>>11883460I get that he's a lifter, but why are his arms three times longer than any other hutt's?
>>11883465Yeah you are right, that doesn't look like her. One of the Marvel Legends Electra figures has a face that is fits her better. Also I'm brainstorming a Guri custom figure next, but that'll be a bit harder (and probably more expensive).Anyone here make any custom Star Wars figures before?
>>11883468I was actually considering what it would take to make a Jan Ors custom recently, so I’ll mention some things I found. First of all, the Endor Leia with her poncho removed is probably the closest to Jan Ors’ torso, it’s got one of those shirts with the same type of sleeves as Jan Ors. Although Jan has a popped collar and some extra details like a walkie-talkie. Also, Jan has long sleeves while Leia’s are rolled up. But long sleeved forearms could likely be swapped into the Endor Leia biceps. Also, Chewbacca from Solo comes with the best goggles for a Jan Ors figure since Tech’s from Bad Batch’s is too big and specific. I feel like there must be a good, simple realistic brunette headsculpt with a ponytail from one of Hasbro’s photoreal lines between the MCU, Star Wars and Power Rangers. But I haven’t found the perfect Jan Ors head substitute yet.
Where's that faggot that claimed TVC still had good paint?Holy shit this line has fallen into the gutter. $20 for this shit. Sculpt isn't wven as sharp as it should be.
>>11883503Where have you seen the new wave pop up? Store and state, plz.
>Calm down, son. It was just a prank.
>>11883460>supposed Star Wars fans >fake Star Wars op instead of this beautyThe state of Star Wars “fans”
>>11883697>sloparts hipsoof
>>11883697I’m getting him but have they shown off any of the other bounty hunters?
>>11883701They released 4LOM and a couple of excellent OT Bobas.
>>11883697there's really nothing wrong with black series Bossk and that dudes gonna be too short
>>11883697They need to do IG-88 already, he’s the one who desperately needs a new figure
>>11883697Looks like total shit
>>11883703oh right I actually completely forgot they released 4LOM, I guess we can expect 1 of them every couple years then…
>>11883467The Chad warrior Hutts have long and strong arms. The lazy, fat Hutts get tiny ones that only need to reach their mouths in order to eat.
>>11883738Next should be IG 88 since that’ll be a decent amount of reuse.
>>11883460Rotta is based, I don't care what anyone says.
>>11883697>MAFEX has more ESB figures than SHF
>>11883697This would have been cool 6 or 7 years ago but now I just don't really care enough to pay $120 for him. The BS is good enough to recreate the ESB scene which is all I needed him for. It's also silly that they gave him two rifles just to have the sling in a different pose instead of making a functioning sling with a wire in it.
>>11883714tbs bossk has static armsyou can have him in one pose and that's ithe looks decent but that's pretty shit for a figure
>>1188402287 in japan. I buy them there and get like 20 items shipped at once. Cheaper in the long run.
1/12 twi'lek status:released figures: hera, aayla, devon, bib, mission1 green, 1 pink, 1 tan, 2 bluemissing major twi'leks: darth talon, orn free taa, oolamissing minor twi'leks: filoni's glups (numa, cham, etc), xi'an, vette, some others from games and comics that i'm forgettingtldr: we need more twi'leks
>>11883477Wow, that is really close! I spent a long time looking for the right bodies. Good idea about using Chewbacca too. Have you tried making a custom yourself? Thank you for this!I am not sure about the head either. I went through many GI Joe and Marvel Legends heads, but didn't find any that quite matched strangely enough. Maybe the Kitty Pride ponytail head, pic related, but not sure if that's quite a right match either.
>>11883460Is Mr dipshitty (Stevie) still hiding out from his Instagram because people are doing a mean to him for destroying TVC?Jokes aside moves like that makes it seem like he's feeling guilty.
How come they can't make toys like this or the death trooper zombies?
>>11884293Well tvc is ruined
>>11883697Something looks off. I know he has long arms but still. I think maybe it’s the hips are too low and also the feet look a little small. Price is crazy though I don’t care about Bossk enough to pay that much. And there is a chance Hasbro will redo him one day and it will be much cheaper and maybe even better in some areas.>>11884318What even is this? Looks lame. The OG death troopers would be cool though but they don’t make a lot of figures from books.
>Moff Jerjerrod: We shall double our efforts!>Vader: I hope so, Commander, for your sake. The Emperor is not as forgiving as I am...
>>11883467Your asking questions as if anyone involved stopped even for a second to think about any of that shit. It's all bombastic nonsense and not even the good kind.
>>11884293He fully deactivated his IG. Which is kind crazy to me. The whole thing has pretty much blown over already.
>>11884410And that is why it failed
>>11884428Was it all over the price of the mando slop vehicle because if so lol. Star Wars toy babies will always be screeching and assmad about something and he's endured their wrath for years so I'm surprised this broke him and sent him into hiding. Frankly the instagram babies don't really even deserve interaction with him, it's kind of a privilege having a direct connection to Hasbro to influence products and get behind the scenes details. Steve should remember the likes of those that worship Rian Johnson are barely people and he shouldn't let their words get to him.
>>11884428He has an IG-series droid?
>>11884538Not anymore. It's scrapped. Sold for parts. Some New Republic pilot said he was going to mount the head above his bar.
>>11884428>>11884293Honestly I didn't see anyone being toxic or saying horrible stuff to him what so ever.People had quite well thought out and measured feedback rightfully so on the state of Hasbro and TVC.It feels like there's a lot of gaslighting going on towards the community like that dude in the glasses in the hat saying "LEAVE STEVIE ALONE!" There are even comments saying what is he even talking about they didn't see anything.I think 100% it's obvious his, among others mismanagement of the brand is absolutely part of the reason things are the way they are. The choices are just stupid, like the Tron set. And if there's any truth to leaks about what could have been for a lot of the TVC.Sad reality is ass kissing midwits who are yes men to Vice presidents are what we get in this current year with the state of the world.>>11884522Is Stevie the instagram baby???If you can't handle 50 year old man babies like we see in the FB groups that's a bad sign.
>>11884601>I think 100% it's obvious his, among others mismanagement of the brand is absolutely part of the reason things are the way they are. The choices are just stupid, like the Tron set. And if there's any truth to leaks about what could have been for a lot of the TVC.I mean, look at the ridiculous pricing and what they're giving us as a result: >>11883503Star Wars is a failed brand at this point.
>>11884607yeah never seen a brand so quickly ran into the ground, I don't know if it can ever recover.Seems people below 35 don't even care. There's almost no way a movie so good comes out it saves the brand at this point. Most of the "paint" is now printing.
>>11884601>I didn't see anyone being toxic or saying horrible stuff to him what so ever. People had quite well thought out and measured feedback rightfully so on the state of Hasbro and TVC.Yeah sure thing blueharvestcollector
>>11884619Who? Is that the Miko dude?
>>11884601>And if there's any truth to leaks about what could have been for a lot of the TVC.What rumors are you referring to?
>>11884614I've yet to see a line do more of a poor job pulling kids back in than Star Wars. It's so pitiful.
>>11884626The problem is they catered to the type of man children that created this problem and likely infest Hasbro. Now it's too late kids have moved on Star Wars is cringe.
>>11884628>The problem is they catered to the type of man children that created this problem and likely infest Hasbro. To be fair they've been moving in this direction for a long time. The toy market just isn't what it used to be and the movies and shows haven't helped.
>>11884625They showed off a large Haslab Death Star that would have cost way less than if they do it next year or subsequent years. They did a focus group on the last Haslab and Gunship was polled as being the worst and socialited for $350 with more figures.Y-Wing for $200 with 8 figures was highest voted I believe, they also showed off a U-Wing with Rogue One figures (tubes) who haven't been made.Tron Haslab apparently was way more amazing when focus grouped, were actual vehicles, lights and sound, bendy light up tail. Price even cheaper.Among many others.
>>11884634For sure, but I think 40 plus years prior of toy sales showed they could actually sustain both.Clearly Disney and the contemporary Hasbro staff are at fault.Oh well 3.75 Star Wars had a good run, I'm already basically writing the line off at this point.
>>11884626It feels like the people in charge are like pic related. It really shouldn't be that hard to make Star Wars appealing again. Make a new movie like Rogue One and have it be REALLY GOOD with both a hero and heroine people like with actors and actresses people like, and leave the politics at the door. No trying to relate to the youth or millenials or whatever, no, just make a good movie with a good story, then people will come. Word of mouth and social media will do most of the work for them. Imagine all those social media influencers all saying the latest Star Wars movie was good (and it be true). And for the toys, all they need to do is stop trying to reinvent the wheel for kids. Have the Black Series and VTC for the old goats and have a cheaper line that still looks good and is consistent for the kids. Then keep doing that forever.
Have any of you tried putting the tvc forge helmets on shriekhawks? Was wondering if there was any solution to the balls being loose in the necks as they're a bit smaller than the default ones. Swapping the original balls in was a thought but I think they might be too big for the helmets, perhaps I need to reheat and clamp the neck a bit to tighten it? I've heard wood varnish/polish is good for loose joints so maybe might give a bit of stability here.
>>11885109Heat is for loosening, yeah floor polish works for tightening. I have a small bottle of kiki's which I think is the same thing but they are expensive now. I’ve seen some joint tightening pens but not sure how well those work
>>11884117I have not begun any Jan Ors custom, personally. I recently started a Fordo custom and ran into a wall when I had to order custom parts off Etsy since shipping adds up like crazy, I’m taking a break from buying stuff for now.
When the fuck are we going to get another OT TVC Threepio?
>>11885961There was one rumored not sure what happened. Maybe next year for the 50th
In spite of the failures of TVC I do like that they've been doing annual themes that let them knock out several characters from a specific scene
>>11884637>Clearly Disney and the contemporary Hasbro staff are at fault. They are, but anybody under the impression that if not for Hasbro's and Lucasfilm's errors the toy aisle would look like it did in 2002 (or even 2010) are delusional.
>>11886121Too bad the toys themselves have gotten worse
>>11886278Please explain how this is true. Swivel hips and derpy painted faces from 2007 are in no way better than what we're getting now.
>>11885961It'd be molded in tan plastic with brown splotchy paint sprayed on.
>>11886352Nah. It'll be the same kinda shiny paint that they did for Jango, the new Mando, and parts of the B2 droid.
>>11886278You are retarded if you genuinely believe this
Do you guys think they'll remake the Black Series Jabba? I want him, but kind of want to wait in case they remake him.
>>11886355Not even
>>11886347I do think things have gotten worse in some respects. Their new strategy of reducing paint by just molding separate pieces has been a real mixed bag. The vest on the new Han is a good example of an outright downgrade. In general things are much better now, but not as good as I would have expected, honestly.
>>11886515Hard to say, they love to repack things but Jabba is a big item so harder to put out. They rereleased him in 2023 for the ROTJ anniversary but only as a pulse exclusive. Probably won’t do him again anytime soon if I had to guess
Why the fuck are these nobrain idiots make so few BS Thermal Detonators for fucks sake?
Hasbro pulse is shit they never restock soon, dead franchise anyway.
>>11886589It's pretty hilarious the direct site is just as bad as retail. SW really is dead at retail.
After only playing for a few hours, there’s a bunch of characters we’re going to need from Zero Company, like some Infinite Coil soldiers.
>>11887170Game is kinda shit? Only on mission 3. Main character was just like eh fag died who cares. Graphics look good when there's no pop in and weird clothes physics. I want a non rebellion story so bad. I think it's only getting good reviews because nothing is out.
>>11887176… it’s not even a rebel story, takes place in a completely different era. You didn’t play it lol
>>11887193Yeah my guy is named Hawks and tricks is a clone troopers. Runs is a tortuga leak head. Just got out from under the hutts 80k credit debt. Big Ole 3k left over from that last job. I'm saying I wanted to play morally Grey or bad guys. I'm tired of being the pussies.
>>11887193There's some bug thing on the loose in my office that is probably what is causing the spiral madness. The faces look stupid and of course everything looks like a tranny if you go off the default face slides. Big blue hits like a truck and aurelio dies the first mission.
It needed body sliders. My guy looks too skinny. No muscle definition.
>>11887170Uh no we don’t "need" these sovlless gi joe or Anbore looking fuckers. They don’t even look Star Wars
God I wish Pulse didn't use DHL. I had shit ship out from the new TVC wave last Friday and it's just been sitting in Orlando ever since.
>>11887170This.
>>11887286What do you want me to say? You can customize your characters however you want.
what's up with devon having the longer lightsaber blade? was it like that in the show?
Board tourist here. As a kid in the 90s I recall playing with diecast models of the ships. Does anyone still make those or are they too expensive to justify producing?>tfw using the gap between the fridge & freezer doors to mimic flying through the Death Star trench and Xizor's Skyhook internals (from Shadows of the Empire)
I'm here on /toy/ to get knowledge from the Masters (you guys). I wish to set up my dining room for some Star Wars DnD with friends (either Saga or EotE/F&D), and I want to know what some cool collectibles or props are that I can put around the room for vibes/ambiance. I have a handful of model ships, 2 Mandalorian helmets, Revan's mask, 3 lightsaber hilts, 8 holocrons, and 4 blasters. I know I just missed out on the Thermal Detonators, a couple of those would've been perfect. I essentially want to set up something like pic related, but Star Wars themed and without the fancy table.
>>11884963They're too ideologically captured for all of that. More importantly, their largest shareholders are fellow travelers.
I haven't been able to find Thorn at all, is he just gonna remain eternally scalped?
>>11887681Model ships yes, but diecast no.
