Welcome to /pmdt/! A thread for posting art, writing, and discussing of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Series! Especially if it's saucy~

You can post art, recommend comics or fanfics, talk about the games/setting, or just roll to see what Pokémon you wake up as! If you'd like to join in the RP, the Lore Archive gives a general summary of the setting and history so far!

We have a shared setting for the thread if you wish to participate. The TL:DR is a bunch of humans from various worlds have been sent to the PMD world and have ended up at an abandoned town in the desert and have been rebuilding it as a new home together. Feel free to ask questions about anything and to the characters themselves if you’d like.

Repost for Oren & Fen

>>83334654
>Yuki hmms thoughtfully
I suppose that makes sense. Your kind are pretty feared for their strange abilities.
>Yuki ponders what would happen if she looked at Oren, she's already dead...
>She's not willing to risk it though
What do you mean? You seem like a perfectly healthy young Mimikyu to me.

>>83336921
Haha! That little brat, already picking fights. I don't blame Miss Dino for wanting to put her in her place. I certainly wouldn't mind the company though. It'll be nice to have some girl friends to talk with. I love Luke to bits, but he just didn't get it sometimes.
>She is definitely going to tease the hell out of Fly for her little crush after talking the other girl's ears off
>She's had a lot of time being alone to build up her girlish yapping
I think you could pull it off. Once he gets over his obsessive need to protect Fly from everything, that is.
>From Yuki's new perspective, even Fen looks giant, it is certainly quite a change
Oh please! It's money, it's meant to be spent, not hoarded. You hoard treasures and trophies, not money...
>Yuki never really approved of Fly's hoard
Sounds like a stick in the mud. The best training is to just jump in feet first and get a few levels in. You'll learn to fight in no time at all!
>It's probably not a good idea to take swimming lessons from Yuki...
>A gift given by a young trainer to his 1st pokemon, worn constantly up to the day she died, a soothing chime heard by her daughter still in the egg, needless to say, it is a treasured family heirloom
Maybe not similar, but it feels comfortable...
>If she was able to cling to existence on her pokeball, the bell was like a luxury suite in comparison
It would be nice to be able to go out on the town with Fly, just the two of us.
>Maybe if Fen regains his memories, he would be able to teach Fly how to do what he does
>Then Fly could sustain Yuki all on her own
>>
>>83334856

Good to see you’re already living up to the whole hero thing.
>With such a stalwart protector and her knowledgable teammate by his side, this dreadful dungeon doesn’t feel so bleak any more.
>So much so, he almost forgets its oppressing nature still trying to get to them.
>Raoul quietly huffs to the info, that they do pick up items littering this place and actually use them against any intruders they come across.
>Maybe they’re not just mindless husks as he assumed, although that kamikaze attack just now still has him on the fence on that one.
>He looks at Raider and slowly nods, now that the only thing they can hear are distant footsteps as well as their own conversation.
I guess. Oh well, let’s see where this place takes us and decide from there. Up it is, then!
>The nidoran pauses for a moment, as he notices the whimsical laughter coming from the other path, but doesn’t intent to stick around for long and accidentally fall victim to whatever hides around the corner.
>Raoul follows them into the dark corridor last, making sure nothing creeps up on them from behind.
>Ever vigilant, or rather on edge, his footsteps fall almost as silent as Raider’s as he guards the rear.
>Entering the next room, the nidoran stops close to the others, allowing his gaze to take in their surroundings illuminated by Ignis’ tail.
>His attention brought to the slumbering beast and the treasure it guards, the greedy little thing slowly nods in approval of the heist.
>He hoists himself up, ears standing at full attention and keeps a lookout for the thief, just in case someone decides to show up or something goes wrong.

>>83306623 (Audrey)
Oh I bet you were quite the looker.
>She nudged Audrey in the side
But I doubt you went around naked.
>With Audrey's insistence to remain in the library, the doll conceded with a shrug
Hey, I'm just spitballin'. You've been here longer, you know where all the hideaways are. I ain't gonna argue.
>Evelyn gave the Audino's shoulder a gentle pat before letting go

>>83243629 (Mewt)
>The Zoroark didn't know what an immune disorder was, but Mewt attempting to put some rationality to her loss still meant something
>After the feline wiped Vaila's tear away, she took the offered cloth with a barely-audible thanks and finished
She was always so full of wanderlust. Even when we were pups, she'd end up lost in the forest because she just kept walking.
>The fox then stared at the small fire in front of them
One day, a caravan of performers and painters arrived nearby. We went to see them...and that was it, her mind was decided. The day after the caravan left, we said our few goodbyes and left on our own. Many full moons ago.

(I'll repost my AND Cato's last post so they don't have to try and find it. I'm just cool like that.)

(Cato Post)
>Cato enjoys the way the Dreepy squirms and twists around their paw. It's not often they get to be a little dominant over a 'mon... though she did take charge at the very end back there...
Yeah, c'mon. We'll go find a nice spot in the springs.
>They turn the shower off, and shake themselves off a little, letting the Dreepy wrap around their shoulders again.
>A short trip outside, and they're out into the springs area. There's plenty of Pokemon around enjoying the warmth, makes sense for a cold day.
A bit busy... you have any preference for which pool we'll soak in?

(Dreepy Post)
>>83222136 #
>Dreepy chitters into Cato's ear before settling down and taking her place on Cato's shoulder
>Even wrapped around their neck, she continues her nuzzling
I don't really care. If you have a preferred spring, that'll work, otherwise, just pick whichever have the best view.
>She grins at them suggestively before losing confidence
Y-You know, th-the one with the most sexy people in it...
>She immediately realizes that she is inducing cringe
Ugh... This is why I usually just watch people. I always make everything weird when I try to talk...
>She hesitates as if practicing what she was about to say in her head before speaking
You mentioned before that I should give myself a name, right? Do I really need a name? I'm not really anyone important...

Hehe yeah! Fly’s b-been wanting to see Miss Dino in a-action. She’s really cool and b-brave, she’d always beat up any m-monsters that tried attacking me and s-send them running away. And I think they’d love t-to have a new friend to talk to as well!
>The girls will definitely be up for some chatting over phantom tea, haha!
Hmm, Fly talked a-about how she thought Luke was overprotective of her, and how she d-didn’t like him telling her what to do for like, fights and stuff. She thinks he d-doesn’t trust her to make decisions on her own. Was he always l-like that?
>Trainer behavior? Or a symptom of him coping with her death?
But I’ll do my b-best, everyone deserves f-friends!
>Giant Fen! Even gianter when he eventually evolves
>Fen chuckles at her dismissal of Fly’s money hoarding. The little sailback’s greed knows no bounds…
That’s t-true! But she likes her c-coins, so if they’re important then I don’t want to just ask her to use it if we don’t n-need to
>Maybe for regular battles jumping in and fighting low level enemies would be a decent enough starting point, but dungeoneering is a vastly different thing
Ha! I t-think he would get annoyed hearing that. But he just d-doesn’t want us getting hurt. He told us a story about how scary dungeons c-can be, and I kind of agree, even if I w-want to go out and explore. I don’t think I c-could live with myself if s-something happened to Fly because we weren’t p-prepared
>Well this is new and important information to Fen, so he’ll keep in mind that spirits can linger in objects
Mmmh, I think she’d l-like that too. It w-would be good if we could figure out a way for you to be able to t-talk with her. Maybe you can posses me? Oren know how to do that, m-maybe he can teach us!
>He -is- a vessel after all, maybe he could change positions with those he’s bonded to
>Perhaps Fly could bond with spirits too, maybe with a potion that could give her some Hisuian Typhlosion magic?
>>
What would be the perfect generic "anon" pokemon for shitposting purposes?

>Veritas shrugs.
At present, neither hypothesis is supported by definitive evidence, and each possesses a comparable number of adherents. Accordingly, we shall refrain from accepting either as truth until sufficient empirical data has been gathered to substantiate one position over the other... or an entirely different one altogether.
>She looks down at her present again.
We are prepared to venture exceedingly far and to assume considerable risks in the pursuit of that knowledge.
>She opens the box.
>Inside is a mask. Not unlike in design to the ones worn by the zoroark guards but fitted for her face shape instead.
>With this she won't have to fear Lilith's pheromones and other aerosol attacks anymore.
Interesting...

Hey, I'm only naked in spirit. With fur like this, I'm always dressed to impress. Not much to hide anyway...
>She closes her eyes & hums.

Haha, weeeell I did train with Vex for a little while.
>She accepts the money and stores it away
>And then, she glances at Raoul with a smile
You're welcome! Don't worry, you two'll shape up with some training. Maybe you'll wanna try battling the next one, type advantage and all?
>Back to Raider, she nods as he explains
Got it. Rude of them to toss stuff at us like that...
>The strange atmosphere was momentarily forgotten until Raider brought it up again
God this place is weird, you're right. I wouldn't mind a little exploration anyway, but maybe it'd be best to head to a different floor any chance we get. Maybe next time the place won't be so...
>She stares at the creepy indoor garden
...Off.
>Their choice made, they make the journey into the darkness!
>Honestly, without being able to see the strange surrounding, Ignis can pretend it's just a normal grassy forest, at least until the walls flicker into view of her tail's light
>Spotting the TM, Ignis pauses to give it a curious glance... along with the sleeping pokemon beside it
>Seeing Raoul's nod of approval, she nods too. Why not? She bets she can burn this thing up too if it comes down to it.
>Looks like it's Raider's time to shine!

>Carrie taps her cheek as she cups her head in her tiny hand.
You can't equate every unexplainable event to god. Humans are here & that's a fact. It's really a game with two outcomes, not three...
>She shrugs, leaning back with her palms in the air beside her head.
...They're here by complete random chance, or to cause trouble. Fate doesn't provide easy answers to great problems.
>Her eyes narrow at the mask Veritas clutches in her hands for a moment before sitting straight & eventually sliding off the box, stashing it away without a trace the moment her body obscures it partly from view.
Buuuut a great *mind* certainly helps. Where will you start, hm? Eager to face the daemons of your not-so-distant past? Or are you going to... hum. Take a stroll through the wreckage that whole debacle wrought?
>Veritas & sons'... ah, daughters' first step will matter a lot for their goal, but Carrie wants to know what their plan will look like before it begins.

>With the other's approval Raider slips into the deeper into the room
>He doesn't go directly to the item, instead, he hugs the wall and creeps closer and closer, eventually leaving the light that Ignis's tail lets off
>His red fur disappears in the darkness and all is silent as his tail reaches for the TM...
>Guided by his instincts, he successfully swipes the TM
>This is what he was built to do and it felt extremely satisfying to the little fox
>As he slowly and silently makes his way back to the group, all is silent
>Well except for the sounds of steps coming in from behind them
>A Pair of eyes shines in the dark, they do not mindlessly attack, instead, it waits just far enough away that the darkness conceals their form
>There is a chance to preemptively attack before they get close, but the sound would probably wake up the sleeping pokemon in the room
>Raider is still in the room making his way back with the TM so he would be vulnerable and the 1st thing the sleeping pokemon would see should it wake up
>At the same time, a pincer attack could prove dangerous, so It may be better to take the creeper out while it is creeping instead of attacking...

>Veritas looks at Carrie and slightly raises her eyebrows.
You dismiss the prospect of divine intervention rather swiftly, and in doing so, would hardly stand alone. I have encountered many who question whether Arceus is truly omnipotent or who, at the very least, suspect that they no longer concern themself with the affairs of the world. Although I, too, have never witnessed unequivocal proof of their power, I make a deliberate effort to maintain an open and contemplative mind on the matter.
>She thinks for a bit and sighs.
Engaging with a former human remains the most promising lead available to me at present. Although I am aware that Lilith belongs to that category, I would prefer to postpone any renewed confrontation with her for the time being. Fortunately, this place offers no shortage of alternative candidates who may serve that purpose just as well.
>While she's talking Securis and Lorica open their presents as well.
>Both find a TM as well as an additional item. Lorica gets spiky looking braces that fit perfectly on her wings while Securis stows away a small blueish crystal in diamond shape.
>Veritas looks at Carrie again.

There are far greater supernatural forces *besides* god by volume. If we're going for a more fantastical option, then a scornful phantom plucking spirits from other realms or a powerful mystic ripping open tears in space are both *just* as likely, which means you're turning what WOULD be two potential answers into *thousands* of them.
>Carrie doesn't bother pointing out the obvious, that even if Veritas sapped the lifespans from both her party members she STILL wouldn't have enough time to give every possible lead a thorough look. Cutting the esoteric out of the picture isn't narrowing her worldview, it's trimming the fat.
Anyone in particular? I doubt simply chatting up just *anyone* would be worthwhile, but a cohesive list of priorities would suffice.
>Even with more pressing matters at hand Carrie's attention is piqued by those spiked bracelets Lorica fits across her feathers.
Now *that's* some aesthetic cohesion. They contrast your brutal gothic revival style quite nicely.
>She never thought punk would look good paired with Victorian-era knight armor. It really gives the bird an attitude. Carrie admires & nods in approval.

I thought I felt another dragon in there. It'll be fun to meet her... and maybe wrestle with her a little. Haha!
>I imagine the vent being like a pocket dimension, where the wisps will see and interact with eachother in their true forms, not as little fireballs, so they should be able to play, right?
Luke can be a bit overbearing, but he was a trainer for decades, some habits are hard to break. I imagine he only got harder for her to deal with after I was killed though.
>So basically both, but it got worse after Yuki died
>Yuki happily njzzles against Fen after he says that
I know you will. I believe in you.
>It'll be a sad day when Fen stops being a cute little Quilava...
Well, yeah! You're the male in the relationship, so don't ask her to spend her money, but if she offers, don't turn her down either!
>Dungeons aren't something that Yuki is too familiar with so she would think like a trainer's pokemon
So he's like the guild's big brother that keeps an eye on the little guys? If that's the case, I suppose I can understand his point of view. I still think he is being a bit overbearing.
>Never know when you'll find a new buddy. Gotta check every knick knack and old piece of junk! Haha!
What are you talking about? I can't possess you I'm not a... O-Oh, I guess finally getting to talk to someone after all these years, made me forget I was dead. Hmm... couldn't I try to possess Fly too? I should be able to talk with her if I'm in her mind, shouldn't I?
>Possessing Fen is an option thoug his spirits may object to that
>A temporary ghost type potion or maybe ghost type Terastalization may let Fly see and speak to the wisps like Oren can though
>As they are chatting, Fly pulls Oren into a little sleep hug and rolls onto her side nuzzling into the top of his false head

Well so long as you had some fun, that's all that matters.
>Raider brushed against Oren as they got closer
Just a little review of what we found out and uh, maybe a little argument too, but a reward for my hard work as lead interrogator was brought up.
>Raider seemed a bit giddy at the prospect of a reward
Come on, let's get outta here.
>Raider made his way to the door and opened it up
>They were still moving at a broke pace so he turned to look at Oren
I can keep up with this pace, but you may want to just climb to the 2nd cart.
>Raider seemed to think that Oren couldn't match his speed due to his shuffling gait
All right, the road looks clear, let's go!
>He hops onto the ground and runs up to the door to the middle cart and climbs inside
>Hopefully everyone doesn't mind a couple more companions
>With the lead cart filled with all the stuff, the middle cart was where everybody that wasn't driving, riding, or watching the prisoners was hanging out in.
>Raider waves at Lilith as he waits for Oren to enter

(If anyone has been feeling left out of the Lapras Bay timeline, this is a good place to hop back in. Lilith, Chai, Cato, Audrey, Dit, and Nox are probably here in the middle cart. Zed & Mewt are driving the lead cart with Luke, Vex and Jack are in the rear with prisoners along with Veg, and if I missed anyone, sorry it's been a while and I may have forgotten who all came along. You're probably in the middle cart too.)

No, hon, it doesn't work like that. Basically the baby will be the same species as the mom. They could inherit small things from the father like eye color or egg moves or slight differences to their stats, but they will be perfectly normal. A Muk could slime a Gardevoir and their baby would just be a Normal Ralts. Maybe with purple eyes, but otherwise totally normal.

>Veritas thinks for a bit.
Although I am aware that numerous former humans are said to inhabit this place, I have not yet had the opportunity to become acquainted with them in any meaningful way. At present, I know only of Lilith the Salazzle and of Evelyn, mentioned in passing by that Weavile. In retrospect, I should have inquired into Evelyn’s current species as well.

>The pivot from mysterious cosmic events to fashion & back to the aforementioned events is made to look effortless by Carrie.
*Carrie* has heard a thing or two herself, that "Evelyn" is a dark & macabre doll haunted by a... gifted spirit. She was colluding with a walking marshmallow & some orange weasel by the tree today. As for her current whereabouts... unclear. Woe!
>Carrie lets out a theatrical sigh as she feigns going faint before peering at Veritas through one eye.

>As they settle down in the 2nd cart, Raider wraps his tail around Oren in a friendly tail hug
Hmm?
>Raider listens carefully in case Oren wanted to ask about laws or...
Psh! Hahahaha!
>Raider struggles to contain his giggle fit
Well, I guess some people do, but it's not really considered polite. Only clueless or really REALLY domineering people do that. It would be like lifting up someone's shirt to check out their abs. Everybody would think they're weird, but some people do it anyway.
>Most canine pokemon do have scent glands back there though so there is a vestigial instinct to do it
I've actually got a sorta anti-scent gland in my tail, that covers up scents so I don't leave as much of a trail.
>A Nickit's instinct to drag their tail through the dirt actually has 2 functions, to wipe away footprints and cover up their scent with the oil from their tail gland
It's kind of a pain. I've got to clean it all the time or it gets greasy.
>If Raider dragged his tail behind him more often, his tail wouldn't get greasy, but he doesn't like to since it would get dirty instead...
>Raider looks over at Oren, for someone with showbiz aspirations, he sure hasn't put a lot of effort in
I thought you wanted to put on shows. Why haven't you started saving money to do that? You need money to get props and backgrounds and rent a stage and to hire actors and musicians... You'll probably need a loan just to get started, and that's before advertising and pyrotechnics...

>Fly and Luke need to have a long chat anyways with how things have progressed since they've separated
>Yuki gets a chirp and a deep purr as she nuzzles into him. Hearing she believes in him helps wash away any remaining trepidation around Luke
>Fen will always be cute, even as a Typhlosion!
Ok, I w-won't, but I'll still try to g-give her back the coins she spent today!
>He hums for a second before shrugging
I guess he is! T-this my first time at the g-guild, so I don't know much about it o-or the members, but he does seem like he's w-watching out for everyone. He's really nice, I think you'd like him! M-maybe I can introduce you!
>The little badger is going to be opening every pot and urn and saying 'hello?' inside
Hmm, maybe you c-could! And I w-would think that's how it works. I haven't done that before so you'd h-have to ask Oren!
>Possessing Fen might be significantly easier since she already inhabits his body, so maybe that would be a good starting point until she can get strong enough to possess Fly
>A ghost potion would also work given Oren can hear her!
>Fen coos at how freaking adorable Fly hugging Oren is
So cute...
>Fen sits up and gives the two a nuzzle before turning towards Yuki
Did you w-want to go see if anyone else is around that we can introduce you t-to? Maybe Vex is still in his room!
>He'd offer Oren to tag along but it seems he may be trapped!

>Dreepy visibly relaxes as the heat wafts up to her fuzzy perch as Cato sinks into the water
Hmm, I guess so.
>Cato admitting that "Drippy" was a title they held got a giggle out of their little companion
Slippy is kinda cute, but it sounds more like a little boy's name. I want a cool name like... Darkstar the Soul Taker, o-or maybe Marionette the Body Snatcher!
>crawling in my skin.... yeah those names aren't sticking
>In her edgy excitement, she ended up floating up off of Cato's shoulders and since she was already up, she may as well take a dip
>She lowered herself down onto Cato's chest and slid down into the water against their fur
>She practically melted as she sunk up to her shoulders, still clinging to Cato
>She wasn't confident in her ability to maintain altitude in the face of such relaxation
>The positioning probably looked lewd to onlookers, but she wasn't doing anything other than lay on them
Cato, do you come here often? I wouldn't mind bathing with you again. I-If you'll have me. N-No pressure or anything if you would rather go with your real friends.

>No longer confident, nothing is mad enough to approach a group armed with a literal dragon passing through a highly flammable dungeon, the nidoran remains alert while Raider is off doing his thing.
>At some point, he loses sight of the thief leaving their guiding light, but as long as he doesn’t get vocal, everything should be fine.
>Raoul takes a deep breath and allows his gaze to wander through the landscape shrouded in darkness.
>This isn’t so bad after all.
>Just as he was about to consider them save, his ears hone in on the presence slowly stalking up on them.
>Raoul moves his heavy head around, only to stare straight into those beady eyes surrounded by blackness.
>This place really isn’t pulling its punches, huh?
>With a quick and firm tap against Ignis’ leg, he tips the charizard off without dropping a single word.
>Even though Raoul can’t make out more than glowing orbs, he’s not leaving the predator out of his sight.
>Raider isn’t back and he doesn’t know where their rogue lingers, but so far, everything is still silent and he intends to keep it that way.
>Dropping back on all fours, the nidoran clearly shows their stalker pretty much lost their advantage and has been spotted.
>Every thorn, every spike on his body rises and fans out, making him look much taller than the small critter actually is.
>He drags himself in front of the torch with slow, quiet steps, allowing the light to highlight every dangerous spear arming his body, while his centre darkens and lures more attention to his outline.
>Entering a staring contest, he tries to leverage what little he has to appear as intimidating as possible, glaring at the voyeur on the other end of the hallway.
>His heart is drumming like mad in his ears and about to burst out of his chest, but Raoul is determined to stand his ground and buy enough time for Raider to link back up with the group, if nothing else.

>It seems nothing in here cares about its own self-preservation
>And so Ignis follows Raoul's lead and keeps watch while Raider goes for the steal
>Everything past the light of her tail is just... darkness, hard to keep watch when you can't see!
>That is, until a pair of eyes glint in the darkness
>When Raoul taps her leg, she glances down at him, then over where he's looking, meeting the mysterious newcomer's gaze
>Even if she's sure she can take whatever it is, she can't help that icy feeling of fear running down her spine
>Glowing eyes in the dark will do that to you
>Still, she straightens up and meets their gaze. She'd rather not attack until Raider gets back, too much risk when they don't know where each other are!
>When Raoul steps forward, her gaze flicks down to him, watching how he bravely stands in front of her tail and shows off his battle-ready body
>Well, if he can be brave, then so can she!
>She lifts her tail enough to fully illuminate her own face and meets the creature's gaze as well
>It seems they're stuck in a stand-off until either Raider gets back or they act!

Or maybe we could both pick on the old furball together. Hehe...
>Fen's gonna be a pokemon master, but with dead people
>Gotta catch em' all!
>After finding out about Fly's little crush, she can't help but want to join the teasing
I suppose I can't really blame him for that after what happened. Maybe he should consider leaving the mountain. It's dangerous and If Fly is happy here, there's not much reason for them to stay up there.
>It'll probably take a lot of convincing to get Luke to ease up
>He may still be cute as a Typhlosion, but he'll probably be too big for Raider to play with, unless he evolves too
>Fly might even choose to stay an Arctibax just so Fen can be bigger than her
You probably don't need to pay her back. If you really want to though, I would get a gift for her instead. Money is replaceable, but a heartfelt gift can last a lifetime.
>She looks down at the bell on Fly's tail as she speaks
That could be fun! It's been a while since I got to roam around and meet people.
>I can picture that in my head and it is adorable...
Well, we'll have plenty of time to experiment and see what works.
>She does perk a little at hearing that Oren is familiar with possession
>Yuki may not be too comfortable possessing a (to her) little boy's body, but she would probably need some practice and if he is basically easy mode, that may be her only real option
>Yuki shuishes up to his face as he Coos at the sight of Oren getting crushed
Sure, I'm game! If not Vex, I'm sure someone is roaming around that we could play with.
>Yuki floats over to Fen and starts to happily circle around his head eager to go see what the guildmembers are like.

>Raoul's posturing is actually VERY effective
>With a backlight of flame, and his large ears, he looks extremely formidable in the dark, not even mentioning the rows of sharp spines, he almost looks like a Nidorino
>Once Ignis joins in, only a fool would attack
>Fortunately, the creature in the dark seemed less hostile than it initially appeared
H-Hello, a-are you guild pokemon? C-can you help me? I'm scared...
>The voice was small and feminine and legitimately sounded scared, but they stayed just far enough back to conceal themselves in the darkness
>Whatever it was, it was bigger than Raoul, but smaller than Ignis
>Raider entered Ignis's Sphere of light right about then with the TM in his tail and a big smile on his face before whispering
Did yall see me? I was like a thief in the night and...
>The tension and Raoul's stance immediately threw up red flags and it didn't take long for Raider to notice what they others were looking at
>Raider's eyes were more well adapted to the dark so he could see the creature through the shroud of darkness
Raoul, stay back, it's a psychic type...
>He was quick to dash through Ignis's legs to get to Raoul's side, if it attacked, he would body block any psychic moves
>The pokemon in the dark flinched at the sudden appearance of the foxy dark type
W-Wait, please don't hurt me! I need help! Come back to the other room where there's still light. Please!
>The sleeping pokemon stirs, all the noise that the pokemon in the dark is making is putting them in danger
>It's possible that is it's intention, but it could also be legitimately looking for help
>Psychic types shouldn't be showing up in a grass type dungeon...
>Either way, this is not a good place to be having a conversation...

Nooooo, no picking on Mister Fox!
>Fen can hear a tired sigh of amusement from the old Delphox. Sounds like he's accepted his fate
>But he will get his revenge somehow...
>He could seriously become a one (living-ish) mon army if he can get strong enough to manifest multiple spirits at once
Oh, t-that could be a good idea! S-sounds like he doesn't really like the c-cold anyways, though I think Fly would miss the snow...
>Fen would be ecstatic if they decided to stay in Oasis. The mountain does sound like a terrifying place to live
>Granted, they'd need to move an immovable object first
>That's true, though Raider does like his size difference... The little fox can figure it out~
>If that's what she wants! Fen would feel bad if she chose to not get stronger because of him
A gift... Yeah, I c-can do that for sure! What do y-you think would be a good thing to get? I wonder if t-there's a place we can look around for ideas!
>He gets pretty excited at the prospect of getting her a gift, but then he realizes
Aw dang it, but I d-don't have any money!!
>Oh well, at least they can still browse around
>Plus, would be good to get out of this uh, stuffy room for a bit...
Yeah n-no rush! We can try it whenever you feel up f-for it!
>Fen seems perfectly fine with the idea, he already trusts Yuki pretty deeply
>Might be a good idea for the others to practice too, just in case something dire happens
Yeah definitely! I need to s-stop by the ghost place to get my d-den too, so we have some o-options on where to go!
>He giggles brightly as Yuki happily flits around his head, getting up from the straw bed and stretching a moment before turning around to the bound Mimikyu
We'll be b-back soon Oren! Don't l-let Fly hug you to death, hehe!
>>83353401

Oh, come on, he's a big boy. He can handle himself.
>Mister Fox knows there is no escape...
Yeah, Luke hates the cold, but he still made us a home up on the mountain. He's such a sweetheart.
>Dangerous for sure, not only is the environment quite hostile, but the inhabitants aren't anything to sneeze at either
>It could be hard to convince Luke to leave his home and his mate's grave
Knowing Fly, probably something rare and expensive and preferably shiny. She's such a gold digger. Haha!
>Yuki snickers at Fen's naivety
>Vex probably has lots of examples of things Fly would like
>She did seem pretty impressed by his collection
>Maybe Mister Fox could possess Fen to try and get his internal flame working again
>He's probably pretty experienced after all
Ghost place? Is there a haunted house around here?
>Yuki continues to happily float along with Fen over to Vex's door
>>83365046
Hmm, sounds like he's konked out... What do we do now?
>Yuki curiously floats over to the door and pokes through it to peek inside

>She quickly pulls back and waits for Fen to decide what to do.
>She can't really interact with anyone without him so her hands are tied
>>

Hehe, ok ok, just d-don't tease him tooo much!
>Ah betrayed gasp echoes in his head
>Doom looms heavy over Mister Fox. If Yuki figures out how to talk to the living, he's going to as well
>Then gossip with the boys
I l-learned some of the type thingies and dragons are weak to ice, so h-he must have really loved you and Fly to live up there for your sake!
>Luke is absolutely going to take monumental convincing to leave, yeah. But he -does- care for Fly a lot, so if she doesn't want to go back then maybe he'll be more likely to stay
So treasure! This s-seems like a treasure hunting t-town so I bet they'll have lots of pretty stuff!
>Oh most definitely, maybe Vex can let Fen inspect a bit more to get ideas
>That's possible too, he could check if its some mental block, or something physically wrong with him and his flame sacs
Its a place for g-ghosts to live! So uhm, haunted house is p-pretty accurate! Mister Wisp said I could g-get a room there since Giratina likes us? I'm not really su-sure I got it, but I won't turn down a s-safe place to stay!

Mmmh, he must be p-pretty tired...

>He doesn't have any paper or writing utensil though...
>Well, he doesn't want to just barge in an borrow Vex's stuff to write on
>What if he wants privacy!
>...The peeping incident is still fresh in his mind

I think he's asleep. I just took a little peek so I'm not really sure. That's probably a good idea though. It's pretty rude to barge into someone's room while they're trying to sleep.
>Surely someone is around to lend a pen and paper, if not a receptionist, maybe someone that just happened to be around
Right behind you, Fen!
>it's kinda funny, this reminder her of when she was still a Frigibax and Luke was a kid wandering around not really knowing what to do
>It kinda made her nostalgic for the old days...

Ah! I don't want to hear it now, you've made your *real* thoughts known! Ehehe~!
>Audrey's really feeling the pleasant atmosphere. It's like all those sleepovers from when she was a girl. All at her house, of course, never a library, but when the light is dim, the details & differences fade out of view.
Like I'd stop you even if I *was* awake. I've been through more than my fair share of makeovers taking care of my nieces outside of the city. I'd look good no matter what you do to me!

>Fen cringes a bit at the thought given what Fly's told him about their shedding
That d-doesn't sound fun at all, I'd hate it if m-my old fur just got all c-clumped onto me like that!
>True, and with how fast Garchomp are it wouldn't really be that much trouble to make the trek over
>It would be nice to at least keep her resting place tidied up!
Hehe, y-yeah Fly told me how she used to sneak off to d-dungeons. I d-don't think I have to worry tooo much about that, the s-stories Vex told us about them kinda spooked both of us off f-from going in when we a-aren't prepared
>Plus, would Fly really make Fen worry about her like that?
>That's the issue, does his 'body' remember the instincts he had when he was a Fennekin? Old ghosts tend to have severe memory problems from when they were alive
>He picks up on the hint of distrust in her ethereal voice at the mention of the Distortion God
Uhm, w-well Wisp said that us g-ghosts are like his children and he w-wants to take care of us? Something like that, I don't really know m-much about Giratina. I hope he isn't like that in this w-world...

>He glances behind him as he trots along and sends Yuki a beaming smile
>Yuki is so nice, he's happy he was around to help her
>As the two finally make their way to the lobby, Fen pauses and squints his eyes until he spots someone behind a desk holding what sounds to be papers, given the faint crinkle sound
>Fen approaches and waves to the Mienfoo organizing fresh requests, and they pause to glance down at the badger
H-hi! Uhm, do you h-have a paper and something I c-can write on I can borrow for a minute? I need to leave a n-note!
>They happily nod and pass down the required materials which Fen gladly takes with a happy chirp
>He bounds across the room to get out of the way before hunkering down, holding the quill above the paper
>Hesitance is thick across his face
Uhm... Yuki I d-don't remember how to w-write...

>Truly, they're almost as terrifying as they're scared right now!
>At first, the timid voice asking for help makes Ignis relax
>That is until she whips her head over to look in a panic at the sleeping pokemon
>She copies Raoul, putting a claw to her face, but quickly nods in agreement
>Ignis can't say no to a cry for help like that!
>All the same, maybe that cry could be a whole lot quieter?
>Raider's return catches her attention for a moment
>She's glad to see him back safe and sound, and with the TM to boot!
>But they've got more pressing matters at the moment
>The revelation that it's a psychic type is informative in a few ways, she's thankful for his night vision
>Well, that doubly confirms they aren't a dungeon mon.
>She tilts her head at their plea. Maybe they don't like the dark, or maybe they want to lead them into a trap?
>Still, Ignis imagines if she was the one lost and alone in a dungeon desperate for help, only for the guild pokemon she finds to attack her
>...
>Ignis leans her head down to mutter quietly to the duo
Let's do as they say and go back to the light, but stay alert for a trap just in case.

(" " marks that someone other than Raider is speaking)

>The concealed pokemon lets out a tiny eep at getting shushed
>Raider looks up at Ignis a doubtful look, but relents
>There not a whole lot of better options at the moment so the group decides to follow the stranger
"Oh thank goodness... Follow me!"
>The Pokemon in the dark turns and trots down the hall
>Her footsteps have a distinctive equine cadence to them
>As they begin to leave the darkness, the pokemon is slowly reveled, or she would be if her giant poofy tail didn't block the view of the rest of her
>Upon entering the room with funtioning lights, the stranger visibly relaxes and turns around to reveal an adorable sight
>Good lord, it's the pony that every little girl asks Santa to bring them at some point
"Thank you so much! My name's Lulu, my partner and I got separated when the lights started going out. H-He sees better in the dark and I went the wrong way and..."
>She starts to do stressfully grind her little hooves in the grass
"I-I haven't been able to find him so he must have gone deeper in. You've got to help me find him before something happens to him! This place isnt acting right, its never like this!"
>Raider, to his credit had kept himself pretty subdued in the face of a really cute girl
>He was however, just a little smitten, if the dopey smile on his face was anything to go by
Aww, don't worry hon, we were going to head deeper in anyway so you can come with us. We'll keep you safe!
>There he goes, not only telling a total stranger their plans, but also offering their help without consulting everyone...
>He still had the TM stashed in his tail, someone better take it from him before he offers to give it to her too
>The little Ponyta looks to Ignis and Raoul with big sparkly eyes
"R-Really? You're gonna help me? I promise that we'll reward you for once we got back to town!"

>The longer Fly holds Oren in her uber-strong hug, the less he starts to like it.
G-gh.. F-Fly..? Fly, you're... hnf.. crushing me.
>Depending on how heavy a sleeper she is, Oren's calls might not be effective.
>Oren could easily possess Fly in order to break free of her grip which is currently crushing his jelly-like body, but he's not gonna do that without permission.
>That just leaves one thing. A dirty tactic, but if he's gonna be in this lock any longer, he's gonna get squashed to double-death.
>He tries to slither out his tentacles far enough so they find sensitive areas on Fly's body and then... he begins to tickle her!
>If he can manage right, he should be able to do it just enough to loosen her grip and let himself free while she still snoozes. If he's too careless, he could end up with a very cranky awoken Fly.

>Oren listens to Raider's explanations about anti-scent glands.
Oh, weird... I guess it's better than rolling in a dead animal or something to cover your scent, like dogs do, though!
>Oren snickers at Raider expecting too much from his shows.
You gotta start small at first. The magical thing about theater is you don't really need to much to do it. Just need some people interested in acting, maybe paint up some wooden props and backdrops, and you've got all you need to put on a show!

>Cato catches her tail mid wag and runs their paw up and down her lower body
>She tenses and her gaze goes half lidded
>Hornys back, that didn't last long...
Oh, you're insatiable... Y-You're probably right though. I'm sure you've noticed that I'm kind of a nympho...

>Raoul wrenches his attention off the dreaming monster and looks up at Ignis, nodding with Raider in agreement.
>When they’re about to leave, he gives the thief a well deserved pat on the back and an appreciating nod, before he forgets to reward this stunning display of trickery he wasn’t able to observe.
>The careful critter waits for everyone to head out, remaining in the back of the line to make sure the other Pokémon doesn’t suddenly decide to get its item back and run up on them.
>Back in the starting area, the nidoran fills his lungs with the stale dungeon air and lets out a deep sigh, now that the mystery of those predatory eyes has been lifted.
>Lulu is quite the adorable sight and a soothing one no less in this dreadful dungeon, and while she makes Raider’s heart not only leap for joy, but also wakes Ignis’ instincts to help, Raoul remains cautious.
>The pink blob lurks behind their stalwart protector, looking the ponyta twice over with a piercing gaze from behind strong, orange scales, while she tells her tragic tale.
>So far, this place got the better of him twice and he isn’t going to get caught off guard a third time.
>Sceptic as he may be, common courtesy demands a modicum of politeness, and so he dips his horned head as a greeting.
It’s a pleasure meeting you.
>Raider is getting an odd look from his companion, as he is swooning for Lulu, but there are no complaints from his side so far.
>Raoul isn’t even protesting, when their resident charmer offers their help so freely and out of nowhere.
>For a moment, his gaze wanders over to the hallway with the fork splitting their path, wondering if that ominous giggle is still present.
>Feeling Lulu’s hopeful eyes rest on him, his attention is quickly drawn back to her.
>Keeping his eyes trained on the unicorn, his words are directed at Ignis.
Do you want to help them?

>Ignis remains cautious as they follow behind the mysterious stranger
>She does notice the distinct clip-clop of their walk. An equine pokemon?
>Once they're back in the light and the Galarian Ponyta comes into view, Ignis pauses and looks them over
Wow. You look like a my little pony.
>Ignis can't help observing out loud, then shakes her head
Sorry... go on!
>As the pony- Lulu as it turns out- explains her situation, Ignis feels more and more glad she listened
>While she still has a level of skepticism, she's finding it harder and harder to imagine this Lulu is setting up some elaborate ruse to trick them
Nice to meet you, Lulu.
>Although Raider is totally head over heels, it seems, offering help without a care in the world!
>...Not that Ignis was about to outright deny Lulu, anyhow
>Meanwhile, Raoul is certainly the most skeptical of the three
>Ignis doesn't blame him, and honestly it might be a good thing that one of them isn't taking what she says at face value.
>Raoul's question only gets a moment of consideration before she nods
Of course. It'd be pretty messed up if we didn't, right?
>She reaches down and pats Raider on the head, then nods her head toward Raoul
This is Raider, and he's Raoul. We'll help! Besides, having some extra help couldn't be a bad thing, especially when the dungeon's so...
>Once again, the bizarre appearance of the grass dungeon gets a glance from the dragoness
...Weird.

Yeah, I get that. If you charge, fewer people are gonna see it and it loses the whole point, but at the same time, if you can't earn some money, you won't be able to rent the stage
>Raider hmms
I guess if you don't need to eat or drink, money becomes less of a thing to think about, huh. I'm kinda envious. Just one more reason for me to want to be a ghost. Hehe~
>Raider cracks up again
Wha?! Gross! Nobody does that!
>Oren is right, not every show is going to be some grand musical, especially here in this less technologically advanced world
I guess I need to get my head out of the clouds. I'm thinking too big, too much Canis mentality. If you kept it simple, like a community theater, it could be much more doable!
>Raider gives Oren a little side-eye smirk
Wouldn't hurt to keep the pyrotechnics though, even if they're little ones.
>Raider let's out a big yawn, with that weird doggy tongue curl and everything
Man I hope we get there soon, all this bumping and banging around is making me crazy... What do you wanna do when we get there? I wouldn't mind checking out the beach or sniffing around the markets before we shove off to Canis.

>Fortunately, the sleeping pokemon remains where it lays
>As the gang leave the darkness behind, they can rest a little easier
>Lulu looks back at Ignis after her little observation and giggles
>She doesn't turn her head to look at Ignis, just cranes her head up and up and up until she looked so far up that she's looking behind herself
"It's Pony-ta, silly Billy!"
>Lulu's mannerisms are undeniably cute, even though she seemed pretty nervous in the dark
>Raoul's almost hostile body language isn't lost on the Ponyta
>Lulu makes eye contact with Raoul as he speaks to her
"Likewise..."
>For a brief moment, the look she wore disappeared and something more calculating took its place, but the friendly look returned as her gaze shifted to Ignis
>The change was too quick for Ignis or Raider to notice, but Raoul almost certainly saw it
>Maybe she just didn't like the look he was giving her...
>The unexplored hallway was as silent as the rest if the dungeon, at least as far as Raoul could tell
>Lulu beams at Ignis
"Its super splendiferously amazing to meet you too!"
>Once Ignis is on board, Lulu does celebratory tippy taps with her hooves and nuzzles Raider affectionately
>Raider absolutely swoons...
"Thank you! You won't regret this!"
>She looks up at Ignis
"This place being weird is actually why Ratchet wanted to come here. He wants to fix it!"
>She trots towards the hallway that they didn't go in before
>Raider didn't hesitate at all and practically bounded along by her side
So, Lulu, your partner's name is Ratchet? What's he look like?
>Probably good to know what they're gonna be looking for after all
"I, uh, don't really remember what his kind are called, but he walks on 2 legs and has long hair and these big pointy ears!"
>For someone that was terrified not too long ago, she sure is carefree all of the sudden

>Ignis has to wait suspiciously long for her answer.
I suppose it would be.
>All he has to add to being put on display is a lazy wave, really.
>Everything about this bubbly cartoon pony barfing sunshine and rainbows rubs him the wrong way, and it gets even worse, when he catches the short, but evident glimpse behind her overly joyous facade.
>The rat’s dislike appears to be mutual.
>This sickly sweet attitude is going to turn his stomach upside down sooner rather than later, he knows it.
>Another inaudible sigh rolls over his lips, now that she has properly convinced Team Comet to support her on her quest.
>Raoul casually shrugs, as if giving in to fate and accepting their wish to help.
Alright then. Let’s go find your friend.
>Oh, they are totally going to regret this.
>Raoul puts on a neutral mask himself, hiding his distrust behind a shallow smile, that sometimes joins one of Lulu’s happy outbursts.
>As he learns a little bit more about his company eagerly showing off their trusting nature, he strolls behind the group as their rear guard, from where he can keep a constant eye on ponyta.
>He blinks a bit dumbfounded, when he hears her plain description.
>Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?
Do you remember anything else? Is he taller than you? Does he have fur, skin or scales, what colour does he have? Anything else that sticks out, like a huge spike on paws and chest? What type does he have?
>>

>That's one worry they can put behind them
>She didn't expect Lulu to tilt her head basically 180 degrees like that, blinking in surprise
Er. Right, Ponyta. Still learning all the names, haha!
>Now that she isn't a mysterious pair of eyes glinting in the dark, Lulu is rather cute!
>Meanwhile, Lulu's momentary calculated look is totally lost on Ignis, she just thinks that the poor Ponyta is in over her head in a weird dungeon that's supposed to be for beginners!
>Ignis blinks at that... intense reply.
Huh, you even talk like one too.
>Is she made of gumdrops and rainbows? She might just be!
>The news that her friend wants to fix this place is interesting
It needs fixing? I've heard the dungeons change every time you come in. Is it... stuck like this?
>If that's true, this is a lot more worrying than she thought. And of course there's still the Miltank to worry about...
>Raoul is probably right, but Ignis and Raider are none the wiser!
>Ignis tilts her head slightly in response to that description
Tall, two legs and pointy ears?
>She doesn't know enough to say whether or not that narrows it down, letting Raoul ask further questions

>Lulu happily smiles at Ignis
"Yeah there's so many different kinds of people that it's hard to keep track of all the names. I mean the same person could have three different names! Its all just too much!"
>Lulu doesn't quite understand what Ignis is referring to
"I talk like a what now?"
>Lulu is happy to try to provide more info
"So, basically, Ratchet found this weird item that can apparently modify a dungeons settings and he wanted to change the dungeon from grass type to Fairy."
>Raider's curiosity peaks, this sounds like a very powerful item...
"The thing is, you have to use it at the very end of the dungeon and we tried to use it as soon as we got in and ever since, it's been... like this... then we got separated"
>Raoul's question is answered pretty quickly with no signs of trickery
"He's about the same hight as me. No fur, just skin except for on his head. He's green from the waist down and kind of a purply pink color everywhere else. Oh! He's also got a long pointy nose! Youll definitely know him when you see him!"
>Poor Miltank must have been in here when they used the item and got caught up in the craziness
"We better get moving..."
>Lulu enters the hallway and takes a right
>Seemingly she wasn't lying when she said she knew the way
>The hallway was rather uneventful, but the next room had an angry oddish and a small pile of coins

>>83416100
(I can give a short summery of the events.)

(Vex took a job to the fairy dungeon as one of the Zorks had gone missing after going there. When Vex reached the bottom he'd found the Zork enthralled by the fairies which left em in a coma, as he'd made himself a pest to them. A gang of Tinkatuffs and a Tinkaton emerged to try and stop Vex, which ended up in a fight that escalated to the point where in a desperate move, a temporarily Mega evolved Vex destroyed the fairy dungeon, leaving the Pokemon inside displaced. It's also where Audrey was living at before. There's also a bit involving a Mawile named Morrigan that Vex will encounter at Lapras Bay at some point.)

Thank you, Carrie. Still, I would prefer that neither of us become indebted to some unfamiliar entity. We can locate someone on our own.

Yeah, he had it rough, but he put up with it anyway because of how much Fly and I loved to play in the snow.
>Luke wouldn't allow Yuki's grave to go unmaintained
I don't know, Fly isn't the sort that gets spooked easily. I wouldn't put it past her to sneak off on her own.

Snows pretty fun! Today w-was my first time seeing it. Kind of sh-shocking at how it was the complete opposite of the d-desert when I touched it. Hehe, Fly taught me what a s-snowball fight was, that’s how we became friends!

>Definitely not. Fen would be more than happy to assist. It’s the right thing to do
Well if she d-does, I have good ears so I’ll hear your bell ringing when she t-tries to slink off when I’m asleep or something!
>Time will tell! Yuki has a lot of catching up to do with Fly and how much she’s changed after her death
How come you think g-gods don’t plan to do good stuff? Was Palkia r-really that much of a bad guy? Well, if that’s the case and t-they try to do something terrible, you can go b-beat them up again, hehe!

>It’s why the other wisps are very animated in their gestures when communicating to someone other than Fen. Yuki will get used to it as she gets more comfortable with her undeath
Oh, you don’t know e-either? That’s ok, it seems pretty hard, you aren’t a d-dummy! You know way more stuff than I d-do!
>He sighs and rolls the quill around in his paws as he squints back over to the receptionist. They did seem busy when he approached
>Mmmh, yeah, I d-don’t want to burden anyone…
>As Yuki ponders, Fen starts to doodle a little Baxcalibur on the bottom of the page. He may not know how to write, but he can draw little stick figures!
>Hearing Fly knows how to write brings back his smile
She does? Fly’s so cool… I wonder if she and L-Luke would be willing to teach me! We can go check if she’s s-still napping then, let’s go!
>Fen bundles everything up and skips back towards Raider’s room

>Good.
Speaking of, I’d kindly ask you not to read my thoughts, if you can help it.
>We’ll see about that.
>Raoul nods along, forming a mental sketch for this episode of “Who’s that Pokémon?”
>He actually has a pretty decent image of what Lulu is hinting at, but won’t spoil the fun for their dragon to figure it out herself.
Any guesses who she’s describing?
>It makes sense, that the dungeon is in upheaval and tries to scare off any intruders with such intensity, if they really want to mess with its very nature.
>Miltank seems to be a victim of circumstance of sorts.
>Wrong time, wrong place and all that.
>Try as she might, Lulu won’t ease the nidoran’s suspicions, no matter how kind and open she presents herself, but at least the pony has his attention.
>For better and for worse.
>Raoul raises an eyebrow, as he witnesses Oddish just dash past the unicorn and goes straight for Raider.
>Unsure if Ignis will wait for the nidoran to step up and get this poor fool like she suggested, he runs up on the walking plant, before the confusion can put Raider into a tough spot.
>As he uses Peck, the spear prodding from his head begins to glow in a gentle, bright blue colour.
>Without hesitation, Raoul starts viciously shanking the dungeon critter like some thug in a dark alley, after being told he couldn’t have their wallet.

(Its all got. Take all the sleep you can get.)

>All the talk of mind reading reminds Ignis that this little pony is indeed a psychic type
>Has her mind already been read? Can you feel that happening?
How's that work anyway? Is reading minds hard?
>She can't help asking about it
You're telling me... I'll remember it all eventually, I'm sure.
>Lulu's question gets a chuckle from Ignis, but how does she explain this? She isn't sure if Lulu is a former human.
Oh, like a character from a... children's story. A bunch of brightly colored ponies who act like they're made of sunshine and rainbows.
>That should work well enough as an explanation!
>The news of an item that can actually -change- the dungeons comes as a shock to Ignis
Something like that exists?! Where'd you find it?
>This sounds like a lead! Maybe whatever it is could help her find a way back to her world?
>As Lulu continues describing her friend, Ignis has a good enough image to know not to attack them on sight, but...
(I think I know which pokemon it is, but Ignis doesn't!)
Well, I'm pretty clueless about pokemon so I'm hoping one of you two know which Ratchet is!
>This certainly explains how this all happened, looks like they'll end up solving this whole mess at the same time!
>And onward they go, only for an Oddish to charge them out of nowhere
Huh?
>It... ignored Lulu? That's weird, did she use a move or something? Ignis isn't sure, but there's more pressing matters!
>She's about to act when Raoul jumps into action!
>What a hero! How gallant! He's... shanking the Oddish to death. Brutal, but efficient!
>Ignis takes the opportunity to step between the likely defeated Oddish and Raider
You alright? Looked like they got you for a moment there.
>At the same time she gives Lulu a curious look
Why'd it run past you like that? Do dungeon mons normally do that?
>She doesn't sound suspicious, just genuinely curious. This must be some dungeon mechanic she wasn't aware of!

(no worries!)

That sounds like how Fly would make friends! I need to get Luke to take you and Fly to our mountain sometime to play in deep snow. Its so much more fun when you can dig tunnels and cause avalanches!
>Especially when the avalanche buries some poor Flygon and you get to laugh at them from the safety of your tunnels
Me too, I may not really be able to play in it, but snow is calming just to look at. So pretty...
>Fly is gonna be sad when the snow leaves
Oh yeah, shes wearing my bell now. Wish I would have thought of that before. I might still be alive. Hehe~
>She certainly does, after everything she's been through, change was bound to occur
Palkia just attacked us on sight. Anyone that overly aggressive and short sighted can't possibly have good intentions. We weren't even trying to fight him, we just wanted to see him and take pictures.
>Yuki doesn't think that beating Palkia would be anything close to simple
We barely survived. We even tried to run but he chased us. If Luke wasn't as good a trainer as he was... If he missed the recall beam even once or if he was a split second too slow my best friends would have been killed. His attacks tore apart granite like paper. I only beat him because my friends wore him down before I came out. I don't ever want to fight someone like that again...
>Yuki was honestly thankful that Fen interrupted her trip into the past, she was starting to tremble

>For someone as social as Yuki, it is pretty disheartening, but she'll learn eventually
Only because you can't remember anything! I bet you were really smart!
>Yuki didn't say anything, but she adored the little doodle from the way she reacted to it
Yeah, she is. She's gonna be stronger AND smarter than Luke and me put together. I just know it!
>Fly was her pride and joy and she had absolute confidence in her daughter's potential
>Yuki tucked herself into Fen's vent just in case Fly was awake
>She didn't want to show herself until Fen was ready to tell her himself

>Lulu starts to giggle at Raoul's request and gives him a little wink
No promises~
>The explanation that she reminds Ignis of a children's story doesn't seem to change her confused expression, but she doesn't push
>Ignis's question, however seems to fill her with enthusiasm
Oh no, not at all! Its SO easy! Sometimes I do it without even realizing. Watch!
>Without gaining further permission, her horn glows and Ignis can feel something poke into her mind, it doesn't hurt, but it does feel kinda intrusive
>Suddenly Lulu's voice rings in her head
<Tah-dah! Now we can talk to eachother without talking!>
>It may have been a bit rude, but after a moment, her horn stops glowing and the connection is severed
"I won't keep the link going unless you want me to though. No worries!"
>Raider suddenly looks concerned
Uh, Link? Ignis, are you alright? What did she do?
>Raider is also shocked to hear about an item like that, even more-so that the state of the dungeon is party her doing
W-Wait a minute, YOU are the reason this dungeon is fucked up?
>The accusation from Raider makes her flinch
"I-It wasn't me! Ratchet is the one that found the thing, I just wanted to help him make us a new home after our old one was destroyed."
>Raider immediately softens his tone
A-Anyway, don't worry, we'll help you find Ratchet and maybe then we could fix this dungeon.
>As for what Ratchet is...
I'm not too familiar with Fairies, but he sounds like one of those uh, Impidimp things but evolved.

>Raider squeaks from the attack, but dashes behind Ignis as she moves to protect him
Y-Yeah, I'm fine.
>Luckily, Raoul's attack was a lot less loud than a flamethrower, but...
>Lulu lowered her head and launched a potent Psybeam into the Oddish, finishing it off after Raoul's attack
>Her attack was quite loud
>Now that the threat was cleared, she smiled up at the dragon
"Maybe he was scared of me?"
>Raider didn't buy that, but he wasn't inclined to accuse her of wrongdoing just from that

That s-sounds like a fantastic time! I’ve been curious about your mountain since F-Fly was mentioning it a bunch. I can’t imagine that much snow, someone m-might have to carry me so I don’t sink into it, hehe!
>Maybe no more snow-related catastrophes
I l-like how it glitters in the sunlight. Fly’s scales remind me of that, that’s why I think she’s pretty even if she s-says she isn’t
>Maybe there’s a treasure that could make some snow on command
>…Like a snow globe!
>Now -that- would be an excellent gift
Hehe, maybe we n-need to get her a second one! And I need to g-get one for Raider…
>Fen slows and stops as Yuki starts retelling some of the details from their battle
>It sounds rather harrowing…
>Fen’s ears on back against his head as Yuki’s flame begins to tremble and flicker
>As Fen tries to find the right words to say, he pulls the little fireball into a tight hug
It’s ok, if something bad like t-that pops up I’ll make sure we all run and get out safe, you d-don’t have to worry about fighting scary things like that anymore
>Once she calms down, Fen releases her and gives her a somber smile
Sounds like you g-guys were really brave and h-had a lot of trust in each other to make it out of that…

>Fen definitely will try to find a way for Yuki and the others to speak, that’s a promise!
>Fen blushes and rubs the back of his head
I uhm, I dunno a-about that, but thanks for believing in me!
>He chuckles at her reaction and tears it off with a claw to save for later. Maybe they can display it somewhere for her to enjoy!
Yeah, Fly’s the best! If anyone can be the strongest and s-smartest, it’s her!
>With how openly they’ve been chatting together, he was slightly confused when she retreats inside him, but then remembers that he still needs to tell Fly

H-hey guys, we’re back! Can you uhm, help us write a note?

>This mean spirited attempt on a life is anything but chivalrous, but at least Ignis seems impressed of Raoul’s straightforward style dealing with things.
>His time in the limelight is quickly stolen by Lulu, however, when she simply decides to obliterate this defiant piece of shrubbery with her magical death laser.
>Raoul skitters back at a moments notice with wide eyes and almost stumbles over his feet, trying not to catch some stray energy from the psychic ray.
>He shoots an unamused glance at the unicorn, but swallows the insult on the tip of his tongue and lets it slide.
>She knows how to blast someone away, he’ll give her that.
>Not only Raider remains unconvinced, but that’s hardly news from the nidoran.
>Speaking of, he checks up on the nickit as well, but when their thief is reassuring everyone he's fine, the spiky blob gives him a quick tap on the shoulder.
Yeah, you'll live. Still, tell us, when you need a break, okay?
>Now that the threat has been properly dealt with, the rodent slinks back behind his mighty orange bulwark, from where he can keep watch for the party again.
This place is not stopping, until we’re out of here. The sooner we find your friend, the better.
>Aggressive enemies, a telepathic laser unicorn, an artifact that can alter the very nature of dungeons and said dungeon is out to get them.
>Overall, this is actually a pretty exciting plot for a first dungeon experience, but you know how it is.
>You proudly tell tales about it over a beer or five, after you survived the story.
>Until then, there is plenty of time to offer false smiles to Lulu and bother her with all kinds of unpleasant questions.
Come to think of, what will happen to the inhabitants of this place, once you’re done “fixing” it?

>Ignis figured that might be confusing, but it's not really worth explaining the intricacies of children's cartoons to Lulu
>When Lulu offers a demonstration, the dragon's eyes widen
Wait, what?
>And then her horn glows and Ignis feels something poking her mind
>She looks concerned, though her expression shifts to curiosity when the pony's voice echoes in her mind
Woah. Actual telepathy, huh?
>The connection is gone almost as soon as it was made, Ignis brings a claw up to rub the back of her head, glancing down at Raider when he speaks up
Oh, uh. Connected to my mind, I think? Sent me a telepathic message and then broke the connection.
>She glances back over to the Ponyta
Yeah let's avoid that. Neat as it was, I don't think many people enjoy having their minds messed with.
>And then as they have their back and forth, Ignis is thinking over what they should do.
Hmm... well, we'll figure it out when we find him. I think the first step is rescuing who needs rescuing, then go from there.
>Raider gets a curious glance
Impidimp?

>It helps when their opponent is basically a mindless monster.
>Don't worry Raoul, your efforts didn't go unnoticed!
>Ignis looks concerned as the Psybeam shoots out, but thankfully Lulu has good aim
>It was also loud... she glances around just in case something heard them
>Back to Raider, seems he's alright
>So much was happening already! It was probably time to get a move on!
>Ignis looks thoughtful when Lulu offers her explanation
I... don't know if those things feel fear.
>She shrugs
Oh well! Lead on, you say you know how to get further in, and I don't know about you guys but I don't think we should linger

>Raider looks fine, absorb is a weak move
>Raider shows Raoul an appreciative smile
Yeah, I will. I'm under no illusions that I'm a powerhouse or a tank...
>Raider gives Lulu an unamused look
Lulu, sweetheart, going forward, can we assume that nobody is okay with having telepathic connections made with them?
>Her response is simply a giggle and a little "Sorry!"
I agree, we need to find Miltank ASAP.
>Raider smirks at Ignis
Little gremlin guys. They're pink and as you can probably guess by the name, very impish.

>Lulu suddenly looks a little uncomfortable when the residents of the dungeon are brought up
"Uh, I don't really know. We will probably change the dungeon to be more like an enchanted forest so Fairies AND Grass types can be comfy."
>She starts to fidget again
"A-Anyway, you guys are right, we need to get going if we're gonna save Ratchet!"
>She doesn't address Ignis's comment about the spawns not feeling fear
>Lulu trots along heading towards the next hallway expecting everyone to follow along
>Raider however takes a short detour to grab the small pile of coins
>Raider quickly counts out the coins and stashes them in his tail before rejoining the others
>Cutesy as she is, Lulu is pretty strong
>She easily blows away Oddishes and Bellsprouts with a single attack when they appear in the hallways
>Eventually, they come across the room with the staircase
"Here it is! I told you I knew the way!"
>Along the way, they found a pecha berry, an Oran Berry, and a set of Gravelerocks, which Raider offer to Raoul
So you have a ranged option!
>Lulu seems so happy that she prances up to the stairs, bounding high enough to skip a step or two
>Unfortunately, Raider doesn't skip steps and triggers a trap
>Poison needles shoot up into his paws, inflicting poison of the little fox...
Damn it! That hurt!
>The trap shatters and Raider limps weakly over to Ignis
C-Can I get that Pecha berry we picked up?
>Raider doesn't look like hes having fun anymore...

You're kind of a bad influence on me, I think.
>They bring her closer to their face slowly.
I suspect you might be using some sort of ghost magic on me to lower my inhibitions and make me bolder~

Hey, if you wanna be a ghost so badly, I know a way... just need a rather large rock and for you to trust me...

>No, there's something much more tempting to him...
>He rolls out from her grip and moves to her rear end.
>He pulls out a few tentacles to tickle her tail and legs. Even though he had sex with her, Oren is a perv at heart, and never really got a good look at her equipment in the heat of battle.
>If things go to plan, Oren will get a nice view before he curls back up to rest, and Fly will be none the wiser.

Hehe~ Yeah, I'm sure Luke won't mind. He might insist since you're nice and warm.
>No way! That's half the fun!
Aww, that's so sweet! People only ever think about the blades on our backs, but we take a lot of pride in our scales, especially the ones on our face. It's part of the reason we wear these masks. Fly must have not been keeping up with her polishing. Hehe~
>Fly would probably really like that if she is going to live in the desert, a little reminder of home
Yeah, he needs a bell too. Those Nickits are so damn quiet when they want to be.
>Traumatic as her memory was, Yuki was a strong girl, she quieted down as Fen hugged her
We did our best. Luckily, it was enough...
>Yuki sighs
You can't always run, that's why I became strong. I guess even that wasn't enough though. Keep your friends close, Fen. No matter how strong you are, if you're alone, all it takes is one little mistake to end it all.

You're definitely a smart cookie, Fen!
>The light from her form brightens a little
You've got a lot of potential too. I think you'll be able to keep up with her no matter how strong she gets. I mean, if you consider us Wisps as part of your power, you're already stronger than she is.

>There are plenty of ways for the nidoran to contribute to the adventure, not only in flashy acts of violence.
>Raoul looks up at Ignis with a smirk and presents her with thoughts clearly meant to stay in his pretty little head.
Wouldn’t it be a cruel twist, if they not only feel fear, but also all the pain you inflict on them?
Imagine, you are enslaved to this vicious cycle and forced to protect this dungeon, where you get killed in the most gruesome way the current home invader happens to come up with at the time, only to be reborn and made to march into this never ending meat grinder?
>Raoul allows his gloomy theory to sit in the room, enjoying sharing it a bit too much.
>Before he cut himself on that edge and actually sours the mood, the walking pincushion just shakes his head and discards his theory.
Nah, that would be ridiculous. Makes me wonder, if the sentient residents of this place are also part of this cycle of rebirth, though.
>Lulu seems awfully tense and eager to change the subject, but that doesn’t stop the vile thing from poking the pony even more after a little while.
Probably, huh? I see. What happened to your old home in the first place?
>All the while, he lingers in the back and watches, how Ponyta dispatches one enemy after the other with ease.
>She not only knows how to fight, but also her way around this place. Neat!
>Raoul looks at the nickit, confused about the undoubtedly generous offer, but takes the pile of stones regardless.
Oh! Uhm, thank you? I don’t really have a sling with me, you know? But I guess I get to train my throwing arm a bit more.
>Now he can live out his inner hooligan and throw rocks at people!
>Raider really got the short stick of the dungeon today, huh?

I bet a Vulpix would be pretty good at that. I know a few in Canis that would probably love an excuse to get the heck out of the city for a while.

By all means.
>Carrie leans into a bow, directing Veritas, Securis, & Lorica to exit stage right. She can't help but notice the stiffness seen in the three of them as someone arises from the horizon & she peeks under her shoulder at the salacious salamander making her march towards the party of four.
Ah, & when contact *is* made, I wouldn't mind hearing the juicy details for myself. You can say I'm a little intrigued.
>She reassumes her bored expression & judgmental posture like normal.
Farewell.

>Then there were two.
My reputation precedes me.
>That isn't how the saying goes...but Carrie almost certainly means it that way. How could mere memories hold a candle to her greatness?
Actions speak louder than words, dear. But you can hold off on prostrating yourself in public until someone demands it from you.
>She's a little on the nose, but only because the minun knows Lilith is bound to feel some guilt over what transpired, so Carrie can get away with being confidently crass to someone who's too busy boiling in the shame of such a *horrific* tragedy!
>Plus, getting a free "lie down & wallow before me" card to use would make for great painting material. Lilith's crude body would be great artistic study to compare to Carrie's angelic & balanced form. Even if she's lacking in the salazzle's... volume.
It seems like she was looking to speak with you, but her & her clique are a little nervous. They seem the shy sort, awkward & well-meaning. Why do you ask?

I only need one confidence boost per day, the facts keep my ego company already.
>Audrey snickers, raising an eyebrow as Evelyn traces that funny image on her chin.
Most supervillains are doctors. You're just making me out to be even better!
>She gently & playfully brushes that hand away with her own along with a smile.
Besides, we'd just have to go the bath house again. That sounds like another fun trip to me, if anything.

(Also. There's surprisingly not a huge amount of art of that. You'd think someone giving a love chomp as they're blasting a load from a stuffed knotted dick would be a slam dunk, particularly with feral mons but apparently not many artists have done so. Honestly a shame cos its hot!)

I'm sure I'll live forever, so as long as you're with me when you snuff it, I'll catch ya!
>Oren pouts a little at Raider telling him to be on good behavior.
Hm... how about you allow me to run wild, and once I get driven out of town, that's our cue to leave for Canis?
>>
>>83453416
Y-yes of course! If there ever is something I can help you with just tell me.
>Lilith looks quite nervous.
I just feel bad about what happened. I'd prefer if we could all get along but...
To be honest I'm pretty scared of them. I've seen what they can do and I'm not experienced with fighting at all. And with her type advantage...
>She breathes in and out trying to calm herself down. Then she sighs and shakes her head.
I shouldn't assume they'd attack me. That's how I ended up in this mess to begin with.
>Looking around for something to distract her she spots the presents under the tree.
Oh right, that's what I came here for in the first place. An orange dragon told me there are Christmas presents for everyone. Hers was pretty weird though...
>She looks around and indeed finds one addressed to her.
Hmm...

>The train of carriages thundered along without too much further issue over the next few hours.
>By the time the bay was within sight though, the sun had fallen quite low in the sky
>From the last stretch in the distance, the light of the town could be seen growing brighter and brighter as they approached the walls.
>Before too long the thundering footsteps of the Tyrantrums finally came to a stop, the two letting out a triumphant roar as they stopped at the western gates, spooking a couple of merchants and travellers waiting in line to get into the city
>The Oasis Caravan was the last, the guards approached, eyeing off the group, particularly the Tyrantrums and Luke
>Unlike Zed’s guards, these pokemon were armed and armoured with steel weapons and plate
>Zed pulled out a writ and handed it to the captain, a rather ornery looking Zangoose, who took it and opened it up
You’re the Oasis group? We were told you’d be arriving three days ago.
>She looks out and around
We’re closing the gates, bring this lot inside and we’ll do the inspections inside

>The caravan lumbered through the gate, the returning patrols the last in as the huge wooden doors slowly creaking shut behind
>Zed handed the captain their inventory and list of passengers, having added Luke to it along the way.
We also picked up some bandits who tried to attack us along the way, we hope you’ll be willing to take them off our hands?
>Zed then called out
RIGHTYO, WE’RE HERE. EVERYONE OUT!

>The captain grumbled and rolled her eyes
So not only are you the last to arrive, three days late but you’ve brought prisoners with you? If I had known I’d have told you to stay out for the night.

>Zed gets up and stretches as well, then takes some of the items out of his hair, along with his bangle
Yeah, to be fair taking a dip in this pond was already on my to do list
>With that, Zed took a running leap and cannon-balled into the pool, the cool refreshing water enveloping him completely
>After spending a few moments beneath the surface he burst back up for a gasp of air
Come on in, the waters amazing!

>Soon after the Zangoose chews out the party, a Croagunk enters from behind the carriage.
>He wears an apron and a funny-looking hat, and carries a large, gnarled stick.
Now, Cap'n, that's no way to give a first impression, even if they are tardy.
>He puts a hand on the Captain's shoulder.
I'll take over from here. You deal with the security, I'll get these guys acquainted with the area.
>He turns to the Oasis travelers.
Greetings, I'm Hemlocke, representative of the Merchants' Guild, assistant to the Trademaster, and herbalist.
>He gives a polite bow.
Have any of you been to Lapras Bay before? If you'd like, I could give you a tour while your carriages get processed.
>>
>>83458768
>The guard captain was all too happy to hand things over to the Croagunk, less paperwork for her.
>Zed smiled and returned the greeting
Ah G'day there! Lovely to be here at last! And nah most of us haven't been here yet, though we do have one person. Certainly wouldn't mind a walk around town. Though I will of course leave a couple of my guards with our things if you don't mind.

>After a little more licking, Cato breaks away only to say:
Try not to be too loud, you wouldn't want the other 'mon looking over here, would you?
>And they immediately dive back in.
>This time with more vigor, taking care to circle their tongue around her clit.
>They lean forward, and her back hits the warm water... maybe they're trying to make it look less conspicuous.

>Having to watch over the prisoners was dull work. The only thing of note was some jeering, which died down when Vex didn't play along. Jack surely ended up falling asleep at some point, and he'll admit to have done the same a few times.
>Thankfully it seems they've finally reached their destination, with loud yelling having woken him up. With a big yawn he looks down at Jack, giving him a light poke with his foot to wake him up.
C'mon Jack. We're finally here, time to get up and smell the ashes.
>Chuckling at his own joke, he stands himself up and does a few stretches, a few pops giving him some much needed relief. Heading over to where he hung around before the mess with the bandits, he hangs his bag over him and makes sure his headband is on nice and tight. After which, he heads on out of the caravan.
>Another yawn escapes him as he takes his first look around. It's darker then he expected it to be, having assumed they'd get there while it was still light out.
>He's also baring witness to Zed talking to someone. Guard captain? Mayor? Someone of some import at least? He doesn't know, but he can find out as he walks up to them.
Hey Zed, finally made it eh? Took us long enough.
>His attention shifts to the frog.

Luke is a BIG guy, carrying both of you won't be any trouble to him.
>Yuki can't help but "dawww"
She definitely likes you a lot. I've never seen her so comfortable without a mask on. Showing your face is part of courtship for our kind and both males and females are harshly judged by the scales on our faces. Any little flaw or imperfection can give them the ick and lose you the love of your life.
>A warm hug never hurts when someone is upset
Good, I don't think you'd do well on your own, at least until your fire comes back.
>Yuki nods
I will, don't worry. Being dead kinda makes me care a lot less about what other people think about me.

You don't really need to worry about that. Strength is only part of what makes a mate attractive. You're very attractive in other ways.
>She doesn't really continue and just leaves it at that
Supporters are just as important as sweepers. I sure wouldn't be able to fight as well as I could without Char or Melody running support.

>Fen can feel mischief coming from Yuki in his vent
Hey Fen, whenever you're ready to leave, stare at Fly's face, not her eyes, her face until she notices, then grab her face and take a closer look at her face scales, lick each of her cheeks twice, and then leave without saying a word.
>She starts to giggle
Trust me!
>Fen doesn't have to go along with Yuki's obvious prank, but it could be some courtship ritual for her species
>Yuki isn't saying why he should do it, but clearly it means something...

>>83453714
>Fly's lean body, stained from his own fluids was probably a nice sight to Oren while it lasted, but alas, she was still nervous after getting walked in on earlier
>She mouths a silent "Sorry" to Oren, but when Fen's voice that comes from the door, she perks right up
Hiya, Fen! You wanted to see Vex?
>She happily reaches out and takes the paper
Sure! What did you want me to write?
>Her tail gently pats on the ground as she happily looks up at Fen, waiting for his instructions

>Nox was hanging upside-down from the ceiling of a cart and asleep when Zed's call woke him up. He yawns and skitters out through a window and on top of the wagon to stretch his wings.
>He takes in the familiar view of Lapras Bay while listening to Zed and the Croagunk he's talking to. While his exploration and cartography flights brought him to this town several times he wouldn't mind a guided tour.
>>
>>83458651
>Lilith climbs out of her wagon, looks around and takes in the salty sea air. She smiles. While her body doesn't mind the hot and dry desert climate at, all a change of scenery was long overdue.

>>83458768
>She listens to the fancy dressed and very well-mannered frog guy before introducing herself with a curtsy.
I'm Lilith, it's a pleasure to meet you~
>She takes a closer look at the plant parts(?) adorning his hat.
You said you are a herbalist? I'd love to learn more about your job as someone with a somewhat related profession. After the tour, of course.
>>
>>83458238
'Preciate it! Hehe~
>Raider's ears flick down
Y-Yeah, sorry, I guess I'm being a little overbearing. I just dont really want to to end up blacklisted or something so you can't ever come back. If you'd rather run around on your own, that's fine. I don't really want to spoil your fun.

>>83458651
>As the sky's darken and the lights of the city come into view, Raider excitedly gets up
Wooooo! We're finally here!
>Though his excitement is short lived
>The sight of steel weapons and armor suddenly made him quite nervous
>Zed's call to disembark had him gather up his things and don his cloak, hood up
C-Come on, Oren let's go.
>Raider did his best to slink out between the larger members of the group to not draw as much attention to himself
>His shifty nervous behavior probably didn't help that at all and his cloak only covered his body, his distinctively shaped and colored tail projected his species quite clearly to anyone even remotely aware
>Even if he did his best to hide it under his cloak and roses...
>>83458768
>The arrival of the Merchant did help ease his fears, but Raider still tried to avoid drawing attention to himself
>>83458833
>Raider was certainly happy that Zed was taking charge
>He wanted a tour of the place, but he really didn't want to start a conversation with the town guard still milling about

>>83456818
(Unf, that is definitely in need of more art. Another good one is a larger male holding their smaller partner's hips up off the ground so their little paws dangle in the air while he fills them. I like it better when they are held by paws, because dangling by their knot would probably hurt both parties... Pic related)

>>83458651
>knocked out of thought by Zed's call
>blinks a couple times, shaking head
>sticks head out of window
>big walls, unsurprising, ferals can be quite strong, do hope the other reason for walls is not applicable
>metal armor and weapons for wall guard? very surprising, wealth and technological estimate was way off
>what next? a particle cannon powered by a dozen electric types?
>stretches and floats out of carriage
>meanders around taking in the architecture and engineering of the city walls, getting a new gauge on the wealth of the city-state

>>83458768

"Right? Fairies and grass types usually get along pretty well anyway so that's why we came here."
>Lulu is all smiles that someone seems to be okay with their plan
>Raoul's musings about the nature of dungeon spawn's existence seems to go in one candy coated ear and out the other
>That is until he gets to the normal mons and Lulu shows that she was listening after all
"Nah, we just die, the dungeon eats us just like the spawns after a while if nobody else does. Its kinda gross, but at least we dont need graveyards."
>Well that's a bit morbid
>Lulu hesitates at Raoul's question
"Some big monster showed up and went on a rampage. It was awful! Sand started coming in and hurting everybody and then the whole dungeon collapsed. Our home was destroyed. We tried to live in some of the other dungeons, but none of them felt right."
>Raider is happy to give Raoul pointers
These things are special rocks, they kinda home in on bad guys so you just need to throw them high up and they'll fall right onto their heads. It's funny as hell!
>Raider really REALLY hated traps...
>After eating the berry, the poison was cured, but his paws still hurt so he happily accepted Ignis's kind offer
Th-Thanks Ignis.
>As he made his way to his perch, he looked over to Raoul with a deadpan expression
Ha ha...
>Lulu saw the whole thing
>She had a smirk on her face and her horn was lit up
>She was acting just like she did when she formed the connection with Ignis, only nobody heard her telepathic voice
>After a moment, her horn dimmed and she call toward the group
"Come on! The next floor will be a bit tougher. The further you go the stronger the spawns get!"
>Raider didn't look too please to hear that
Maybe we should leave after we find Miltank and tell the guild what's happening here? Zed will probably want to know what's going on and Lulu can put out a proper mission request for someone more experienced.
>Lulu was staring daggers at the fox, she REALLY didn't like hearing that

>That’s okay, the nidoran enjoys his sick jokes for both of them.
>Just as he was about to apologise to Ignis for this horrible attack on her conscience, Lulu chimes in and has him whip his big head around.
>He looks at her surprised, eyebrows sitting next to his horn from this macabre insight.
Damn, really? That’s grim. Makes sense, though.
>Who would’ve thought, she can score with the little stinker.
>The ponyta still has his full attention and he follows her tragic backstory, nodding once or twice, just to show he’s listening.
I didn’t knew dungeons could collapse, no less being destroyed.
>There are so many more questions burning in his mind, but he keeps them reserved for the next floor.
>Rocks locking in on targets and tracking them is just the kind of cheating bullshit that’s right up his alley.
Huh. Sweet. I’ll definitely try that out.
>So much fine loot, all liberated by Ignis and acquisitioned by Raider.
>He deflects the nickit with a toothy grin and as he tilts his noggin, his huge ears flop to the side adorably.
Oh, no need to be mopey about it. You can still have some of my “Nido Juice”, if you want~.
>There it is. Took him long enough.
>Even though his odd attempts at lifting the mood fail, the pecha berry is doing a good job making Raider’s run a bit less miserable.
>Raoul didn’t catch the fluffy pile of sugar ringing up someone, since he’s busy teasing the poor fox, but he definitely sees her glare at Ignis’ hat with such intensity, she could actually turn him into one.
>Quiet for another moment, the nidoran should be happy their thief is getting second thoughts about this, right?
A fair maiden needs your help and noble as you are, you uphold your promise made to her, don’t you? This dungeon can’t be that big. We can tell Zed after we’re done here.
>With that, he ventures on, down the stairs and deeper into the guts of this warped place.
Come, now. There’s still a lot of work ahead of us.

Fly makes it s-seem like -he's- the m-mountain, hehe! It'll be fun then!
>Courting is to strange and interesting. How did all of that come about initially? Seems really harsh though if the scales had to be PERFECT
>He blushes even more
I l-like her a lot too, I feel really c-comfortable around her. Wow, well uhm, I don't see any flaws in her scales, I think they're b-beautiful!
>He subconsciously starts to groom his face
I h-hope I don't forget to clean my face up, I d-don't want her to see any flaws in my fur!
>He nods at that. He definitely feels like he wouldn't do well at all by himself
>That's why he's glad he's got his friends
Good! I care about you a l-lot Miss Yuki, and I want to make sure y-you're happy!

>Fen's ears perk up as the Baxcalibur whispers her little prank
>He may not understand the whole meaning behind the ritual, but based on their talk earlier about their species courting behavior, he can only blush at the implication
>Fen can feel Oren's disappointment, so he'll hurry this along
>Guess he interrupted something
Yeah! My f-friends wanted to explore some more, and m-maybe get our room at the ghost place, and I figured maybe Vex would want to c-come along too
>He might also have some ideas on how his spirits could talk to others?
>Fen hands the paper over with a smile and plops down next to her. He wants to see her write out the words
Uhm, maybe like "Hi Vex, its Fen! My friends and I are going out into t-town again and we w-were wondering if you wanted to come along!". something like that!
>Fen watches her work the quill, trying to figure out how the words on the paper translate to what he said
>Once she's finished, he gives her a smooch on the cheek and takes the note and almost walks out the room when he remembered Yuki's prank
>Fen turns around and does exactly as she instructed
>And once he's finished, he runs out the door with a mad blush yelling
I'll catch you g-guys in a bit! Sorry for b-barging in!

>Ignis doesn't have any real attachment to the dungeons in the first place, it doesn't seem like Lulu's plan would do anything bad
>As for the eventual fate of all dungeon mons, Ignis has a look of sympathy
Wow, grim is right... but I suppose so long as it waits until you die... what's it like living in a dungeon anyway? I hear they change all the time.
>And then, after a moment...
...Do you ever think about leaving? Seeing the world outside?
>Her description of the monster's rampage does have Ignis looking slightly fearful
Something that can outright destroy dungeons? That sounds like a real problem
>Something they'd probably want the strongest in the guild to go against, really
>She can empathize with Raider's hatred, they seem really annoying! It sure is a good thing she hasn't run into any of them so far... who knows what could happen!
>The homing nature of gravelrocks is news to her
That's pretty neat, how do they do that?
>They're maaaagic rocks!
>With her fox hat back on her head, her eyes widen at Raoul when he goes a step further in his teasing
N-Nido juice?!
>This guy...
>It proves more than enough of a distraction for none of them to notice Lulu's secret message
>She glances over when Lulu calls after them to move on to the next floor, then her gaze shifts up to Raider
Feeling scared?
>With how he was perched on her head, Ignis doesn't miss that angry glare aimed in his direction
Um, Lulu?
>But meanwhile, Raoul is clearly raring to go! Goading Raider on and being the first to venture deeper inside
...Well let's just see how things go, alright Raider? Don't worry you can let me handle things if you're worried.

>Lulu doesn't seem too disturbed by it, it's just the way of things to her
"I wouldn't trade it for anything. The dungeon creates special rooms for us to live in. It makes food for us and takes care of us. I think dungeons are alive and I think they care about us..."
>Lulu looked unprepared for the question
"No. Our old dungeon was nice. It knew what all our favorite berries were and would always drop them close to our rooms. I miss it..."
>The monster was something that Lulu was truly terrified of
"He's a murderer as far as I am concerned..."
>Magic rocks are magic, Raider knows that from experience
I don't know, but they sure work! When I was little other kids used to throw Geo Pebbles at me and they were hard to dodge.
>Raider just snickers at Ignis's reaction to Raoul and his juice
Maybe when we get out of here. Hehe~
>The interaction did improve his mood
>As Lulu and Raoul make their way up the stairs, Raider whines a little
Yeah, I am. This is way above our pay grade. An item that can change dungeons, people would kill for an item like that...
>Raider lowers his head down and whispers
We need to take that Item from them. Not just to protect the dungeons, but them as well. If House Bellum ever learns about it, they would mobilize and leave Canis to come for it. They're bad, Ignis, really bad and there's a lot of them...
>He takes a breath and sighs
We should go.

>When Ignis decides to take the stairs, they end up in a large room, with several items strewn about
>It is every bit as silent as the floor before, but this time, all 4 hallways leading out of the room, were dark
>An Oren berry, a pile of coins, and a Gummi are in sight, but there is also a single tree next to it
>A tree with a face
>Lulu chimes in
"You wanna take that one Ignis? I'm starting to run out of Psybeams."
>The tree stands next to the Gummi, the tasty snack was tempting
>The tree didn't move, it was just standing there
