It's very precise so even making a link and cloning around a path is not as straightforward as it seems. I ended up tweaking the track pitch down to 1/100 of a mm to get it close to right.

Can't find anything else to do with the anti-Chinese peasant "armored" vehicle, so I guess it's done. Got kinda delayed with last-minute changes. The toilet-seat was originally painted white, but after finding new information, I decided to repaint the hatches khaki. This was the most likely color, but in reality, who knows. I don't trust the main camouflage colors either. Could have been these, could have been something else.

I constantly kept breaking the original MG mount off, so last minute I made a new one out of brass wire. The unpainted copper antenna is probably accurate, but the color of the ceramic insulation that connects it to the turret probably isn't. Also I have no idea what that thing is I had to paint green, yellow, and red. Either it's a convoy light (since it's the same three colors as the convoy light in the rear), or some sort of signaling semaphore light, since other tanks may have not had a radio.
Rear. See same-colored lights in what is obviously a convoy light system.
Pioneer tools and tank jack. I'm thinking about sticking a flag-pole into the hole in the jack with the rising-sun flag (seen photos of it being done irl), but have no idea how to make realistic flags. Ideas?
Gramps took its place next to the young buck. I think I have improved some over the past two years, mostly by no longer desaturating the shit out of the camouflage pattern with dust effects.

Also Revell and Academy are not exactly brands that come to mind when the word "accuracy" and "quality" are thrown around. Do not get me wrong, there are plenty of inaccurate kits out there, but some brands (like Wingnut Wings, Copper State Models, et al.) tend to take their research really seriously, to the point that I would be willing to bet on near perfect accuracy. Actually, I use Wingnut Wings, Copper State Models and some Special Hobby manuals for some of my own research.

Finished BF-109G14 in 1/48 scale in the colors of 10./JG4. Not really visible in the pictures but the fucking instrument panel fell off inside the plane while I was painting and I will make no effort to fix that, it's impossible to do anything about without a major teardown. Looks quite nice though, maybe overdid the weathering a bit, especially the prop blades I think was too much

The F-RSIN Building experience:Naturally, I need to sand the filler down, but there is nowhere on this model where filling is not needed. There are some mold defects on the surface too, but they sand down quite easily. I do not even know if this will turn out alright, but it is the hand that I am dealt with. Wish me luck bros.

Additionally there are missing ports in the undercarriage (red circle) and nose (black circle) for a Dan Air London example (no lights on this Safe Air example). Lastly the Nose hinges (green box) are the wrong size and shape, so more sanding is needed.Tomorrow I will take pictures of the flash which seemingly has "encrusted" itself on part of one horizontal stabilizer halve, as well as on the propellers and undercarriage.I do not think that it is feasible to finish this by October, even if I have both wings and the fuselage glued, it might be a while until they are all mated.

Made a big fucking mistake and repainted/reclearcoated it after I was unhappy with a couple of minor dust grains caught in there and proceeded to make the whole thing orange peel considerably on the second attempt. So I'm going fuck it and finishing it as it is and learning for the next build

Finished up the R390. Or well it still needs to be cleaned up from my disgusting fingerprints left all over so no photo studio session yet. Really good model kit but the decals were disintegrating, I'm shocked it turned out as well as it did. Also a recommendation for my fellow acrylic clear coat guys, I bought Mr. Top Coat (B-501) spray can for this and it kicks ass. Definitely better than any airbrushable acrylic gloss I've tried, didn't stink up the spray booth noticeably, dries very fast for a spray can and the result would have been better if I didn't repaint it like a retard and made it even worse with small dust grains. I'll post a couple of better shots when it's cleaned up and in the photo booth but that'll probably not be any time soon.... also second Japan group build entry maybe?

Can AK's Neutral Earth or Neutral rough terrain acrylic paste when mixed with a specific green (I'm thinking Russian green at the moment) create a convincing "thicker moss" effect when carefully applied on scale model ruined buildings? I've had thoughts of making overgrown urban ruins. I haven't found any images of this being done. I plan to use very heavily thinned moss colored green paint for less dense moss effects.

I started on one of the special Ace Combat kits I own, the idolmaster liveried Mirage 2000. I seriously cannot comprehend why the garbage Italeri kit was reboxed by Hasegawa, it is so fucking bad. The fit has required a ton of filling (much more on the underside than visible here) and the worst part of this is that apparently the little cockpit part that covers the HUD fits so poorly it made contact with the canopy and it nicely led the Tamiya cement up to destroy it. Honestly the decal work on this is the whole point but at this rate I'm thinking about using this to paint something else and then keeping the decals for a better kit like Modelsvits Mirage 2000. Seems a gross waste of the funky idolmaster livery to have such a shit canvas anyway. Has anyone built Hellers and Modelsvits 2000s? Are they alright? It has to be 1:72

I got theseHave to up the contrast really high because the black plastic. From the 100 yen and budget toy maker Bell, the 1/350 coin size front line. 4 tank, 1 wall, 2 sandbag walls, 2 vehicle stoppers (the triangle thingies), 2 oil barrel piles and 2 ammo crates all in a plate. Nice little set for miniature. If you visit their website they even have image files that you can printout that include either 1/44 or 1/350 scales soliders along with 1/350 trees and ground. I think I will put these next to the 1/144 army men from Yamada chemical.
Takom is releasing the M577, which is great, because the old Tamiya is close to extinct in the wild. I like this big box, because it's a flat canvas for showing off interesting camos like Dual-Tex, or showing off weathering work. Might get it and paint it Dual-Tex.

Trying to get the best possible out of this rather poor model kit has been pretty fun. Designed and printed a little stand for it in flying condition and experimented a bit with my cricut masking technique on even smaller scales. Just needs a bit of panel liner to be done I think. tl;dr don't buy a kit that uses the FUCKASS 1/72 Italeri Mirage kit
