Anyways, I was thinking of doing another comic, currently experimenting with different gen styles, lemme know if one looks appealing.

The story ideas for these three characters

Admiral Brickell

I'm not doing requests at the moment since these are mostly experiments with making short comics using AI. Trying to figure out good methods of keeping a consistent style without too much extra work editing (for instance, this Sybil comic took 2.5 days to complete, however it took nearly all the time during those days).

Only recently, like past couple months. However I've been doing small gens here and there for the past couple of years, and I'm extremely familiar with editing in photoshop since I use it for my hobby. Turns out it's a good skill to have when genning since instead of inpainting you can more reliably clean up sections at the cost of extra time (combined with inpainting you can usually fix any genned image so long as it's not completely fucked).

After thinking on it more, I'll prob do the Meowskulls comic next. It's pretty easy overall and will likely only be about 10-12 pages, like the Sybil comic. The other two will likely have more pages since there's more going on in the story.
I'll also try out the JackCayless style, since I really like how it does extreme bimbo-tier bodies. Also just looks nice with Meowskulls.

Think I got a decent workflow for genning images for pretty much exactly what I want.
The AI is pretty good at guessing what vague blobs of color will look like, so it focuses the prompts to try and fit that blob. This means doing complex positions should be a bit easier (though will still take some trial and error).
Now the big question is how well this holds up for multiple images and trying to maintain consistency between them. The Sybil set was a nightmare for that, constantly editing every new gen even if the positions fit what I wanted (especially her FUCKING ANTLERS, every gen had a different shape lmao).

I think it's just unavoidable to see AI now, especially for blacked content. Before all you had were edits and those only come around when someone who knows how to edit photos comes along. There's very few artist that actually do blacked or have dedicated blacked content. Hell, even finding art that isn't blacked and just has a dark-skinned male can be tough to find (at least relative to the ones that feature light-skinned males).
So, when AI rolled out of course everyone would flock to it for blacked content. Now we have a tool that can churn out our most degenerate fantasies, at the cost of seeing a lot of sloppa (and a decent chunk of bad ones) everywhere.
It's why I try to put in at least some effort into the slop I make, with the Sybil comic and now the Meowskulls one, trying to use my skills in editing to make up for the flaws AI has. I know it's not the best but I feel like if I can at least show that you can put effort into it others might try effortposting themselves (I know it's a pipe dream but better than just reusing the same edits forever or churning out 10000 gens without filtering out the shit).
Man, thinking on it we don't even get any blacked stories anymore, the regular blacked general thread is all AI, old edits, or IRL stuff.

Something to consider: people who do edits have the same mindset as the AI sloppers. Edits did take effort, but they were always a derivative of others' work. As such, it makes sense why they jumped to AI: now instead of having to rely on new pieces of art that approximates what they want, they can gen a piece instantly that's an approximation of what they want.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm fighting nai more than it's working right, but I think it's worth it. I wish they'd update more often. They use danbooru for all the references and tags/prompts, but tags/prompts don't update until the version of NAI updates. So I'm not able to gen pics of newer characters until v5 or whatever the next version is releases. It does have good and easy to use impainting and precise reference tools if you need to make adjustments. Also prompts are saved in the meta data of the image, so, if you want to bring up prompts on another gen or copy another person's gen, you can just drag the pic into NAI and transfer the prompts, NAI works well on mobile browsers too.
