Are you saying that that all vore is basically imaginary and doesn't actually exist? Because then yes, whatever sexual "community" around it is an RP community.
If you're saying that such a thing can't connect people then whatever it's your hot take, but obviously you can fantasize about and feel attraction towards things you have no actual experience with. Like sex, just the same with other things that similarly compel you enough to imagine.

But if you're saying that vor(ar)ephiles aren't real because the feelings are towards something imaginary, then, no, that's wrong because obviously countless people feel that attraction towards it. I knew I liked it before I started feeling straight or gay or anything, never made any more sense why than there ever seems why for someone being gay and "sexuality" seems like the simplest categorization for it.

Remember sexualities say something about how you feel attraction, not anything about how you consumate an attraction.
