So I'm really bad with identifying bucks even with the figure in my hands, but more so from promo stills.
How is this, it kinda looks like the blue FF unfirom SM from the Wolverine/SM 2PK or is it another one? How are you liking it?
I honestly only want the SM (sue me), and I suppose if they will eventually do a Marvel Rivals Future Foundation suit I could wait for that, but I don't mind paying for this and selling Reed off.
I just want to know what I am in for, body buck wise.

I've been hearing rumors of a new Hulk mold, is it going to be based on Marvel vs. Capcom, or something else?
>>
>>11892408
You misunderstood. The maximum hulks chest is rapidly deteriorating and forming mold.
>>
>>11892402
Unfortunately, yes. And the window closes for pre-orders, so I'm guessing its a made-to-order type deal- which along with the price is also kind of dumb imo since it'll sell just as well, if not better, than their retail offerings.
That said, beggers can't be choosers. I'm really happy they are finally making him.
>>11892415
The official name of the figure is actually Maximum Mold Series Hulk, but they couldn't fit the 'Mold' part onto the packaging.
>>
you guys realize the maxhulk's chest is just soft pvc and if unusual humidity, light or other conditions find it just right, and its warped like in a pose, it can tear. And that's all there is to it. plenty of companies use the same stuff. it was a bad idea to make the chest of that, but it isn't some strange unheard of substance that will turn to mold.

Dazzler sucks and is a Frankenstein of her Disco hairstyle and her flash dance outfit.

Longshot is missing all of the accessories the single card had including his sachel but has an extra hand with him holding blades the retro card version lacks

The chief selling point is Mojo, who has more painted details than the regular release. But to be frank, the extra paint doesn't stick out unless you know where it was.

For $60 basically you are getting Mojo and the others for free. Dazzler and

It seems like they erred on the side of making it too large rather than too small. “Gargantos” is also MUCH larger than his in-game appearance, where he’s the size of a human. Considering they probably won’t ever make another Shuma Gorath, it was probably worth it. This Sentinel is at least less glaring with it’s inaccurate scale since it’s only a little larger than in-game if anything.
>>
>>11892064
All that articulation and they still ignore the waist. At this point I firmly believe dwight farthead and co do not have the skills and know how to implement good waist articulation.

>>
>>11892676
I definitely would them rather err on the side of making the character too big than too small. If it's too small it'll look terrible, but if it's too big, it'll just look more intimidating imo. I think it's fine, same with Shuma.

if anything its the opposite with all the price increases in the last couple years
>>

>>11893504

>>
>>11893523
The problem is as the collector base shrinks with people getting priced out, the prices will only climb to maintain the 'line must always go up' requirement of profits. You will then be left paying even more until you no longer feel the figures are worth the price as well.
>>
>>11893527
Oh god, whatever will I do if I no longer want to pay the prices for plastic crack? Shut the fuck up. If these things get to the point they're not worth it for me to buy then I'll just stop. It's not like I'm dependent on buying toys in order to be happy. I'm not going to be happy regardless of how many toys I got even for free. We'll be fine anon. Plus for anyone worth a damn, it'll be a while before they're priced out. I've said it before and I'll say it again, toy collecting is one of the cheaper hobbies out there when you compare it to something like working on cars or shooting guns. Collecting is also one of the most brainless h hobbies out there. At least when working on cars you're learning about the mechanics of it and are developing a useful skill in the real world, and with shooting guns you develop good hand eye coordination as well as good self defense skills. With toy collecting you're literally just amassing piles of plastic crack.
>>
>>11893524
at least you get the choice, as an european we dont even get half of the 2packs released
>>
>>11893531
>Plus for anyone worth a damn, it'll be a while before they're priced out.
Priced out is different than not viewing the figure as worth the price at least based on my interpretation of how the term is used.

Priced out seems to be used in a way that means one physically does not have enough money to continue buying the figures due to other expenses.

Judging the figure not worth the price on the other hand is how one could afford to buy the figure with the wealth one has amassed, but one has done the utility function in one's head. The Econ 101 calculus. From that calculation, one does not believe the figure's utility is worth the price on offer and refrains from purchase.
>>

>>11893349
>>11893343
Could get a Playmate's Big Diablo from Primal Rage. That'd fit, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfWCSZU2Ufs
>>
>>11893542
The way it's used around here, it's more like someone doesn't think a figure is worth the standard price anymore so they will no longer buy that line of figures/products. If you guys literally don't have $30 and that's why you're always crashing out, then what are you even doing collecting toys?

> Judging the figure not worth the price on the other hand is how one could afford to buy the figure with the wealth one has amassed, but one has done the utility function in one's head. The Econ 101 calculus. From that calculation, one does not believe the figure's utility is worth the price on offer and refrains from purchase.
I don't even know what you're trying to say. That you can buy more figures by buying less figures? What? You must be an ESL because your words don't make sense.
>>
>>11893556

You don't understand Econ 101? I'll try to simplify it.

Every time you look at a figure (or any product) you have an interest in purchasing, you are deciding whether that figure is worth the seller's price to you. If it is, you buy it. If it isn't, you don't.

That isn't being "priced out," it's just what everyone does naturally.

From the context people use it in, being "priced out" is when people don't have a choice at all because they don't have the funds to pay for what they would want to buy.
>>
>>11893502
Legends have always been better
>>
>>11893566
Again, if you physically can't afford $30 what are you even doing trying to buy toys?
>>
>>11893573
There's a difference between "I can't afford this" and "that's not worth it"
>>
>>11893573

>>11893583
Most people are at stage "that's not worth it" and toxically positive people throw "you're priced out" at them as an insult, acting like they're poor just because they don't think a standard Marvel Legend is worth $35.

Can I get help IDing this body and the head? He's from a loose, second hand cap lot and clearly the seller just stuck a head on this buck that was not the factory head. I assumed he had stuck the cowl head on something he didn't want to sell. I got 5 bodies and 6 cowl-ed heads (he's essentially getting out of the game and dumping most of his collection in lots including spares and extra parts).
Unfortunately, none of the cowls color match this blue, they are all the older, IW/Endgame, reissue heads.
I ended up with extra shields and even extra unmasked heads, so I am not complaining but the other unmasked heads don't go with this buck either.
Any help appreciated!

>>11893756
Depends on the figure. I'm not as held up on mold reuse as some of you autismos. As long as the usage is appropriate and has at least a somewhat updated articulation scheme, then I'd probably be fine with it. Now don't get me wrong, if it's something on the Bucky Cap mold or something forget it. I've actually turned down getting a few figures on that mold, even at a cheap price just because it's so outdated. I kinda wanted the old Heroic Age Hawkeye a while ago for a custom, but I just couldn't justify even paying $16 for a Bucky Cap mold in the current year. I'll source parts somewhere else.

>>11894098
The guys that heavily shill these things are the same ones telling you to not buy Marvel Legends. Really gets the noggin jogging. I'll be honest I was tempted to try out Blokees with the TV version of EVA01 but they want $40-$50 for it online. Wasn't the whole point of Blokees that they are cheap?
>>
>>11891508
Says the poorfag
>>
>>11894104
it's a no brainer if you had to choose spending $20 for the blokees or $40 for the ML. no one's stopping you from buying both but one clearly mogs the other (no its not the ML lol). You have a bit of misconception about Blokees here. yes, Blokees stuff in general is cheaper but the Eva is their premium class model kit so it's a full-on model kit intended for builders. I would even go as far as to say their kits mog the bandai counterpart especially in the eva/tokusatsu stuff. Their eva is still cheap (even though the US blokees site has a markup) because the alternatives will run you double or triple the blokees price lol. Kaiyodo's is $70 to $80 (garbage figure). Robot Spirits is $50 (its pretty good but small). RG is $40 (but it's RG so it's dogshit). meanwhile you can go to aliexpress and grab blokees eva 01 for less than $30. again, no one is stopping from buying the shittier product. you're more than welcome to buy it. making fun of hasbro is just funny. easy too
>>
>>11894114
Actual delusions. I'm sick of the Blokees shills. It's actually getting me to not want to buy them solely to spite you.

Thanos VS Psylocke was not sold in the EU
Some figures are not for sale, others are sold as fan channel instead.

So I just read that Chip Zdarsky is relaunching Avengers and bringing back an old New Avengers lineup. Interesting. I liked his Daredevil run from a couple of years ago. This spins out of that Avengers event that's ongoing right now though, I gave the first few issues a read, and I just didn't know what was going on. May check out the new relaunch though, I'm partial to this lineup

NTA but if you buy a Choice item (which that one ISN'T, so yes that anon is, at best, being disingenuous), the shipping and tarrifs are folded in.
I paid very minimal taxes that don't correlate to my state or local sales tax (far less) on the three orders I did last year and either of those three work out to less sales tax that I paid on three comparable orders on Amazon.

A lot of people fold them in. My three deliveries from China had minor 'sales tax' that don't correlate, percentage wise, with the sales tax I pay to the state or to the local authorities, so I assume that was part of it, but I know the rest, just like the shipping, was included.
Since it was one KO item and two imports I could not buy in the states without mark-up, I was satisfied, but I don't think I didn't pay anything - it's stupid to think that.
ebay won't do it because they aren't really the seller, the Canadian would have needed to eat it (which they won't as probably a private individual)

>>
>>11895282
No. I'm generally happy with the vast majority of my Legends purchases. Some of them were impulse purchases that I could probably do without but I don't think I'd get rid of them unless I absolutely needed the money. If I didn't like them or was generally unsatisfied with them I wouldn't buy them. Simple as. It's what I do for McFarlane. I would love a Marvel Legends eaque DC line but I am always disappointed when I get a McFogure on some level. So I just don't buy them. I've given the line a number of chances of the course of its life and it just doesn't do it for me. So I pass. I'll never understand the mentally ill faggots around here that feel beholden to buy a into a toy line if they don't like it. No one is forcing you to buy Marvel Legends so I don't know why you get all booty blasted when someone else does. The hate around MLs on this board is so forced and artificial, just like the Blokees and CT/Mess toys shilling.

Yeah it's actually specifically Aja since his uniform was simplified a bit for the Fraction run. The purple arrow on his shirt for instance originally had lines through it as well as a bunch of additional gear. When Aja drew it he simplified it by making the arrow solid purple, and getting rid of the shoulder harness and giving the quiver on his belt. Also, the alt head with the bandages is a dead giveaway that it's directly inspired by Fraction's run. Shame Hasbro didn't include Pizza Dog like Marvel Select did for theirs all those years ago, I should still have mine somewhere though, I'll have to dig him out to hang out with Hawkguy.

More reveals at NYCC next month.

You’re all being ripped off
>>
>>11896140
first interesting sculpt in a long time and not even a simple waist swivel, let alone a ball hip. holy fuck hasbro is retarded
>>
>>11896153
Where are you seeing that price?
>>
>>11896140
I want to feel that Kirby crackle in my ass
>>

I think anon is just referring to legends being $27.99 before tax

>8 Deaths of Spider-Man
They totally botched the coloring of that Spider-Man suit, it's extremely boring.
>>
>>11896140
Its fucking insane to me we finally got Microman toys from the comics that arent the Jeeg repaints or stuff thar was from the Japanese toys.

>>11896140
dem nipples are HARD
>>
>>11896178
The old one looks fine but it could use an update, as could Boomerang and Speed Demon, but they need to make Overdrive before they make new versions of them

Or just make a box set with all of them on newer bodies
>>
I shouldn't be complaining about saving money, but god damn, they've barely made anything interesting or worth getting for the last couple years and these new reveals are more of the same

I'm willing to be surprised by whatever they have to show at NYCC, but I am also expecting it to just be more movie and X-Men shit so the drought will continue
>>
>>11896206
I mean, what figures are you interested in? What do you want made?
>>
>>11896154
It's there, but in his chest.
>>
>>11896208
I mostly want more Spider-Man villains and not just different versions Spider-Man himself, especially ugly modern comic costumes

There's so many characters they could make with existing parts and/or minimal new parts but they haven't done a single one

They just need to work on better character selection overall, like who the fuck asked for earth X captain America
>>
>>11896234
I mean, outside a few random characters we have the vast majority of Spideys rogues. All the important ones anyway. They even finished the Life Foundation symbiote lineup. Are you the guy who wanted Carrion?
>>
>>11896172
I know right. Only took 50 years. Insta buy.
>>11896141
I dont have an electra yet so will probably get this. Otherwise I think im going to pass on everything else.
>>
I'm in for
>Smythe
>Hawkguy
>Elektra
>Doom Armor Spidey

Maybe
>MJ
>Carnage
>Christmas Spidey if he isn't too expensive

Pass
>everything else
>>
>>11896178
>The old one looks a bit dogshit
Hate to break it for ya, but if they made a new one it will be dogshit too.
>>
>>11896254
I would like carrion, but I just want most of the villains, regardless of how obscure they are, and supporting cast beyond Mary Jane and Jameson

I'm aware that that's a pipedream, but I've centered my collecting around that, I do the same with Batman, getting figures of all of his villains and several supporting cast
>>
yeah that elsa definitely doesn't look like a fucking figure from 2016 or whatever just shat out with no changes at all or anything, that retard who got mad at me last month or whenever for pointing it out sure showed me
but at least elektra looks great
>>
>>11896254
>I mean
fag
and they haven't done pinless versions of really any of the important spider-man villains
>are you the guy who wanted Carrior?
no, that was me
and I'll remind you, the argument was between me wanting carrion (and also vermin) and the other guy (you?) saying he would rather have more versions of spider-man instead of new characters

so which symbol will the final figure have?
>>
>>11896351
Judging from things like the Rachel Summers and Black Widow hand situations, I'd assume the left since it's an actual tangible item whereas the right is a render. In the past the renders have shown incorrect accessories like the aformentioned Rachel and Widow figures having different hands then what the renders showed, but in those cases, the actual physical product Hasbro showed off in the livestream had the hands that the actual shipped figures had, so I'd always err on the side of the physical prototype being closer to how the final product will be than the renders.
>>
>>11896330
Yeah, I won't lie I'd prefer we get figures like Hawkguy than someone like Carrion. The Fraction/Aja run is fucking fantastic.

Most likely left, you can tell on the right image that the spider is photoshopped in as a placeholder, theres some transparency on the legs and the lighting doesn't match. I'm assuming the intention was to match the Chechetto cover that the figure is based on, but they took the easy way out and just completely reused the Amazing Fantasy torso print since its already the base body.
>>
>>11896359
there's been like 1 hawkeye a year on average, he's not comparable to spider-man

>>
>>11896141
Anyone else noticing something wrong around Elektra's waist? It looks like she has the reverse ab crunch but that the bottom half sticks out too far compared to the top half
>>
>>11896439
no
the loincloth does appear to be molded/glued on instead a loose piece though unlike the other ones
