Drawfriend here. I come to these threads to find inspiration as well as discover new sketch sources. While my opinion here matters about as much as a cigarette packet full of lima beans, I will say that my associations between the /TOON/ & /TH/ threads are as such:I feel that:/TOON/ is the legacy format. Essentially anything that was made before 2000 is what exists here (matters not if its gay/straight/squiggly lines)./TH/ is the current format (beyond 2000, you get it). I even thought that this thread was the Tooner Hideout because Brandy & Mr. Whiskers was from 2004, so you understand my thinking.Ideally, there should just be one toon thread to rule them all which would be more anthro/feral focused since, as its been pointed out, ACO would handle all the humanoid cartoons. I'm happy with bouncing between the /TOON/ & /TH/ threads, but the in-fighting and discourse I refuse to tolerate. Just post some drawn degeneracy and get back to fapping! Look at something like Regular Show, for example; the designs are cartoony, sure, but the exaggerated slapstick and extreme disregard for physics in the name of comedy are largely absent because the whole joke with that show is having characters who behave relatively grounded until some kind of insane surrealist bullshit derails the entire episode. That's not to say it's worse, by any means, but it's less "cartoony" than something like Looney Tunes or Rocko's Modern Life. You still see modern toons or toon-style furry OCs (Nickwolf's art is a good example, picrel) posted here from time to time, but obviously there's going to be more "cartoony" material of classic toon characters when the source material itself is more "cartoony" in a general sense.
