Behold, optic blasts.
>>11843852 (You)He's finished>>11843860Sorry for the late reply: the paint is Amsterdam Expert Acrylic Cadmium Red Medium and for now it holds up well, I also sealed the fig too after the paint which should protect it a bit more>>11843989Not for the veins no, those are just thick painted strokes
>>11846499Earth X was weird. Not bad though.
>>11846500Thx, for the record I decided to make it on a male body because that's how he was in the PS1 Enter Electro game
>>11846499Looks nice anon, good job
>>11846494Punch lasers from the punch dimension.
>>11846494If you wear this and use the optic blasts do you scream and cry like cyclops does?
>>11846598You get an urge to say, "Optic Blast, Optic Blast, Optic Blast, Gene Splice, yes!"
>>11846606A man of taste, I see
I need an animated Punisher and Microchip 2-pack
>>11846461I own 29 Legends. I plan to pick up a few more X-men and get rid of a few MCU ones, so probably not going to end up much under or over 30.
>>11846467I'm generally not a fan of Marvel Legends, so most of them I just picked up for parts. If the body I have coming doesn't work out I'll probably just put my Weapon X on display as-is, lol.Let me see..Retro card Weapon X, Professor X and She-HulkHuge Jackedman Wolverine (leather jacket edition)Captain Carter (What If?/Watcher BAF)Everett RossBlack Cat (Sirens series)Got some Spider-Gwen somewhere, too, lol.
>>11846461I've been collecting the line for close to fifteen years now, and I have probably around 200 or so figs. Maybe about a third of them are MCU figs I bought years ago that while I still kinda like some of them, I kinda think I wanna get rid of a good portion. I dunno. I used to love the MCU back in the day but since Endgame, it just hasn't done it for me. The rest are all comic figure, I'm a huge comic nerd and have always liked Marvel more than DC so I've been working on building a pretty comprehensive Marvel Universe. I don't buy everything though. While, I have a cosmic Marvel shelf, it is nothing compared to my Avengers, X-Men and Spider Man collections. I have the big Spider Man collection that has been posted here with the signed ASM #1. But then I have both various eras of Avengers and X-Men too. While I definitely prefer the X-Men, and have repreststions throughout there entire history, except for a good First Class lineup. Hasbro needs to redo that God awful TRU multipack. I don't have as comprehensive of a collection of Avengers, just a classic 70s era lineup and then more modern versions. I do have a pretty nice Hall of Armor lineup though since I do like Iron Man. And then I have a nice lineup of villains for the Avengers, X-Men and Spidey. I don't display all of them at once. Mainly I keep what I consider a classic lineup constantly on display where I then rotate out other displays with different teams. Right now I have the New Avengers, Astonishing X-Men and Dark Avengers on display due to certain figures like Max Thor, Dark Hawkeye and the Colossus/Kitty 2 pack coming out. ML is the main line I collect, and I've been doing it for almost a decade and a half. So I have a lot of figs. I really do need to offload some old ones that have since been upgraded. Though, j tend to yank parts from those older figures for random shit.
>>11846661God. Look at those moobs. You don't see a man like that anymore. MMN.
>>11846485I thought you guys said Mafex Punisher was going to look bad. This doesn't look bad to me.
I posted that Black Widow last thread because I thought I sold her in a lot. Nope I luckily still own her sealed.
>>11846748That’s a weight off my shoulders. I’ll be able to sleep easy now anon.
>>11846598>>11846606>>11846637Based. I find it also hits you with the compulsion to fall to your knees screaming 'JEAN!' and to constantly remind everyone that the visor is made from ruby quartz (the only thing that can contain the awesome power of your optic blasts).
>>11845490>>11845524So which bucks were used for those? I saw the discussion about the heads and I recognize the Reed head as well. Or is that what that Retro carded Reed looks like without the white hands and lab coat? But where's the Johnny buck from?
>>11846947NTA but those are the Walgreens F4 with a couple of swapped heads. Reed and Ben are using the heads that came with the figures and Sue and Johnny are using other heads. They're the same molds as the retro set. Just different paint and for Sue and Ben, different heads. The Reed heads are the same. The Johnny is just spare Reed body using a different head. I do the same thing. I have a spare Reed body in both Walgreens and retro and use the head that came with retro carded Scarlet Spider as my inflamed Johnny.
>>11846911Remember to use in moderation, as prolonged wearing will have you cursing your mutant, energy-blasting eyes.
>>11846499Nice paint job
Do you guys notice how pleasant the thread is when the anti Hasbro retard isn't constantly screeching at people to stop buying the toys he doesn't like? It's nice.
>>11846911Kek.
This week's episode of 97 was right up there with the X-Force episode as best of the season for me. Don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but I hope we get some cool ass toys out of it.
>>11847085I did NOT see that coming lmao. Nice to finally see them in the TAS universe. And it does have me wanting a certain 2 pack now, I already kinda wanted it for one fig, but now this episode got me interested in the other one too.
>>11847085I thought Wolverine's plan was completely retarded. I get why he did it but everything about how he went about doing it was dumb as hell.
HuhThis seems like a super easy custom to make, especially with all the horse skeleton toys out there now.
>>11846992Thanks but I thought the bodies in my picture were the Walgreen (Super Skrull wave) Fantastic Four with that Sue and Ben? The feet are different, that's why I asked? I bought these two as fodder, but the feet are unusual, to say the least. But thanks.
>>11847135Super Skrull wave was a different release a year or two after they did the Walgreens exclusives. That was a regular release wave. I don't have the Super Skrull wave F4 in their modern costumes, so I'm not sure what the differences are from the Walgreens versions, I just assumed they were repaints. Looking at the Reed and Johnny in your pic, the Reed seems to be the same buck as the Walgreens and Retro carded Reed, whereas Johnny is using the Sunfire buck from what I can tell. I do know they did an unflamed Johnny as a Pulse Exclusive in the retro card with the blue and white costume, but they never did one in classic Blue and Black from the Walgreens wave. That's why I use the spare Reed bodies for unflamed Johnny. It was cheaper than buying the Pulse exclusive, especially the retro carded ones when Reed was dirt cheap.
>>11846947Seems you've got someone already answering all the questions for you. Just wanted to confirm he is correct. Got a 2nd walgreens reed for Johnny. Body isnt perfect, but honestly I think both characters could do with something bulkier, like the magneto/captain marvel buck. Also yours are the skrull wave modern suits which have different shoes and deco and reed with a beard.I was using the retro card Reed head, but found it shiny and the eyes weren't as well painted so went back to using the walgreens one it came with.Sue is using retro hair with sharon carter shield 3pack head.
>>11847148Oh look another attention seeking post by Ben, this time he's using gifs.
>>11847153Oh look another (You) from my #1 Super fan on /toy/
>>11847153Got any new toys recently troll?
Ignore him. He's seeking attention himself by trying to bait you. He'll go away if you just don't engage.
I'm back, baby!>>11847090It's got me eyeing that same two pack haha. The show is working as a toy commercial for adults, because I didn't have a whole lot of interest in half of it until this ep, but now both figures seem justifiable.>>11847109Maverick and Kane would agree with you.
>>11847164Yeah I was eyeing it for the one fig, but the character that appeared in today's episode got me wanting both figs so I'll probably end up grabbing it sooner than later, it isn't even terribly priced. And yeah this fucking show is literally just a toy commercial where it makes me go "ooh, I'll buy this figure, and this one, and maybe this one". It's terrible for my wallet, I'm just grateful that I already had the main lineup of characters from this ep, though, I gotta dick Maverick out of whichever bin he's in now.
>>11847148Nice shelf. Who is that supposed to be in front of Ironman?
>>11847169Madame Masque custom using darkstar and quake parts. I was using the old arnim zola wave head, but I ordered the crossbones 2-pack which is due tomorrow so I can finally upgrade her. Will post pics when she's finished.
I'm surprised that MLs are quite big.
Went to mess with my CT brown suit Wolverine and his hips locked up. Just like a real Mafex! I hate that they do this, yes it's an easy fix, but I'm too lazy to dig my shock oil out of my cabinet.
>>11847223Big as in size, or big as in popularity?
>>11847227As in size. I was aware that a lot of people buy them but I was surprised how tall they are. I know Mcfarlanes are supposed to be the biggest normal toys and now that I've got a ML I really wonder how tall they really are.
>>11847236Most collector oriented lines have shifted gears to a 6ish inch scale. There are some outliers like NECA's stuff and McFarlane's, but for the most part collector lines, import or domestic, stick to around 6in. Some are a bit bigger like MLs being about 6.5in whereas other lines like Star Wars Black series are a true 1:12 scale.
>>11847236Legends have a range depending on the characters size. The recent female bodies are pretty much the same scale as modern imports like mafex. Some of the males however run a bit bigger, especially since hasbros new vulcan body, which replaced the old commonly used bucky cap is bigger. Then you have all the bigger characters like hulk and jugganaught who are intended to tower over others.Mcfarlane, neca and the late select line are all 7 inch, so the figures are even bigger.
>>11847225It's alright guys, you can stop worrying. I fixed it. Easy peasy. Now, I gotta find that fucking Maverick.
Luna did not sell out. She remains now at 60 dollars. Languishing on the Amazon shelves
>>11846768Glad to hear that. First thing I did when I woke up was look for her.
>>11847345Slept like a baby.
The Lizard never really did come back in stock for real.
>>11847332Ok. It's Rivals slop. Who cares?
>>11847377Rivals fans
>>11847449They genuinely don't count.
>>11847463Do MCU fans count?
>>11847466Moreso than Rivals fans
>>11847469Why do cartoon fans like X-Men 97 fans get pride of place with comic figure fans when it is also an adaption?
>>11847511Because while the storylines themselves are adaptations that take their own direction, the series is very much faithful to the source material in terms of character and theming despite the actual storylines divulging in places. The fact that you even need to ask shows you don't actually watch these movies or shows or read these comics. It's like you guys are bots that aren't even real people. Let alone someone who actually enjoys Marvel.
>>11847523Actually I watch the movies and the shows but don't usually read the comics except for a few.
>>11847148Thanks for the confirmation. So there's an older, earlier set of Walgreens but Johnny's body isn't as buff as the as the Skrull body and since I already paid for two of those, I might as well stick with this and keep using the museum putty to stick 'em on the shelf?I'm using a spare head of PIC REL (which I also own but just took possession of the box from an auction and haven't opened yet) on the Skrull body and it looks good. I just hate the feet. I also really like the way your boots look overall, so I might try to get that Reed body as a spare Reed although I still want a uniform with the white accents without being raped to get the retro lab coat body second hand (or even NIB) from an ebay flipper. I'm guessing that Walgreen's Reed figure/box must not come up often in listings or I am doing my searching wrong. >>11847140Thank you.Yeah, I finally broke down and bid and won for a reasonably price the Pulse exclusive. And yeah it sucks, I've read that Walgreen's might have old stock that hasn't been sent from the warehouse but the Walgreens near me really don't carry toys other than the 3 inch MCU tie-ins or the Spidey and Friends, and LEGO.I think the one old converted Bad Bath and Beyond store that still got closed last year when Walgreens was scaling down was the only one that sold proper action figures within like 10-15 miles near me. The next time I am on a business trip to the counties north of us, I should check Walgreens since I never do that, just stores that I know carry toys, like Walmart. And you can't order any action figures from the Walgreens website as far as I can see?
>>11847536Read a comic bud. At least the classic Claremont X-Men.
>>11847546I wouldn't bet too hard on the Walgreens figs being randomly stocked. They came out like eight years ago.
For some reason I feel an intense lust for this fridge body uggo, but in just this movie, and because the ML didn't even really look like her, I'm ready to jump into Mafex if their version looks goodHopefully they'll show it off at the end of the month

Wolverine...you look as terrible as I feel, 'comrade'.
>>11847236Marvel Legends is not a 7" or 1/10 line, but yeah, it is just a bit bigger than a true 1/12 scale like Black Series. If you then factor that many of its characters are canonically tall, the figures can get much bigger than 1/12 actors or Japanese schoolgirls.
>>11847682gears of war is very popular
>>11847647Most anons' moms here would be senior citizens, if they're even still alive. Yelena better be fitter than them at 30.
>>11847877Is it really though? Twenty years ago, certainly but we aren't in 2004 anymore.
>>11847169>>11847208Here you go. Feels crazy to buy a 2-pack for a head, but couldn't find it loose and the pack was on sale for $30. I can probably sell crossbones for that.My 60s shelf is complete for now, until skurge baf arrived.
I'm pretty sure most of these are (Green) Hulk, (red brick) Thing or (flesh) Jagurnaut hands, maybe a Sandman hand? No idea of the purple? Or the claws? Some help, please? And if I don't have the bodies or plan to get them, probably best to dump in a fodder lot to unload?Or will the they peg on a normal ML buck to make an absurd photo? Like say these green hands on the What If Gamora?

>>11847898the claws are from Mojo
He can do it guys but the bow sucks.
>>11847934how many fucking years is it going to take them to make a new quiver
>>11847934he can do everything that the sky cycle hawkeye can do, which is not much
>>11847943but we were talking about him being able to get into a archer pose last thread and one guy said he will not be able to. But he can, just the bow preventing it from looking good. He also seems to be great figure (for hasbro)
>>11847949sure, but I'm saying if you're curious what poses he can dohe can do whatever the last hawkeye can
>>11847934Noice, I get him today, will take pics. >>11847949As excited for the figs as I am, it's just one of their standard bucks. It was obvious that he could pull off the bow pose, the guy from last thread is just one of those guys that has to poo poo on everything because a Hasbro employee had passionate sex with his mom once or something.
>>11847951I don't think they're allowed to reuse parts across IPs that they don't own. For stuff like GI Joe and Transformers it doesn't matter since Hasbro outright owns them, but for stuff they license, they can't mix and match. It's why they don't just reuse the guns from GI Joe that have removable magazines and detachable suppressors on Marvel Legends and use guns that are molded as a singular piece without cool features.
>>11846499Based earth x enjoyer
>>11847929Ah thanks. I've seen photos of that guy so many times, so I know he's huge, but only pictures.>>11847919Thank you!
>>11847963>it's just one of their standard bucks. Is it really? It seems to be miles above the average Legend figure. Even if you only look at torso articulation.
>>11848069Just watched a review of it, and actually the torso appears new. It has a balljointed neck and the butterfly shoulders seem to be deep enough to get a good bow draw. I'll have to grab my riders Hawkeye off the shelf to compare, but it seems the new one is indeed better. Wuddya know?
>>11848069once again, range of movement will not be significantly different from the last hawkeye they didit's got torso ball joint instead of an ab crunch, but that's it
>>11848103It's also got a separate neck piece, which actually helps for the bow shooting pose.

He's surprisingly good for such a random release imo. The torso is all new and holy shit it can hit the archer pose better than other Legends, I need to pull Clint off the sky cycle to see how he compares to Bullseye
>>11848389>I am the Iron Patriot, and I will lead these new Avengers into battle against anyone who would threaten our way of life. My name is Norman Osborn, and I approve these Avengers!

>>11848393man they need to do a new aresI have that one and I don't even feel like taking him out of whichever box he's in
The two different Punisher's were also on pegs
>>11848414Yeah he's pretty rough. It was kind of out of date the first go around when it was a BaF, let alone when it was reissued in the Thor Ragnarok wave. We really need a new one. He at least stand in well enough until they eventually redo him.
>>11848389>https://youtu.be/YR1HPzaEqZk?si=AyYpiY22QrV4Tug1&t=1083maybe this is a idea for you.
>>11848438I don't understand. An idea for what?
>>11848447For you to cut your figure so posing the arrow gets easier.
When will we get another tiger stripe wolverine that's not movie related?
>>11848454Ah, I saw that earlier. Yeah, I don't really have much issue having him hold the arrow, he grips it well enough. I may eventually do that, but I don't see a need for it just yet. Here's Sky Cycle Clint, he can also pull off the archer pose well enough imo but Bullseye's deeper butterfly joints, ball torso, and separate neck piece go a long way into just making the figure hit the pose better. Clint looks pretty stiff and awkward compared to Bullseye.
ALL of the marvel rivals figures are back up for preorder on bbts
>>11848468thanks, got all 4
I can see Brood Wolverine price skyrocketing after that episode--Not a chance
>>11848455We did just get the Xmen 97 one not too long ago. Honestly though, Wolverine is basically the X-Men's Spiderman so I can't imagine it'll be that long until another one rolls around, but it's not like the previous ones are in dire need of updating at least.
>>11848570We've still got people hallucinating that the single jointed Jumbo Wolverine is better than double jointed. I wonder when the next release to surpass Jumbo will come out
my onslaught comes monday
>>11848563If already has lol. It went up four bucks from yesterday on Amazon.
>>11848580>my onslaught comes mondayHe is coming. ONSLAUGHT is coming!
For those of you that read X-Men during the 90s was Onslaught as universally reviled as the legends say or is that overblown?
>>11848634The Onslaught saga came riding in right after Fatal Attractions which was one of the biggest comic events at the time so the hype was huge. There was a big push in marketing for the character and they did whole print ads, a series of promotional Overpower CCG cards inserted into the comics, trading cards, a whole toyline, inserted him into Marvel Vs. Capcom, etc. The storyline was great because of the slow-burn reveal and the tension of what a powerful mutant like him would do that would change the entire Marvel Universe, but then the story started to fall apart after the reveal and lead to one of the most reviled storylines in Marvel History: Heroes Reborn. This crushed nearly any good faith the previous two events provided and soured comic fans on Marvel for a good while until their Ultimate Universe comics debuted and started to gain traction with the fans.
>>11848580My onslaught approaches as well. Just had Taco Bell.
>>11848389Now I'm tempted. I liked Dark Reign a lot (and it's kind of the last time I remember Marvel feeling like Marvel), but don't really want to commit to picking up the rest of the Dark Avengers. I am a huge Bullseyefag though, so I guess I could justify getting him for the DD collection.>>11848393Bob, throw my wallet into the sun so I can't spend any more money on toys this month.>>11848580Mine too. Can't believe I'm this hype for Onslaught of all characters, but I've always loved the design.
>>11848817I don't remember the comic run but I always thought the design was awesome. I grew up on rob liefeld so I like 90's edgy.
>>11848818Me neither. I didn't really start reading comics until the mid 2000s (with House of M of all books). I do have a weird second hand nostalgia for the character though, because I remember surreptitiously wiki pages for various as characters to fill in the gaps of my knowledge and Onslaught, along with boneclaw Wolverine, provoked a very strong 'wait, this was a thing?' reaction in me. The concept and design are still cool too, even if he got used and excuse to do a bunch of stupid shit to the Marvel universe later on.
which character do you own the most versions of? And why did you let it come to this?
>>11848846wolverine. I have like 3
>>11848846My collection isn't nearly as big as some of the others in this thread, but Wolverine. And I let it come to this because growing up with XTAS made me a lifelong Loganfag (though 'adulthood' has made me realize that Scott also rules).
>>11848854Bernthal's gorilla grunting would actually be appropriate for this Punisher.
>>11848649>soured comic fans on Marvel for a good whileNah, onslaught had nothing to do with that.Heroes Reborn kinda fucked things up for some fans, but not really, because Captain America, Avengers, Iron Man, and Thor were in the slumps already. Mark Waid was turning things around for Captain America critically, but sales were still too low for it. So even the Heroes Reborn shit wasn't actually bad.The Onslaught event itself sold pretty well, but everything after that was kinda shit, because of Marvel's bankrupcy and the new EiC (Bob Harras). So stories weren't as good anymore, mainly by trying too many dumb things to try and make things more popular. Too much forgetable shit, but there were some highpoints anyway (Marvel Knights, Busiek Avengers, etc).IF anything soured fans on cross overs and events, it was the Clone Saga, but it didn't kill them either.
>>11848846One day I'll take a picture of all of them. I allow character-centric collections for my absolute favorites. My biggest are Venom, Skeletor, and Mumm-Ra. I don't really but multiple versions of the same character otherwise, I try to go with definitive versions on those.

Considering adding Brood Wolverine to the collection after this week's episode of 97.>>11848894Season one of 97 is actually what turned me around Scott. I never disliked the character or anything, but I grew up in the 90s and Wolverine was pushed super hard in TAS and basically every piece of media featuring the X-Men for a long time after, so he was always the star of the show for me (though I did start to realize how ridiculous it was getting around the time Wolverine and the X-Men started airing). But 97's take on Cyclops really humanized the character for me. They kept him the same old boy scout, but not the same old stick in the mud. Letting him loosen up a little with moments like telling Cable to give em' hell and his 'we're nothing like you people' outburst really made me start to like the guy in a way I never had before. Then I went back and started reading the Claremont comics from the beginning and realized he's just kind of like that when being written well. Stuff like insulting and beating the shit out of Logan to snap him out of his PTSD during the Proteus arc because he knows it's the only thing he'll respond to (which sure as hell didn't make it into the TAS adaptation of that arc) really goes a long way to make you respect the guy's leadership skills. I also love that he got really good at geometry because of his power and is a secret pool shark because of it. Just a lot of stuff like that in recent years elevating him from the guy with a single brain cell devoted only to Jean in my eyes.
>>11848906Which brown suit is that?

>>11848846>>11848852Lol, yup, though I was a Loganfag before TAS. Even then, I only have 4, 5 counting the "Maf" bootleg version of Mafex tigerstripe I got to mess around with shortening the claws and doing black stripes on. I may end up with an SHF Gamerverse one, too.

>>11848634It's funny, I was talking to someone who was reading at the time about this after the ML re-release was announced. The way he put it, it was a really hyped-up event that seemed really promising and exciting, but the writing itself kinda went off the rails and the ending didn't or couldn't really deliver on the full promise. And that Onslaught wasn't BAD, but it was such a notable and big event, he figured that a lot of the 90's readers who were already kind of feeling the magic fade away for various other reasons at the time, might not have really known where to really point a finger at what made them start to lose interest. But Onslaught was such a big deal that it probably got a big share of the blame, whether deserved or not."Universally reviled" is definitely hyperbole, but it does sound like Onslaught ended up a slightly sloppy letdown, when a lot of readers were coming out of their honeymoon period with comics in the 90's in general and so it got associated with that.
>>11849024People conflate the hatred for Heroes Reborn with what led up to it. Onslaught wasn't awful, like you said, the lead up to his reveal was pretty much universally praised. It's just once the reveal happened the story devolved into a big dumb slugfest and it just felt underwhelming compared to the hype. And then it led to Heroes Reborn which is fucking terrible and shouldn't ever be acknowledged ever.
>>11848846Wolverine by a country mile. Admittedly it's not because he's my favorite character or anything, but it might be more because he has a lot of actually good outfits that come out consistently, and also came in multipacks with other characters I wanted. Somehow, I just ended up covered in Wolverines!Frankly there's probably a few I could stand to let go now that you mention it.
>>11848846Spider-Man, no question. I'm the guy with the huge Spidey display and the signed ASM#1. He's my favorite character in all of fiction. I should still even have my old childhood figures of him. My mom gave me all my old toys I had as a kid when I bought my house. I should really go through them one of these days. They're just in tubs in my garage now.
>>11848909It's decent and the Storm it comes with is pretty good too. Though like many female MLs, she really struggles to stand up on her own.

>>11849082I am definitely kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on Wednesday when it was still $43. But, the way I look at it, if $4 is enough to stop me from buying it, I probably didn't really want it anyway.
>>11849082you had me worried I somehow missed a brood figure and not just the infected wolverine
>>11849085If it makes you feel any better, I got an offer from an eBay seller earlier tonight for a flat 40, but it was gone by the time I finally decided I wanted it.>>11849087I'm hoping we'll eventually get some Brood figures I can display him with to justify picking him up in the long run.
>>11849082Grabbed a set last year from ROSS for $13. The only 2 pack I missed were the Destiny and the Armored Psylocke ones. It was nuts getting the Hulkbuster for $10. Speaking of retired figures. Can any overseas anons verify if these are hitting stores again. Probably around Hong Kong and SEA countries. I have them all, but I want another to open and play with.

>>11849275I mean a figure with no waist articulation in 2026 is incredibly pathetic.
>>11849328It's to accommodate a gimmick.
For anyone curious, the old Bullseye unmasked head does not fit on the new Dark Hawkeye peg. It can kinda sit on the top but the head sits too high then. A shame. But, at the same time, it is just dumbell peg so you could theoretically swap it out rather easily to one that would fit the old head better.
Yes Todd now has 7 inch posable marvel figures. You’re better off with ZD toys

>>118494111. No2. Yes
>>11849341The “gimmick” could have easily been accomplished with a ball waist with articulation. Do you even collect toys or just shill for hasblo?

Do you guys make sure to read the comic of a character or certain design before you buy the figure or do you buy whatever you like, even without knowing the story?
>>11849779I just buy whatever looks cool. Bonus points if it has decent accessories. I own that SHIELD 3-pack despite never having read a story with Sharon Carter or Dum Dum.
>>11849779In most cases yes, or if it's not a comic, some notable media that shows off said character's vibe/personality in a way that I don't mind. I wouldn't want to later find out that I wasted money on a character I'd actively dislike.
>>11849753I'm pretty happy with it. Don't project on to me there baby cakes.
>>11849779And the nightly random fucking question. Post your toys or something instead of asking these random questions. Pretty soon you'll be asking what I had for lunch or something.
>>11849779>read comic before you buy >or buy whatever you likeFFS
>>11849686No waist articulation, is the big one, I belive.
>>11849686He needs to keep his gimmick of being a whiney, nitpicking retard going so he gave this a low score, despite actually apparently liking most of the figure if you watch the actual review. He does the shitty scoring system because he reposts them in places like here in order to promote his brand. >>11849903I get why the did it the way they did though. If the cloth piece just sat around a ball joint, it would easily shift around and get out of place. With the system they did for the figure, the cloth piece is held in place and can't really shift around. It's just kind of a an annoying compromise that needed to be made for the fabric loin cloth to allow him to sit on the throne. As someone who owns the figure, I don't see this to be that big of a deal, honestly the $40 chair tax was more egregious in my eyes than the waist not swiveling.
>>11849779Yes. Always. I just ordered the gladiator deathbird 2-pack as have reached October 1977 in my reading order. Deathbird will remain in storage incase I ever reach 1990.
>>11849911I'll never understand doing s complete read through like this when s good portion for Marvel comics are outright bad. Like are you going to read the Crossing, or Heroes Reborn if you ever get that far? How are you even doing it now that RCO is dead?
>>11849913Im still really enjoying it. There is a lot of continuity starting from the begginging. For example we just has moculeman reappear with a reference to a previous appearance 5 years prior involving man-thing which made me smile because I remembered it. Some of the runs like howard the duck, godzilla and machine man, etc I'm kinda glossing, but still going through every page.I don't intend to read much beyond the bronze age as once the FF switch to neg suits, Tony gets the silver centurion armor, thor grows a beard and nighthawk and mar-vell die a lot of the magic will be gone.>How are you even doing it now that RCO is dead?It was shit, but I had to switch to batcave and update the 30 bookmarks I had.
Did I get gipped? All the marketing photos for this Widow show two fists and two spread hands, but mine came with one fist and one gripping hand.
>>11849982So they fucked up the promo renders for this wave. They also fucked up how many hands Rachel came with too. t some point between when the renders were ,sde and the final production run, they tweaked which hands you got with certain figures and were either stupid or lazy, probably both, and never updated the renders. On the original stream these were revealed at the in hand samples they had to show off had the hands they actually come with whole the renders were wrong. So no, you didn't get jipped, they just changed the first to a grip hand so she can hold the comic. It's dumb, I know. But Hasbro gunna Hasbro.

Does anyone have the Secret Wars Spiderman/symbiote figure? I kinda like the idea of it but I'm just not sold on it enough to buy it.
Anyone here try making a classic loki from the disney+ one?Ive cut off the cape and use a magic eraser to remove some of the "grime" they sprayed on the suit. Thinking of sanding the details on the diaper and abs, adding some chainmail decals and possibly changing the face as it looks like it can come off easy, but would need an alternative to slice in half and glue on in place.Any suggestions?
>>11850123There's a $20 one on ebay but if you don't want to spend that much you might have to just go to a fabric store
>>11850130? $20 what sorry? He doesn't need a new cape. It's really just what should do with the belt and whether you think I should remove the yellow paint from the thighs?Picrel is kinda what I want, and figured since this was only $5 I could make a cheap custom.
>>11850136Seems like way too much effort when there is an existing comic Loki that works just fine.
>>11850109>Is this new secret wars Dr Doom just a refreshed version of the Dr Doom and Captain Marvel two pack?Yep, it's the same figure just with different accessories
>>11850153Updated paint too
>>11850139I already have the comic one. It's just too big next to mafex thor. That's why i'm trying to make a custom one. Was hoping the maximum thor would be a new classic version, but it's not and I hated the 80th ML thor so much I sold it. The Mezco is also short, so here we are. They should be around the same hight, so the disney+ one is perfect.
>>11849994Thanks for the info. Sounds like typical Hasbro shenanigans. Though while I would have preferred two fists, I still really like the figure. Think this might be my favorite look for Nat too.
>>11850171I do like the head, but that neck is the death of all short haired girls.
>>11850171>>11850177I dremeled the head socket on mine a bit, helps a lot. Hands from the jacketed Walmart exclusive version are a good color match if you need two fists.
>>11850104He came in while I was out but lunch was quicker than expected so I got him. He's definitely old, and is kind of a brick, but he's still cool. Not regretting picking him up especially since I feel like we're getting Onslaught next season in X-Men 97 or even end of this season.
Added the ponytail.
Are the blast effects of ML Cyclops interchangeable with all other ML cyclops heads?
>no forward crunch at allbold choice for a $40 figure
>>11850229It depends on the effect, and on the head. Like, I know 97 Cyclops uses the same effect as Krakoa Cyclops but then X-Factor Cyke uses a different one than that, but the Claremont era Cyke from the 97 2 pack with Marvel Girl also uses that same effect as X-Factor. So it just depends on which ones you're trying to share.
>>11850234>no forward crunch>no butterfly joint>no ankle swivel >no toe joint>not even an extra pair of handsso, for $10-$15 extra, you're buying 2 hard plastic capes. he's not even that much bigger than a standard ML

>>11850380>hoping for alt handsnigga did you never look at pictures
>>11850419Right? Plus it's a reissue of an old BaF that never had alt hands in the first place. Not sure why the other guy would think it would have some.
>>11850380It's definitely the most EFFORT... re-release I've ever seen. I'm convinced the only reason it even has a different paint app is because they didn't have the old guidelines from the previous one and it just coincidentally ended up not being the same as before. This fucker desperately needed some kind of psionic special effect piece even more than extra hands, IMO.
>>11850434Anon, mostt of the reissued BaFs have come with newer and better paint jobs. Strong Guy has better paint apps on the deluxe than the BaFfir example.
>>11850444It was a joke about how almost completely fucking unchanged it is from it's previous release in general. It has slightly better-painted hands, but they also then skimped out on painting the stomach plate, etc, so it almost feels like more of a sidegrade paintjob.Bringing up Strong Guy definitely hammers home how disappointing the Onslaught re-release is, considering how Guido got new hands/heads accessories, too.
>>11850550I hope scalpers like you get rolled over by a truck.
>>11850550Honestly might be a coinflip on whether this one is going to shelfwarm, Target exclusives can be either wildly overtuned or undertuned in shipments, and most people with any interest in Onslaught could grab him for midrange BAF figure prices already. And this release is so much of the exact same fucking thing that I don't think people are in a rush to "upgrade".

I've just finished wolverine enemy of the state and damn I was scammed. I was sold on it by the premise that wolverine fights and kills a lot of heros but it doesn't happen. There was supposed to be a panel where he rams his claws through Sues feet which wasn't in there at all. He kills like one no name x-men in the whole comic.
