(Reposting)>>84284417"Well I certainly would appreciate it. I might actually be able to get a good night's sleep for once if I didn't have to worry about that so much.">Leafeon looks a bit conflicted"I mean, he does his job pretty well. He just seems to only really care about the shroom's problems. I think it's because he is some weird mutant Amoongus and feels a kinship with them or something.">Her eyes widen for a moment"Uh, d-don't tell him I said that if you end up meeting him please...">The idea of trade between the dungeon and the town seems novel to her"Seems like a fun idea, but I don't think the dungeon would approve. It absorbs all the energy of the moves that outsiders and us denizens use while inside it. If outsiders are just coming to trade, the dungeon would go hungry. It loves it when denizens fight outsiders because that's when it gets the most energy.">She thinks for a bit"Maybe some of us denizens could sojourn into your little town sometimes and trade. We can't do it too often because the dungeon would get miffed with us if we kept taking items it makes without paying for it with battle, but I'm sure it wouldn't mind a few things going missing here and there.">The little Vee looked away as if not looking Ignis in the eye meant that he didn't have to admit that she was right>Leafeon blows off her refusal to accept praise"I know right! None of us are really weak to rocks anyway so we just eat the things sometimes. May as well give them to someone that will get some use out of them.">The young healer floated over to look at Ignis curiously"Sure! follow me!">He turns and floats down the hall he came from>Sunny the Leafeon gives Ignis a little wave"I guess I'm gonna stay here and watch the brats. Make sure you get a treat from the Healer when you're done. Hehe~"1/2
(I didn't realize how few posts were left in the thread lol)>>84286097>>84284417>The Poltchageist floated happily down the all to the next room, humming a little tune all along the way>As Ignis followed the little ghost into the next room, the smell of both Medicine and Tea hit her nose>There are several beds along the walls, each divided by a curtain wall>As the pair walked along, several sick pokemon were seen in the beds>Curiously, each one seemed to have mushrooms growing from them>At the far end of the room behind a table, a Sinistcha sat>A somewhat shady looking Amoongus was standing at the foot of the bed one the only patient without any mushrooms growing from them"Howdy! This is one of the outsiders. They were wanting to get examined just to make sure, she's in tip top shape">The Sinistcha laughed"Sure! I don't mind. Go ahead and sit down on one of the beds. I'll need to grab a few supplies so It'll be a few.">The bottle ghost flipped around to face Ignis"Well, you heard him. Pick a bed, any bed! Hehe~Say, do you mind if I watch? I am a student after all, but I can heck off if not. It's no biggie. Try to not light anything on fire~
(Decidueye day today)
>>84275380>>84277415No, I'm usually pretty resilient to damage. So this is new territory for me.>The stump twitches as Audrey heals it.I had one of those bands too, which is why I'm missing a limb. I had to tear it off in order to try and get to help Fly quickly... was too slow anyway...>He seems antsy, like he's eager to just get the bare minimum of treatment so he can go back to comforting Fly.Uh, you have any idea of who could help with the statues? I'm guessing you don't really do healing of the arcane variety?
>>84273813>>84273317Guh!>Cato is surprised by the sudden Dreepy sitting in their lap.D- don't do anything down there, okay..?>They pull a scrap of meat from their gyro and lower it down under the table. You're getting a bit too loopy, need you to tone it down.>Cato then downs another glass of wine, they're gonna need it dealing with this girl.Hey, not my idea!>They say to Luke as he makes a suggestive remark.'Sides, I can't do anything now that you've announced it to the whole table!
>>84245333>>84246630Homemade is the way to go with pasta>sip of wine, slice of Gyarados>life that was, slipping further awayCould make a mean bolognese myself, usually made my own pasta too>orders a top up of wine and a bottle to be sent to the roomLot of equivalent favors here, could even make a 'Wasteland Survival Guide' but for food, would be a hell of a project
>>84292735>>84292746I can't make any promises, I'm still new to the guild and all, but I'd like to think we'd do something.>She lets Sunny speak her mind, then chuckles at the endOh, don't worry! Drama on top of everything else going on? Count me out!>That and she secretly plans to help dethrone him anyway so it'll be a moot point.>Ignis thinks on the logistics of their trading for a minuteIt absorbs move energy? In that case, who says we can't just like, sit in a dungeon room spamming moves for a while in exchange?>Five flamethrowers for some dungeon exclusive plants. She could see it working, unless what the dungeon wants is outright conflict. Maybe sparring matches in that case?>Sunny's logic makes sense!Yeah! Who knows when it might come in handy?>She waves to Sunny as she follows the apprentice healer further inside>The scent is pretty intense, but she's sure she'll get used it after a bit>Glancing at the beds as they pass them, Ignis doesn't miss that every sick pokemon had mushrooms growing on them>Spotting the Amoongus, she figures they must be the cause. The healers don't seem worried, maybe this is part of the process...?>Either way, she focuses on the Sinistcha and smilesHello, and thank you!>Glancing down, Ignis nodsWill do, and I don't mind. Doubt you've treated many fire types, huh?>She looks over at her flaming tail, perpetually raised to keep it from lighting anything on fireOh I've gotten into the habit of keeping it off of anything flammable, I'll be careful.>Walking back, she chooses the bed beside the Servine and Amoongus, lying on her back with her tailtip still pointed up to avoid burning anything>Looking over at the screen seperating her from the Servine, she decides to ask what's on her mindSo, uh, the mushrooms growing on them. I'm guessing they're some kind of healing mushrooms?
>>84286024 (Samba)Alright, one horn! Samba you're being weird.>Ignis doesn't know what she needs saving from!>That poochyena earned it. You don't piss in the water supply, it's an important lesson to learn!Well that's easy for you, you're a cactus! Not all of us can be so water efficient.>Though honestly, Ignis doesn't need a lot of water either, especially for something her size. Must be her fire typing at work.>She looks down at the bucketSo you -are- drinking it, and straight from the source. Maybe you're the one who's dehydrated?>Ignis is once again confused by her wordsPlant cult...? That was a grass dungeon, I guess a cult is one way to look at them, but they seemed pretty normal to me, aside from the mushrooms...>...>Samba? Ignis looks concerned. She's staring right at the sun!>Actually wait, her eyes are these weird hollows, how does that even work? She doesn't seem to be in pain at least.Uh->That outburst catches her off-guardHuh?>And now Samba's swaying and asking for a bucket of water.>Ignis blinks, then slowly points at the oasisYou can, uh, take a bucket. You've done it plenty already. Thankfully the oasis provides more than enough water for everyone, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to get to it in the first place.>There's a pause...Healthy boned?
>>84295258>Sunny looked quite relieved to hear that the guild would at least look into the Dungeon Killer"I never really cared for you guild pokemon, but I guess I was mistaken. You guys are nicer than I thought you would be.">Sunny's didn't really think Ignis would say anything, but still, the boss was a big powerful pokemon that she really didn't want to piss off>Farming items in exchange for moves... Strange concept"I don't really think that would work. Its the energy of combat that it takes in. Moves are just more intense. Maybe the dungeon would get something out of doing that, but it would undoubtedly start sicking spawns on you if you tried that. There is also the dungeon's pride to consider. I don't think dungeons like it when pokemon start thinking of them as a toy boxes.">Sunny thinks for a moment"You know, if you want to know more about how dungeons work, you should probably try to chat with Elder Orochi. They know all about dungeons. I bet they will have a million questions for you about the outside too. They don't get out much. Hehe~">Sunny smiles and waves bye to Ignis as she departs with the healer(Do you like the HD remaster of the Ignis on the map or do you want to go back to the classic 8-Bit Ignis?)
>>84296571>The room certainly has a scent to it, thats for sure>The bedridden pokemon are in various states of consciousness from totally out cold, to swirly eyes and babbling nonsense, to groaning and moaning, to the Servine who seems totally aware>As Ignis passes, the Servine's eyes lock onto her with a strange intensity>After Ignis greets him, the Sinistcha floats up and heads to one of the halls>The smaller Poltchageist beams at Ignis after hearing that she is okay with him watching"Thank you very much! As for treating fire types, nope, not a single one! You'll be our first! I'm super excited! Don't worry though. Pokemon are all pretty much the same on the inside save for specialized organs and whatnot.">The Poltchageist follows her glance to her tail and makes a pitiful sound"Oh, you poor thing. Being a fire type must be such a pain. Always having to worry about lighting things on fire. No worries. We've got a few water types among us so we will be able to control any fires you start.">Before Ignis can take offense, he floats off to wherever they keep their supplies>The bed, despite appearances, is rather comfy and the curtains are mostly translucent so Ignis can see the figure of the Servine and the Amoongus standing over her>Both figures seem to startle at her question>The small voice of the Servine begins to speak but is silenced by a "hand" covering her mouth"Yes, the mushrooms roots are a bit painful, but they clear the blood of infection. It's much more effective than the various antibiotics we have here, but SOME patients are a bit leery of them. Its really rather remarkable how foolish some people can...">A small struggle could be seen through the curtain and the Servine manages to free her mouth"I don't WANT the mushrooms, I want the herbs! I don't trust you freaks!" I'm not going to..."
>>84296592>Her mouth is quickly covered again"You're going to upset the other patients. Please stop or I'm going to have to sedate you...">His voice has a bit of an edge to it and the Servine immediately stops fighting>The fishyness of the situation is not lost on the shroom"Anyway, don't worry, they can be removed once the patients are clear of infection. The other healers and I have agreed that we should use the Mushrooms as standard treatment for the infection that's spreading around to minimize spread AND her parents agreed to the procedure so its going to happen one way or another. This one is just... defiant."(Sorry for the length...)
>>84296571(hd works fine!)I'm glad I could change your mind! I'd hope other teams are as nice as us at least.>She can understand the caution. Not a good idea to anger the mushrooms>Ignis slowly nodsI see. I guess if it were that easy someone else would've thought of it by now. Maybe I should talk to him after this is over, work something out and answer a bunch of questions.>And off she goes!>>84296592>>84296602>The only aware one lacking mushrooms isn't helping her uncertainty>Looking down at the Poltchageist, she stares at him curiouslyReally? Huh... pokemon are pretty strange aren't they?>They? Odd thing for a pokemon to say.>Ignis is about to respond to his pitying remark but he's already flying off>Ah... guess she'll just have to prove him wrong by not setting anything on fire in the first place.>She didn't mean to startle them, but she was pretty curious...>Well, the explanation makes some sense. She knows mushrooms are used a lot in medicine even in the human world.Huh. It's good you've found a method that works, though they don't seem, uh, comfortable.>Not that healing always is, but still!>As for the Servine, Ignis does feel sympathy. She's like a kid scared of getting a shot, though Ignis would prefer a needle over the mushrooms given the choice.>At the same time, she knows the mushrooms can't be all bad. Maybe calling them freaks is a little uncalled for...>The Amoongus's assurance leaves Ignis conflicted. Ultimately, if there -is- something fishy going on, the change in balance of power should result in this being taken care of later, right?Seems kinda scary, but you guys are the experts. I doubt I need any mushrooms though, I'm more concerned about any injuries I might have missed than sickness.>She'll stay polite for now. There's every chance this is all above board and mushroom pokemon are just... naturally really awkward.>Still, as a healer he should probably work on his bedside manner.(no problem!)
>>84277415>>84293075Don't worry, it's healing magic. Expedites the healing process. I wouldn't know how to hurt someone if I tried.>The doctor doesn't know any harmful attacks. Even a sick & wounded caterpie could give her a run for her money. Oren is safe.>She keeps a steady hand held over the wound as the bleeding slows. The audino isn't quite satisfied with the results thus far, so she reaches into her bag for some gauze. >Fly's story doesn't exactly fill her with joy. Audrey considers administering some simple medicine but opts not to when she hears sedatives were involved, based off the dinosaur's account. When someone else does something wrong, it's rarely the victim's fault. >Audrey narrows her eyes as she cleans dust & dirt from the wound with drops of magical water before she wraps Oren's tendril up in bandage dressings. She speaks quietly to him partway through Fly's speech. Please don't take this off until we know how well it will heal. Let me know if it starts to itch.>If Oren's normally resistant to damage, but some magical artifact caused him to weaken, she worries about his limb regrowing. What if it doesn't? That's not something she's ever had to bring up with a human patient before... er, sapient patient.>Audrey leans back, getting off of one knee. She's great at multitasking, but there's one part of the story she isn't sure she heard right. Especially not through Fly's sobbing. ...There's... stone?>She needs to hear that again. The two of you witnessed someone turning into statues?>Audrey seems like she's trying not to be as shaken as the other two. Not that she could be in as sour a mood as those who just escaped the threat of death...

(bump)
>>84297199>It certainly is a curious thing... then again, she could just be a somewhat new patient"Indeed~ I do quite love studying anatomy. I've got to say, yours is rather unusual. I'm no expert on Charizards, but I do recall them being more... Smooth in the chest area. Are you a local-subspecies with teats?">Sheltered folk like dungeon denizens tend to have a touch of unintended racism, or rather Typism, but at least he means well>Eventually, she is alone with the bedridden and the Amoongus>The painful nature of the mushrooms boring into your body to reach your veins certainly is a good reason for a kid to want to avoid it>Though the Servine girl seemed a little too old to be afraid of something like this, she seems almost like a teenager"Yes, It really is a remarkable species of fungus. It taps into the bloodstream, redirects it into itself, and then filters it removing any pathogens, cancers, or even prions if you let it's mycelium spread into the nervous system. It is a parasitic species, but it does a amazing job keeping it's host alive.">His words did not improve the Servine's mood"Calm down it'll only be in you until the infection clears. We aren't eating you or turning you into zombies or any of the other nonsense the others are saying.">The shroom chuckles a bit"Indeed we are. No worries, even if you had caught the infection, we wouldn't force the mushrooms on you. There are other options and I'm sure you have healers on the surface."
>>84300993>He picked up a small mushroom from a tray nearby and began to move to towards the Servine, somewhat distracted by his conversation>The girl chose that moment to strike>A small vine shot out and broke the mushroom before it could be implanted onto her"I'll do that to your mama next, bitch!">The shroom was not happy..."Wh-What are you thinking you little brat! Do you have any idea how difficult these things are to...">She must have been giving him a smug look or something because he raised up a hand as if he was going to strike her, before the voices of the Matcha Ghosts entering the room stopped him"You're getting sedated when I get back with your treatment. I'll be sure to pick out one that's got nice thick roots this time...">He quickly trudged by the pair as they made their way to Ignis"Make sure she doesn't leave. She destroyed the treatment and I'm gonna have to get another. Prepare a sedative for me when you're done with her.">They nodded before continuing on their way to Ignis as the shroom made his exit"Hello again, Miss Ignis! Are you ready to start?"
>>84300993>>84301010>She could certainly be. Ignis really can't know for sure!>Ignis gets distracted by him pointing out her breasts, blushing as she glances down at themAh, haha, no these are, uh. I didn't have them until recently, I drank a potion I shouldn't have... I wouldn't worry about it.>She still feels a little dumb about her reckless decision to drink it>The typism hasn't gone unnoticed, but Ignis can tell they don't mean it. It helps she doesn't have an attachment to her fire typing yet.>A fear of mushrooms burrowing into your bloodstream is very natural.>It sounds like these mushrooms are a new treatment, Ignis really doesn't know what to think.Cancers and prions too? That's... impressive. I feel like mushrooms burrowing into your nervous system has to have some side effects.>Turning into a mushroom zombie, for one.>She doesn't know if she fully believes him, but without an immediate threat, she simply nodsYeah, I could understand those fears. And we do! I don't think they use mushrooms like this though.>Back to the Servine, she acts up and destroys the mushroom!>Ignis can only watch in surprise as the events unfold. She was halfway through getting up from the bed when the voices stop the Amoongus before he gets violent.>Or at least she thinks that what he was about to do.I, uh, I think picking one with smaller roots would help her feel better about mushrooms.>Sure, she wasn't being nice, but surely being petty with your patients isn't helping!>And off he goes. It's hard to argue against sedatives after that, though. There's every chance it's a legitimate treatment...>Focusing back on her own checkup, Ignis looks at the two of them and nods before reclining back onto her bedYeah, I am. I guess not everyone's a fan of that mushroom treatment.>May as well make some small talk while they work.
(she's cute, but she'll ruin your life.)
>>84304995I could fix herBut whatever's wrong with her is way hotter
Spent some time in Krita. Its shitty, but at my skill level I'm happy with it. (I'm nowhere near competant enough to try and draw Raider with his cloak on. XD)
