I'm about to go to sleep but this has been sitting on my mind and I wanna get it out for a good rest. I don't have any context for it so idk feel free to chip in, disagree or come up with your own ideas.I had on my mind how differently anthros get imagined/designed, and what would he the 'real' form actually look like. I'm talking things like hair vs hair, plantigrade vs digitigrade, fluffy coat vs negligible coat etc.It also crossed my mind alongside general worldbuilding thoughts on offspring, the usual questions of 'hybrids, human sons anthro daughters, coinflip'. I was team human sons anthro daughters with features like eye color from the other party and such, but an opportunity clicked into my head regarding this.I kinda squared a reasoning for the various design choices for anthros and how they would come about, and that is percentage of human DNA.Anthros are obviously meant to be humanoid animals, so it makes sense that those with more humanlike features would be more 'human' than ones with more animalistic features. So in such a case you would be able to have all manner of various forms. Ones that have more human DNA would be the plantigrade ones with hair, smaller snouts, stubbier tongues, more humanoid figures, while the less humanized ones would bear features like more pronounced vestigial nipples, hooves for feet, larger claws and fangs, and indeed animalistic genitalia. So in terms of crossbreeding Humans and Anthros you can retain the 'human sons, anthro daughters' canon while still not completely abandoning pseudobiological ideas.
