These mtg figures got their msrp raised to 46.99 awhile after they came out didn't they? Any hope this wave will still be 39.99?
>>11875367I don't recall that. I only got battle damaged Spidey and Man Wolf and they were discounted. Hell, Target accidentally sent me two Spidey's when I ordered him so really, it was even cheaper than the discounted price I paid.

Another dookey release.
Just doin some hand poses
>>11875437Why doesn't Marvel just hire Anthony already???!
>>11875437lol who even cares? You can't stop me from having fun with my toys.
>>11875437I thought it was pretty good. Anthony must not read comics.
>>11875452its anthony. what does he even like?
>>11875466The smell of his own farts
>>11875452>single elbows> lack of actual range in the arms and legs>waist on a swivel>shoulders placed way too low on frame>no toe jointsThe list can go on. Just another sloppy lame “action” figure.
>>11875449Lemme ask you somethin: Why you think anybody cares you having fun with your toys? Why can't you just have fun with your toys in peace? Huh? You out here posting your photos, letting everybody know, like you got something to prove.
>>11875472I like waist swivel. Anyone who prefers the diaphram ball joint is a LARPer. Single joint elbows can be preferable as long as they’re able to reach an acute angle past 90 degrees.
>>11875472>It doesn't have what I say is good articulation so it HAS to be bad Holy shit get over yourself.
>>11875484>why yes I do enjoy limited articulation for my action figuresWell the whole legends community are a bunch of retards so I guess this makes sense.
I do not need Doom 2099 for my collection. Do YOU?
>>11875560My Marvel Legends Most Wanted Figures Wishlist is pretty small, and Doom 2099 ain't on it.
>>11875472Settle down Frank.>>11875472>single elbowsDouble elbows wouldn't really work with arms that thick.>lack of actual range in the arms and legsI dunno what you're talking about but I'm able to get the figure into pretty much any pose I need him to, except for the thunderclap which, I don't even really remember the Prof using. I'm able to recreate the iconic cover, so that's good enough for me imo.>>waist on a swivelI don't get why some of you make this a big deal. >>shoulders placed way too low on frameThey do this to accommodate the butterfly joint. They could switch to the ball and cap method that they've started doing with figures like Astonishing Colossus but that doesn't quite get the same range as butterflies. >>no toe jointsProbably so nothing would interfere with the bunny slippers. They are on there pretty snug. Really it just sounds like you're coming up with things to bitch about for the sake of it. Your opinions aren't objective fact anon, just because you don't like something doesn't mean everyone else has to.
>>11875560I would have gotten it if it weren't such a sloppy figure. shit articulation and a hardshell cape no thanks.
>>11875560I've wanted him for years, I already put in my order.
>>11875560I would certainly like him for my collection but at the same time I don't need him and I'm certainly not willing to pay the MtG tax solely on the fact I'm a YGO player and I refuse to give Tranny the Gathering my money.
>>11875611>> They could switch to the ball and cap method that they've started doing with figures like Astonishing Colossus but that doesn't quite get the same range as butterflies.weird, jada uses these but have plenty of range. This figure can be so much better and that's fact. Nothing you said is valid. Double elbows wouldn't work arms that thick? have you seen storm's zangief? or any of their other offerings that are big beefy characters? You do know they exist right? Mety toyz orcs? You're just a faggot hasblo retard.
>>11875552Yes, actually. I'll take any 2099 figures that get made (waiting for Hulk to go on sale though).
>>11875626Shock you, consoomer trash
>>11875619>weird, jada uses these but have plenty of range. They don't get quite as much forward and back range as most figures, it's pretty close and the ability to move the shoulders up and down more than makes up for it, but it's still slightly less, unless it's on the front of the Hulk, since Hasbro didn't want to cut into his pecs to give it decent forward range, but other figures that have more regular sized cuts get more range. >Double elbows wouldn't work arms that thick? have you seen storm's zangiefYou mean the figure that has the elbows with the same range of motion as Hulks? Not really a good argument, I personally don't care if the joint is single or double if it's getting essentially the same range of motion either way.
>>11875628>>11875619About the same range. Not anything significantly different at the very least.
>>11875619I just realized I posted the older figure from years ago. Not fair, I know. The new one isn't any better though lmao.
>>11875484>I like waist swivel. >>11875484Some of us like to pose our figures.
>>11875642Ah yes, because I need all my figures to be able to curl up into a ball like Samus. You guys are such retards.
>>11875642ML collectors don't need to pose, stupid. It's all about having Glup Shitto (never read the book he's from but recently "discovered" him in an X-Men summary youtube video) in a neutral pose with clenched fists.
So predictable, collectors. So predictable. Just like the Savage Land pack before it.
>>11875644Yes.
>>11875651coomers have spoken againjust like with emma frost 97 and dafne keen

>>11875659>not owning bothLol. To be fair though, I didn't actually pay for the Maximum Deadpool, I got him as a gift last Christmas.
>>11875670I'm too poor to own both. That ML is 1/4 of another Yamaguchi I could get instead.
>>11875673Fair. I never had any actual intention of getting the Maximum, my brother just knew I collect MLs and like Deadpool. Too bad AY hasn't done any Marvel stuff lately. Although they're getting me with the DC and Metal Gear stuff.
>>11875667she's whiter than you
>>11875659Show me a hulk doing this.
Marvel Legends Immortal Hulk when?
>>11875683>SO BIG
>>11875683I'm personally more interested in a Worldbreaker Hulk from World War Hulk. We need a figure of that. This can just be a new head sculpt on any of the existing hulks.
Immortal Hulk is also a good choice for Marvel Legends.
>>11875680No, I am sure you can find crouching/landing Hulk pics yourself.
>>11875704>doesn't post Immortal Hulk
>>11875638Lmao this is what the anti Legends shtbags are hyping up? Am I supposed to be impressed with this?
>>11875638This figure better be $40 tops
>>11875380>>11875367Big bad's pre-order notification has them for $39.99. I don't want any of them but hope that unmasked cap head shows up on something else in the same way Hand Pym and Commander Rogers could have been related.
>>11875638its just difficult to make thick figures articulate that well unless you do collapsing panels, and then you run the risk of some weird ass bandai overengineering that looks like shit
>>11875466TRT and complaining
>>11875560He's cool but I'm fine with my only 2099 figure being Spider-Man. This shit is too expensive to get into the weeds with these alternate rosters. Only thing I'd probably break on is Bloodhawk though because the original figure was one of my favorite toys as a kid. I wasn't even reading X-Men 2099 back then to know a damn thing about him, I just got him because he looked badass.
>>11875764Yeah not sure why wave 1 went up in price to 46.99 on Pulse later. I think they are going to have a rough time moving them at that high a price unless they're sexy Sue Storms
>>11875724Ooops, I meant to type Infernal Hulk
>>11875628>>11875629>>11875638Lmao this sure shut that faggot up.
>>11875807Anthony will still rate any Storm figure higher. Storm is better but they have their issues, a major one being the weird QC
What the fuck is Doom 2099's deal? Doombot? Doom's brain in a robot? Clone? Or Doom's grandson?
>>11875611>>>no toe jointsThey're nice but how many people leave their toys in toe bent poses when it's time to place them on the shelf for like three months until you feel like messing with it again
>>11875828Why would you ask here when you can just Google it?
>>11875828Doom 2099 is a universe hopping Doom ala Rick Sanchez. He came from a universe where Reed managed to keep Doom from doing the experiment that disfigured him so his face never got fucked up. While fucking around with his time machine this Doom found how to travel the multiverse and ended up in the 2099 universe, where he found Latvervia under the control of an evil cyborg who disfigured Doom's face and left him to die. But a bunch of gypsy cyberpunks nursed Doom back to health and helped him build a new set of armor. Most of the run is Doom in a William Gibson cyberpunk novel... Then Warren Ellis took over and ditched all the cyberpunk stuff and wrote him like regular Doom except he manages to conquer America.
>>11875832Most nerds stopped reading Doom 2099 after the first couple of issues or only read the last couple of issues from the Ellis run. As such, it's not well documented online who exactly Doom 2099 really was, especially since Orlando, Spencer, etc who writes modern day 2099 stuff wrote him under the debunked fanon that Doom 2099 was the real Doom slumming around in the future when he and Reed were presumed dead
>>11875747Anon you need to realize that faggot doesn't even have any figures of his own, he just likes to try and start shit between brands because he has no life.
>>11875484>I like waist swivelIsrael-coded post
>>11875829why not take this to the extreme and just buy a statue? I mean, you're just gonna leave it on the shelf in one pose so why bother with articulation at all? You're starting to sound like McFarlane fanboys. Just buy a statue
>>11874940Firestar comes to mind because that's needed to complete Maximum Carnage, and they haven't thrown us any figures to do that lately.
I want to collect more Spider-Man (series) figures, but all of his villains are in this grey area where they’re like 4-5 years old so they’re somewhat antiquated with pins and weird faces, and have inaccuracies. But they’re also extremely expensive, if I wanted to get a basic Vulture figure it’s $70. They need to do a six pack with the updated Sinister Six. Or 3 two packs, or something.
>>11875638This is why single jointed elbows are good btw. Star Wars Black Series has great single jointed elbows.
Should I get Maximum Hulk or wait?
Some more Broodverine. Fun figure, really love how wide the jaw can open.
>>11875934Funny, I was thinking how nice double-jointed elbows and properly-implemented ball/swivel wrists would be as I was hacking on a Remnant Snowtrooper, trying to get some better-than-minimal functionality out of the bastard.
>>11875934>this is why single jointed elbows are good. because...fat character arms can't bend more than 90 on double jointed elbowswhat kinda retard logic is this? dont get me wrong, single joint can achieve more than 90 even on thin characters, rarely a complete fold but it just looks ugly as can be seen on newer mafexes. absolutely retarded design.
>>11876040boys fans deserve to sufferbut if mafex ever made firecracker, I'd buy her
>>11876040Honestly, what does it matter what type of joint it is if they're going to give similar ranges of motion. Sure, double jointed works with thinner characters but the Zangief example posted earlier shows that double elbows on thicker characters get about the same range as a single jointed elbow. So if that's the case, I'd prefer single elbows since it breaks up the sculpt less. I don't think that figure looks bad. In fact for bare arms and legs I prefer single joints. Double jointed knees on bare legs looks so bad. Look at the ML Gwenpool for any further explanation. So, I can see why Mafex is doing single elbows on its short sleeved characters.
>>11876054the upcoming moon knight has the same style joint, even peacemaker and robin. iceman seemed to have normal joints>>11876062its like you didnt even bother reading. the issue with singe joint elbows in my post was that it looks fucking ugly. if you looked at zangief's elbow >>11875638 here it actually looks like a fucking elbow that has bones where was with hulk >>11875629 the elbow protrudes awkwardly like a chicken wing or with new mafexes >>11876040 looks like complete dogshit
>>11876071The Hulk yeah I'll give you but the Mafex Boys fig looks fine. I have Tim Drake Robin that uses the same system and my only gripe is it doesn't get the full range double elbows should, but it looks a lot better than a double elbows on bare skin. Double joints on bare skin will never look good to me and there's nothing you can do to convince me otherwise unless you think it's natural for your knee to look like a knee pad.
>>1187566097 Emma lays dead to a sent on my shelf her arms are ass but I needed an Emma.
>>11875997I didn't even realize his jaw opened until I got him. He did turn out to be a pretty good fig.
>>11875472>no toe jointsI've never understood the obsession with toe joints, its probably one of the least necessary POA out there. More people should be concerned about decent ankle articulation, thats the POA thats actually going to get your figure into solid poses without the need for a stand. I have so many figures that just have to stand in a neutral pose because they cant support a dynamic pose from gimped ankle range.
>>11876150you CAN have both toe and ankle joint you know? it doesnt cost figure companies much at all to implement toe joints. not having them is retarded and yes, ankle swivel is more important and hasbro seems to be the only major company retarded enough to omit it, so much so to the point that retarded ML collectors think that boot cuts are the normal standard verison of these ankle swivels when in reality it's hasbro's retarded workaround.
>>11876159actually, it being a separate part that needs to be molded on it's own is probably the biggest cost factor into a figure you can have.
>>11876159but whats the POINT of having a toe joint on a figure? I've never had my overall experience with a toy impacted by it having or not having a toe joint. I just don't understand why its such a common talking point when I never see anyone actually actively using toe joints or celebrating toe joints. It seems like a non-issue when so many other aspects of a figure's engineering are much more crucial to enjoying a toy.
>>11876161they're molded on runners and cut off. you really only need to design this in the fucking 3d software. SHF can do it, Mafex can do it, Revoltech can do it, Mess toys can do it, Jada can do it, Storm can do it, hell even Blokees's non-model kit figures can do it. This is an "issue" only unique to a company from 15 years ago which is what hasbro is since they cant stop reusing molds>>11876167the point is that the toe bends. what's the point of having articulation at all? go buy a fucking statue lmao>celebrating toe jointslol this is only something that ML fanboys do because getting a toe joint is so rare its worth celebrating. its the bare minimum for other more competent companies though.
>>11876171>if you don't care about toe joints you might as well buy a statue.Listen to this strawman of an argument. Toe articulation isn't the be all end all of action figures so calm the fuck down.
>>11876171>the point is that the toe bends. what's the point of having articulation at all?nigga I don't use any of the toe-joints on any of my figures that have them
>>11876071You’ve got things totally backwards, that Zangief’s elbow totally vanishes as his arm bends like a curly fry. Meanwhile, A-Train’s single jointed elbow actually maintains a single pointed sharp “elbow” like the way real anatomy works.
>>11876150>>11876167It just helps a lot of poses look more natural. Or to create a point to balance the figure’s second foot on, if their leg is extending at an angle.
Niggas neda chek 209 hulk. og nigga its tite.
Tokon wants AKA we can't escape Spider-Man so let us have a wave without deadpools and wolverines plus Magik isn't distinct enough from her comic look so Genki Danger should get a figure.
>>11876337I'll take Carnage. Thanks
>>11875953His chest is at risk of tearing. I would wait for a better Hulk unless you absolutely need one of the headsculpts he has
>>11875437Does this asshole ever give anything a positive review?
>>11876349Storm but that's because they pay him
>>11876167There are definitely some poses that look awkward without them with the character just stepping with their flat foot totally on its side rather than having the front still on the ground. It really depends on how realistic and 1:1 you want your poses to be.
>>11876337swap shuri with goblin
>>11875953Of all the Maximum releases so far, he is definitely the weakest imo. Like the other anon said, I'm really not sure how well that chest piece is going to hold up in the long run. And then there's the fact it's essentially just the same as the other Hulks we've gotten except for the chest gimmick. The accessories are fine but I feel like he could've used more than just the missile. Then the heads, the heads are all just various degrees of bad, and Hasbro wasn't even nice enough to let him have the same neck peg as the other Hulks, making head swaps difficult. He's not worth it imo, and I got him for like $45 or $40, something like that. I still use the 80th Anniversary Hulk as my main display Hulk with the rest of my classic Avengers, I just have Maximum hang out with the more modern versions of these guys.
>>11876349yes, often to bad figures like McFarlanes as well
>>11876337All I want is a decent Peni figure
>>11876337Who should make Tokon figures? Hasbro, Blokees, SHF, Mafex or Revoltech?
>>11876348>>11876397Thanks. All the Hulks are super expensive now. It’s really hard to make a decision. I hope they make a Gamerverse Hulk soon. The Maximum’s chest wearing out seems like a reason not to invest, but it comes with nice accessories too.
>>11876444Hasbro and Blokees are the most likely to try it, with Bandai being a distant third. Definitely outside of Medicom's wheelhouse.
>>11876194>i dont use>inobody here cares about you actually>>11876192how is that a strawman? what argument did I set up and fell down? fucking retard lmao
>>11876467Hasbro should be banned from making any Tokon figures. They're gonna sculpt a new body in the year of 2027 (hypothetically) and still give it a fucking waist swivel lel
>>11876502You're not going to convince anyone to stop liking Marvel Legends and no one cares about your personal opinion. So shut up.
>>11876499correction, nobody cares about your spaz outmultiple people generally agree with meyou don't want to make this a numbers game, you already did yourself a disservice focusing on an irrelevant joint

>>11876517>toe joints make or break a figure!no
>>11876397I was tempted for him but man, I just don't like how they sculpted the heads, which is baffling since they're also based on some of my favorite Hulk art ever.
>>11876518nobody said that lol. i dont know if youre the ankle swivel anon but if you are, i agreed with you that toe joints are less important than ankle swivel but having both is standard and the only company that doesnt have it hasbro and the only people that treat it like the second coming of christ are legends fanboys
Holy fuck xmen is doa lol
I always thought that the MCU wasted Ultron
>>11876587Well spader is doing the voice but only in 2 of the 8 eps so he's probably still wasted

>>11876742Obsession was finished and shopped around for years before it got a wide release.I just think it speaks to a lack of vision, Disney has recurring problem with casting actors because they were trending at the moment, and ultimately it just hurts a project.Outside of Pedro Pascal, it's happened with every Game of Thrones actor they shoved into their projects.
>>11876736This cast screams The CW, it's gonna be a disaster.
>>11876736The guy they got for Xavier is barely 40 and still looks 30. I get that they want to cast young so that they can keep these people for years but at least try to get someone who looks like a professor.
>>11876745Yeah the show turned into a mess real fast. Also holy shit did the team get bloated. Why the fuck is Polaris even there?
>>11876749>shopped around for years before it got a wide releaseNo
>>11876717how is that me saying it's a make or break. thats me telling you to buy a statue if you think more articulation is somehow a bad thing just because hasbro doesn't do a point of articulation. still couldnt find anyone that said toe joint were a make or break apart your own words huh? lel
>>11876790>dude if this hulk figure doesn't have a toe joint (that neither you or I would ever use) you might as well (feminine hyperbole) get a statue

>>11876894why are you getting mad about this

>>11876898It's known that Bandai doesn't ever put there A teams on Marvel, so this shouldn't come as that much of a shock. SHF is the Marvel Legends of imports. It's not like it was a Dragon Ball or Kamen Rider figure, those IPs are reserved for the A teams.
>>11876850>>11876898Yeah, while Anthony is often retarded, this Wolverine has the shit arm hair and the stupid claws, when the ML is a competitive alternative you know you fucked up.

>>11877370>>11877384The company wars stuff is bullshit. But it’s funny Blokees gets so much credit despite not really having a much better value proposition at around the same price, articulation and quality paint/printing. Realistically they’re pretty much on par, no? It comes down to uber-specific qualities per-figure, like Moon Knight having a cloth cape. Which is valid. Maybe if they made some sexier characters Marvel Legends wouldn’t make it’d be an advantage.
>>11877385That costs 19.99. You know, what Marvel Legends should cost.
>>11877395The articulation is clearly better than MLs. MLs only have hinge wrists, one point at the head typically, while this has articulation at the head and neck. This has toe hinges, MLs don't except for rare cases, usually costing more. They also just have waist cuts rather than ball hinges at the waist, and some female MLs only have one torso joint. Where blokees actually suffers is in missing paint, the fact you have to build it yourself, and their ABS plastic is much more fragile than MLs so they have to be handled more carefully.

I've been maining him too, his moveset just clicks with me in a way none of the other characters have so far. Though I'm playing around with Magneto too now that I've gotten somewhat comfortable with the basic mechanics of the game and he's fun too, though he does sort of feel like Doom Lite to me due to also being a zoner.I don't have a Doom figure in my collection currently, but everyone says Mezco Doom is awesome. I'm holding out for some kind of MvC Doom. I love Victor, but not to the point where I'm willing to pay nearly 200 dollars for a figure that falls a little outside the purview of what I collect. And I hope we got some Tokon figures eventually, but who knows? I think the designs kick the shit out of Rivals, but fighting games are always going to be much more niche in popularity than a free to play hero shooter.>>11878229Tokon is basically a UMVC3 that isn't miserable to play. And that's always the struggle, though Tokon is maybe the most new player friendly fighting game I've ever played due to its excellent tutorials and giving everyone auto combo moves. I'm pretty garbage at most fighting games and I'm not getting steam rolled nearly as much as I thought I would. And if you hate the default designs, Steve and Tony have amazing classic skins (though they are unfortunately locked to the ultimate edition).

I was just talking about how I want a figure of that version of Hulk. I may grab this 6inch+ version if it's not too pricey.
>>11878532Oh wait lmao, these are like $150-$200. I'll pass, I don't like Hulk enough to pay those prices. They do look really good though, definitely better than the Maximum Hulk, but for three times the price, I certainly would hope so lol.
>>11878377That highly effective and state of the art (in 1990) Pinned Technology
>>11878531>soldiers*soldier
I don't care what anyone says, the 80th Hulk from the 2 pack with first appearance Wolverine is still the best ML Hulk they've done. The retro carded one had the dopey looking Paul Harding headsculpt that looks bad imo and Maximum is Maximum. It's criminal how there isn't more figures of just a generic looking Hulk.
Retro carded Mysterio is getting reissued, if anyone wants that particular color scheme.
>>11878570Yeah I’ve been wracking my brain trying to decide which Hulk to get and this seems like the move. The effects that come with the Maximum are really awesome at least so I’m sure it’d be enjoyable, but the inconsistent heads and chest potentially becoming damaged sway me away from it.
>>11878377They actually really bother me since I consider pinless a straight upgrade with no downsides. Even customizers rarely ever need to have interchangeable forearms and biceps. It makes the figure so much less cheap looking. Especially figured like Spider-Man where the red pin would always stick out under his blue biceps. It really makes me sore whenever a new figure i want has pins because it just means it’s not definitive.
>>11878374I really hated how they changed the gameplay in MVC3 from 2, I could never get into it. Infinite had better gameplay, even.
>>11878570Great looking Hulk. I don't have a Hulk yet either, but Professor Hulk basically confirmed I'll get a Marvel vs Capcom Hulk if I wait long enough, so I'm holding out for that. >>11878606I think 3 was the biggest one, really popular in it’s time and a huge fanbase. It’s not bad at all but they totally reimagined the controls and I could never get into it after having the original control scheme burned into my brain so much. It went from a 6 button fighter like Street Fighter in Marvel VS Capcom 1, to a 4 button fighter in 2, to only having 3 attack buttons and a dedicated launch button in 3. Then back to 6 buttons in Infinite, more control over what move you pull off IMO. I still would have liked to see a new MVC, but Tokon seems quality. Just have to wait for a cheap ass sale.
>>11878601>Infinite could have been great if it didn't look like shit and was allowed to have the X-Men in the game.I waited in line for the midnight release of Infinite, guy in front of me says he’s stoked to play Wolverine, I had to tell him wasn’t in it and he walked out pissed off without buying it. Those were dark times indeed. So glad we have the X-Men back, just crazy it took an ethically questionable multi billion dollar merger.
