Sissel's route was completed. Owen's got partially rewritten in regards to the original sex scene with Samuel IIRC but you have the option of switching to the original version to view it. He's also been working on a side game to Repeat purely to focus on the sex scenes and slice-of-life moments.

Question for you fags.

How do you feel about characters in VN's that are peoples fursonas/OC's that have been appropriately put in as a member of the cast? As in they're seamlessly integrated into the world to the point where you wouldn't know they're an OC unless you saw material of them elsewhere?
Does it bother you? Does it turn you away from something? If it would turn you away, what's the tipping/breaking point for it?
Trying to gather some information up as I plan on writing my own VN one day using my sona as one of the characters, but I'm not sure what the reception to such a thing would be like to start with.

Yeah that's what I figured. I suppose the thing that gives me pause is the whole "since it's my sona there's porn of him out there already" and I don't want to taint peoples view of it. I want a reader to interact with the character and have their reactions be off the merit of the character itself, not "hey I've seen art of this guys massive cock elsewhere!"
I've thought about not using him and creating another character for it instead, but it's difficult for me to mentally disconnect the idea considering the character in question ended up becoming my fursona after I created him for my VN idea.

I get what you're saying about being worried people will have an initial impression of the character/story if they already know of the character through porn, but I think that would inevitably happen whether it was an OC or your fursona. Popular characters from VNs, any media get porn of them, there's a non-zero chance that someone found a VN they liked through porn of one of the characters.

Ehhh I'd rather not, personally. I get the temptation, but ultimately it's better to let the character you wanna self insert as be its unique entity, that also has the benefit of this original character to not be bound by costraints your sona might have. In other words, this character can fully realize itself if you let it. Perhaps you can let your sona be your closest representation, while this character is going to be largely based off you but it'll have variations that'll make it stand on its own. It's what I did, and I have to say I'm happier for it, if you straight up used your sona instead it'd be too blatantly wishfullfilment-ey, granted protags are usually the embodiment of the author's wishes one way or the other but some subtetly doesn't hurt. I think it's best to let this character be its own thing in the end

Im probably not as fucked as i first would assume since he's from a D&D setting and Brian is kinda shit, even if we go "The Almighty Equalizer: GUN" im pretty sure D&D rulesets account for Gun Damage. Plus being a Bard (Sluttiest of classes) i don't think a subtle approach would work for Brian since they are intuitive about bullshitetry, so the Roofie strat probably wouldn't work.

But conversely, Cole is made of paper, so if Brian got close (A big ask now that Cole can teleport) that's a good opportunity to pummel his Yeen ass into paste. But at the end of the day Brian is "just" a (unhelpfully) Haunted Junkie with a gun and a heart condition and not a D&D Hero Class Superhuman (well, Anthro).

Semy and Poseidong are excellent swordfighters but I don't think that's going to be too great an equalizer against GUN. The strength disparity between him and most of the characters in that game does mean that if Brian gets into melee range, then someone like Sisyphelly or Magdicus could likely easily manhandle him. Maybe even Poseidong outright. Semy himself could easily spear him through if he has a sword, but again GUN.

Given I'm currently on the first Goattown arc in my current playthrough, I guess Sciron could also square up. He should be much stronger but a single decent shot would probably put him down hard, so it comes down to rushing Brian before he can get a shot off.

Speaking as someone who will eventually do this, I think it all depends on the execution. If you're like Major/Minor or Komorebi with the Klace style "My self insert is like super famous and popular" yeah go fuck yourself with your narcissistic ego.
My self insert would just be another existing force that holds no immediate importance in the storyline. He'd just be a seamless insert like one of those guild factions you meet in RPGs. I'd claim him as my fursona outside of the media itself but I wouldn't ever make him a "decide the fate of the world with his hidden god tier abilities", he'd just be a named force with his own goals that would deviate from the main protagonist and thus they'd rarely ever meet if at all outside of a spinoff thing I'd make for fun.

I'd say it depends, While Resnick solo obviously loses (unless Brian doesn't get his rifle) i'd say that if Resnick gets Lust with him he'd either eke out a bare victory with Lust support (distracting when Brian makes the shots to make them miss, so Resnick can close in for an impaling) or a stomp if he transforms. In part because Brian would absolutely freak about an actual Demon showing up, and im part because i think Lust Resnick can probably tank a couple of bullets due the increased durability (Lust-Resnick is practically invincible so far, only losing to counter influence while being Choked by another Demon).

I'd say that how Alon reacted to Kormack channeling (Going from Smug to "WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING? THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!") is part of why i consider this though, while Alon doesn't have access to his gun i don't think that was a "I'd be fine if i had my guns" kind of "Oh fuck", "Spirit Warrior" probably ticked high on his threat list when he realized what he was facing.

Resnick is good, losing a 3-vs-1 is not really shameful, the issue is more that a lot of bad shit happened in relatively quick succession for him, and Lust basically distracts him. His only actual issue is that he is from a Low Fantasy setting, give HIM a gun and he'd wipe Brian, it is really just an equipment issue.

I don't think an absolute 'best' exists for the genre, at least not in the sense that you think. Amongst the more popular there's obviously TwoKinds, Housepets, Dan & Mab's Furry Adventures, Foxy Flavored Cookie and so on - your mileage will vary on how much you enjoy these. For a popular relative newcomer, there's I Think I Like You which is pretty good if you like (generally) non-serious SOL/urban fantasy. Latchkey Kingdom was also pretty good, at least enough to have consistent-ish threads on /co/ before it shit the bed. Exterminatus Now was also decent and even got a fun storytime on /co/, but it's been dead for years.

But if you want what are broadly considered the absolute BEST from a purely writing/worldbuilding perspective, then that's probably between Digger or Out-of-Placers. If you want the best in terms of art then that's Lackadaisy. If you want a mix of both, then there's Dreamkeepers (which is also going to have a vidya/virtual card game IIRC), and you have Nature of Nature's Art if you're obsessed with pure speculative philosophy mixed with esoteric wuxia martial arts. And if you're a TF/pornfag, then The Long Hike is for you.

Vekads ending ending will probably determine if i consider Mael or Vekad the winner, because so far i fel all but males have been lackluster, and while Vekad had the best "Side quest" but i think a soiled ending could push him down below Mael in total. Tenoch and Akhet were disappointing all the way through IMO.

I have read worse shit, i'd say its main issue is the "converging" feeling of the endings where the differences feel like minutia that can be glossed over by a secret because relationships are secret and the broad strokes are the same.

Out of all of them? Hard to say, but I think it's between Dreamkeepers and Housepets with TwoKinds as a close third. All three were little me's introduction to the world of furry media more or less and they've all impacted my tastes in various ways. Dreamkeepers is probably a big part of the reason why merging horror (especially eldritch horror) and furry stuff appeals so strongly to me, Housepets is why I can enjoy slice-of-life + urban fantasy furry media and not throw a 'tism fit over them not being plain SOL, and TwoKinds is just sort of a comfort setting for me as odd as it might be.

And though I only discovered it relatively recently, The Long Hike is perfect for my TF fetish and works well as fap fuel. The speculative biology and other stuff in it is also really cool.

Chunter and my experiences from when I was younger are somewhat similar to his. For starters I was in a relationship with pretty questionable age gap when I was in high school. First things first, this was pre-social media in a relatively poor area that didn't have common internet access yet.

So i grew up "Not-always-able-to-afford-food" poor to two workaholic parents, dad is physically (and economically) abusive (I don't mean he just spanked me, he was pretty creative, and this being a small town no one really questioned that a stupid clumsy countryside kid had bruises and burns), im a bit of a dunce so my siblings pinned their antics on me the majority of the team, which means i got the brunt, My dad is pretty charsimatic so no one suspected shit, and we lived out of town (isolated), so as far as i knew that was normal. I start school am a bit off for obvious reasons, end up getting into fights, some i win some i lose, but i basically get a reputation of a violent psycho, needless to say few people want to befriend such a person and what buds (and a couple of girlfriends) i do make (Most of them fair weather or having conditions to their friendships) i end up being actively isolated from as to not be a "bad influence", during all this my mental health deteriorated, and with it my school performance until i was basically going to be expelled.

Then my dad dumps my mom and she gets custody cause he don't want me or my siblings and shit slowly improves at home, she find a new guy and start dating. He wants to move to the town he lives in, they do and he starts up his own company with my mom helping handling papers, suddenly no longer poorfag, and because this was still when Social Media was not the norm that was a "Fresh start" for me.

There i met my "Dave" in the sense that he was the first person i met i could genuinely consider a "Good Person". He was straight so nothing happened and i have no regrets or bad feelings about how it turned out. We then drifted apart after graduation because we took higher education in different places.That's the gist cuz 2000.

I'm just trying to get as most points with people as possible. I can't really have a way of knowing how many I missed so far or what it even really changes. Some choices also have the best play is to lose points now to get more overall so that make it hard to be perfect even with rewinding. I plan on staying the course as long as an update didn't brick the save. It also makes the story more funny if one of the lamest MC is framed as an irresistible mega hunk that has all the others falling in his lap.

I had a depressive episode today. I have a close friend of mine who lives on the other side of the world. A while ago, I told him I loved him, and he said that he wasn't in a state where he could love anyone. We're still friends, but lately he told me he lost a job interview that would have gotten him out of his shitty life situation. And it really sucks, because I can't do anything to help him out. It made me think, what's the point of any of this? I'm in my mid-20s, I don't have a job, I don't have a boyfriend, I don't have any real-life friends, I don't have much money, and I live with my parents.

I know this is a dumb question, but what makes you keep living? Like, what's there that makes you want to live another day in your life?

Hell, I could be offered a job doing work I could only dream of because of how much I love it (selling toys or other collectibles)

Dying is guaranteed, living isn't. My God guides me day to day, maybe you don't need it or believe in it, but things do get better. Just take it day by day and that chance will surely deliver something that makes it all worth it.

I think you might ended up being too reliant on your parasocial connections, like your friend, and neglecting the people around you. If you feel shame that means you want to get better and improve your situation, talk with your parents and other family how to go about that, if your issue is that you are physically week, improve your body, if you lack education, looks for means to get that, if you lack social skills and your family no longer invites you to shit because they expecta no, start asking and then ask if you can get to come even if they say no for this time due logistics, then just say that you would be interested next time.

Unironically because it's what Guts would do. Maybe I'm just an /a/utist or whatever, but Guts has always been a huge motivator for me. When I'm feeling down or hopeless in life, I think of his struggles and how he continues on despise all the unimaginable pain and suffering he went through.

And if you know nothing about Berserk, tl;dr Guts is a fictional character who has experienced pretty much every hardship imaginable, and yet despite everything he continues to persevere.

Never forget, that even though times can be tough they CAN get better. And this chance is one the reasons why I keep "struggling". To further improve myself, but also for that fleeting hope that one day things will change for the better.

No, I pretty much only knew him through twitter and discord, after we had our fight in mid 2020, I deleted all of my online presence out of stress and frustration. I did come back about 6 months later to find he was in a relationship with tranny, and that he had moved on from the furry stuff was now into anime.

Maybe so, but remember this was 2020 in America, and things were really weird. If I had to get into the specifics, I recall we had some argument about the rioting that was going on, and how buildings were being burned down and the chaos in the streets. Specifically this one news article about a boy who was stuck in a burning building, and the emergency response team wasn't able to get to him because of the protestors that were blocking the street. For some reason, and I honestly have no idea why, he was completely fine with this and he said something like "in order for progress to be made people have to get hurt first, for things to get better". soon after this particular argument, is when I deleted all of my social media presence.

Our conversation in 2020 was the last we talked. At around 2022 he deleted all of his social media accounts. So I have no idea where he went or what he's been up to? I do want to say that I agree with your no politics in dating opinion, if I get back into dating I'm planning on trying really hard to not bring up politics like AT ALL, and if I ever have to I'll try and play it real safe by taking a neutral stance on something. I know a lot of gay guys tend to lean left, so I'll remember this.

You shouldn't have to walk on eggshells either, fearing all the time you're going to hit some ideological landmine, you shouldn't have to *hide* yourself around them, know what I mean? That's not healthy. If your partner doesn't have the mental maturity to accept that everyone's going to have their own views on life and the direction a country should go then you shouldn't bother with them, you seem like a guy with reasonable, moderate views unlike that psycho you broke up with, so if your potential new fiance can't even accept that get the hell out of there

Yeah this surprised me at the time too. The weird thing was before 2020 he was normally pretty chill and levelheaded when it came to politics. And bizarrely he was even pretty conservative leaning too. Hell, he was even somewhat of a Trump fan as well. I think he even edited his oc to have a Trump hat at one point in time, but I'm not 100% sure? Yet midway through 2020 something caused him to go "feral" and I honestly have no idea what it was? I mean best I can guess was all the Floyd stuff, but why change sides on a whim it, it made no sense to me?

Thanks I appreciate your advice. Personally I've become significantly way less political over the past half decade. I guess I still identify as a "conservative" but I haven't voted in Elections or anything like that. It would be cool to date a libertarian guy or at least someone who isn't terminally online when it comes to politics. But again given the percentage of gays who lean left and the current political climate. I kinda have to accept it as what it is.

My experience is that most people, even extremists like commies or fascists, generally understand that their ideologies are offputting to anyone who doesn't believe in them. They might say something like "We need to start a revolution and seize the means of production!" but they'll usually (and should) understand if a person they're amicable with doesn't agree with that. As long as you try to come at it from their perspective instead of upfront telling them "I fucking hate all trannies", then you'll eventually agree to disagree and learn to deal with each other's differences. But yes, try to avoid politics if you can help it.
