne222 Clutch with VAMP MK2
85 for HAL 110 for the Vamp, and 42 for Action Man. All ripoffs as far as I'm concerned, but I'm getting the HAL anyway.
>>11816851>I was expecting more vehicles reveals since this year’s HasLab isn’t happening.well there are CLAW and SNAKE repaints in the wind, but as they are repaints they'd be less interesting to show off for a big event, stuff like that could get dropped outside of streams
>>11816877But doesn’t that describe the Vamp II?
>>11816883loosely, it does have a bunch of different pieces compared to the last one and the Stingerand it's also a special case as the first VAMP is in such high demand and enough people will be satisfied by this one instead of waiting for the reissue they've said is coming, which I wouldn't hold my breath for, since for example the re-issue of the Arctic BAT has taken like two years to happen after it was announced
Is action man hasbro only?
>>11816886In the US yes, its general release every where else.
>>11812208I thought he was holding a hamburger
>>11816891Fucking gay. I remember the day my mom bought me a action man doll at TRU.
>>11816896>TRUAnon...
>>11816899Well yeah they went out of business.
>>11816784This one looks awesome to me. Love the bright orange.
>>11812208I was hoping a lot of these rumors leaks would be announced this month. But so far, nothing accept the Dusty with Sandstorm.
>Still no Lara Croft or arctic CC/Baroness revealWe're getting fucked with. >>11816871>85 for HALWhich isn't bad for the size of it.
>>11816962Told you I cursed the line, never to bear a Baroness again.
>>11816968She's in their plans. There's zero chance they're retiring one of their easiest-selling characters.
>>11816962Don’t expect reveals of Lara Croft until closer to October New York Comic Con
>>11816976That's stupid if that's what they're doing. It was (allegedly) supposed to be a mass-release.
>>11816985Who told you that? It’s suppose to be NYCC exclusive.
>>11816985>>11816991I'm still waiting for someone to post where they said anything about what kind of release it will be
>>11816991That's not a good way to make money with doing a single-run limited con-exclusive of a new and unique mold.
>>11816991I presume that there's going to be a NYCC exclusive and a wide release. You don't make a GIJoe x Tomb Raider collaboration to make something that few people will be able to buy, as a joke. That would piss people off more meaningfully than any benefit you'd get from the thing.
>>11816784Did they limit the choices to Black and Hispanic? Neither are realistic since the over-whelming majority of snow rescue are White boys born and raised in Arctic climates.
Brown helmet is certainly a choice
>>11817049they want the indian market
I'm on punishment and my mom won't let me surf the web, but I got to ask about those three pre orders mentioned previously in the thread. Were those announced today and if so what were they? It was suggested it could be once a man and maybe nemesis enforcer getting a re issue, was that correct? P
>>11817068scroll up, brown person
>>11817103Dammit fuck you I had a literal "laugh out loud" moment, which is rare for me. Not him, which is probably why it's phony.
>$85>still penny pinching with hollowed out parts
>>11817209I definitely also noticed that when I was looking at all those awful photos. I think they got rid of their photographer because all the recent photos suck ass
>>11816786Im going to need a Badger now that this version of Dusty is getting made. already got Big Ben.
>>11817447The Badger is my #1 favorite GI Joe vehicle of all time
>>11816784I just noticed that the arms come down all the way. I hope it's like that in the actual figure because that's one thing that's bugged me to no end in Classified.
Here's your next MTO Haslab reuse Desert Themed vehicle repaint.
>>11817824It's possible, but I don't think they're done with the Arctic theme yet.
>>11817824If I said it once, I'll say it a dozen times. All the Haslabs after the HISS tank will come out in Tiger Force colors. The only vehicle mold that still needs to be released from the original '88 Tiger Force lineup is the Moccasin and that's heavily rumored to be in the works. They've even already released the Tiger Paw. The other Haslab vehicles will be dropped in the yellow and stripes over the next few years, calling it now. ....and I may actually get the Tiger Cat when they get around to it because it'll have far more display usage not being tied to Arctic only displays.....and hopefully will be cheaper.
>>11817594Crazy how few action figures can do that. I have a load of really nicely articulated, expensive imports and basically none of them can do "arms by the sides" properly. I think, weirdly, my Legends Power Princess might be the best one or actually my two Grey Knight elves, Sylvanas and Tyrande. That's about it.
>>11817824That's fine. Are people mad about that?
I was going to say that I am hoping exactly this. Actually I was going to say >>11817824Maybe after Tiger Force but probably not
>>11817824oh no, a repainted vehicle?
This Hasbro figure comes with two heads, the goggles and that cup. I have an on-line friend who makes fantasy customs and I assume she'd take the cup off my hands, if I decided not to keep it. I can definitely use the goggles. I know Zanya has some goggles but that's know what I was looking - I want like safety goggles, high school science lab or even say like a metal shop safety goggles, something like that. I was also thinking the bottom of this figure might work to make a taller Baroness or another female villain? I saw someone harvest things like leather jackets and torso and the hat from Indiana Jones with Joe Classified bodies. Apparently, the heads are too small for Joe bucks, but everything else, neck down, can be swapped. I do think you might be able to do an even swap of the head without the train engineer's hat (which doesn't come off, BTW) with a Joe female to make an extra custom female. You could break the head apart for the hat and maybe still salvage the head sculpt with the Lady Jaye hat and "wig" - I certainly have a few of those left over that I don't have a female head for tho I did try some cheap female wrestler heads and those work with glue.Anyways - I'm trying to decide if the boxed figure is worth purchasing for the goggles and possible useful fodder and would appreciate some feedback from folks who probably have way more experience than I do with customizing as I am just starting? I've mostly bought fodder as I need it and never bought an entire figure when it didn't have ONE major piece I NEEDED (e.g. a torso/legs combo from the retro snow serpents).
>>11818437Yeah
>>11818437>I want like safety goggles, high school science labI'd use a Black Series Bodhi Rook head for those, but they require cutting so let's table that.In this case, I'd probably try to find the parts I wanted from the figure over buying the whole thing. On the other hand, you never can tell when you'll get an idea that will require that that figures parts. Worse case you send her down the line in a fodder lot on fleaBay.
>>11818488>Black Series Bodhi Rook headOh yeah, those look great - so thanks; one more thing to look for when I see the tons of these boxes at Ross! But if they are stuck on his head, then yes - they are just like some of the Joe helmet glasses that are stuck on for no real good reason.Just realized the extra Lifeline I am trying to sell comes with clear eye protection that can definitely pass for safety goggles in say a high school shop class. >Worse case you send her down the line in a fodder lot on fleaBay.I have so much of this stuff, it's not even funny - although it's a lot of weapons, BAF pieces, heads, hands, etc. So more pieces and 'things' than a practical, actual body.I wish more people would sell torsos and lower bodies or complete headless bodies. I buy those when I see a lot of 3-4 for a reasonable price, buying 1 at a time is a waste of money when I can get 4 desert dusty's for $11+ each with all their weapons and his camo painted head. That head looks great once you carefully remove the camo paint. >>11818457I just got a coupon offer for $11+ so I bought it, you should be proud you convinced someone on line, anon.
>>11818500>Oh yeah, those look great - so thanks; one more thing to look for when I see the tons of these boxes at Ross!>But if they are stuck on his head, then yes - they are just like some of the Joe helmet glasses that are stuck on for no real good reason.Yeah, he's still sitting around while I find a way to get the goggles off without too much damage to them. I'm a fan of figs having goggles, so I know what it's like to hunt for ones with just the right look.
Hasbro already collabed with Transformers and MOTU, will they also try with GI Joe? I know Hot Wheels have been releasing GI Joe vehicles. And TF just got Hotwheels as new characters. Heman and Skeletor, Man At Arm and Teela also. I can see Triclops and Trapjaw as Classified figs. What other characters would work for a collab? Stratos reusing Raptor's wings?
>>11818583I'd get Skeletor, Trapjaw, and Evil Lyn but that's probably it

The Action Man packaging. I suppose Lara Croft will be similar.
>>11819664
>>11819664Oh it's actually that Action Man. I thought it was just...a convenient name.
>>11819664>>11819666Is Action Man really that popular in EU? enough to give it Deluxe price when he has the same gear as Alpine and only a new headsculpt. Everything else is a reuse.I think Lara will be in a retro card. Her tease art was retro style.
>>11819772it'll definitely be more of a "classic" lara since the game this will ostensibly be tied in with is a remake of the first one
>>11819774Im fine with this modern classic design. I just hope they will include an alt head with the PS1 game era design, even if they use the remastered version.
>>11819772>Is Action Man really that popular in EU?Bri'ish anon here, I grew up with Action Man. Kinda tempted by this honestly and hope they do a Dr. X at some point.
>>11819786Unless they do some shit like include a panther with her or whatever, she should really just come with the dual pistols, maybe an automatic, I can't remember if you got dual uzis or anything in the first game (of it they'll add them in the remake), and like the grappling hook and string from the ninjas or somethingand then maybe closed fistsIt's another reason I don't see the logic of making it a con exclusive, because they'll probably overcharge in some dumb way + the obvious scarcity concernsAt 30 dollars or 35 or whatever, it'll should be a pretty simple figure all things considered and they should print endless numbers of them and put them everywhere because Lara will sell to most us and also bajillion people who don't give a shit about gi joe
>>11819788Ausfag here, Action Man was huge here too, way bigger than GI Joe was. That and Max Steel
>>11819786I want more than one version. There's too many good versions of her to blow it all on one figure.
>>11819774>>11819786That's the outdated version, she looks like this now.
>>11819864Also just discovered this is a skin for the upcoming game if anyone gives a shit, have to link your account to Besos's future drone strike database though. Would be cool to get a classified version like >>11819800 said, so many versions.
>>11819772I worked in the Dominican Republic and ActionMan was popular.
>>11819864>"that's outdated, here's the new version">looks almost exactly the same
>>11819796>making it a con exclusiveLike the other anon said earlier in the thread, I haven't seen any source or official statement saying it is, just one guy here declared it to be the case without any evidence. The only thing we have seen is the tease saying it will be revealed this June. I may be wrong, but I don't see any way that Amazon who are probably the ones who made deal with Hasbro for the crossover, would not sell the figure on their own store. Considering both upcoming games are Amazon Studio games and they are making a live action series for Prime, I'm guessing they have made some deal with Embracer to have bought the use of the Tomb Raider license for a bunch of products or something.Even if I am wrong, I find it hard to believe the cross over would be a narrow exclusive because there is clearly a wider Tomb Raider resurgence push being made.
>>11819878it is the same, one is an in-game render (presumably) and the other is art
>>11819878The face was changed a lot from the man face of that previous unified design is all I mean, clearly Amazon/Crystal Dynamics reacted to the negative sentiment towards it when it was first revealed and that garbage cartoon and made her more attractive. That's all I meant anon, she looks better now, so we can expect a better face on the figure..
>>11819880I don't even know if hasbro would even make a significant profit selling only like 2000 Lara figures for like 40 bucks each at most when there'd obviously be some profit split with the rights holders unlike their in-house Joe brand shitunless it's merely the tip of the spear for a full on sub-line with 2/3 more mass market Laras that'll hit shortly after
>>11819883I guess we'll soon find out anyway, hopefully it isn't some weird San Diego Comic Con shit.
>>11819885All the "she's exclusive" rumors have said NYCCThe only exclusives for SDCC are the fatal fluffy and shipwreck vs. deming
>>11819888I'm pretty sure people speed-read the NYCC announcement. That graphic that got posted just said there may be more info about her revealed at NYCC, not that she was an exclusive to that event.
>>11819894NYCC is in October. That's quite a while that they expect people to wait. They'll basically have teased it then make people wait almost half a year to actually see it.
>>11819772I don't know if popular is the right word, but we know about him in the US. I use to get his toys at closeout stores like Big Lots back in the 2000s. You could cletup on 1/6 scale figures, vehicles, and accessories.
>>11820253When Bush was President and got us into Iraq and Afghanistan, Hasbro once again turned anti-US anti-war and anti-military just like they did during Vietnam. They briefly tried (and failed) to push Action Man as a substitute to the Joes.
There has been a copy of Blowtorch sitting at my local GameStop for about 9 months. I was looking at it just last weekend. I went back for it today and it was gone. Nice
>>11820430Well you had nine months to get it. There's always a risk when you get indecisive as a collector. I got it. It's not on my top-ten list, but it's alright.
>>11820218That’s the plan. And that she’s NYCC exclusive at first.
>>11820555>And that she’s NYCC exclusive at first.according to who, when?are you the same fucker that's just been saying she was the NYCC exclusive for like the past two weeks? because that's very different from being exclusive there "at first"I would appreciate if you could answer this because whoever keeps saying literally never answers when anyone questions where they heard that
>>11820565Pretty sure he's just speculating and phrasing it like it's true, I don't know why he's doing that, the only thing that has been shown or said was the initial tease.
>>11820292This was before that. Like 1998-2003. It was based off the cartoon from a couple years earlier.
>>11820555Source: your butt
>>11820687
>>11820777that shit gets updated by nobodiesthe actual "leak" doesn't include the actual product names, just the internal code names
>>11820555>>11820777The thing is I wouldn't put it past Crystal Dynamics and Hasbro to make a dick move like that because exclusive = higher price.
>>11820786there's only so much you could charge for an action figureit wouldn't be gi joe x tomb raider if it's some 100 dollar import-tier figureand it wouldn't be financially worth it to sell profit-split licensed figure for 30 to 50 dollars at a number below like 5,000, which is the range these con exclusives tend to hitprices in the aftermarket would sure creep up but no corp involved is getting that money
>>11820791They're selling cheap Tomb Raider shorts for $80. They have no shame.
Why does Cobra Commander alternate between the helmet and the cloth mask in the original cartoon? Is it just because the helmet gets hot and uncomfortable?
>>11820875>Cool mirror-chrome mask looks great but needs constant polishing and is uncomfortable>Hood is comfy but keeps getting misinterpreted and also doesn't offer full anonymity due to the eyeholes>That other thing he tried that one time in 2009 was embarrassing and he'd rather forget about itBeing Cobra Commander is suffering.Jokes aside according to my far more learned Joefren, the IRL reason is the original toy that landed on shelves in the initial waves had the mask, but the mail-away version (which is far more common due to being in production and available via the mail-order service for like, 6 years) had the hood, so they alternated between the two so kids wouldn't feel like they had the "wrong" CC.Speaking of hooded CC, I managed to snag a PO for him on Amazon. Pretty hyped, even aside from the figure itself looking spectacular, the throne is fucking awesome.
>>11820878It kept CC on the pegs. The original CC was produced for two years (1982 - 1983), but the cartoon didn't really get going until 1984. So they needed a new version of him to keep on the pegs so kids can get Cobra's leader. So 1984 got hooded CC.
>>11820875In canon explaination is that the chrome facelesd mask helmet is worn only when CC goes into battle. The hoid is his nirmal mask. The long answer is that there was miscommunication issues with Hasbro and Marvel over CC's design. Hasbro wanted CC to not wear a mask but Hama wanted him to wear a hood. The chrome mask was the compromise (hence why CC was mail order only in wave one but retail in wave two) and the hooded version only made as a mail in only toy.
Don’t expect any new figure reveals this week. We’ll get a hand in hand look at Dusty/Sandstorm and the Avalanche Rescuer. And be shown the final week’s renders.
>>11820973That sucks if true. So far they haven't shown anything new besides the Avalanche rescuer and HAL.
>>11821026And hooded CCAnd VAMP 2
>>11820973Well I expect we'll get to see Lara either as a render or a figure this week regardless, if they stick to their June reveal commitment.
>>11820973according to whom?I've seen people say the next mainline wave will get render reveals including the one figure that hasn't been announced officially yet
>be last week >find Professor Rottclaw at the store >look him over and put him back >basically the second I leave the store my imagination starts running wild with stories and scenarios for him >go back and get him today Yeah, he’s fucking awesome. Overpriced as he is, I’m still happy. In a minor defense of his price, the similar Hammond collection Dinos for $16.99 are slightly smaller and have several less POA.
Unsolicited Professor Rottclaw Headcannon: He was a former lead scientist at Jurassic Park who created Fiona, giant scorpions and other creatures for Cobra as a side gig but refused to leave JP due to his obsession with Dinosaurs. When JP shut down he was recruited once again by Cobra and granted a full black budget.
Many of Cobra’s generals protested the Commander handing over the keys to the abandoned Cobra Island. It seems the skeptics were right about the Professor as the internal audit is going very poorly.
> Aw Didn’t you enjoy playing with my baby girl? Your friends will too, there are so many more of them coming..
>>11820292>Hasbro once again turned anti-US anti-war and anti-military just like they did during Vietnam. They briefly tried (and failed) to push Action Manvery briefly? considering the revived GI Joe in 2002 and anti-war sentiment was hitting it big during GI Joes biggest time in 2003-2004, where they were expanding the line many times over.Kids (and parents, who are the ones that buy the majority of toys for kids) did not give a shit about what childless protestors were bitching about at anti-war demonstrations in the 00s.I mean, Obama ran his presidential platform on taking us out of wars and generally presenting as anti-war, yet GI Joe became huge in 2008-2009 and maintained its popularity until the second movie bombed in 2013. Anti-war shit did not matter at all with kids.Fuck man, 21st Century and bbi were expanding their military lines in the early 00s, so we were getting realistic as fuck, collector grade military toys in the childrens toy aisles for years and years. Even after 21st Century Toys imploded, Unimax was releasing realistic military shit into the 2010s and so were a lot of the Chinese budget toy makers.in short, action man was shit and kids ate up anything military for decades.
>>11821547I feel by that point, nostalgia for the original ARAH line grew too strong and fandoms in general became far more savy to not even care about "real world" conflicts anymore and just wanted cool toys. Lets face it, it wasn't "parents buying for their kids" that made the ME Joes a success, it was the far more open and accepting adult collector market that made those figures fly off the shelves. The whole "War is bad so no one wants Joes" marketing schtick no longer was a thing by the time the mid/late '00s rolled around. G.I. Joe was no longer about specific army men or military stuff and was just another revived nerd franchise from the 80s to take advantage of.
>>11821547>21st Century ToysWere they the same company as Chap Mei? >imploded What the fuck happened to them?
>>11820879As that other anon said above, hooded Cobra Commander wasn't on pegs, he was a mail-in figure, and he was the longest-running mail-in for the whole line, available into the early 90s, so kids could almost ALWAYS get a version of Cobra Commander.
>>11821552While the adult crowd (16+) for GI Joes in the 00s was unusually high (the highest for any toyline at the time), they still only made up about 1/4th of sales. Everyone else who bought it was 15 and underAnd you're kinda ignoring the fact that military lines in general were huge in the 00s. It wasn't just GI Joe, but various generic army men likes Corpshit, Chap Mei, 21st Century, Unimax, bbi, and who knows who that i ignored because they were shit. Target, Walmart, and ToysRUS all had their own budget grade military toylines that were sorta kinda but not really exclusive to their stores (majority of stock sold at TRU/Walmart/Target, but some indie stores would sometimes carry it).>>1182156721st Century made collector grade stuff. Chap Mei made knockoff quality figures/vehicles, but were acceptable considering their price.21st Century got dropped by Walmart, because TRU was going to carry the line, and then nobody carried their shit. Then the economy died and their stuff became super duper fucking expensive. So this jet would have sold for like $70 at Walmart, but because it was sold by a few online stores, it was like $200. .. and not really made by 21st Century, but whoever bought the molds from them.
>>11821547Buddy here looks like he's turning into the Xenomorph with that elongated alien-ass head.
>>11821590don't make fun of children toy maker's works like that! While their humans were kinda funky, their vehicles were fucking amazing. Check out this full 1:18 scale Cobra helicopter that cost only $40 in 2005 or 2006. It's like an inch shorter than HAsbro's 1:12 Dragonfly, which cost $275, because GI Joe vehicles are always midgetized.
>>1182158921st Century Toys made awesome aircraft and figures. BBI did too. It sucks that neither company survived. They'd be making awesome stuff in Classified scale now if they were still around.
Tomorrow is the next wave of reveals. I hope it's interesting. So far the only thing I'd be willing to spend money on is the "Worlds Without End" Shipwreck 2-pack. And I really want to see the Arctic CC/Baroness 2-pack. I've given up on waiting for Lara. They're fucking us around with that one. They'll show it when they'll show it, and since it'll be a con-exclusive, my money will most likely be spent on Shipwreck instead.
>>11821602>>11821701Those were the days. Admiral had prototypes of an F-4 Phantom and an A-1 Skyraider, and whi can forget JSI (who had some of 21st's old molds) and their F-15I and J-11BS prototypes?Maybe 3D and resin printing will progress to the point where truly cost-effective, true 1:18 vehicles are possible again.
>>11821701>They'd be making awesome stuff in Classified scale nowthey would not, because that's cost prohibitive. A 1/12 scale modern anything that can fly would be the size of a bookcase. There's few people who afford something like that and even fewer people who have the space for it.And making it half scale like Hasbro's stuff would be missing the entire point of what 21st Century and BBI were doing. Maybe it's better that they're gone, because it would just to be enshitification.Besides, there's still a wide profit margin on 1:18 vehicles, hence multiple companies still making them. If Sam Goody/KB/TRU/Suncoast had never died, they likely would have stayed alive making 1:18 stuff to this day.>>118217373d printing is kinda shit. I hear all about old projects crumbling apart like taco shells... even unused spools become brittle.I have more than a couple of resin prints, so i know that it's way too fragile to ever be used as anything but a resin statueshit. Opening doors, moving wheels, closing cockpits, having guns turrets of any sort... everything would break in minutes from a figure interacting with them.
>>118217863D printer stuff is getting better and so are the materials used. If you have a cheap printer then yeah you have limits. People are making guns, car parts, and other stuff that's durable enough with better printers that take better materials. The catch is those industrial-grade printers are far from cheap.
>>11821862While resin printing is more detailed, BAMBU Labs printers seem to get better with each generation and it's filaments. Hoping in the next 5 years it'll be almost indistiguishable from resin printers today with layers lines almost invisible. I just have no space or the patience to deal with the mess resin printers require. I want to just load a model and press print.
>>11821786>A 1/12 scale modern anything that can fly would be the size of a bookcase. There's few people who afford something like that and even fewer people who have the space for it.Yeah, there's some merit to that. When Bobby Vala said he couldn't get his Locust to price out I knew then that most real world aircraft were off the table. An M4 Sherman isn't terribly larger than that Rezvani he did, but anything else? Can't wait to see how squat Ramen Toys' F-14 is.
>>11821871>I want to just load a model and press print. We're getting there. They really did evolve a lot over the past 5 years.

>>11822271Yeah they said mine was delayed but as far as i can tell i cant track it despite being given a tracking number>>11822273Was it also from walmart? I swear something is going on where companies are getting dumber and more incompetent about delivering anything
>>11822196Why are you getting angry at toy companies if it's your local shipping services that suck ass?You sound entitled as fuck, wanting everything NOW and AT MY DOORSTEP THE DAY ITS SUPPOSED TO BE RELEASED!!!!!!!Every company aims to make as much money as possible and never piss off their customers by delaying their products, but shit happens. Delays have always happened, but you're just noticing it more because you're 15 years old now and learned how to read the release dates.>>11821933definitely not a fan of midget vehicles in 1:12 and i really don't have the space for anything larger than a motorcycle in that scale (motorcycles basically being little bigger than a normal sized 6" figure).I think it's easier to overlook made up vehicles, like GI Joe stuff usually is, due to the concept being a complete fantasy, but if it's based on something real, you know how off it looks. Like some Power Wheels version of the real thing. As for the Ramen Toys stuff, i bet it'll look more like the Top Gun 2 movie f14 than Hasbro's Skystriker in terms of size, unless it costs more than $350. ... or is it 3d printed?
>>11822314No, it's from a small retailer out in AZ. This is definitely a USPS screw-up.>>11822364.As for the Ramen Toys stuff, i bet it'll look more like the Top Gun 2 movie f14 than Hasbro's Skystriker in terms of size, unless it costs more than $350. ... or is it 3d printed? The only detail I've heard mentioned is that it's gonna be 4' long (roughly 14" short for true 1:12). I suspect it'll be how Hasbro did it in the old days, with a Joescale cockpit on a roughly 1:35 fuselage. 4' would put it in the ballpark of 1:15.5. I can't see them doing anything that large for under $400.
>>11822427>>11822429>>11822433>>11822435Great pics. Goddamn, that headsculpt is cool.
>>11822196>>11822202>>11822204>>11822273I ordered two like a week ago, and they showed up on Monday. They came via UPS. Kind of funny, because I used to always loathe UPS and FedEx and refused to have anything shipped by them if I could help it. USPS was always the better option I felt. These days, that has turned on its head. UPS and FedEx are far cheaper and more reliable. USPS does some fucking strange shit these days. I live in a large area with a lot of suburbs, and I could always tell when a package was a day away when it got to the big USPS hub. It would then be at my post office literally just down the street, and then it would get delivered that next day. Now for some reason, half the shit ends up at the main hub, then gets shipped to the PO down the street, then it gets shipped to some other suburb, then it goes back to the main hub, then back to the PO down the street, THEN it gets delivered.I dread when I have packages from BBTS, because they also used to go that same hub listed above, and then they'd go to my local PO, then get delivered. It was so fast that BBTS could ship a package out, and I'd often have it literally the next day. Now it gets shipped to that same main hub (which is about a 20 minute drive for me) then it literally gets shipped two states away, travels through 2-3 more states, only to end up literally back at the same hub it started at, and finally gets delivered a day or two later. So, it used to take one, maybe two days to arrive, now it can take a week and most of that time it literally circles around only to end up right back where it started. USPS's logistics seem like they are absolutely FUCKED these days.
>>11822364I am entitled to get a package when they say its going to be delivered that same day, fuck walmarr of being so shit and incompetent they cant even back up their promises
New one's up.>>11822724>>11822719I've gotten shit delivered from Walmart and managed to be home when they delivered. They don't use carrier vans like Amazon, FedEx, UPS, and USPS do. They use immigrants who don't know fuck all about the city they're living in while using their own personal cars they bought with free Biden-money to make the home deliveries.
>>11822314AI may be getting primed for logistics use so get ready for your toys to be sent to Florida even when the destination is in the northeast as the AI hallucinates geography to the point it thinks Louisiana is next to Vermont.
>>11822719ooof, walmart? You desrve it.So why blame toy companies?
