Since we're talking about difficulty, I still haven't beaten Pink, I found her to be way too hard, harder than the Knight even. I don't know what's wrong with me but I just can't beat her, and after hours of trying I basically lost all motivation. Maybe when Chapter 6's release date is announced I'll go back but right now I have zero desire to go bash my head against her again.

if you want to gimme the fight, just use susies share food option with appropriate food and focus on doing little flirts over large ones, and using ralseis cute boy or whatever its called ability to raise max tp until its at a good amount to use larger flirts, since gaining tp is pretty quick, a little goes a long way, the hardest part is really just the bombs, and if you cant reliably dodge, just use items, and something to note, Ralseis revive song isnt actually just a revive, its actually a super strong heal, so if you need a stronger heal prayer , dont use susies bummy ass heal, use revive song

I agree that Ralsei displaying anger and frustration is a valid direction to take him, but he practically hated Flowery on sight. He was behaving pretty normally in Castle Town before the festival, but suddenly he was ready to pounce Flowery after getting shoved in a closet once. Remember that Ralsei put up with Susie being an uncooperative brute for the first third of Chapter 1, and he still tried to be polite when asking her to chill out. There should have been one or two scenes where Ralsei tries playing nice with Flowery and gets blown off. It'd make sense, Flowery is only humoring the heroes to show that he has the situation under control so Susie and Kris can leave. After seeing how slapdash Suselle was, the rushed rivalry and jealousy that Ralsei showed stuck out to me.

I'm imagining a story delving into this where instead of Susie falling into the escapism of the Darkworld, she actually embraces the real world — but only so she can devote more time to finding Kris and waiting for them to show up again. Almost following into Asgore's footsteps, really. It's another degree of escapism.
It also makes me wonder how the town will handle such an event. Assuming Susie doesn't take the fall for it, I wonder if rumors would spread that it was somehow Kris's fault it happened.

I really, really don't want to see any of this come to fruition though. It's sad.

It's a little odd to me that Toby would make the male ballerina character so overtly feminine when male ballerinas already exist and, last time I checked, don't present themselves like that. I'm almost convinced Toby made Blue like that just so he couldn't be accused of not neglecting Fem-Guy representation if he does go full steam ahead with the Trans Ralsei stuff.

Still quite a downgrade though if you ask me. Having you representation go from centring around one of the most important characters in the game with a ton of mystery and intrigue to him, to some one-dimensional side-character who shows up in the later half of a chapter and then never again isn't really much of a consolation prize if you ask me.

He had to include the tutu in the design, because Undertale. Honestly, while I appreciate some good moments with them (Aqua, Seth, and Yellow particularly), the flowers as a group feel like wasted potential. Their designs are uncoordinated beyond having assigned colors, their relations to their traits is weird (Yellow is obsessed with justice, but Aqua is the opposite of patient), and Orange and Blue don't seem to be based on anyone or anything that Asgore could have shown them as flowers. Even the base premise that they want to look human to make Asgore happy feels awkward. Most of the people Asgore misses are monsters! I'd be fascinated to see what creative process made them like that.

Get cheat engine, it has a mode to slow down a game as you need to. Get practice with the game at whatever speed is lowest that you can manage, and keep ratcheting it up as you want. Even try 1.25x or 1.5x speed if you want to flex.

99% of it is just pattern recognition and learning to be where the pattern won't be, instead of trying to actively avoid hits.

And this is what you need to figure out. If it isn't the visual novel you need to figure out what CAN you do. Ground yourself, see the limits and go from there. For characters there is a lot of informantion- try to write the dialogs and scenes to convey the information in the document.

I'm not a developer. I'm not really an artist, and I don't know what people would find fun. I do think the story should be somewhat linear with some branches that are reflective. besides that, it seems short sighted to be so rigid on a story when the game hasn't been created either. there's an infinite amount of directions it could go or how it should be done, and I think that position of leadership should belong to someone who has experience under their belt or knows fundamentals in gameplay design.
Besides that. I mean, it shouldn't be like a "show dont tell" corridor shooter FPS with tacsim elements, and probably bend towards an RPG with peter and the rabbit tier motifs in the soundtrack. (I think some sort of baseball themed mechanic would be kino ludo as well)

In any case, these things aren't made alone.IRL I have a boss above me and a team below me I manage. everyone from every department bounces ideas and thoughts and concerns off each other, and it's why I like working there, and why we're fast and efficient with what little we have.

Also Pink/Mew Mew had dysphoria and split apart. This is an example of how it went wrong. If the fusion is of two beings, theyd have to be animated and mind broken.

So for unrelated have you guys figured out what game engine to use?

Been having some weird route thoughts.

First of all, Flowery only deals 999 damage despite having max stats. Sure, it could be the Knight's defense is too high even before it no sells his hits, but it being exactly 999 makes it seem like that's the damage cap. This means Snowgrave breaks the damage limit, and Noelle's magic can be stronger than max stats. Even back then we were already breaking the game on a mechanical level. The Knight also does over 999 damage when it attacks Tenna, so it's the same power to break the Dark World's rules.

Second is I've seen the possibility of a third route brought up again, with the Twisted Sword being needed, meaning you'd have to do the Weird Route up until you get the Thorn Ring and then bail out. If that's the case I hope it works like the Shadow Crystal in chapter 2, where you can find Jevil's in the crevice outside Castle Town if you beat him on a different save file, making it possible to load up Chapter 1 on a second save, beat him, then come back to Chapter 2 without having to go through everything else in Chapter 1. There is a high likelihood that what Seam makes with the Shadow Crystals is a Pure Crystal(the unused text calls it "purified by a cat" and Seam is some kinda cat, right?), the thing you need to make the Twisted Sword. Would suck if you had to do everything from Chapter 2 onward again to actually make use of the Shadow Crystals. Would make sense if you could get it if you got it on any of your saves. But maybe the Pure Crystal can be used for something else, if the Shadow Crystals are what makes it.

Maybe the explanation is Flowery can't go higher because his stats are all fake, and you can only do so much with fake stats even if they're the highest they can be. Like with the Flowery Scarf, it's just for show, after all. Maybe I ain't onto shit!
