Built up Zenith yesterday. The build quality is oddly similar to Ao the blade liger girl, that's to say oddly lower quality than other Kotobukia kits.There are several rather noticeable mold sink spots and some edge pieces had significant flash. I have never seen either of these to the severity here on any other koto kit even going as far back as the phantasy star kits.
Joint tolerances are also worse than normal. her base body wrists are terrifyingly tight, obviously a bad joint to be tight, and her neck and hips are very loose. Her hips droop quite badly, I would have thought it was because of the weight of her huge legs, but it is like that even with the bare legs too. Her lower neck has no detent to hold the ball in place so her rather cluttered neck area will make the head fly off if even slight pressure is applied.
Her arms are long as hell. Distractingly so. This also brings to mind the parts swap gimic between the 1/48th scale zenith kit where you use a special joint included here to swap the shoulder armor with the significantly larger entire arms. The hands used here are also intended to hold that releases weapons, I have the weapons shimmed so the stock weapons can actually be held.The four arm form had me thinking though, this kit already includes four arms, why can't you connect the armored arms to the shoulder armor and just use the bare arms? There isn't a joint included to do it, and even if it did there is no connection point inside the shoulders to do it in the first place.
With a joint small enough, and by drilling the hole on top of the shoulder through, you could absolutely have the four arms here. I feel like this is a pretty big oversight, especially when, at least to me, it looks better this way.There is also a design flaw that makes both armored knees bend to the right slightly. It isn't as noticeable when they are bent, but you can even see it in the first picture here.This isn't a bad kit by any means, it's just kinda disappointing that it has so many minor problems. The unarmed body is actually pretty decent, even with how odd some of the sculpt choices are.
Partisan feels like a 2000's pvc and vinyl figure. It's really weird. She's like Cuckoo in that she is actually a really good Hyper Body figure, but it is very strange to me that her armored limbs are sold separately.Kinda wish her twintails moved up, but other than that, I quite like her.
Yue, is fantastic.This is the best Sousai kit by a wide margin. The costume really seems like a response to the 30ms Idolmaster girls, and it's a MASSIVE flex. This shit is really really good.Molding is tight and pristine, plastic quality and texture is great, faces are clear and expressive, posing is the best in the line. Even her hair is great. It gets out of the way for pretty much any pose it needs. The recessed knees are kinda ugly, but I don't think it is as bad as the Arcanadea drawer knees. The lower neck joint being disguised as part of the ribbon is an awesome detail.Even if you don't buy Sousai kits I strongly recommend her. She is very much the Susanowo of Sousai. There are several m.s.g. kits that would go great with her that I want to try out.
One note, the triangles between the lace on her belly are individual pieces. I legitimately think someone could accidentally inhale them with how tiny thet are.

If we assume these are their canon stats, then Yukumo is the lowest level of the initial group at 48, followed by Lumitea (50), Elena (55), Velretta and Soffiera (who are tied at 72), and Ermeda being the highest level at 73. Lumitea actually has the lowest HP of the group of only 968, while Ermeda naturally has the highest for being at the highest level (3542). Soffiera actually has the lowest MP of all of the characters (149), while Elena has the most (620) despite not being a magic user; Yukumo, the designated mage, only has 350 MP and is tied with Lumitea and Ermeda.

Keep in mind that when it comes to Gunpla, the build process is considered a part of what you're paying for, so MG and RG kits include complete internal skeletons that you can layer on top of and even leave partially unbuilt to expose the internals. Something that works for robots, but not for cute girls.

Inner skeleton frame has been tried a few times in GKs but they're too small for it to look good.

Kuon's box here is about the size of a modern RG box, which in turn is about the size of MG boxes of the previous era. Modern MG boxes are about twice as big now, because they're designed with full internal skeletons and layered armor parts. Since girls don't need internal skeletons, they can get away with something a bit smaller, as evidenced by Grande Lumi here. Probably about Full Mechanics size, a bit bigger depending on the amount of options and gimmicks (the RE/100 Nightingale was massive thanks to the wing binders).

However, for highly popular stuff made in limited quantities, like, say, any of the Koi Body stuff) regular proxy services won't cut it (like Buyee) because they don't buy the items immediately. For that you'd be better off taking the (admittedly annoying) time to set up an account with services like Tenso where they give you an Address (basically a cubby at their warehouse) for you to ship to, which allows you to order the items yourself immediately. With a service like that you can hawk an item's page and buy it the moment sales start so you can actually guarantee your item. Pretty much mandatory for some of the more popular creators that only make stuff in small quantities (again, Koi is a great example).
Real question, do 30MS and 30MP kits still conform to Machineca standards, ergo, be cross compatible with non-Bandai bodies? Making SHIis kits and then Hazuki made me think Hazuki deserves a unique body that doesn't match everyone else.

For example, when he was selling his Koi Body XL a number of months ago they all sold out, for every skin color, in about 4 minutes. So long as you've got a Tenso account opened up and their delivery address added to your Booth account ahead of time then you can easily get a Koi order in right away and secure whatever the item in question is. Keep in mind setting up something like Tenso takes a couple days (you're technically getting a legitimate Japanese address, so the government requires making sure you're not a fuckin' terrorist and what not). It's permanent after that no matter how many years go by though. So it's basically one-and-done.
