Crew relationships and group ground missions that are handled like mass effect, with more open world space battles would be the more appropriate way to tackle the property movin forward. Bonus points if you throw in some thought out customization options so everything isn't same same every time, and more hand crafted missions so it isn't "go to this area, blow up these enemies, go to next area, etc etc."

I think Wolf shoulda died in 64 personally, but I like the idea of Sargasso Station, and enjoyed the idea of tackling both ground and space threats throughout it.
