Thread Question: Do you think bugs would have any special dishes involving stuff from their irl counterparts' diet, like nectar or aphid honeydew?

Bugs always have a wide disparities between each other that includes diets, so I would believe that they would have 'species cultural' dishes should they become sophon, as well as they would be open to try out each other dishes. Of course, how do you do this for bugs that eats other bugs like mantises. Would you go the safe route and have bug livestock like Aphids, would there also be a 'forbidden secret menu' with those type of bugs. And how about the smell of the dishes from something like flies, as they don't have the sense of smell that can smell things like shit and rotting meat? Or foods that involve things like mint or caffeine that naturally repels certain insects?
But I would agreed with the anon that sweet, high energy meals like nectar would be widespread, bugs love their sweets.
>>
>>83150967
Have to consider what other animals exist. If all other animals still exist then they maybe just substitute that into their diet, though maybe there is still a set of non-intelligent bugs like aphids to serve the needs of any bug civilization, albeit there may be some underground elements seeking other intelligent arthropods meat in either case. As for smell, I have to imagine most would understand the unconventional diets of some bugs and just try to avoid the establishments carrying dishes offensive to the olfactory system, though obviously there would be some friction in dealing with that food being brought elsewhere, but it's not like rotten/bad-smelling food is a wholly new concept. Dealing with repellants might just mean seeking reasonable substitutes if not outright skipping the ingredients adding those to a meal, enough recipes out there to just completely avoid making the sort of dishes that include those anyways.

>Have to consider what other animals exist.
I'll be honest I didn't consider non-bug animals when writing that post kek. I think it would be fair to assume they would keep non-bug livestock for some meat/egg variation or for stuff like wool as some bugs do eat that.
>but it's not like rotten/bad-smelling food is a wholly new concept.
Also didn't consider that too.

But yeah, I can see you have a good idea on how the whole thing would play out. It honestly wouldn't be too far to how we have it with food from different cultures, outside of the whole repellents thing.

Maybe it's just the timing, you can face him as soon as chapter 3. Or maybe it's also because I'm also playing with the Hard Hits medal so he was doing much more damage and was recovering. I mean I know it's does nothing on boss fights but I'm just a glutton for punishment (like doing that with the Heavy Drone B-33 fight)
Also I might have missed the dialogue that stated he was married (lucky guy/gal), but for the serial killer part, maybe I can fix him (or he makes me worse)
>>
>>83199647
Hard hits would definitely bump the difficulty up a bit, yeah. I don't think it's mentioned anywhere in the game he's married, just something I saw on the wiki, backer who created him probably added the fact he has a husband, so both the only male ant in the game and the only canon gay bug
