I don't want to keep up Deltadiscussion over in /omog/, and I'm not really feeling /utg/, so I'll say here that I really don't see the problems people are having with Chapter 5 so far, as of reaching the top of the castle.It's fun to play, like really fun. The characters have been fun so far for the most part, and I like what it's been doing with Asgore so far even if he's kept in the back seat. It's blunt, but reflecting him shutting out the family he's trying to get back by obsessing over his goal to get them back being reflected in the flower crew is pretty neat.I feel like people were putting way too many expectations on this chapter, which to be fair they have been waiting about little under a year for this chapter to release. I've only been waiting since yesterday. Maybe people were expecting more answers? I'm fine with getting there when we get there.Plus, the chapter has this goober in it! What's not to like? I'm certain I won't completely change my tune when I find the secret boss and beat the chapter. What could possibly go wrong?

>>83657967 (Me)Welp, I beat chapter 5! I feel like continuing my thoughts. Wow, this is going to SUCK going through on consecutive playthroughs!The hunt for the 19 Pink Coins is genuinely terrible. Down the /omog/ grapevine I had heard people call parts of this chapter padding, and wow was that a padding. I basically combed every area 3-4 times each and still couldn't two without a guide. And I don't even think a lot of them are in asshole places, you might just fail a metaphorical dice roll and not notice there's a diverging path or secret way.I liked the secret boss, but man I do not dig the 'Bomberman Blast' attacks. My brain just can't parse what it expects of me and react in time, especially when it's combined with some other attacks. Also the sudden change in horizontal movement speed that can happen during attacks is actual bad design in my opinion.Asides from that, and honestly even with that, I had a blast. Sure there's parts I can tell I won't like once the reverie fades, like what happens with Asgore in the end was such an "Oh, come on!" thing to happen. I really liked most of the characters. Aqua and Seth were my favorites, once I got past the brain melt of Flowery's entire existence I liked him, everyone else ranged from okay to eh. I liked the spotlight on Ralsei in this chapter, especially when he had alone time with Flowery.I personally didn't mind the Susie Noelle stuff at the start, but I can see why it would be agonizing for most. Even I winced at points.
