I am surprised I have not stumbled across anything turning Phantom, Lace, or Eva into an outfit. Even in the Kill La Kill crossover stuff I've found, it's all putting Lace in outfits from it, not turning her into a still-chatty fuku.My own thinking on it (primarily in having "overhead" and consequences for the "Eva doesn't fade into a minor side-note" 'fic cluster) is having "who" they are mostly in a Crest-shaped veil messing with the lore about masks, where to have any other Crest active it has to be drawn back or outright removed (with attendant risk of "brain" damage/needing to replace the externalized bit) and while it's fully drawn down it's a LOT more "invasive" than Hornet's usual-modest personality shift. This concept also features in Deep Fuckery ideas of a half-Nosk Weaver OC having to make them to stop coming across as a sychophantic skinwalker.I have also thought about Eva in a Hornet shell-suit from being "set aside" during the round of molting the Weaver Queen cutscene leaves off on, slowly working on fixing the Horrible Mess with the wonders of actual working eyes and also some bits of grandma involved in the Haunting while wrangling the first rounds of political re-organization, to immense confusion from the carefully-limited few "in the know" because the clearly more-Pale-Being "Red Maiden" is MORE conciliatory than before to the point of being outright submissive sometimes.

And given the stuck-on-life-support bit, being turned into an outfit would be an IMPROVEMENT in mobility.
