Got back to work on my Mao. Hard to see from my shitty photography but the other leg is done up to look like a nylon stocking. Made a fair few goofs when assembling (really should have let it cure for longer) but was able to hide the resulting scuffs with faux "rips" using some fleshtone acrylic paint marker. Also used metallics from the same marker brand (Artistro if you're interested, they come in giant packs for cheap on Amazon) for the gold and the metallic pinky-red, which worked shockingly well.

My latest Ali order included some underwear sets. These are some of the more common but also more expensive underwear sets you'd find from doll clothing vendors, I only was able to purchase a set of three due to discounts for bulk buying.They're made of some pretty stretchable fabric, but also very thin and I'm concerned about tearing it every time I put on the bras on one of the bodies (pulling the shoulders out of the sockets is basically mandatory). There’s a tiny gap between the neck and the collar, but once she’s fully assembled, with long hair, clothes and so on, it’ll be fine (the original Vivienne neck had a gap anyway). I’ll eventually find a way to bulk it up a bit before painting, maybe using nail polish to gain that extra 0.6 mm.

Maria is really nice, continues the great articulation from the regular kits with more really nice detailing. The vinyl-y skirt is actually pretty nice, much nicer than I was expecting. Just finished my second pupper - since I went High Kemono with the Brown Wolf, I decided to go Mid Kemono for her (though I kept the High Kemono head; really wish the Mid Kemono heads had movable eyes, but whatever). I also swapped out her limbs for the Arm and Leg addon, which makes it easier for her to stand on her own (when not in a jumping pose like I currently have her) and makes her legs look a lot less...chaotic with all the random joints. The kit also has a good middleground for the hands, so they don't look too human but also don't look like gigantic mittens.I've got a bunch of 1/12 outfits shipping that I'm giving to my various other figures already, so I plan on playing around with them and finding something that looks good on her (and the Brown Wolf, who's still naked as well) when they get here.

Recently finished SST Rui. Unfortunate that her bike isn't out yet, so I just went for a silly pose with her in a chair in her full riding gear. It seems Koto learned their lesson from Emma and included a second pair of arms this time, so you can make two complete bodies. She has got the usual sitting gimmick legs besides, plus the usual school bag and smartphone. No alternate hairstyles again, but only so much she could do with her hair as short as it is. The color seperation is really good, the zipper and pockets on her jersey are separate parts, so she doesn't really need any paint. The bag and smartphone need color correction, as usual, but that's 10 minutes. I think she's really cute and look forward to her swimsuit version. Now give us a swimsuit/cheerleader/casual clothes Emma already!
