Why isn't this show particularly deep? There's not a whole lot of worldbuilding or lore. Winx Club had much more lore in just its first 26 episodes than Tokyo Mew Mew ever had in its 52 episode run.
>>84310669The characterization is also not particularly deep, the story is rather simple even if it's kind of layered with the aliens formerly being on earth and wanting their planet back since they feel the humans do a poor job of treating it. It also tends to be easy to follow.This is my favorite anime of all time, but I'm wondering why this anime is so simple. Compare it to shows like Fullmetal Alchemist, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Hunter x Hunter and Madoka Magica and this series has less worldbuilding and depth to it. Also, if this anime is about preteens and young teenagers and is aimed at that audience, why does it feel like it's for younger audiences than the 90s Sailor Moon anime and the first few seasons of Winx Club, both of which are also kids shows?
