I really think Kris is going to kill himself at the end of Chapter 6, specifically, it will happen while in a fight against Susie, his will is finally gonna be broken, he will not want to continue the prophecy anymore, but he sees no way out, so, he takes the seed packet and he kills himself right then and there, as a final attempt at breaking the prophecy while also ending his suffering. Susie's comment when getting a game over will be because Kris just suddenly fell down while they were fighting and she realizes he's suddenly dying, she is surprised and distraught by this so she tells him that this can't be all that he's got. Ralsei is more direct, he says it's not his fate because the prophecy says he won't die here, and he tells him not to wake up. When Kris dies the failsafe mechanism of the experiment triggers and we get thrown back to Chapter 1, similar to what happens when Kris drowns in the weird route.Now for the real schizo part, I think the way we're gonna be able to stop this is through the twisted sword. The twisted sword has a Trance effect, it shows it with an arrow pointing down effect, which people have theorized means the trance effect Kris could be in is lowered, but I actually believe that it might be the opposite, the arrow points down because it's technically a debuff, Kris, when equipping the sword, enters the Trance effect, making him more susceptible to his commands. Kris won't be able to kill himself because we'll be able to assume direct control and prevent him from doing that.

That part is the worst to me is because her most lucid moment is likely the one where she's on her knees from guilt. From that POV, whole scene feels like a kid who irreparably messed up, so she doubles down on her psychotic spiral. Everyone is saying Kris will use the seeds to pull a Chara, but I feel like Kris will try to use them to get a stronger item/power-up, especially after we've seen Flowery manage to temporarily delay the Knight even after being weakened by fighting Kris. Considering the fact that the flowers power level is higher than most darkners, makes me think they are to regular darkners what humans are to monsters. We having Kris literally manage to beat Omega Flowery makes me think that Kris is being built up to be strong enough to try to go all alone against FRIEND or Gaster, especially with the Eggs and shadow crystals, only to be beaten by Knight/Friend down to everything they have, think Spidey dying in Edge of Time.If Kris were to die in this scenario, I see Kris having a reverse pyrrhic victory, where Kris manages to set things up so everyone is saved, but they end up sacrificed. SOUL allows Kris to talk one last time to everyone in the bunker, while they try to reach them. Basically, Asgore, Susie, Noelle, Carol, maybe even Asriel and Dess, screaming that Kris hold on while they give their last goodbye. Of course, I feel like if Kris were to survive in this scenario, their hand would most certainly be lost, but it would be like beating the knight: it all depends on your skill as a player.

If you think about it, Noelle's WR monologue calls back to her tendency to question everything in her life, which also factors in to her item use dialogue, both in Chapter 2 and for all future chapter items that she currently can't obtain. Even if they make sense for her to ask in context.

>>83769710I think one of the important points against Amalgamate Knight is that the Red Soul seems like it's part of this amalgamation, but even if not, Kris removes the soul before creating a fountain every time, and these fountains, along with Fountains proven to be made by the Knight 'look the same', the most obvious application of this is IN chapter 5 where the surprise second fountain dark world looks the exact same as the first.in this sense, the Knight likely has part of Kris' own original soul, this COULD be considered proof of Amalgamate Knight IF the Knight can CHOOSE what parts of it's will it uses in creating fountains.but, another part of this is 'Kris smiles at the Knight in Chapter 3' and 'Kris knows who the Knight is in Chapter 4.'this feels like a big pointer towards it being Dess Knight, if soul splitting was involved in the incident, and strangely, with the added context of the Weird Route, suddenly it feels like it MIGHT be something a Dess Soul would consciously do, if it truly does help Noelle in the long run somehow... it just doesn't feel so clear cut 'evil' anymore.

Who in the Light World would have an interest in doing that except for voluntarily causing doom?At the surface level, the Knight looks like an abstract antagonist, with no backstory and no reason to communicate why it does evil, hence no motive except for validating the trope of the evil Knight.There is subtext that suggest a backstory, but it's so vague, there is no good answer about the identity of the Knight, assuming they have an identity at all. It's as if someone had started writing a story involving this big baddie full of mystery and the author had a clear picture of what the Knight was really, but never could write the full story (isn't it, Gerson). So all we can say without mistake about the Knight is what we saw from the first five chapters, and not much else, that's all you'll get about the Knight, unless another author takes over the story and writes an actual backstory for the Knight.
