Got the BFS Conan off of Walmart with free shipping. In case someone wants to see how the waist joint is connected here you go. Gauntlets are sculpted on the wrists. Skin tone looks way better in hand than the photos BFS used. Just needs a bone necklace or something to break up the massive bare chest for a better look. The necklace from the Frazetta Girls' Conan looks great on him. The waist belt with loop for the sword can be removed.

A Masterverse Revelations Faker just arrived in the mail yesterday from a low-ball offer ($11 for just his part of the bill) with combined shipping.
Got the Revelations Savage He-Man loose, from a different auction lot sale two weeks with the Revelations He-Man (NIB) himself on a different offer.
While shipping hasn't been free, it's been totally reasonable, with combined shipping (that amount for Faker includes his shipping and taxes, for example) for other things I have wanted or needed, and everything - so far - works out to below current prices on BBTS or Amazon.
Are the 3 weapons and really the two extra hands (plus Orko) worth trying to score the boxed Deluxe Savage He-Man -- or at least complete contents (I don't display or collect boxes) ?
Trying to figure out if I need more of these, like the Viking, or go for more New Eternia (found She-Ra New Etheria at a Ross for $12.99).

New to this party, but I will offer that box office still matters to some people. If you think Travis Knight wasn't literally sad and didn't feel emotional hurt feelings, then you have never spent 10 minutes in a room with any Hollywood creative types (from directors or screen writers, to the fucking lighting gaffers and PAs).

That said, y'all do have fair points - but don't take into account that someone still has to pay $100 - $200M for these movies.

A perfect example is another Galitzine movie, The Sheep Detectives, even if he wouldn't even be considered a main co-star after Jackman, and Jackman was killed off early in that movie. A movie gets a theatrical release and gets a lot of promotion, it gets reviewed by major publications, it gets treated seriously. That doesn't necessarily happen with other Amazon streaming stuff, like say Reacher, even if Reacher is one of Prime's "biggest" successes.

And that's another thing, a B movie like Speed, or even sequels like Matrix Revolution/Reloaded, which were considered unsuccessful, made millions of dollars and profit for Warner Brothers and it's partners from just the theatrical run, and made even more from cable and broadcast licensing fees, home media, and other physical actual ancillary rights sales, even merchandise like the tie-in comics and, yes, even fucking toys.

Streaming HAS replaced that. But streaming isn't successful. The amount that movie studios were making before Netflix even existed as a video rental mail delivery system and what movie studios are making today, every single one of them, including Disney, with Lucas Films and Marvel, is FAR FAR less in real dollars, inflation adjusted dollars, and certainly and most definitely in actual profit.

N2 did via WB bacl in the early '00s, but if you mean with the original release of Road Warrior and Mad Max, they were Aussie films. Aussie films didn't get toys, just a US license for distribution to show the film in the States. Things like RoboCop, Rambo, and Toxic Avenger were based on toned down cartoons for children instead of R properties. Aliens for an unproduced cartoon series with Predator coming along because the license was via Dark Horse.

Killing off Randor and major villains also show they had no faith in a franchise and only thought this as a one and done so no effort at all in fleshing out characters or world building. Visuals were great, writings was ass. Hollywood once again hired people to work on a project that had no clue about the lore and just wanted to put their own spin on it based on a chatgpt summary.

I thought the movie was pretty good. I could have gone without the lame humor. But overall it wasn't bad at all. Especially compared to a lot of terrible nostalgia bait.

i love the movie. it's not scorsese, but it is what it is. it embraces the fact that it's based on a hunk of plastic. it was silly and lighthearted, and violent and action filled, and it didn't go out of it's way to insult me.
all in all it felt like a beautiful love letter to what the creator's of the mythos were setting out to accomplish.

I've only seen bits and pieces of the original movie and I enjoy stuff that came out in that era to both make fun but also just to enjoy for what it is. I've actually seen the Flash Gordon that way, and twice in fucking theaters on a Fathom re-release where we even paid for the fucking 4DX at Regal, and once at a pre-covid theater that showed old films for $5.
I've only ever seen any cartoons since this movie was announced and only a tiny bit and only on YouTube.
Was this some great movie? NAH.
Was it entertaining? SURE.
Did I enjoy myself? YEP.
Did we pay $26 for the Cinemax ScreenX? YES
And we thought it was worth it, even the people in our group who don't collect toys or watch genre, including the two girls who were on this 'group date' along for the ride.

tl;dr - it's just a fucking movie, son.
there are better and more important things to be angry or disappointed about in the world just in the past two months.

Target right? I've got two in my area and the clearances aren't universal one had that Superman movie 4 pack for 70% off and the other had full price on it. The one by my work had the Roton for 25% off and those Netflix One Piece figures 70% off so I got them.
