My brainstorms are usually very complex. They become simplified the more I work on the class and nail down the bare essentials that result in what I want for their gameplay. Some things I start to realize won't work out, so I scrap them, some things I realize I need to simplify more, some things I realize I need to put more focal point on to ensure that the class plays somewhat differently from the others. Super standing out amongst the roster isn't particularly always my objective (Nyss is essentially a more complicated Meltyman for example) but I just like experimenting with trying to replicate gameplay mechanics that never appeared in BYOC before. Viktory was attempt to bring over realism-ish mechanics in it, cus no other class really put focus on that. Nyss is gonna be attempt to make varied melee combat with incentives to be aggressive in form of mechanics that reward risky plays and combos ala hack n' slashes? I guess, I never actually played any of them. I just know that's what they end up doing even if my influences aren't those. Parrying is Ultrakill/Atlyss inspired for example.
