>>11852046I wish I could afford this..
>>11852046I still hate TransFURmers. Insects and Crustaceans should count only. And I want Injector legacy too
>>11852060The Takara version even has sharper fur detailing
>>11852079fascinating, they actually took the time to do that?
shit dude I didn't know they made a bublock
>>11849737
>>11852093the diaper and thighs look so weird pushed forward like that.
>>11852093Do they 360 waist swivel?
STUDIO SERIES ALICE WHEN?
Wanted to give props to that anon who recommended the new bee hands for ss86 devy. I'm not the anon you were recommending them to but they just came in yesterday and they're some of the nicest posable digits i've messed with.
>>11852105ooh those are nice, the phalanx ratios and everything. why are they 'bee hands' ?
>>11852115New Bee is the name of the company or whatever they're being sold under. I dunno anything more than that.
>>11852126that's extremely confusing for a couple reasons!
Nemesis Prime spotted at Ross
>>11852134What a steal
>>11852134You guys in the States don't get just how lucky you are sometimes.
>>11852134>on sale for $40>meanwhile just restocked and then sold out again online while being sold for $90
used that terrible op when he had tons of pics of new anons toys he could have used
>>11852134That's about $10 off from how much it should be if Hasbro wasnt into robbing us blind
>>11852134$40 is discount price these days. I remember when that was Leader Class price 20 years ago.
>>11852170>20 years ago.U r old
Back in my day, a deluxe was $10, and we liked it that way.
>>11852176I don't think I'll ever really accept Deluxes over $15. I can drop $450 on an import toy and be fine but seeing a $25 deluxe in stores makes me wince.
>>11852093Hot take: I really don't like this mold. The inability to fold the wings back really affects the dynamism of poses and their overall silhouette. They do feel nice in hand but I want to like them more than I actually do.>>11852099>Do they 360 waist swivelLol no, they barely swivel at all actually.
>open AOTP Brawl>his own chest scratches the paint off his face if you accidentally move the chest plate up while in robot modewowvery cool hasbro
>>11852180Right?>>11852170it's funny, I remember when megas were 20, but because money felt like so much back then, I 'remember it' as being 40. I remember saving up 40 dollars of allowance, which I know is nonsense and I absolutely didn't. I saved up 20. That's how I got Primal and Megatron
>>11852180>seeing a $25 deluxe in stores makes me wince.>be in canada>deluxes are $35 now>voyagers are $50>leaders are $80>I remember when leaders were $40 around when Revenge of the Fallen came out, and I thought that was already too much
>>11852149To be fair, I guarantee you that 99% of Ross stores won’t have this guy. It was the same way when people found AOTP Trypticon there
>>11852186Yeah, the only good things that hit my Ross in the last 4 years were>Speedia Scourge and Shadowstrip>BW 30th Megatron and PrimalNo TM2 Megs or any Titans
>>11852185>I remember when leaders were $40 around when Revenge of the Fallen came outI very specifically remember getting RotF Prime and 25th anni Prime on the same day, $50 and $55 respectively
>>11852099Their waists swivel maybe about 30 degrees in either direction, but then the bottom part of the backpack that hangs over the butt gets in the way of going any further. Still more than the Earthrise mold, at least.
>>11852126goin for the chun li pose kek
>>11852180Deluxes are gonna be $30 by 2028
>>11852183There was one week where K-mart or Toys R Us has deluxes on sale around 1999 for $5 and my sister said she would give me $20 that week, I felt like a king and wrote about it, complete with drawing a picture of myself with 4 deluxes stacked in my hand for my 2nd grade daily writing assignment. I am still chasing that high to this day.
>>11852216tits. That is a top quality memory. You hold onto that sucker. Your sister is cool. Someday she's gonna need a favor and you are gonna be right there.
>>11852182I did the same with my first copy. I fail to see how it’s Hasbro’s fault we’re both retards who can’t follow simple instructions.
>>11852228It has nothing to do with instructions; the chest on mine literally moves up on its own if I try to rotate one of the shoulders because the shoulder joints are so retardedly tight that the chest moves before the shoulder does
>>11852210Just $30? No, the Deluxe size will be phased out and transferred to Voyager, and given a fat accessory.
damn i forgot how cool ss86 grimlock wasthe g2 colour dinobots look pretty cool but i already have 4/5 of the classic grey versions, only missing swoop
What’s the best 3rd party bayverse bumblebee? I need to relive the glory days of loving that concept Camaro
>>11852195So, that means they'll make seekers with full waist swivel some day and those will be the definitive best versions.
>>11852176>>11852180>>11852170>>11852183>>11852185>>11852194This company can go fuck itself. Everything is so goddamn expensive. Toys were supposed to be something you could pick up on a whim.
I got thisDuring the pre-order for this I went for the new MP prime instead. While that MP prime is good but I wouldn't call it like great great- people who have it would know what I'm talking about. But this guy? Takara held a booth last month at the local toy fair and had a few Trise figures and shield prime for public play. Once I played with it, I was sold. Managed to get one with with a 26.66% discount from the original release price. Opening it up, I can see why this higher price than MP prime. This is diaclone level quality. I feel like if I actually have play tested the new MP prime I wouldn't have preordered it over this. Anyway, not much to complain. But I do have to mention I feel like the head sculpt doesn't fit the body. It is too "normal" Prime. It should have been zoidsified a bit especially with the face plate though I don't know how to approach this. Ziods Megatron when?
>>11852319>zoid megatronGojoulas, or Leena Special?
>>11852343I'd say Berserk Fuhrer, it's badass and the colours are mostly rightBut I could see Takara going with a slightly more wrong choice like Geno Saurer or something
>>11852317>Toys were supposed to be something you could pick up on a whim. Were they? Was that the actual definition of "toy"? I agree prices (for everything) have gotten retarded and every corporation is playing a terminal game of "save a shareholder; fuck the customer", but you're a genuine dolt to assert that the purpose ANY toy is to be infinitely affordable on pocket change, just because that's what you need them to be.
>>11852315That plus all 3 will be exclusive to a different store next time that doesn't bother ordering them or putting them out.Why settle for 1 or 2 being hard to find exclusives, when we can go for the full hat trick!
Got a Thundercracker that's missing a Null Ray and customer support has said jack shit to me. How do I get my hands on another one?
>>11852386Buy another Thundercracker, goy.
>>11852386>How do I get my hands on another one?Find the person that got 3 null rays and marry them
>>11852386I thought Hasbro customer support was supposed to be pretty good? it's been years since I needed them but when I got an ML with a defective arm they just sent me a new copy free of charge. have they since shat the bed?
>>11852317Genuinely not sure what Hasbro can do except pivot the line again, this WFC-till-now era cant just go up forever.
>>11852126>>11852105>holy shit these look amazing!>...>price of a Brawl/Swindle/etc.y-yeah...i'd rather buy a whole transformer instead of pair of hands....
>>11852368>but you're a genuine dolt to assert that the purpose ANY toy is to be infinitely affordable on pocket change,Isn't that literally what those cheap toys you get out of those vending machines you see in places like grocery stores are, though?
>>11852373I'm so tired
>>11852492Okay, so buy those and stop complaining. Retard.
>>11852373I don't even want this new Seeker mold. The only one I'm getting is Sunstorm and it pisses me off that he's going to look out of place next to the other guys (not to mention I have to shell out for a 4-pack I don't even want)I haven't even decided if I'm just going to cancel the whole thing. may as well stick with my Botcon Sunstorm since nobody matches anyway
>>11852492>"hmm, Transformers cost a lot of money and keep getting more expensive...">"But... some toys... are cheap?">"Wait a minute...">"Why don't all toys cost the same? After all, they all serve the same purpose of being played with by children!">"Surely the sole factor in the value of a physical object is relegated entirely to its purpose and not its materials or complexity!">"I could think about this longer, but if I stop here, it supports my sense of entitlement!">"Yes, that will do! Some toys cost 50 cents, so therefor, ALL toys should cost 50 cents!"Every now and again, I get the feeling I've witnessed an anon attempt to do the first "critical think" of their lifetime, and it's equal parts hilarious and frightening.
Both of my target exclusive starscream and Joe 2 Pack are expected first week of August. Let's see if target actually delivers.
>>11852516I regret getting them actually. They're not terrible but I've come to honestly prefer my Dramatic Capture seekers. So I'll probably sell the 86 guys off. Glad it saves me the trouble of trying to get Starscream, which is already turning into a shit show from I'm reading and hearing. It is a shame about Sunstorm, but I might just try my luck on picking up a cheap ER Starscream and painting him into Sunstorm myself. I can live without the Rainmakers, and if I change my mind there is always the Siege set.
>>11852550>but I've come to honestly prefer my Dramatic Capture seekers.Pic related, like to me this just looks RIGHT. Everyone instantly recognizable but slightly stylized in the same matching aesthetic, without the hodgepodge of scales and styles you see in the recent 86 stuff. And that's just the Seekers, not even getting into the whole Astrotrain debacle.
>>11852319Yeah I like mine a lot too. I wish there was somewhere to store the motorcycle in robot mode, I'd like if the Zoid mouth was actually poseable, and if there was maybe some kind of locking mechanism for the robot mode legs since there's so many joints in there for Zoid mode it can be a little janky to get them both matching. Very minor complaints. It was so refreshing to handle a figure not only with such quality, heft, and density, but such detail as well. The care and the passion of the designers really shows in it.I'm kind of turning towards just being a Toyrise guy. This and the Brave figures I have are all stellar, and Overhead looks like such a breath of fresh air. I've really grown tired of obvious corner cutting in mainline while prices continue to rise. Sure it's more expensive to import this stuff for me, but I'm actually happy with the figure itself and not left accepting major flaws just because "well they're probably never going to make another Armada Sideways..."
>>11852513>>11852517You're both idiots who lack critical reading skills. The original statement was that "you're a genuine dolt to assert that the purpose ANY toy is to be infinitely affordable on pocket change". This is not true, because there literally ARE toys that are made with that in mind - not Transformers, obviously, but the statement was that no toys ever were designed to be cheap and affordable.
>>11852438My Armada Nemesis Prime came with 2 of the same smokestacks and they just gave me a dinoking and core wheelie instead of a new Nemesis.
>>11852609Dang I want a free wheelie and dinoking
>>11852438Like everything else about Hasbro, their customer support has declined greatly in terms of helpfulness.
>>11852613No. You get two Que's instead.
>>11852317It'll never go back to the good times.
There is dust everywhere. It isn't coming off no matter how much I try clean them.
Man, I really hate the colors hasbro used for their insecticon 3 pack. They could have gone with a nice light grey, like in the box art, but they went with this ugly milky white.
>>11852671I got one of those little electronic dusters off of Amazon a while back, works really well for get inbetween all the details and greebling on my figures. Good for computers too.
>>11852134Didn't see this one but I grabbed the Sonic Tails collab one from ROSS. $25.
>>11852556B-but muh greebles!
>Monstructor gets delivered>packed in a box big enough to hold at least 4 Monstructors, with a single honeycomb sheet of cuck cardboard as cushioningThe fuck?
>>11852839At least you didn't get a fridge sized box. When Hasbro sent my God Neptune set, it arrived in a gigantic box, the actual toys were wrapped around a comical amount of bubble wrap.
>>11852839That's every order from Pulse, kek.I got the Scorponok reissue from them last year and while he doesn't exactly come in a small box, the box he was shipped in was big enough to fit a mini-fridge.
>>11852343Gun sniper, Rinon's version or otherwise, is more of a Soundwave situation. Though not as much as Gairyuki is, since he has actual little guys that can pop off of his armor.>>11852352those both kinda work. Tough to transform though, since these are kaiju-style t-reges with small heads and big thick legs.
>>11852847>At least you didn't get a fridge sized box.jinx
>>11852368before internet, everything was about whimsy. you had to just WANT stuff and go there and buy stuff and see more stuff to buy. remember gifts? gifts were fun. now anyone could buy anything so all you have done is spent money for them.>>11852368i miss pogs and slammers.also I haven't seen those machines in ages
>>11852629yeah we're pretty beyond recovery unless the good lord himself steps down from his comfy cloud to just fix everything.man this guy has some of the worst torso to thigh proportions in history
>>11852855I’m shocked Pogs/Slammers have never reentered the limelight, especially given a lot of the 90s nostalgia going around recently. Heck, one of the most popular meme phrases, Pogchamp, is literally derived from a Pogs Championship stream on Twitch, yet barely anyone talks about the toy itself
>>11852855>remember gifts? gifts were fun. now anyone could buy anything so all you have done is spent money for them...anon are you implying gifts aren't a thing anymore? You just got old and no one is buying you gifts anymore. People still give and get gifts. I gave my nephew a gift this last weekend. My girlfriend got me a gift a few weeks ago. I don't really get gifts anymore for my birthday or christmas but younger people in my family still do. And no all figures weren't just available always. There's a ton of BW, BM, Armada, and Energon figures I could never get because they just weren't distributed well, especially at the end of those lines. Hell I remember trying to find 2007 Bumblebee was a whole quest.
