Got the BFS Conan off of Walmart with free shipping. In case someone wants to see how the waist joint is connected here you go. Gauntlets are sculpted on the wrists. Skin tone looks way better in hand than the photos BFS used. Just needs a bone necklace or something to break up the massive bare chest for a better look. The necklace from the Frazetta Girls' Conan looks great on him. The waist belt with loop for the sword can be removed.

>>11843650>4 Kings or 4 QueensSome stores seem to be getting both. They might be part of the August reset. Keldor is in the latest CC 200x wave set to release this month. He's also featured in the mini comic included with Randor and Marlena. This might be why they are popping up in stores as well. I had thought they were online only or fanchannel exclusives.

Picked up this bad boy for $10. The previous owner dunked the whole thing in coke to get rid of corrosion but that just fucked the motor completely.
>>11843658Maybe the head is better, but he still doesnt look right.
>>11843650I didn't know this was happening so it suprised me to see four Randors on the shelf when I went in after work for cat food. Didn't buy any though, I just got Skeletor from the Filmation line to go with my Skeletor collection and to hell with the rest of it.
>>11843705It's the proportions. They're still trying to be classic figure rather than realistic like the cartoon.
>>11843785>He-Man is a Conan rip-off>In the early 90s Conan got a cartoon where HE was a He-Man rip-off.Fun fact: One of the figures from the Hasbro line would be retooled to become The Flesh in Action League Now.

Death Dealer comming out soon. Damn he looks good but man 40 bucks for what really is a origin figure is rough.
>>11844281>Death Dealer comming out soon. Damn he looks good but man 40 bucks for what really is a origin figure is rough. From who? Frazetta Girls already shipped theirs and its been awhile since Zoloworld did one.
A Masterverse Revelations Faker just arrived in the mail yesterday from a low-ball offer ($11 for just his part of the bill) with combined shipping.Got the Revelations Savage He-Man loose, from a different auction lot sale two weeks with the Revelations He-Man (NIB) himself on a different offer. While shipping hasn't been free, it's been totally reasonable, with combined shipping (that amount for Faker includes his shipping and taxes, for example) for other things I have wanted or needed, and everything - so far - works out to below current prices on BBTS or Amazon. Are the 3 weapons and really the two extra hands (plus Orko) worth trying to score the boxed Deluxe Savage He-Man -- or at least complete contents (I don't display or collect boxes) ? Trying to figure out if I need more of these, like the Viking, or go for more New Eternia (found She-Ra New Etheria at a Ross for $12.99). And yes, I'm new.
>>11844394The weapons certainly make Savage He-man more fun. I can personally take or leave theextra hands. Score Orko while you can, I doubt the core line will cover him and the chronicles one likely wont see mass release outside of the SDCC set.
Post some random Motu teams! This one strikes me as "post Filmation." Maybe Queen Frosta has to use her ice powers to fight climate change on Eternia.
>>11844468Okay, thank you, good to know. So the weapons from the Viking or Battle Armor wouldn't be decent replacements, or best to have enough weapons for all of them? I might get both of those, but definitely one. With the deep discount on them online, I'll probably dump the viking (for the helmet) into my pile of loot once a pre-order arrivea and my shipping clock starts.
>>11844394I love using Rev Faker as my main He-Man

>>11844503Funny, I also find myself putting Gilius with my MOTU stuff. I even put him on top of a Jurassic World dino I got to mimic the mounts you get in-game.
>>11844520Savage He-man's Axe is alot bigger than other Masterverse Axes, if you can skew for a partially complete one I'd say do it. They all come with so many hands you wont miss the ones included with him.
>>11844503Badass line up. I need to try something simikar soon.
>>11844831Best case scenario? Mattel rides MOTU off into the sunset as the gen X/early millenial fanbase ages into retirement. Amazon is bankrolling a sequel however, and there's a 50/50 chance that it will focus on Adam or pivot to She-ra, so even tht could stand to further bury the series. All we can do is enjoy the ride down.
Which line do you hope the most that they'll make all Movie figures? Origins,Chronicles or Core?
>>11844831Irrelevant. Box office means nothing and a theatrical release was a formality. It’s a movie built for streaming. Mattel and Amazon won. Once it’s on prime it’ll stay in the top 10 with super Mario and sonic
>>11844847Core. Need origins movie greyskull tho.
>>11844847Seconding Core. I really like the new scale and slimmer bodies. I really hope we get Core movie Fisto before the movie line wraps up.
Target had Chronicles Battle Cat down to $21.99, so now he's my second Chronicles figure.
>>11844829Okay, most of the loose don't include Orko but plenty do, so I just need to find someone selling with something else I want so I'm not just buying something for $10-11 and then paying another $10 just to ship it - by itself - home.Thanks!>>11844542Hadn't thought of that!
>>11844872I really don't get why this is so difficult for certain types of people to grasp. We're almost a decade into the post-theater world at this point, and the fact that joe dirt 2 of all things could happen thanks to streaming ought to tell anyone that the old model is dead.
>>11844899Large portions of the populous got their frame of reference and grasp of the zeitgeist scrambled by the covid lockdowns. The last decade's been a strange borderline purgatorial wait for meaningful change. That wait has been so drawn out that most people think it's still the status quos of the mid 2000's or even the earrly 2010's are somehow still in effect when they havent been in nearly 13 years. It's a real fish in water situation.
>>11844919What you're saying also applies to much of old hollywood as well, which is why spileberg is so confused about Close Encounters 2 bombing. Its like that one interview where trump told Tucker Carlson that he needs to be on a tv network if he wants to be relevant, totally failing to understand that Tucker's videos alone get more views in a day than all of fox news does in a week.
>>11844899>thanks to streaming>>11844919>>11844926New to this party, but I will offer that box office still matters to some people. If you think Travis Knight wasn't literally sad and didn't feel emotional hurt feelings, then you have never spent 10 minutes in a room with any Hollywood creative types (from directors or screen writers, to the fucking lighting gaffers and PAs).That said, y'all do have fair points - but don't take into account that someone still has to pay $100 - $200M for these movies.A perfect example is another Galitzine movie, The Sheep Detectives, even if he wouldn't even be considered a main co-star after Jackman, and Jackman was killed off early in that movie. A movie gets a theatrical release and gets a lot of promotion, it gets reviewed by major publications, it gets treated seriously. That doesn't necessarily happen with other Amazon streaming stuff, like say Reacher, even if Reacher is one of Prime's "biggest" successes. And that's another thing, a B movie like Speed, or even sequels like Matrix Revolution/Reloaded, which were considered unsuccessful, made millions of dollars and profit for Warner Brothers and it's partners from just the theatrical run, and made even more from cable and broadcast licensing fees, home media, and other physical actual ancillary rights sales, even merchandise like the tie-in comics and, yes, even fucking toys. Streaming HAS replaced that. But streaming isn't successful. The amount that movie studios were making before Netflix even existed as a video rental mail delivery system and what movie studios are making today, every single one of them, including Disney, with Lucas Films and Marvel, is FAR FAR less in real dollars, inflation adjusted dollars, and certainly and most definitely in actual profit.

>>11845052>Mad Max but as far as I know no one has done Mad Max toys unless they did back in the day. Maybe there miller doesnt like giving the license out for toys?N2 did via WB bacl in the early '00s, but if you mean with the original release of Road Warrior and Mad Max, they were Aussie films. Aussie films didn't get toys, just a US license for distribution to show the film in the States. Things like RoboCop, Rambo, and Toxic Avenger were based on toned down cartoons for children instead of R properties. Aliens for an unproduced cartoon series with Predator coming along because the license was via Dark Horse.

>>11845119You do realize that Netflix has money because they have debt. They don't have money because they have PROFITS?The money Disney had came from the amusement parks. The picked up tens of billions in debts from buying Fox which wiped out the few billions a year they made from successful movies. Disney+ only became profitable "recently" - I'm not going to waste a lot of time and energy getting you actual sources because you're an idiot who will just respond with another meme image, but for anyone else, it's concisely here:https://www.tikr.com/blog/disney-finally-turned-profitable-the-stock-hasnt-caught-up-yet$450M, yes, it's profit - FINALLY. But compared to what Disney and Buenavista made in say 2005 or even 2010, it's absurd to call it a "success." HBO Max is also finally "profitable" after 6 plus years. How's that turning out for them? And everything else, from Apple TV+, Paramount+, AMC, to Prime, isn't profitable, much less a success.

>>11845052>Mad Max but as far as I know no one has done Mad Max toys unless they did back in the day. Maybe there miller doesnt like giving the license out for toysThere was ONE Mad Max toyline in the 90's and literally nothing else for forty years. What does exist is largely unlicensed or legally distinct (Steel Monsters for example). My pet theory is Warner refuses to license Max out because they resent Gibson and Miller doesnt care one way or the other because he still makes the big bucks off residuals. At this rate it wouldnt surprise me to see Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter done in origins. I guess Funko already did as much years ago, but that wont stop matty from trying the same gimmick twice.
>>11844899If you ask me half of it is shitstirring and the other half is genuine discussion. Alot of people are going to be so baffled when theaters cease to exist in 5 years time. >>11844926Disclosure Day was such an unrestrained train wreck from beginning to end. I almost doubt it would have even sold in the 90's. The schaudenfraude of Spielberg's hubris backfiring as it has will be a landmark moment in hollywood history. Many already argue when hollywood really died, and my personal belief was 2018, but regardless of what year you choose to pin the blame on this past summer blockbuster season certainly cemented the total demise of boomer hollywood. It's a very different world now.>>11844939I dont doubt Knight's hurt feelings. Nobody sets out to make a failure. The movie had heart buried under the millenial humor and it still shines through despite that encumberment. The simple fact of the matter is the movie was an ad for Amazon Prime. Amazon prints money just by existing. Many have pointed out they operate at a loss, but so too does Netflix and it's many contemporaries. The modern economy is a mirage floated by conspiracies of conspiracies and dirty book keeping. We're long past fair play and common sense. That's why all of these entertainment entities are after international corporate sugar daddies to foot their expenses, hollywood's not been a functional business in decades!>Streaming HAS replaced that. But streaming isn't successfulPrecisely. Everybody rolled snake eyes on this bet and we're both better and worse off for it.
>>11845393Except both streaming exclusive MOTU shows failed despite both having merch & one marketed to "adults".
>>11845470Theater chains really shoved MOTU off screens pretty fast - and they did so for movies that didn't really do any better. At least for a while some AMC were taking the evening and nighttime slots for stuff like even Toy Story 5 but definitely for Minions and Moana and giving it to movies that weren't selling out matinees like Disclosure Day and MOTU, but far too many of the bookers are lazy and just shove one movie on to one screen at a location, for that week, and call it 'job done, time for my coffee break.'>>11845502I'm the one saying streaming isn't 'profitable.' You should reply >>11845119 to this guy whose essentially claiming streaming is a huge success. >>11848648But it wasn't about escapism at all, the movie is about Adam getting back to where he belongs, manning up, and reclaiming his birthright. Escapism implies a temporary withdrawal from reality when Eternia is Adam's real home and earth is the weird, ass-backwards shithole planet.

>>11848830
>>11848648Then you're an idiot. It's irony poisoned dialogue. Where nothing is allowed to have gravity & they have to constantly wink at the audience. Every Skeletor scene is like this. He's a silly villain with incompetent goons. That's fine. The movie should still treat him like a serious threat. Not make constant jokes at his expense while giving him a raspy filtered voice like he's supposed to be serious & scary at the same time. The movie doesn't know what tone to pick.
>>11848835Tourist you are trying way too hard, 0/10
>>11848835>The movie should still treat him like a serious threat. Why? Everyone knows and loves Skeletor for his goofiness. Trying to make him Thanos gave us Hamill's abominable Skeletor. Leaning into the camp gave us David Kaye Skeletor.
Nothing was really more than 10% off while Target had aisles of other stuff down to 30/50/70% off.
>>11848835You are talking to manchilds. I've had these arguements before on how it sucks when your villain is forced to be "whimsical" and how it must "suck to have no joy" because you don't find millennial cringe dialogue funny.Humor is fine when it's actually funny. A joke that is set up and the punchline is the payoff. Just watching characters ramble and say dumb ad libs isn't funny anymore. Maybe it was 15 years ago but that style has run its course. As had capeshit in general. The Motu movie should have aimed for a tone like Conan the Destroyer. (The 2nd one.) Full of fantasical stuff but wasn't smirking and undercutting itself. You don't have to lock your entertainment into either full grimdar, so adult themes, serious as a heart attack OR capeshit style quips and winking at the audience, undercutting everything.
>>11848835>Every Skeletor scene is like this. He's a silly villain with incompetent goons. That's fine. The movie should still treat him like a serious threat. This feels like such weird read to me. I thought Skeletor was plenty threatening, and funny as he was, that just led to his character coming across as morbid and genuinely dark at times with how whimsically he's portrayed despite all the fucked up shit he's shown doing throughout the film. It's what makes his declaration of "I'm... a villain" hit home so well, because despite all the the whimsy and humor, he's still genuinely evil. >>11848973Eh, even MOTU02 taking the series more seriously still kept a lot of the humor and goofy one-liners, and for me it's what separates MOTU from the typical dark fantasy work in the sword and sorcery genre. It's what allows the more genuinely goofy toy elements to actually work, because at the end of the day, a lot of its ideas are genuinely ridiculous when taken purely at face value. More than anything I feel like people conflating these things to "capeshit" and their hateboner for the MCU have genuinely lost the plot on how MOTU has grown and been popularized over the years. It's like walking into something while asking for a different thing entirely and getting upset about it.>You are talking to manchilds.I mean no offense and I don't know what arguments you've had before, but this just comes across to me like some edgy teenager trying too hard to seem "adult" when we're talking about a property that's rooted in gimmicky toys. I mean fuck, I'm glad that MOTU has managed to retain and work with that part of its identity all this time instead of just being bootleg Conan.
>>11848989>This feels like such weird read to me. I thought Skeletor was plenty threatening, and funny as he was, that just led to his character coming across as morbid and genuinely dark at times with how whimsically he's portrayed despite all the fucked up shit he's shown doing throughout the film. It's what makes his declaration of "I'm... a villain" hit home so well, because despite all the the whimsy and humor, he's still genuinely evil.I think there's an important distinction to be made in terms of the comical elements, and this is a good example of the "right" kind of comedy; Skeletor's goofy, but never in a way that undermines him as a character. It's the jokes that happen at the expense of the premise itself that undermine the movie, like all the dumb jokes about fisting simply because one of the characters is named Fisto. If the audience wants to make that joke themselves, they are free to, but the movie shouldn't do it for them. God forbid they might actually just want to gloss over it and enjoy the whole thing sincerely. I hate when modern writing insists on having the movies make fun of themselves, like they're embarrassed about the whole thing, so they have to be all tongue in cheek and wink at the audience and constantly remind them that what they're watching is a little bit silly, instead of having a modicum of respect for both itself and the audience. It's kind of like how you should never mention a better movie in your shitty one; it'll just make the audience ask themselves why they aren't watching THAT movie instead.
>>11848989There have been more anons than not telling you their main problem with the movie is the humor. You liked it and that's great for you. But you can't stop hand waving away that it seems like the consensus is that it hurt the movie more than helped. Maybe other iterations of Moti have nailed the balance better. This is 4chan so I dont expect anyone to believe me but my personal MoTu hang up is the general lack of slavery. Compared to what media I had access to as a kid. We had>Golden Books (no slavery there)> assorted minicomics, the one with Lodar particularly>two VHS tapes with 2 filmation episodes on each. One was about an African Queen who ran a Thunderdome-esque arena with citizens as slaves to her whims. Another tape had this one about a dandy looking fag who captured weird humanoids on Eternia to in his flying circus ship>Secret of the Sword VHS - the Horde is enslaving the population and sucking up their loosh. All that stuff had a theme of slavery or at least human bondage. I thought it was like a theme of the series. Now that I've been exposed to more of the media its clearly not a concern.
>>11848995That's fair. I do think most of the humor landed for me, but I can let pass even some of the dumb humor due to the tone of Adam's character framing the whole story with his nostalgia over his childhood. And honestly for me, Adam's journey from ridicule to acceptance feels like an appropriate reflection of what I feel a lot of MOTU fans have gone through when taken outside of our little bubble. It's what makes me look at his journey more fondly than if it was just played straight like a typical fantasy story.

But since that was a score at a Walmart in a county north of me, and I still haven't seen that camo variant in hand at a Target, I guess I'm stuck waiting for some on-line sales. That harness is removable, carefully, I've done it once - yes, I did rip it carefully apart at one of the back pieces where it "pegs" into those two back hole groves (that are glued together). It does not look torn or damaged, but when I replace it, it likely will be a permanent choice. That front piece wasn't glued ONTO the body, however, like this second one, the chest on that first buck has no glue residue, he's just bare chested RN. Since it's definitely glued, you're right, I likely should just just leave him alone and harvest the legs.>>11849694Thanks. I think I was trying for too short a duration of not hot enough water. Toyshiz just posted a review of GB Skeletor and we finally got a look at its leg articulation. Why is the Fright Zone playset like a forest bandit lair while the show Fright Zone is some evil tech city?
>>11851218In real life the playset was designed by people who had no involvement with shera or the filmation show. In (some) lore it's the horde base/staging ground on Eternia, with all the tech left on Etheria.
Brother surprised me with the Sketch Man-E-Faces, apparently it was 6 bucks. I'm more into 200x but this is such a nice toy. The poncho thing is pretty dumb but it has articulation up the ass and great faces
>>11851218It's kinda both. It's like fallen Rome around the edges of the mountain area where the FZ playset and Slime Pit are while at the top is the evil tech city.Also...>>11851243>In real life the playset was designed by people who had no involvement with shera or the filmation show.>>11851244Sketch-E-Faces is great. So was Sketch He-man
>>11851097 Brock with his knife vrs He Man and Sword of Power. who wins? or Red Death vrs Horde.
So when is some bastard version of Stretch Armstrong and He Man coming out? Also started watching the movie and Randor is a bit of a "Might Makes Right" Leader rather than a kindly and wise one. Also I don't know yet what the healing tech of this place but Man at Arms announced he wants bruises and lost teeth. which he will get using no head protection and padded quarterstaves. "Hey Monoculon the Elder. How did you get that single laser eye?" Well, 65 years ago during my first day of arms training some motherfucker poked my eye out so they used super science to "heal" me. - better than that terrible masturbation accident my friend Fisto had."
>>11851305 Okay. it would have been fucking hilarious if he had thrust upwards reflexively and committed regicide.
>>11851191Someone give this baby some titty milk already

Anyone else really enjoying the new cartoon?
is origins king his in his alt body (snake arms) still as tall as a normal origins figure or taller? Also can I stack multiple snake upper bodies?
>>11851523Nah the King Hiss torso has the same socket configuration as every standard torso.
>>11851515Tiffany Smith is
>>11851499why are you in a motu thread if you don't have any motu toys?
>>11851515It's fine
>>11851623It's not Revelation and it didn't flop terribly. Being fine makes it most successful MOTU adaptation in ages.
>>11851515All the VA is ass, even for a kid's show. Are they using AI for them?
Which Teela should I get if I already have the cartoon one that comes with that small robot? Green snake, snake hood or 200x? All origins obviously.
>>11851720200X. There's also a movie one later this year
>>11851515So far so good, its exactly what I expected out of a kid's youtube show and its doing what its supposed to. I will say that Teela's head is a little too round though.
>>11851551She was robbed of a role in the movie. Also>breast milk anon was her husband all along
>>11851563Why are you trolling a MOTU thread when you're a loser troll?

God loves sales.>>11852074Anon, please stick to the topic of the thread.
>>11852076Which you haven't done
>>11851515Best MOTU cartoon of the decade imo. I've been enjoying it more than even the CGI series. If it were a little more fleshed out I could almost see it being the Transformers Animated equivalent of a MOTU series.
>>11852094that's... High praise. I'll reserve judgment for when it's all out, I doubt it'll have any real continuity but I did love the Faker episode.
>>11852117The best way I can describe it is a cross of TFA and Filmation MOTU. It's cheesy, light hearted, a little tongue in cheek, but when He-man shows up shit gets done. It's very episodic however so dont expect arks or anything. I'll also argue it's given us the cutest Teela since 200X.
>>11852151What it means TFA?
>>11852264The Force Awakens. A horrible movie that killed Star Wars for good.
>>11852081He posted a picture of motu figures he purchased, that's on-topic.
>>11852264I thought it meant Transformers Animated
>>11852329Liar
>>11852356Are you claiming this is not a motu figure?
>>11852094I dislike the 5-minute format, but I'm willing to like it if they give more episodes to characters as underused as Faker.5 minutes dedicated to an insecure Clamp Champ would be fun.
I hate FAKERS!
Why cant the jannies ban this faggot? It's an obvious samefag and these posts are a third of the thread.
>>11852362I agree! Some of the directions they've taken with these characters is pretty fresh too. A heroic Faker feels like a big deal. It'd be nice to see more from "lesser" characters like Man-E-Faces or Webstor.
>>11852264>>11852339Yeah it means Transformers Animated
"Your evil plans will be UDDERLY defeated, Skeletaur!" That's what YOU think, He-man! Nyeh-heh-heh-MOOOOO!"
>>11852362>>11852504Roboto's appearance really gives me hope we'll keep getting more characters beyond the main cast.Wonder if everyone will get Character Introduction short. Curretly there are 3 videoes hidden in playlist so maybe they'll just do Orko, Trap Jaw and Beast Man?
>>11852534kek>>11852539We already sort of got an Orko episode. If they're smart they'll open the door to the rest of the cast. Roboto was a sight for sore eyes but I wonder if any kids will be taken aback by the disparity between the movie version and this one.
>>11852506Force Awakens sucks
>>11852506So the series is called Trans Formers Animated? that's weird...
>>11852800 Trans Farmers?
I know we haven’t reached image limit but someone really needs to go ahead and make a sdcc edition for tomorrow
>>11852909I'm gonna have to secure my preorder early, already sad that I missed out on the small mondo restock yesterday
Work in progress for a Origins Gym Bro. The hoodie will work, but the shorts are too small to slip on without some boil n pop in the legs. Might order different set of shorts/pants to modify before the Movie Origins Skeletor is out.

>>11853131Cool!
I think I will buy King hiss. Seems wrong to not get the king when I fucking love Snake men.
>>11853334Here's a nifty trick anon. Shake the king hiss box around to knock the alt head and chest armor off the tray so they're rattling around in the box. Place the box out in front of everything and when they redo the shelves they'll likely reduce the price thinking someone stole pieces from it. Happens a lot in that store as I've noticed. I've gotten three Hiss at 8.99 at DDs this way. The accessories fell off due to being shuffled around for months though. Boxes were bent and beat to shit but everything was still in there.
At sdcc so can’t bake. Trust me make new thread now.
>>11853361For $4? Are you that hard up?
