>>11869776Where the fuck is my new super powers joker todd? You shouldve made one in the first few waves of the line by now you lazy hack, so im deserved him in one of the EE waves especially when you shouldve gotten to him back in 2022

Wait so do the Alex Ross Superman and Batman both come with a repo of the same comic? I already own the series in it's entirety but that's stupid.
>>11869860robin was an adult in that film
>>11869919I have the first two volumes and thought that was the whole story. I thought it was really clever because the whole story was about the League having to beat brain worms and slowly brings the team together one by one, then the last issue is all of them getting together and agreeing they're going to fuck up the bad guys. Then it just ends, because you know they'll win, there's no drama to just watching the League punch a bunch of bad guys. It let the story focus on the characters and how they trust and care for each other, while the villains are all scheming and trying to manipulate each other. But then they make a bunch of suits of Iron Man armor for their big special battle and it just becomes a boring slugfest. It's a good story if you stop reading it halfway through.Alex Ross Superman should be here Friday.
>>11869927It's basically just painted superfriends. It was fun throughout.
Turns out these are cheaper and simpler versions exclusive to the Indonesian market>Noticeably cheaper>Fewer accessories>Simpler paint apps>Simplified packaging>Just one head sculpt
Not sure why I'm so hyped for him but I am
why is there so much Todd sllopdid he panic and put a bunch of shit out at the last secondday after day there is new Todd slop

I had a dream Todd and Valley Forge were sitting at my kitchen table talking about making a Phantom Lady figure. I had to keep bringing them cups of coffee but they'd stop talking and just look at me whenever I walked into the kitchen so I had to listen to them from my living room.
>>11870278Ah yeah I've been doing some chaos magick with toys lately so you probably got caught up in that. Did you know at 28mm scale the Trinity nuke's initial fireball with a millisecond was about 100 inches wide, vaporizing everything inside the red tablecloth. Within 2 seconds it about doubled in size. The shockwave spreads for about twenty miles, and even into the dreams of anons.
>>11869919The comic isn't for people who own or read comics (which is why were still getting Zack Snyder figs almost 10 years later)It's for people who don't read comics to be introduced to the medium through collectable toysI doubt many people even read any of the included page puncher comics anyway

>>11871127nah, most the articulation on Mcs are barely functional
>>11871122>scales barely with MattelI have this figure, and while it is cool, Mafex may as well be blended only with DC Classics or the Mattel kids line. I have their Knightfall Batman too, and he kinda hurts the entire line for me, because his headsculpt is too anime looking, plus his torso just makes him look weird in displays if you want a classic blue and gray Batman. Harley’s more of an outlier in the line. Even their Bane has a bobble head and just doesn’t have the shelf presence the McFarlane has..
>>11871134lol, lmao even.
>>11871131Man... I just want something half competent like Legends. They just sit on their ass doing nothing and I still end up buying at least half a dozen figures every year, and I don't even like Legends as a toyline but they don't feel like bricks on my hand.
Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is let go...is there anyone here who has let go of the DC multiverse line for their own sake?

>>11871146I'm almost there. My multiverse collection started with Aquaman and it will end with Mera. There's some releases I would have bought if they had come out last year but I've already packed most of my multiverse figures away. Braniac is really tempting.
>>11871106Yes it's too big, but why buy this if you can get a 6.5 inch dick greyson robin for $12
>>11871146I'm just trying to complete my classic justice league and my JLIJust ordered world's finest Batman and I'm just waiting for Robin Big Barda and a classic Green Arrow to finally ditch this line. Apparently there's a single release Green Arrow and a 2pack Green Arrow Black Canary on the way. Hopefully one of them is a classic Green arrow.
>>11871146It's so gay how you overly dramatic you guys need to be about collecting toys. There are plenty of lines that I started out liking but then for some reason or another, I just stopped collecting it. No fuss no muss. But you little queens come on here and act like you're becoming born again Christians or something just because you're not buying more DC Multiverse toys. For me though, I don't collect DC Multiverse figures so I never even got on Todd's wild ride. Can't say it's been fun watching you goobers act like spazoids for the past five years about it though. I hope you won't act this way with Mattel, because it's going to be a long winter if you do.
>>11871174he means of anime that is like Knightfall. Some 80s ovas would probably work
Now that the line is near its end, what do you think the worst McFarlane DC Multiverse figure is? Or best too if you're so inclined.
>>11871276I imagine there is always something to complain about in almost every toy line. Even Jada who is excellent has people complain that their figures come out slowly
>>11871298Action comics 1000 Superman is easily the worst dc multiverse figure Todd made.
>>11871301You guys don't have to be such fucking ninnies about it though, holy fuck.

>>11871343It isn't enough that I don't buy it, it must not exist. It is an affront to humanity. It actively preys on collectors in a bald faced, obvious way.

>>11871345How though?
>>11871353For someone to have bodies for Fury 6 and Veon in addition to Rankorr to have them all on the shelf, they need to buy this pack 3 times at $80 each. That's $240. Here's how it should be released: Individual releases of Fury 6, Veon and Rankorr. If you want to re-release Atrocitus, you do a re-release individually.>>11871351If these figures were released back then with the modern McFarlane Toys mindset, Medieval Spawn would be in a hostage 2 pack with a translucent glow in the dark all yellow repaint of Anti-Spawn/Redeemer after the main release in the standard comic colors was already released. Spawn would be an Elite Edition with some filler accessories like some generic mold reuse guns for double the usual MSRP.
I found this guy at Walmart hidden behind a bunch of Black Adams.

>>11871507The lack of wire is a bummer but he's still a cool toy. If he's like $20 or less I'd say go for it, even if it is a wireless doll cape.
>>11871769>never handled a 7in McFarlane figureNTA but McFarlane figures don't topple just because they're 7 inch, they topple because McFarlane uses heavier plastic and have shitty ankle joints that can't handle anything except a straight up-and-down pose long term.
>>11871856Isn't it possible just to shove thin garden wire up the seams?
>>11871887Only if they have open seams you can shove wire into like no mans land batman Some figs like zero hour superman have closed seams you can't easily shove a wire inside and some figs like the new Alan Scott figure have no seams at all so it's extremely hard to add wires if it's even possible at all.

>>11871887I might try that with the Brandon Routh Superman. I'm kind of irked that my Bale Batman has a wired cape but Routh's just hangs limp, but honestly, all he was ever going to do was stand with his hands on his hips in a top corner of the shrine so who cares. The Ross figures absolutely need wired capes. They look weird in dynamic poses so even though they have better articulation than the older lines that have adapted his style, they still default to statuesque resting poses and need big billowing capes to feel alive. In some ways, the capes are the figures, so they're the most McFarlanesque... Toddesque? Spawny McFarlane DC toys they've made.>>11871889Seamless wireless capes are the slippery slope I warned all of you against when they moved away from beautiful sculpted plastic capes. >>11871940>I'm kind of irked that my Bale Batman has a wired cape but Routh's just hangs limpYeah that is annoying, especially considering one of the more iconic shots from Returns (and the trailer) is Superman in space with his cape floating behind him. If and when I grab the figure I'm definitely gonna try putting a wire in there because that's probably how I'll pose him.
>>11871940batman looks sickly here
>>11872028Yeah same, buuuut the other iconic image of him is the hands on hips looking up pose, so I guess I'll take it. I don't care enough right now to mess with stringing in a wire.Today is Crisis on Infinite Shelves day. This has become a clusterfuck, Gotham is overrun, I had to take down the Kryptonian battlesuit to make room for the Wayne Manor, no man is allowed to set foot on Themyscira but it's filling up with bitches fast, people are just wandering wherever they want. I don't even have most of the Batman villains on here. I'm going to take everything down, dust, and think about teams and a cool layout.

And another 20-40 something else that I will never display or don't want but ended up with, and a few outliers like Zatanna where I got caught up in the blood fever but at least paid retail. So I definitely own more than 100. But I certainly didn't pay more than $20 for many, and if you average it out, I probably paid close to $10-14 for most of these mcfarts>11872233the puzzle store in the "downtown" of my 20k suburban hometown sells toys and has most of these for like $11-12-14.99 My LCS closed but supposedly something new has opened, it's been too hot to bother going to that area to check out. The other LCSs nearby, nope.Lots of old DC mcfarts (2020/21 era), overpriced DC Collectibles ($50 per) and ridiculously overpriced DC Directs, like Silver Age Batman and Robin for $200.
>>11872255Imprisoned in plastic they are. Escape, impossible it seems
God damn it Yoda, get off /toy/.
>>11872169I don't really plan to be buying dc toys in even a single decade, let alone multiple ones
So did companies all decide at once the kids that watched the old Batman movies are now the ideal buying demographic age?
>>11872304You're just now figuring that out? We're also the last generation that grew up playing with toys, and everyone older than us that likes Ninja Turtles, Transformers, and MotU is entering retirement homes. People in their mid 30's are the demographic now, and the only one left.
>>11872145Is there a McFarlane collection calculator like the Lego scalpers use?
>>11872304Schumacher's shameless toy focused art design is finally paying off. I'm pretty excited for that Arnold Mr. Freeze.
>>11872310Todd bros just do it through vibes, bro.
>>11872266Not permanent, that is. Shipment, it seems. Storage is not.
>>11872100I'm way too poor for stuff like this. That's about $200 in the picture. If it makes you happy that's honestly all that really matters. But my brain looks at this and says that's 2 (or even just 1) Revoltechs/Mafex which I'll be playing/posing with a lot more than all of these Batmen combined.
do Americans still buy Todd's plastic bits?
>>11870889I'm happy with this set besides once again the animal characters get stuck to being a poorly posed statue. I want a basic red buck for Hal or Guy since I don't care about random aliens if they aren't hot naked winged women.
when does this bloody bitch bastard get a reissue or 1.5 upgrade
>>11871955Hey man I heard that too also heard it's going to be a mcfarlane designed figure so a whole new outfit! It's that cool!
>>11872410Only the female figures sell. That Catwoman is sold out most places while Battinson and Gordon only sold out on Amazon, who currently orders just a tiny allotment to try to prevent mcfarlanes from clogging their warehouse shelves
>>11872100>>11872386>That's about $200 in the picture. If it makes you happy that's honestly all that really matters.I don't think that happens all at once - although I was trying to find some spare heads and hands on ebay and there are people selling off entire lots of 15-40 McFarlane's all at once. Even with the postage, some of those auctions are going for about $7 a figure, although to be fair to the Toddler, some of the figures are pure dross, like Hot Pursuit and NKIT Walter West.I like to pretend that a better version of JMS' shitty Fortress of Solidarity concept actually exists where superman from across the omniverse go, have Soder Cola, hang out and complain about how popular Phantom Lady is.And I bought all of these one by one and most of them used, second hand. I think $20 including postage is the most I paid for one, on average.
>>11872386>Spending $200 over the course of three years is considered a lot of money If you think this is a lot of money you need to find a cheaper hobby. Holy shit. I could fart away $200 and not realize it.
>>11872501Why should? It's all relative really. His collection probably burns his pockets just the same as mine. I don't think any of us are living a lower quality or standard of life because of our collecting.
So on a whim I did a browse of the clearance dregs of amazon for mcfarlanes and something weird has happened. Even the deepest of discounted figures that used to be like 10-12 bucks like Duke Thomas has now, for the most part, risen to 15-17 bucks. Amazon must either be really desperate for cash or they're just trying to inflate toy prices across the board because they have so much warehouse space they can let this stuff sit forever.
>>11872507The lifetime toy money spent invested in an index fund would yield a higher standard of living in retirement. Toy companies are stealing collector's futures.
>>11872533Sweetie, I AM retired. My future is walking the dog, keeping the cats from knocking over my priceless collection of Toddslop (although enough grease on her fur has disabused the older, smarter kitty of doing this), and trying to con my kids to come over by offering to make them pancakes so I can force them to watch Supergirl with me so I don't have to be alone for it.
>>11869776>>11872507$200 over the course of three years is NOT a lot of money. I'm sick of listening to you poorfags whine about prices literal children can afford. Fuck right off. Find a new hobby or get more money. Imagine thinking $65ish a year is a lot of money. Holy shit.
>>11872539you are one of the few toy collectors who are yet
>>11872539post hand
>>11872539Someone who's retired isn't stressing over spending $67 a year on toys. Again, stop being fucking poor, you are actively ruining this hobby.
>>11872547Actually I can imagine retirees would be the ones most stressing over money besides unemployed people, because retirees are living on fixed income.
>>11872554then someone like that would be stupid to put themselves in the red compulsively buying 3 different versions of every toddslop figure that drops in the dead of night like a rapist from a fire escape after creating another victim
>>11872554That's what happens when the economy is geared towards funding wars in the middle east
>>11872555>Spending $67 in a year puts you in the redActually listen to yourself. I have like $200-$300 worth of loose change, at least, in one of those big tins that the Christmas popcorn comes in. What country are you from? Are you old enough to even post here?
>>11872424The female figures are limited because they DON'T sell well like the male characters.
>>11872567Sorry anon, you're wrong, that isn't how figure case packs work. we can see the make up of the case packs of this wave from EE. For the store to order 2 Battinson, they have to also get 2 Gordon and 2 Catwoman. Each wave has the same amount of figures in this case, nothing is packed any more heavily than others. Catwoman is just that much more desirable than either of the other 2, and it should be obvious why.
I mean, I did kind of wonder why you're always here, always have a bitch ass old woman attitude, and why you never do anything interesting.Cripple, retard, or retired were my main three guesses. Honestly I was leaning towards retardeded because of how you conduct yourself and the dogshit impulse control and lack of emotional maturity you repeatedly display.
>>11872547>>11872560to be fair to that anon, he's probably thinking three figures like Kid Flash, Brainiac and Sinestro, which were $60+ with taxes to pre-order two from Game Stop, so say closer to $90-$95+ for the three, than $67. be the outlier who wants Krem, Lobo and Drunk Kara with puppy, even at Target, is another $102+ and yes, for some people, an unnecessary (and Toddslop is fully unnecessary) expense of some $1K a year would be enough to fuck up an annual budget. altho if ALL you spend is $67 EACH YEAR, then yeah, that's nothing since that wouldn't even cover something like gas for six months, or a normal amount of alcohol for those who drink (or cigs for those who smoke)
>>11872582>that wouldn't even cover something like gas for six monthBitch that barely even covers one fucking fill up for me, and I drive a goddamn regular car. What planet are you guys from? I swear you all act like you don't pay for anything outside of toys with the kind of things you say here. It costs me like at least $60 every two weeks to drive my car. What reality are you from where you think $67 covers gas in any meaningful way?
>>11872560I don't know who's talking about what, I was replying to your for-instance about a retired boomer who doesn't have disposable incomewhich when cross-referenced with regular and niche internet usage probably isn't a very significant amount of people vs. those who do have disposable incomebut in such an unlikely case, again, that poor old person shouldn't be spending any amount of money on toys, realistically
>>11872588The implication is if you're retired, you have disposable income. The boomers that don't have disposable income don't retire and work as Walmart greeters or grocery store cashiers until they die.
>>11872591>The implication is if you're retired, you have disposable income. The boomers that don't have disposable income don't retire and work as Walmart greeters or grocery store cashiers until they die.yesso the example of a retiree who is "stressing over their income" as was stated do not exist in such numbers that they should even be consideredbut, the post I replied was considering this hypothetical elderly toy collector living on the razor's edge of their social security checks, and for the third time, that persona, be they real, should not be spending money on toys
>>11872591>>11872594You guys do not really understand retirement in America, do you? Plenty of retirees are living on the bare minimum because social security does not really provide that much and many Americans put off contributing to retirement funds until its too late, its a very common occurrence. And Walmart greeters get paid in dog treats. That said I am skeptical that many them are collecting action figures to have this kind of quandary.
>>11872594There's no retiree stressing over spending less than $100 on toys over the course of a year. Honestly, NO ONE should be stressing over spending $100 over the course of a year. Seriously, are you from a shit hole country or something or are you just literally a twelve year old because you're acting like $200-$300 is a lot of money. It's not, especially today.
>>11872601I never argued that that was a lot of moneyI argued specifically in response to someone talking about a retiree who must watch their incomestop being mad about nothing
>>11872604Shut up retard, you're the one arguing literally nothing.
>>11872605>"actually I would say a retiree would be MORE careful with their money!" >(they aren't, typically)
>>11872606Again, you're arguing about nothing. My original contention is that no one should be worrying about sub $100 a year in toys. You're the one who had to come in huffing his own farts "um ACHUALLY I would say retirees should be more careful with their money". Congratulations fuck nuggets, no one ever claimed otherwise, fuck off already.
>>11872609>>11872609>You're the one who had to come in huffing his own farts "um ACHUALLY I would say retirees should be more careful with their money"what in the fucking fuck are you talking about?I didn't say, I responded to someone who didWhich I have stated like four timesyou're a fucking angry retard
>>11872601>NO ONE should be stressing over spending $100 over the course of a year.No one should, but many are. Admit it, anon, you have never been poor, so why are you pretending you can even assume what being poor is like? $100 buys 50 Jr. Cheeseburgers from Wendy's. That's 50 meals for someone in poverty. Skipping 50 meals over the course of a year is a big deal. So yes, to someone who is living in poverty $100 can make a difference between eating 50 meals that year or skipping 50 meals. So buying FartyTodds for $35 each would be quite a sacrifice for them. They can't eat a plastic Jim Gordon.
>>11872610Yeah, you responded to me. Saying that retirees, and by extension, fucking everyone else, shouldn't be stressing over $67 a year. And then I responded a few posts down from yours calling you guys retarded for thinking $200 is a lot of money.
>>11872613>Saying that retirees, and by extension, fucking everyone else, shouldn't be stressing over $67 a year. No, faggot.Someone ELSE said>Actually, retirees would stress more, because they are on a fixed income! And I (me, not the other person, but me) replied to that post (made by that other person, not me) saying>Then that person would be retarded to compulsively buy McFarlane figuresAgain this ^ was my post, the one made by meThen someone else (you, perhaps? but certainly not me, myself) replied to that post (made my me, about the compulsive buying) saying >it's not that much money, stop whiningBut in this case, of a person on a fixed income, it very well could be a significant amount of money, and regardless that was not my contention in the first place, my point was that someone who was in fact stressing over their monthly budget should simply not be buying toys at all
>>11872612Am I supposed to feel sorry for someone who's apparently living in poverty and stressing about spending money on frivolous things like toys? Because I don't. Yeah it sucks if someone is struggling to pay their bills but 99% of these people are people that put themselves into these situations of their own accord by being unable to control their own spending. Someone in poverty should not being in the market for buying collectibles for themselves. I'm sorry, they just shouldn't be. And I know you're being factious and don't actually believe this, but holy shit, it's embarrassing the way some of you act.
>>11872614If someone is on a fixed income is to the point where $100 makes or breaks them, THEY SHOULDN'T BE BUYING TOYS AND I DON'T FUCKING SYMPATHIZE WITH THEM. Fuck right off you subhumans trying to justify your arguing about fucking nothing.
>>11872616I'm glad you agree with me, but for some reason you still seem to be attributing a statement made by someone else, which I replied to, and subsequently replied to in turn, as a statement I made rather than a statement I replied (negatively) to, which obviously would not the case
>>11872615It's a little crazy to me that some people here think people get into poverty by overspending rather than by being unemployed and unable to get a job.
>>11872624Most often than not people get into massive debt and enter poverty by spending beyond their means while not having a job. It's certainly both, not sure why you think it's unfathomable for someone to buy things they shouldn't be. You should not be spending money on collectible action figures if you're on food stamps. So I don't even count those people.
If Todd didn't ambush my wallet with his preorder drops, does that mean I won? That I am free of Todd's spell?
>>11872666This doesn't look like Ben Affleck but he looks pretty cute. Todd has been churning out some really handsome male headsculps as of late specifically Blackhawk. Unfortunately the same can't be said for his female headsculps
>>11872386>>11872501What mental illness is this called? This isn't directed at either of you but why do I skip Mafex figures because they're $100 a pop but I don't even bat an eye buying 3 or 4 Mcfarlanes to the point I have well over 100?The reason I got into Mcfarlanes originally was because they were relatively cheap and looked nice on a shelf. I skipped Mafex because they're too expensive to justify slapping down $100 for each figure. But if I had collected Mafex from the start I'd probably own every DC fig by now and it would have totalled to less than half for what I payed for all my Mcfarlane figs.
>>11872670Because you subconsciously value quantity over quality. Many such cases.
>>11872676Yeah that's probably it. If given the choice to buy 1 nice superman fig or 3 okay superman figs I usually go with the 3 superman figs.To be fair the amount of reissues mafex does is annoying as fuck, if I had bought what I thought was the best Superman fig on the market I'd be really pissed off if a year later they rerelease the same fig but with a better pain job and joints.
>>11872670>they're $100 a popSure, but when you buy a Mafex (or other higher tier import figures) you should look at it like >This Harley Quinn figure won't be outclassed by anything in probably 10 years, and I no longer need to "keep up" with the various incrementally better (or worse?) domestic releasesThat's how I think of it, at least, but more often with the Marvel characters Mafex does, and Hasbro for example just hasn't done a good classic Punisher EVER in the 15+ years they've been in charge of Marvel Legends, and I got the Mafex a few weeks ago so the 20/25 dollars I didn't spend chasing slightly better but still unsatisfactory Punisher figures over the years I spent on the MafexAnd that's without getting into how some of the "mass market" domestic capeslop figures become instant scalper bait and themselves climb up to or near 100 dollars on the aftermarket You could spend that much on the Tobey Spider-Man Marvel Legend, or you could get the Mafex version that's just better in every way and costs the same these days
>>11872678The thing is, due to price increases, the mafex reissues cost more, so generally it's not so bad that a reissue might have slightly better paint. I certainly wouldn't rebuy any mafex. Haven't heard about better joints though but I really am against rebuying molds that are that expensive so I'm not sure even joints could make me rebuy.

>>11872587>you voted for thisSister, it's not my fault you can't work from home, and not my fault everything you want to visit or need to shop at or whatever it is you are wasting your gasoline on, requires you to spend some $1400 of your pre-tax income on that fuel.On the other hand, my heat and AC bill and general utility bills, including water and garbage, are likely higher than yours.tl;dr I'm not your enemy, don't think I am and take your eyes off the ball
>>11872732How little do you leave your home anon? Fuckin shut in NEET over here telling me it's outrageous that I spend $120 a month on gas when that's actually pretty fuckin cheap compared to most people. And bragging that your utilities are more expensive isn't the own you think it is. The way some of you act I swear you're not fucking real.
There are people who will claim the over priced figures on the right are better.
