videogame hot take: borderlands was never good.the humor of the game was incredibly dated even back then when it was new and the story wad only decent at best. the gameplay was what kept it popular and it's only fondly remembered because everyone was like, 15 when it dropped and have rose tinted glasses on for the series. borderlands 1 and 2 were the best and gameplay wise 3 was the best but held back by increasingly obviously out of touch writers that didn't understand the humor of the generation.
