/scaly/ - Scaly General #1656

Post lewd reptiles and discuss scaly stuff, male or female is fine. Dragons, wyverns, dinosaurs, lizards, snakes, and reptile-folk such as kobolds and Argonians are welcome, on top of other things with scales like sharks as well. Anthros, ferals and human/scaly are allowed, but please, no monstergirls. As some may take a few creative liberties on their creations, do inquire if there's a particular edge case you're unsure about.

Topic of the thread: Would you have kids with your scaly SO? If so, how many?

By repeatedly having non-stop baby making sex with her, of course! Where there's a will, there's a way, and maybe there's some magic or faith along that way that might help.
The bigger question is if the kids are hybrids or not. I'd love it if the were, with a major part of them being from the mother's side to ease any birthing issues. I'm not sure a kobold wife will manage birthing human child sized eggs. Will it even be eggs?
>>
>>83438560
Oh, and depending on the financial situation (I don't want to work 24/7 and not see my wife and kids, please no) - up to 7. More than that and I'd have trouble remembering names and birthdays.
Probably more after the first 3-4 grow up.

Yes. And, yes.

Real question: If you scaly SO wants you to sire a human child from them, would you do it?
This was brought up in The Shining Wyrm.
>Jewel can't conceive with Paul
>so Paul has no heir
>This frustrates Jewel
>Jewel repeatedly finds him suitors to be his concubines
>Paul refuses them because it feels like betraying Jewel
>despite Jewel wanting him to do this
>they argue in bed about this
I would, it's not really cukolding each other if you are literally incompatible.
I'd also liken to RitR, where the bonded raptors get in groups of four to have offspring, with SideStripe encouraging and not hindering Owen's relationship with with Claire, I imagine she wanted to raise a human kid as well.
>>
>>83438851
>for* not from
obviously if you could have a human child with them there'd be no issue.

Send them on a gand fucking adventure to find a scroll or an atifact that lets them conceive or adopt a child.
It very much is infidelity/cuckolding otherwise.
>>83438729
Maybe adopt a child then instead of thinking about your dragon wife fucking another man?
>>
>>83438851
Anon, this is literally what kobolds are for.
It doesn't even count if it's with a kobold.
>>
There was a story I read a few years ago where a guy and dragoness paid a male dragon to swallow and let him do a body takeover spell from within. Sexy times ensues. One of the conditions from the male was to still be able to feel everything they'd do.

>Dragonborns in a setting are known as Dragonians
>genetically engineered from real dragons via flesh magic
>more or less the perfect blend of Draconic and Human genes
>their genes are also very dominant, so human/dragonian couples will always produce dragonian offspring
>they are all turbo freaks that will fuck just about anything that moves
>at least dragons keep mostly to themselves due to their collective ego and rampant specism (even amongst each other)
>in the far future, after scaliekind rightfully claims its position as the dominant life form on earth, they keep humanity around purely for fetishistic reasons
>humans are more akin to pets than citizens
>>despite that, they still have more rights than Kobolds
Why are kobolds so mistreated?
>>
>>83438903
>it's a setting with dragons and magic but also fertility magic is impossible because... reasons so one of the characters just have to cuckold the other, sorry I don't make the rules tee-hee!
It's a setting with almost genie-level magic fuckery.
Vampires were accidentally created while trying to stop a disease.
Jewel turned hundreds of men into childlike Waifs (basically Gollum) when she intended to make them suffer pain and die.
Words are power so wording is very important.

But also Tyrant Wyrms are special because they are literally beings of magic who aren't dead until you cut, burn the flesh, grind down the nigh indestructible and unmovable (Paul needs to watch where he touches on her body otherwise he will break himself climbing or laying on her) bones, burn those, then scatter all the ashes as far as you can to stop them coming back through sheer willpower.
Jewel lays eggs without being fertilized, and her spawn are herself in another body with weird conciousness shenanigans going on.
Her "part" is only a exit for the eggs that appears then vanishes when the deed is done.
She even has already laid a True Wyrm egg.
She is literally too alien to conceive with because she doesn't need to be fertilised.
Though It's been said they have tried at least once, and it was awkward for the both of them.
The book does end with one of her spawn hatching as human child instead of a kobold or anthro noodle though. And soldiers have tried hitting on her anthro noodle spawn because they look like young adult females after only 2 years of growth.
But again, that child is a spawn, so is literally herself in another body that’s only a temporary separate consciousness spill when far away.

But I agree there's some copping out going on.
The fact that Paul hasn't tried with one of the pawn is a cop-out.
Also why she hasn't formed a functioning human womb within herself with magic. I imagine she has shaped her own flesh with magic for a night to try with him.

Read it, it's one of the best scalywn stories.
Every time Jewel thinks she finally has things figured out, she ends up accidentally doing something with magic, or an undiscovered quirk of her body presents itself.
She gets frustrated later on because she asked a God for help and he replied "we can't do anything to you, you're on your own lol", she laments she literally has no one to blame her fortunes on but herself.

Also she does the bridal carrying at the end of her wedding to hurry away from awkward because of the drama at the end. One of the best scenes imo.

>TotT: Definitely.
I'd learn and use powerful magic and/or groundbreaking science to turn myself into the same species as her if necessary.

I am trying to understand what is happening with this dragon's neck? Is it like all scrunched up and getting really wide or doubling back but covered by her chin so you can't see the border of it so it looks huge? Is it like a doubled chin scenario where it's all fat or something and squished out? Also I would have kids with my dragon SO, at least one or two. God forbid they don't look like her with maybe my eye color and not a bunch of hafling abominations.

In an ideal world, yes and yes. Realistically, though, I'd weigh the risks. If the hybrid had a chance to turn out to be some sort of freak straight out of a John Carpenter movie, I probably wouldn't go through with it. I wouldn't be comfortable inflicting that fate on an innocent child.
Actually, one of my fantasies is post-ADVENT XCOM using the rediscovered Meld technology to develop a mod that allows human men to produce Viper sperm. Purely as a way to kick-start a viable Viper population, of course.

Unironically the majority of lore and content for kobolds was/is made for porn. In DnD they differ very little from goblins (crafty, small, wild, often subservient to a stronger leader from another species) and usually just have no niche.
And as with all porn the more people do it the more degenerate it gets. It's realy hard finding non-degrading non-group non-hyper stretching partner stuff with kobolds because of that. It's your job to pester artists and make comissions to change that.

Chimney's sweeping was probably one of the dirtiest, disgusting and hazardous to your health jobs that has ever existed. Accidentally opening your mouth just a touch or sneezing would give you several months of soot in your lungs. If you look closely the rags are covering their nostrils as well so it's acting as a homemade dust mask.

Also, no one want to hear kobolds talking.

Yes, and in an ideal setting I would have as many offspring as possible with my scaly wife. But realistically we would have around 7-12 kids, finances and time are big factors. Though I have 2 answers as to in what way my wife would get pregnant.

Realistic answer: Scaly species are female (males don't exist) and reproduce asexually. Beings that reproduce asexually still require sexual stimulus in order to reproduce, such as the New-Mexico "lesbian" lizards. So I would constantly fuck my wife to have offspring with her. And said offspring would be genetic copies of my wife.

Fantasy answer: In this setting I would be able to get my scaly wife pregnant with my sperm. So our offspring will be hybrids, but will lean towards my wife. Roughly 65% scaly, 35% human with slight variations. And in this fantasy setting, interspecies breeding is extremely common, so minimal miscarriages issues occur.

If it matters, I'm writing a story where three major characters are quite capable Kobolds. And two of them made dragons subservient to them (with the help of a sealed archdaemon possessing their bodies but that's not very important).

In my country during the 80s or so, there was a huge urban rumor that the rich Gokongwei family (who owned and still own our "Robinson's" mall chain) were keeping a snake-human hybrid at one of their malls, which would prey on women unlucky enough to be alone in the changing rooms.

This Medium article (https://medium.com/@l.po/the-real-life-monsters-of-manila-that-created-the-snake-man-of-robinsons-galleria-48927ac27333) talks about it at a decent level, all in English, and I've copied the key paragraphs below.

>This is the Robinson’s Snake-Man, the bloodthirsty half-man half-snake hybrid said to lurk under Robinson’s Galleria Mall, which devoured young women through Wile E. Coyote-style trap doors in the mall’s dressing rooms that would drop unsuspecting victims right into the Snake-Man’s secret dungeon. Said to be the son of Robinson’s Mall founder, the late John Gokongwei Jr. and the “kakambal na ahas” or mystical snake-twin of Robina Gokongwei-Pe, the legend goes that the Snake-Man was allegedly the source of the Gokongwei family ‘s wealth as it laid golden eggs and continues to haunt the major shopping center to this day.
The rumor has mostly died down, but people still meme about it occasionally (even moreso among older folk or ruralites). It probably evolved naturally from those lizard people conspiracies in the West and our natural xenophobia for rich Chinese merchants having lots of power in the country. Some also theorize that there really were poor girls being abused at the malls, with the snake story serving as a coverup.

Whether the Robinson's Snake Man is real or not, he's certainly left a strange cultural impression on the Philippines. I for one do hope he is a big cutie and doesn't actually do bad things to women... /scaly/, do you guys have equally strange stories about scalie-themed conspiracies in your countries/local areas, too??

It's been a while since I read the books, but wasn't the sandwing just neutral to the dragonets (except for Sunny, whom he had a certain affection for)?
The skywing was the one that treated them like trash (as a cope for having lost her own children) and the seawing was the one that was friendly, but also too weak to stand up against the female dragon.

There's not that many where I'm from. The most I can think of are some people claiming that there's giant man-eating caimans living in the sewers of Barranquilla.

If you count folk tales, then we have a few. The Alligator Man comes to mind. To make a long story short:
>a pervert goes to a shaman and buys two potions. One lets him turn into an alligator while the other turns him back into a human. He uses the potion that turns him into an alligator to spy on women when they bathe
>one day, the friend that gave him the potion to turn him back into a human got sick, so the pervert brought a replacement with him
>the new guy panicked and accidentally threw the potion that turned the pervert back into a human because he wasn't used to a person turning into a reptile
>in the most popular version of the story, the pervert became a half-man/half-reptile being who was ostracised and shunned by society
>however, I am pretty sure that I've heard a variation of the story where the guy stays as a full alligator for the rest of eternity

Another would be the Yacumama from certain indigenous tribes in the Amazon. It's about a giant anaconda that serves as some sort of impassive guardian spirit that protects the rivers. She also can "suck every living being if they are 100 meters from her," so do with that as you will.

For example he planned together with Kestrel on how to best murder Glory after Morrowseer wanted to get rid of her and in Glorys book she had memories about how she was mistreated by both Kestrel and Dune.

Of course.
Dragon moms in most stories lay 3 eggs, right? I'd be okay with that (but not more).
I'd prefer if my children were all dragons, and the only traits they'd (optionally) inherit from me to be traits that could naturally exist on dragons anyway. For example one of them could have a large bushy mane (sometimes western dragons have manes too, like pic), similar to my own stereotypical 80's metal guitarist hair, that is much more hassle than it's worth, but at least it's a novelty. I'd probably have to comb it for the child every day, and apologise hundreds of times whenever the brush pulls on it. Ah, the things we do for our loved ones.

Because she's not naturally a dragon. Her lore is that she's a Tiefling alchemist who's married to a Silver Dragoness (who polymorphs as a centaur in public). Her dragon and half-dragon forms are temporary transformations achieved through her alchemy experiments, and likewise aren't actually canon to the comic she's from.

Because the first thing people go to isn't "We'll adopt" or "She/he already has eggs", but specifically "I will have my dragon wife fucked by another man".
I have 0 issues with raising a child that isn't my own by some technicality, even if I would prefer to have my own children. But these people don't even consider IVF (and that would be rather easy considering how big dragons can get), it's instantly cuckoldry.

The character "Melissa Belladonna" was originally the owner's character from several DnD campaigns they played ages ago, apparently from before playable dragons were a thing (which is also apparently how they seduced and married the Silver - it happened in a campaign and they did a comic about it later). Because she was already an established character with several games' worth of lore behind her, simply going "she's a Red Dragon now" years after the fact really wasn't an option, hence the alchemical transformation bullshit.

I also did that as a kid, and it did a number on me. I wouldn't be here otherwise (either rambling about how sad it is that they always die, or just wanting to hug them). But honestly, I just don't feel brave enough to rewatch it. It's not just about the sadness, I want to preserve it in my mind the way I remember it. Now, I fear I might scrutinize it too much.

I've never seen Dragonheart 2, 3, and 4, but I heard that quality-wise, it's a steep downwards slope. I am considering watching them too, out of morbid curiosity.

Lacking evidence of protofeathers doesn't mean they didn't have any.

>Lacking evidence of protofeathers doesn't mean they didn't have any.
It does. Any animal with feathers has "scars" on their bones where said feathers were anchored (this is why you don't yank the feathers off of a bird). Close examination of Dromaeosaurid bones shows they did indeed have these scars (pic related), but there's no such evidence of scarring on any other form of dinosaur. If there's no signs that feathers were anchored to a species' bones, then that species did not have feathers to begin with; it's that simple. You don't even need a complete skeleton to confirm that.

having rewatched them recently, 2 is a definite downgrade but still has memorable moments.
3 and 4 is debatable, I'd say story has more depth than even 1 in those but it's a grittier, different type of tone. Also by 3 it seems they've finally nailed the design of a proper CGI dragon, it's clear it Drago gets redesigned into Siveth.

Thanks, I just checked the trailer.
Why did they have to make the hatchling look like a toddler though... Are small lizards not cute enough? Okay, that dragon is somewhat bird-like, and newly hatched birds are often not pretty, but still. Dragon hatchlings are usually criminally adorable.
There's even a meme about this, showing how most newborn animals are cute AF, and then there are humans...

>>
>>83457947
>feathers has "scars"
Always? Or was that an evolution only the dromaeosaurids and Ave line develop?
There had to be hairs or protofeathers without connection to the bone at some point. And for every fossil that doesn't have scars, they could have had something else we just don't know about.

>Hunting the wary and dangerous Bosornithoides is an important rite of passage for dinosauroids. The animals require coordination and group-work to bring down, and hunting one is a bonding experience for batches of young-adult nestmates. This ritual not only cements the dinosauroids' social standing in their tribe, but also bonds the hunters together for the rest of their lives. The four hunters-to-be in this picture are accompanied by a couple of jackal-birds (Cynornithoides), domesticated pets that are almost as smart as the dinosauroids themselves.

Even earlier than that though I used to listen to the soundtrack constantly when I was big into classical, the music was always so fucking good. But I think if jewel had a real (wyrm or hybrid) child, the book would be unable to focus on jewel. And a human child would be sort of cruel maybe.

Cut to the ending with the human wyrmspawn.
It's not a problem given the pov switching between Jewel, her spawn and other characters already.
>But he was so uninterested in jewel
Was is the correct word, it started off that way, but they grew to love each other.
The fact that the author has put in that they tried, and that Paul spurns every human foid attempt on him is proof enough he is willing and able.
Honestly the only reason why Jewel hasn't used her magic to make herself compatible is because the author is confirmed to be a normie so thinks actually writing in dragon sex is icky.
Like, I sort of get their point of view, Jewel is supposed to be an immaculate Lady that does not poop or have sex like yucky mortals do, but come on!
