Super7 says they still have the TMNT license but were vague on how many more 2003 Ultimates were coming. They said they’re focusing on Reaction+ O-ring turtles instead, which are toon accurate, saying there would be at least 4 waves.

Also Tempestra is up at the usual sites as well.
>>
Some Mondo 1/6 stuff as well.
>>
Otherwise it’s been a very slow SDCC for turtle fans, which is sad to see when previous years had so many new releases to get excited about. But I guess this is what Mattel wanted, hope they’re happy with it because I’m sure not.
>>
>>11856844
Super7 are also known liars and are running out the clock. They do not have the license in 2027.
>>
>>11856830
Wait, neca is kill?
>>
>>11856876
No, retard they're not. They're just not doing more TMNT next year.
>>
>>11856878
Neca tmnt is kill is what i meant. But what about lingjihun and stuff?
>>
>>11856887
Also out. Joy Toy dropped out earlier than others
>>
>>11856888
Joytoy too?! Man, I loved the designs
>>
>>11856887
No one really knows. Theres just a lot of speculation based on what has been going on. But the fact mondo is still able to make stuff should tell you not everything is off the table. Some companies are still going to be allowed to make stuff still, either because their license expires at a later date than most of these other companies, or mattel simply doesn't view them as competition.
>>
The irony is the "World of TMNT" is about to get so much smaller, thanks to the corporate overlords.
>>
>>11856887
>lingjihun and Heat Boys
We should wait for china wonfest.
They probably still release everything announced last year.
Also it's chinks. Even if they are lost license that's not going to stop them making new stuff.

From western makers there currently only Mondo >>11856853 doing some new shit.
>>
>>11856902
I’m guessing with Mondo at least, it’s because they’re doing 1/6 and Mattel doesn’t plan on doing anything like that.
>>
>>11856902
>mattel simply doesn't view them as competition
Probably this. Mattel is all about cheap toys for kiddos. There no way they ever going to "100$ for single turtle" route.

Early on. May also depend on if they do Playmates style designs. Bigger question is how many different lines will they do?

They're not doing animated. The only thing they're doing is Mutant Myahem. And only a retard like CC would think otherwise.

Mattel. No one else can, at least not until Mattel licenses it out again.

If Paramount is smart they'll dump it onto a streaming service and hope for the best. MM is pretty much dying and it's obvious Paramount wants to kill it in order to focus on the next live-action reboot.

Neither of the Anons you are arguing with. I live in LA and go to 5-6 Ross stores multiple times in a month AND none of the Turtle's, Playmates or NECA there, pegwarms in any serious legit number. One foot soldier that some kid tore open the package here, one Reporter Nancy there, notwithstanding.

Nobody in LA gets to buy NECA figures from Ross because your ethnic majority shoplift them to sell on eBay.
>>
>>11857202
They have the master rights and are snuffing out all the collector lines. They are not doing this so they can focus on making toys for a part of the franchise that already failed in the toy aisle. They'll almost certainly copy what they are doing for MOTU. A collector line like Chronicles with a unique asthetic and a line that remakes the original toy line with updated articulation. Once those are established they'll introduce toons, comic, and concept figs into the two lines. If it's working for a dead brand like he-man it'll work even better for TMNT.
>>
>>11858904
>Once those are established they'll introduce toons, comic, and concept figs into the two lines
No they won't. Only a moron would think that way. They gain absolutely nothing by retreading ground. Especially aince they can't do it better or as deep.
>>
>>11858802
It's not shitty. Try not being so out of touch.
>>
How is it that 2K3 and 2K12 managed to successfully revive the franchise and put it on the map again while every other attempt shits the bed?
>>
>>11858943
If you think they're not going to retread old ground you haven't been collecting toys for very long. Retards rebuy characters all the fucking time. Transformers fans are already demanding a new Sideswipe toy from the new Red Alert announced yesterday even though Devastation Sideswipe is still pretty fresh and the character gets released regularly in all his various paint decos when he gets a new mold. Fans will buy a new toon line eventually.
>>
>>11858943
I for one look forward to Mattel making a toon turtle line that doesn't fall apart when you look at it wrong.
>>
>>11858946

>>
>>11858993
>Transformers fans are already demanding a new Sideswipe toy from the new Red Alert announced yesterday even though Devastation Sideswipe is still pretty fresh

and clearancing out at $12 or less in spite of "demand" I don't think online forums or shit that's plagued with bots is really the place to go to get a good idea of what will and won't sell. What people claim online and what they actually do is night and day.

But let's be real, costs are getting worse and worse and there is only an upper limit of what people will spend so what we might be seeing is that hypothetical mass shrinkage of products as it becomes like comics where it's only offered in specialty places and little else.
>>
>>11858101
It's not dead but Disney is a horrid company to work with and you have to get the OK for anything being shown off to the point many times the companies that make the products just don't waste the time unless the mouse demands it like what happen with Star Wars from 2016 to 2019 where Hasbro was always having to do a booth at major cons even if no products to be announced because that's what the mouse wanted.
>>
>>11859058
Jakks showed off a new wave, so the line is still alive in some form.

She is essentially the last big-name character the Cartoon line had to offer (Besides Krang's robot body) and they've been avoiding her for years to do lesser characters and variants. People wanted to finish the Night of the Rogues line up. Its kind of like how MOTU fans threw down every time they didn't get an Origins Two-Bad announcement because he was the last major MOTU character Origins needed to do and they've been stringing fans along to hold onto their interest.

I actually preferred the bumpy turtles but besides my personal preferences i think youre right and releasing the turtles with added sculpted detail in the first release killed the hype for the line
>>11860479
>I'm pretty sure they don't have the mold for him. I swear that was confirmed at some point.
IIRC Every new reissue playmates toys has done is a brand new mold using the older sculpt. Even the reissues from the 2010s had new date stamps. They couldve easily have simply made new tooling using the scratch sculpt and released that like they should have several years ago
>It really does suck they went out with such a whimper. They had the chance to flood the market of highly saught after figures and they didn't even make an attempt.
And thats the same type of lazy half assed behavior that makes playmates losing the TMNT license so cathartic for me. Despite everything i actually enjoy playmates toys turtle figures but with asinine decisions like never putting out fan demanded characters like scratch or other hard to find characters as reissues and CONSTANTLY canceling figures they showed off at shows for no good reason i cant help but feel a catharsis at playmates toys losing the turtles license. Like they even teased scratch and hot spot several years back as apart of a wave that people could vote on and retards online voted for the wave roster that had much less rare characters in it and playmates even said they would get to him eventually but i guess not anymore. Im so pissed and i will be eternally mad about how awful playmates toys has treated TMNT for years now but i take comfort in the fact that they finally got their just deserts after all these years for constantly being lazy and cheap shits and its finally come back to haunt them will lead to their demise as a company. Fuck playmates toys!

Trevor does say Tempestra "might be the last cartoon figure we are doing for the foreseeable future" so there is a slight chance that they have another one up their sleeve. He also specifically said "cartoon figure" so maybe there might be something to come for one of the other sublines, but I wouldn't be surprised if that was it.

All these have to do to do a better job than Playmates with their “remastered” line is give the turtles ball jointed hips, and ankle joints that’s all. They could do more but just those things would be a tremendous improvement over the remasters. I am very optimistic about Mattel considering their MOTU line.
>>
>>11861756
I’d be surprised if they’re even allowed to try to pull an origins. Playmates might not have rights to the franchise but that doesn’t mean copying their designs is suddenly on the table either.
>>
>>11862047
They don't own the designs, which was why they couldn't stop Super7 through legal means. If they owned the designs, Playmates would have hauled them though court before the team was even complete, but instead their only recourse was complaining to Nickelodeon that it wasn't fair to their master license.
>>
>>11861988
Nothing that was said there is wrong. Playmates had an iron clad grip on TMNT and Neca managed to get in there and open the door for themselves, and for everyone else. They don't mind waiting for their chance.

You aren't getting the TMNT license back. You can't afford it. Your yearly revenue wouldn't allow for such an expense. David Ellison realised he can get more money from upping the license fee and getting a company with $5 billion yearly revenue to pay what he wants instead of getting scraps from poorfag companies that don't even have proper global distribution channels.

>Not to mention what we're already seeing being allowed to continue.
What is being allowed to continue is only allowed to continue because Paramount can't cut off companies that still have valid licenses that extend into the period when Mattel's master license takes effect without having to pay them out. That would be a breach of contract. Which is why these companies are bowing out as the licenses come up for renewal. This was spelled out for you months ago, but you chose to bury your head in the sand.

You're a bad liar.
>>
>>11863821
If you are talking about what Attack Peter said with his "we'll see" comment, NECA doesn't have a working relationship with Mattel like Mondo do from their MOTU lines. That is the main thing potentially leaving the door open for Mondo's TMNT future, along with the fact that Mondo doesn't compete with Mattel at retail like NECA does, especially not with Attack Peter's limited edition artisan Sofubi stuff. And even that isn't a certainty.
You are pinning all of your delusional hopes on one vague statement from someone that is barely involved with the TMNT license.
>>
>>11863850
>NECA doesn't have a working relationship with Mattel like Mondo do from their MOTU lines
Not true. Which goes to show how little you know about everything.

>You are pinning all of your delusional hopes on one vague statement from someone that is barely involved with the TMNT license.
Nope. You should probably watch all the videos with interviews so you don't sound like a dumbass. Nothing that's been said has anything to do with what Attack Peter said last night.
>>
>>11863856
Bro, NECA's MOTU shit was 20+ years ago. They don't have a working relation with Mattel in the current year. Almost everyone that worked at Mattel when they did that shit is dead, retired or moved on.
>You should probably watch all the videos with interviews
ALL THE VIDEOS WITH INTERVIEWS? ALL OF THEM?
Fuck, get a life.
I've watched plenty, and they all say NECA is done. Even the ones with interviews with NECA employees.
If there was one that was relevant, you'd link it to prove me wrong. By not posting it, you are proving you are a delusional copeposter.

>>11864049
That's Kidrobot, which is a subsidiary of NECA, and was owned by NECA back in 2020 when NECA announced that they wouldn't be selling Godzilla merch anymore.
Kidrobot has the Godzilla license. NECA doesn't have the license, despite the fact that NECA is the parent company. You have a childlike understanding of the world. Licenses don't work the way you think they do.
>>
>>11864309
That's not how licenses work. Just because Kidrobot have the license for Simpsons plush charms doesn't mean NECA can make Simpsons action figures. The Ben Cooper figure was under the Ben Cooper license. You don't know how licensing works, and the fact that you are getting so angry about being called out is telling.
>>
Until NECA makes a new Godzilla figure, I will, from here out, be under the impression they lost the Godzilla license and the Monsterverse license.
>>
>>11864345
Randy lost the license in that meeting where he named the wrong kaiju and everyone gasped in shock horror. They can make all the plushies they want to but they will never make another Goji toy as long as Randulf is vp
>>
>>11864339
>They still have to license through Toho. Says so on the box retard.
If the word "Godzilla" is on the box, of course they have to list Toho as the IP owner. They still can't make an actual Godzilla figure because they don't have the license to make Godzilla figures. Otherwise, with Playmates losing TMNT, this imaginary "gentlemen's agreement" between Playmates and NECA would be void, and they could have shown off their latest Godzilla figure prototypes at SDCC. But they couldn't, because they don't have the license to make Godzilla action figures.
>>
>>11864339
So why aren't NECA making Simpsons figures? Kidrobot has the license, so according to your logic, that means NECA has the license.

>>11864521
They used to make Godzilla figures too. Until they lost the license, as seen here >>11863995
And soon we'll be talking about how they used to make TMNT figures because they lost the license.
>>
>>11864548
Hopefully they will still make turdle plush so necanon can still claim victory for randy
>>
>>11864551
Since Ad Populum is the parent company for NECA, Kidrobot, and Joseph Enterprises, maybe they can make Turdle Chia Pets so he can claim that NECA still have the TMNT license.
>>
>>11864569
So they don't have the license to make Godzilla action figures. They let it lapse, so they lost it. The same way if you let your insurance lapse, you lose your insurance coverage. They lost the license by letting it lapse.
Which means they don't have the Godzilla license. As can be seen on the NECA store, where Godzilla isn't listed as one of their licenses. No plushies. Because NECA do not sell Godzilla plushies.
>>
>>11864592
Then they would be under the Godzilla section of the licenses listed on their store. Too bad there is no Godzilla section in the list of licenses they have on their store. There is a Ben Cooper section though. But no Godzilla. And soon they will also remove the TMNT section.
>>
>>11864652
Where are the Godzilla plushies on the NECA store? They have Ben Cooper t-shirts on there, so they do put non action figure merch on the NECA store. Where are the NECA Godzilla plushies?
>>

>>
>>11865131
Too bad you're wrong about that. Seeing as they're still selling Godzilla toys. Seethe.
>>
>>11860587

>>
What do you think Playmates will do to the beloved original TMNT tooling?
>>
>>11865147

Wouldn't it be funny if no one bought Mattel's TMNT line?
>>
>>11866748
It would be almost as funny as NECA losing the TMNT license.
>>
>>11866831
>loses Godzilla to Playmates
>loses TMNT to Mattel
They just keep winning.
>>
>>11866748
I mean that's kind of where things are going. TMNT isn't a desert of product anymore. Thanks to NECA, we got fed. We got almost every single thing we could've wanted. Super7 added to that, and while there's more with them that needed to be done, they got cut off pretty quickly. And outside of some vintage re-releases, nothing was really wanted from Playmates. If you liked Mutant Mayhem, you got all that shit.

But now? Mattel doesn't have any one to sell to. They're at a disadvantage (on top of ill will, either rightfully or not directed at them) with the economy dropping like a rock, kids have no interest in TMNT like they once did. Collectors held the market up. Collectors were what even sold Mutant Mayhem toys...

I think Mattel's best chance is in-house designs for Chronicles. It's new, it's different, it's the only thing that would make people want to buy new TMNT. Something they don't already have, and have better versions of. But we don't know how far they can even go doing something like that. Will Paramount allow it?

You'll have first wave adopters, cause there's always that rush of "ooh, new!" and then it'll probably begin dropping fast afterwards.Mostly because money is going to get tight for collectors in the coming months. So 2027 is simply going to be painful.
>>
>>11867027
The thing I'd question is: are most collectors going to understand that their older NECAs are actually better than anything Mattel can put out, or will there be this new-blindness that overcomes collectors and makes them sell old figures and buy the new line. It happens a lot it seems. You'd think it wouldn't here.

There's no way Mattel is going to put out fully painted figures that are as detailed as the NECAs given everything I've seen from them. Mattel may ride into the 'pinless' meme high to try to convince collectors. Hopefully most see that what Mattel is going to put out is going to pale in comparison and pass over them, punishing them for ending better lines.
>>
>>11867060
I mean, no, probably not. Since a lot of people just buy for the sake of buying. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just depends on why they're doing it. If they genuinely like how a new thing looks, even if it's not better really, that's fine, it's like art, different styles hit folks the right way.

But for a big company like Mattel, they need more than that to sustain the purchase of the IP. And it sounds like they're being given this year (maybe two?) of "no competition" to figure themselves out. Which isn't exactly the biggest vote of confidence in what they'll be able to do.

I half wonder if MM2 bombing will harm their bottom line, in the end as well. They buy an IP and then Paramount tanks the interest further...

But, yeah, no, Mattel can't match the collector markets, let alone the sculpting, paint, detailwork of the NECA stuff. They come close, they do good work still, but it definitely isn't the same. Tricky tightrope of a situation.
>>
>>11867097
>I half wonder if MM2 bombing will harm their bottom line, in the end as well. They buy an IP and then Paramount tanks the interest further...
If it does paramount is already working on another live action reboot to replace it quickly.

I dont buy them but they suck and are a waste of plastic and resources that could've gone to other figure lines that i actually like and that also actually sell. The ben cooper shite is a literal drain for neca as no one buys those pieces of shit figures and the budget used for those shitty boomer nostalgia dollar store crap costumes in generic kid bucks could've been reallocated onto actually cool toy lines and figures instead but randys terminal shit taste has a perpetual hard on for diarrhea like ben cooper slop so thats why they stick around its just as gay and lame as the golden girls figures or all the garfield shit they made too

>The ben cooper shite is a literal drain for neca as no one buys those pieces of shit figures
Also incorrect. The line was a gigantic success from the start, and obviously people do buy them or it wouldn't be this many figures deep.

I am not faking an opinion about toys as a larp to try and rile people up online, i genuinely sincerely hate those ben cooper wastes of shelf space and i am objectively correct in calling ben cooper figures slop because thats what they are-slop. The former is what trolling really is you stupid shill shit muncher, as much as you pout and whine people will still absolutely hate crap like those shoddy waste of plastic and not everyone is some weird parasocial disney adult for neca the way you are. Maybe if neca was able to ship out and distribute figures people actually wanted like horror characters or TMNT the way they do with the ben cooper slime that randy unjustly prioritizes because of personal bias and shit taste, maybe then neca wouldnt be losing the TMNT license next year :^)
>>
You guys should just fuck already. You lot already act like women with the whole catty bullshit attitudes.
>>
>>11869482
Raging about a toy line that doesn't hurt anything and sells well shows that you are an unhinged child. You are trolling.
>>
>>11869772
Any opinion that you personally dont like isnt what trolling is. God youre such a retard that you shill for toy companies for free online but cant even grasp basic fucking internet lingo right you moron loser
>>
>>11869811
It is very funny how you lack any self awareness.
>>
>>11868811
Sister, someone is lying to you.
NECA still is expected to do their own stocking.
If they bring toys to a store, they will be stocked.
If they don't, they won't.

>>11868821
That whole top shelf isn't greasy mcfart future peg warmer fodder. And once they get more stock to fill the other empty areas, if will contract.

>Street Sharksright next to April for some reason.
>Mattel is getting the TMNT license
Like it or not, there's 100% going to be a crossover. The only question is if will be two-packs, the sharks in ninja gear and weapons, or having them shoehorned into the TMNT equivalent of MOTU Origins a la Sun-Man.
>>
>>11870316
>for some reason.
Because it's part of the same vinyl line you fucking moron.
>>
>>11870316
>all this delusion in one post
>>
>>11856830
Any rumored movie stuff besides the movie realization Bebop & Rocksteady and jump suit April get canceled? I think April was axed regardless of the license situation.
>>
>>11870316
Hopefully Mattel stick to cohesion between IPs. They've started the core lines for DC and MOTU so TMNT core line is expected. So a core line of Street sharks without the runner parts would be nice.
>>
>>11868591
It's more like I just wanted the collection to keep growing
I was actually okay with the movie line ending, except I NEED movie II splinter. and I don't see how I could ever make that happen, I'd have to learn how to sculpt with flexible plastic and carefully realistically paint it, and...
>>11868886
for the super7s, I had quite a few more I REALLY wanted, and was looking forward to. and it's got me wanting to try to make customs, but finances are not gonna make that possible
I don't think I'll sell, I just kinda had a weird feeling. I never even customized my china van like I was gonna, with a rear bench seat and these lil gas tank props I found etc... Don't really have the space, either. and I'm about to have even less space.
>>
>>11870691
That isn't happening, at all.
>>
Don't know if anyones interested but I am in the process of getting a fan Tmnt/GIJoe comic made. it's gonna be years in the making but i've got the 1st issue cover started and working on the script now.
>>
>>11870943
The way I see it, if the companies won't do it, its up to us.

>>
>>11871032
It won't find an audience. They're pissing into the wind on that.
>>
>>11870943
that's awesome but you can't just squish the aspect ratio in like that to fit the cover size. i tried stretching it back out and it still doesn't look right
>>
>>11870943
Do you only draw fags or something?
>>
>>11871435
No, it's just part of the story Zartan is after Leatherhead because he kidnapped Zarana, so now their hunting each other.
>>
>>11871219
heres the original.
https://files.catbox.moe/pypysh.png
>>
>>11871633
Do you understand why the art is wrong here? I think maybe leatherhead's arms were drawn last, and maybe the archer's legs.. but there's heavy skewing and flattened warping on the gun, leatherhead's head, the archer's upper body.. it's quite fucked up
>>
>>11871469
Their what is hunting each other?
>>
>>11871469
No you moron, >>11871435 said that because you drew Zartan as a woman

Someone fill me in please

The gauntlet won't stay on, feels like its peg is too short. Plus the grip is so loose it can actually grip his weapons.

Any info is much appreciated
>>
>>11874518
Can't*** actually grip his weapons
>>
>>11874518
Have you tried hot water? That might work for both issues. Heat that gauntlet up and squeeze the grip tighter and then let it cool while the hand is in that position. I've done that with numerous toys where an accessory slightly stretched the hand.
I'm not sure how the peg is designed, so I dunno which part you should heat up. Usually heating the socket up and inserting the peg works. Like, really jam it in there while she's warmed up and twist it a bit to see if the flange grips the inside of the socket.

boy that Slash. he just cannot go wrong in toys.
even the goofy toon one was show-accurate, and that same company made the archie one so you have your options

uh, that gauntlet is for holding the sword tengu

You do realize that opposed to random shit like Stranger Things and Godzilla, TMNT X Street Sharks has been a crossover people have actually been wanting for decades right?
Hell the only reason we got Turtles of Grayskull was because of unused concept art years earlier that Mattel had laying around.
>>
>>11876044
You do realize how much of a loser you are for still trying to push something like that? It's not ever going to happen. Mattel is not interested in putting any more money into Sharks. They have actual money making IPs with DC and Turtles now.
>>
>>11876044
i think tmnt 'toy verse' x godzilla made a lot of sense, and it's a shame super7 wasnt able to do it. they rock at big, meaty, kaiju-y figures.
stranger things would have weirdly crossed over okay with the tmnt movieverse.
In both cases, they just did it blindly and stupidly, and it turned out meh to crap.

I do agree that Street Sharks x TMNT is a lot of fun and has potential. But a big issue is that the sharks are 3-4 times as big as the turtles.
>>
>>11876306
Mattel should do what they did with those DC Universe Classics/Masters of the Universe Classics two-packs from the late 2000s and have it consist of two-packs consisting of a reissued 30th Anniversary shark with a different turtle (Piranoid is paired with Shredder of course).
Bonus if they're packaging is a nod to both vintage lines IE plastic cages with pizza and ooze splattered on them and brick wall backdrop with SS easter eggs like hamburgers spattered, a flyer for one of Rox's concerts, a wanted poster etc.
>>
>>11876448
mite work
the new sharks figures were -okay- but they needed another pass. too narrow in the upper torso, too toon-accurate.

Why do so many companies only exclusively want to churn out preschool crap cartoons now? No one watched that shit and theyre blatantly ignoring the market for regular cartoons or adult cartoons outside of generic family guy/brickleberry knock off
>>
>>11876622
more to the point, there's fewer preschoolers than ever before

>Toys sold so poorly Playmates lost the license
>Stuff like the pizza restaurant and the upcoming stage shows are based around the 1987 show
>Sequel pretty much DOA with already Paramount getting ready for the next live-action reboot

>Why do so many companies only exclusively want to churn out preschool crap cartoons now?

They sell a shitload of merchandise. Paw Patrol and Bluey print money.
>>
>>11876895
Maybe garbage like paw patrol and that faggy blue dog do but literally none of these other preschool shit toons make money at all. The oush for this toddler crap killed cartoon network for example and it doesnt sell anywhere else either by pushing out regular cartoons from being made its simply killing animation in the west
>>
do we know for a fact that Mezco is also losing the license? They're still promoting the foot soldier which isn't even available for preorder or have a date, so at the earliest it'd still be after mattel gets the license.
They clearly go for a more expensive price that doesn't compete with Mattel so perhaps they will get to keep the license.
>>
>>11876954
The preschool Spiderman, Cocomelon, whatever Disney is making...its incredibly easy to sell toys of preschool shows because kids are too young to care, so parents/grandparents/aunts and uncles can just buy whatever.
>>
>>11877016
firstly, what parents
secondly, where would they get money from?
>>
>>11877017
The parents of the preschool children who watch the shows. The kids see the show, they want the toys, the parents buy whatever because the kid is too young to be specific, rinse and repeat.

Or, the show uses some gimmick they know kids love, like Paw Patrol and dinosaurs.
>>
>>11877055
and are these 'parents with money' in the room here with us?
