One of the inspirations was how the meme version of Dagoth Ur acts towards the Neraverine, where it's a combination of ancient nemesis and over-eager best friend. Anyway, now that I've had someone look at it, what I'm wondering is how I handle the rest of the arc. On the one hand I was thinking some more scenes in the castle. I want a moment with Lucy that shows her and Beck messing around a bit before his mood sours. And I want to draw attention that when Beck gets mad he gets really quiet, and this freaks Lucy out, since Beck so rarely gets ACTUALLY mad. I was thinking Tsubara would be present so she has a reason to explain this to her (and thus the audience). But I also want some more shenanigans with Beck and the Void Father where he's trying to bro out with him and Beck wants nothing to do with it, and it's clear Beck is the more emotionally mature one. But I also want to showcase that while the Void Father is kind self-obsessed and a bit of a bully he's genuinely trying to connect with Beck. I was thinking he is trying to screw with the Mother Goddess in this scene, acting like an immature schoolboy. I was also hoping to have a scene of her and 'Entropy' being catty with each other (I'm imagining Entropy to be made of a series of triangles- she was mentioned as the former rommate the Void Father might have shacked up with). I want to sort of imply that Jayden's lost control of the narrative, and things are developing without her intention, both for good and ill. Part of this I was thinking was revealing the Sun Empress put some sort of magic 'tracker' tattoo on Beck. I also need a good excuse to give him a final third form. Also as part of his 'prophesized defeat of the Void Father' would include having to turn the Mother Goddess into a sword that is the weapon he needs to do so. Which would be something she knows and is willing to do, but effectively removes her from the story. Meanwhile though- Beck is very much not wanting to play along, and actively doesn't want to fight his father. Then probably the chapter after that I was thinking the Void Father and the minions (plus Lucy) go to a local tavern for the 'End of Existence' party where it's showcased that the minions were really stupid for trying to take advantage of his power as they have no way to control him. But also his hearts not really in it for the party without Beck there, though he refuses to show off any emotional weakness. As for other characters, I was thinking Ashflame is out of the picture until the very end with a little foreshadowing. I was thinking Jayden is really injured from the fall and can't contribute much, but I want a good excuse for her to use her 'Dungeon Master' form, but I can't think of a good way to do so. So I have a lot of scenes, but I need to juggle them properly and that's where I need help.
