Well, that is why this hurts, because his version of the idea was 10 times better. In mine l, the human was just a tester, in his, the MC is directly responsible for everything, which makes this concept way more powerful.(Also, yes, I know Ready Player 1 also had this idea, but that coincidence didn't bother me, because back then I had no concrete plans for writing)

Me and other popular character owners don't like AI as a whole, but if there's a space for AI to go (like e6ai) and it respects non-AI works (our characters/art), we can largely co-exist. The 'uproar' comes more from the disrespect of the individual creator's wishes rather than just AI itself. In my experience, it's always been done out of spite of the creator's beliefs. I don't want people AI generating my character, but there's definitely a difference between being a fan and putting my character on a beach with a sunset and making them get fucked by a horse specifically because I'm not into real animals. The culture here may be different, but I guess in some way I hope a more nuanced middle ground can be found outside of the loud 100% pro AI and 100% anti AI sides
