No way! Having a trainer is great once you get over your pride. It takes the thinking out of the fight and you can put everything into dodging and landing hits while they come up with the strategy. You get to fight all the time and I had a team that was like a big family. We all loved eachother to bits! You don't even have to really worry about dying since battles are mostly sport and only the wild pokemon ever fought for real. I loved having a den and a family here, but I miss the old world sometimes. The food was sooooo much better...

So I was thinking a surefire way for me to talk to ghosts is by becoming one myself. Temporarily, of course.

This is a type changing potion. One of my recent inventions. This one in particular will change me into a ghost type.
But unfortunately they are still in an early prototype phase and sometimes come with nasty side effects that are different depending on the user.
For me they seem to shift my personality in more or less drastic ways. Grass type made me very relaxed while dark type turned me into an evil power-hungry tyrant. I haven't tried any others yet so I don't know what ghost type me is like. That's why I mentioned that it's a bit risky.
To minimise potential problems I reduced the duration to one hour. And if things still get out of hand I've got this.

This is a cleanser. It removes any foreign substances from the users body which includes my other potions as well.
Get me to drink it or use the syringe in case it's getting dangerous and I should turn back immediately.

(My interpretation of Dungeons isn't entirely original, though I haven't revealed a whole lot about the specifics yet. I read a lot of a niche sub-genre of a niche sub-genre and I borrow some concepts from books I've read. If you don't mind a spoiler from me as well...)

(Dungeons are in fact, living, thinking beings, that can and do speak to their inhabitants and even outsiders on rare occasion. Some are young and chatty, some are ancient, speaking in long dead tongues, but all are intelligent, even feral dungeons. Which is something I have yet to touch on. The dungeon the team is in is not a feral, it's just wounded and scared.)

(I helped fly with the backstories forher characters so I think it would be fun to colab on lore. I live for that shit! Wanna know something funny regarding my plans for Raider? I was planning on having Raider get killed by Rook. The Dark Bulb Raider has was an key item for that CANCELLED story line where I would transitioning to playing Twizzle. I ended up liking Raider too much to do that to him and wrote a totally different version of my plans for Canis just so he could live. Also, Fly said she would kick my ass if I killed Raider. (Yeah that’s neat that there are almost personalities to em. The way Fox’s sect thought of it was in a Cosmology way. Arceus is the Poet, whose written word becomes reality, his hands of creation molding ‘something’. Giratina is the page, the foundation for the written word to even exist in the first place. The third force is the Ink, it’s whatever energy or power allows Arceus to create. The dungeons are essentially raw creation molding itself somehow, taking concepts, emotions and ideas from Arceus’ own moldings and trying to replicate it, so dungeons that stick around for a while almost become like their own entity. For whatever reason, they’re able to break the laws of planar boundaries that Giratina maintains, which is why they’re noneuclidiean spaces. The reason that the dungeons create items and food and such is to attract pokemon to enter so it can feed on their knowledge and gain new concepts to work with)

(I've been pretty slack and haven't followed whats been happening with your guys adventure. With regard to dungeons the big type dugeons are all connected to the leyline system as part of a giant energy filtration system placed there by entities like Giratina and other OG versions of the Legendaries and had appointed stewards like Morrigan looking after them. They exist in a superpositional state stacked together under the town. The missing fairy dungeon already lead to imbalances which created things like the ghose mansion, and it being gone is tied in with whats going to be happening with some of the stuff in Lapras Bay. Dungeons outside of the core type ones are a whatever and you can do whatever in those. Trying to change one of those ones would invite all kinds of chaos, which as much as I'm for I'd want to supervise the direction a lot more. [I do like the idea of the switch happening, grass energy to then explode all over the town driving off the snow and making it a lush summer for a short time [[also also nina would probably experience untold levels of power probably]] and would give an excuse to have some fun with Celebi]. Unfortunately life has me kind of on the ropes atm and I'm not in the best mode for writing stuff [tldr conga line of shit and I just found out all our financial and personal info has been stolen from our work servers])

It might be a good idea to build a lore primer or somethin to list the dos and don'ts of adventures. What happenings can affect the outer world and what stays in dungeons, how the dungeon themselves work and what can and can't be done with and within them, what legendaries can and can't be used and what their personalities are if any, stuff like that. To keep would-be DMs on the same page and stop the lore from getting befuckered by conflicting lore. Don't want a town inadvertently getting nuked and want to keep Arceus in-character when he/she/they/yes finally molests Jack.
Lord knows I have too many ideas, but never voiced any because I don't wanna step on any toes (my backstory for Vaila is already heavily bending that notion and I kept it mostly ambiguous for that reason)

(You know, I think all our ideas regarding dungeons can meld since they tackle different aspects of existance for them. Your lore could be the intent behind their creation and what they actually ARE at a grand scale. Zed's lore could be the mechanics of what they actually DO for the world. My lore is more organic. How the individual dungeon operates on the INSIDE, how the inhabitants of dungeons live, and the ecosystems within. I don't think yall's lore conflicts with my idea of dungeons being alive with minds of their own either.)

(Oh the item definitely can do it. It was going to be an excuse to have people from Canis showing up in the Oasis. An item like that would capture the attention of everyone with a lust for power there. It would also be a MacGuffin that depending on who has it or if it is destroyed would lead to different outcomes in my Canis plot line.)

(Maybe I could have Lulu and Ratchet return later on and we can make the change happen by them stealing the item from the guild with the aid of the Shinotics and coming up with a way to give it just enough juice for one more use. That way we can have this adventure end when it naturally ends, but still have the option to do the change later when you have some more time. We can do the summer transition then and have fun with all the crazyness that will come with that. Raider might get his own grove in the Oasis that way too.)

(Yeah that's partially why I went with creating my own location. I haven't been here long enough to avoid lore landmines. A lore primer would be a pretty good idea. I ended up changing some things in Canis because I didn't really know how Arceus worked here and wanted to avoid using him directly. Of course I hate that you feel like you need to avoid doing things or voicing ideas because of lore. It never hurts to just throw an idea out and talk to everyone to work out the lore inconsistencies or conflicts. I think this place is flexible enough to bend the rules a little to make it more fun for you.)

(Yeah! Magic and divinity stuff is always more fun when people get a few things right, and are incorrect about other things. Keeps it feeling weird and esoteric. The Astrologers have a lot of beliefs that are very eldritch in nature, like they believe dungeon cores show some similarities to Deoxys cores. They consider the actual depictions of Arceus and Giratina to be ‘champions’ or ‘avatars’ of the actual divine being to do their bidding, thinking that they can’t really show up in this reality themselves or their immensity would quickly deteriorate reality. So as such, they believe Deoxys to be the champion of that third force, and these falling stars are failed champion creations because it lacks the guiding hand that Arceus does to properly create, and those stars are essentially seeds for a dungeon to propagate)
(Pretty out there stuff! I like weird Cosmology structures. But it definitely gets complicated fast…)

As for the item itself, not really sure, -but- their main spellcasting instruments would be tuning forks made from meteorite, so maybe it’s a tuning fork with fairy-type energy emeras inset into the side?)
