General for discussion of Human Domestication Guide & related fiction.

Incredibly Care Filled Tooth Cleaning Edition

>What is HDG?
HDG is a collective kink writing project about the Affini (an advanced precursor civilization from outer space), who aggressively care for every other species in the universe. They have finally turned their glittery eyes on future grimderp hypercapitalist nightmare humanity. Using their natural charisma and various classes of Xenodrugs, they aim to make Florets (d̶o̶c̶i̶l̶e̶,̶ ̶d̶r̶u̶g̶ ̶a̶d̶d̶l̶e̶d̶ ̶p̶e̶t̶s̶ loved and cared for individuals) of us all! But don't worry, they always have everyone's best interests at heart, even if their methods aren't even remotely consensual~

I've always found depowered stuff hot, like having super powers, or magic, or psychic abilities and someone can disable them, seal them away, or permanently remove them.

>Be part of unethical Accord medical experiments
>Develop psychic powers which grow more and more powerful
>Lift multiple tons, super speed, precognition
>Affini show up and because you fight back they decide to domesticate you
>End up subduing you and slapping a collar to mitigate your powers
>Mistress decides how much powers you can use
>I'll let you levitate if you're a good girl and take your class-gs

It is a small personal pleasure for me to think about crossovers with hdg and whatever else I'm interested in/into at the time. I've fantasized at some length about being/seeing a feral CAIN exorcist or SIN host get rescued/rehabilitated/domesticated...
>>
>>84527213
It is very distinctly not the error of phrase in particular that increases your likelihood of being adopted, but your reaction to recognizing your own error, if there is any reaction at all.
You won't get florted for calling your proctorffini mom or mommy, but you will have a new mommy if you say it at least three times in a row trying to correct yourself.

Stupid bi... dumb mistress banned me from playing Dark Heresy because of "excessive violence"

>>
>>84528745
A majority of games that are known to glorify gratuitous violence, especially for religious purposes, are frequently seen on the restricted and limited access lists, due to having ties to more significant emotional motivators towards replicating that violence. And in accordance with that cannot be considered safe in the hand of ferals who are much more likely to take to that inspiration and become violent.
You appear to already have your haustoric which is very good, but it may need a bit more time to ensure a complete embedding, so that you won't try to do something drastic in a moment of panic.

Do you know any? I mentioned a couple threads back that I was looking for good crossovers, but I only could find a couple that were both deeply stupid, and noone else said they knew of any.
>>
>>84529443
the lorets have an official stance against crossovers so most of the published ones suck or are hatefics. iirc there's a kind of funny hatefic k6bd/lancer crossover, but it's not good
these are just internal fantasies. there are a few paragraphs in my notes app. that's it.
>>
>>84529465
>>84529443
There was an SCP crossover from an SCP universe perspective, treating the affini as an SCP
But i remember getting bored reading it in the first 3 chapters, so its probabbly not great either.
>>
>>84529660
Was it the one where the Ethics Committee deposes the O5 Council because they want to fight the Affini (AKA their literal founding purpose as an organization) instead of immediately surrendering? Yeah, that was one of the deeply stupid ones. (The other isn't technically a crossover, because it's set in the modern day real world, but it acts like a crossover and is deeply stupid in the same way).

umm indie having a really rough day tries to stop at a vending machine on tha way home to get a snack they like but it's been replaced by a compiler and it won't compile their favorite pre-compact generic TreatSlop(tm) since it's full of heavy metals and it's the straw that breaks the camel's back and they get frustrated and start crying

'finni overseeing public works in the area is keeping track of happiness metrics (hidden camera analysis of terrans after they get their snackies) is alerted that the compiler made someone cry

florts 'em...
>>
indie who is okay with the whole capturing and owning humans thing but draws the line at weird bondage stuff
>>
Why do the horrible slavers bent on opressing us all have to be so HOT? its NOT FAIR!!
>>
>>84532666
Public access food compilers are restricted from producing items that contain potentially harmful compounds, if the individual had simply thought to ask the operator for their favorite treat instead, the operator coukd use their override access to successfully compile the treat and allow them to enjoy their snack and the rest of their day!
By not choosing to seek help and becoming upset instead, the individual proved emotionally volatile under adaptive stress, and unable to prioritize seeking support in an abstract scenario. Which in combination with a pre-existing record as detailed in their case file, means that domestication was the best option for their enduring happiness.
>>
>>84532857
I'm not sure that an operator would grant an override for the compilation of food containing toxins.
>>
why would the affini have an issue with food or other things for that matter that are "bad for you" when they can easily fix any resulting issues?
As long as it makes me happy and i get regular checkups, it should all be fine, no?

>>
>>84532900
Addmitedly she isn't supposed to, but acting cute and saying you really really really want works on just about any given affini so it isn't quite as enforced as it should be.

>>84532975
Because you shouldn't want to put things that are dangerous to you in your body no matter how happy they make you or accessible care is, self-endangerment is still self-endangerment.
>>
>>84533084
but its literally not a danger if i get the meds/care, man, thats the whole point!
Should a diabetic not want candy cause candy is dangerous to them without assistance of insulin?
>>
>>84532857
>affini have a case file out on all of you listing the reasons you're very cute and should be domesticated
chilling. perverts
>>
>>84532999
Affink could very confidently either identify whichever active wires are bound to the bomb itself through their capacity for electrosensory and cut them, or defuse it though several other similarly effortless means, if the owner themselves is not currently capable, they should go to the vet who will absolutely be able to safely disarm the bomb.
If the floret for whatever reason decides the active state of the bomb is comforting to them and do not wish to have it removed, replacing the explosive itself for a much less destructive one without informing them has been observed to maintain their happiness.

>>84533147
No humans should want candy because its full of sugars and chemicals in explicutly dangerous amounts, the candies produced by the compact use a much safer formulation that cannot incur diabetic risk.

>>84533198
Would it make you happy to know how close you are to being domesticated by default?
It doesn't get marked against your case...

New flort torn between feeling good that someone cares enough about her to be so protective and actually being a bit upset that she can't play violent video games.
>>
>>84533382
It doesn't take away all the nice and fun things, you won't get florted just for eating candy. But maintaining individuality means recognizing and supporting one's own sufficency. That "should" mean a life entirely without things that are dangerous for you, but we both know that for a species as danger driven as terrans, that is all but functionally impossible. So long as you can maintain your own life, without excessive reliance external input or support, you will maintain the complete freedoms afforded to you by the Compact as an individual. If you cannot do that, you will be put into wardship and taught to do that, if you cannot be taught to do it you will no longer be an individual and be forced into domestication. Never once in that statement does it say that you can't have an extra extra greasy Luther Burger, or buckets of incredibly sugary candy, it means that taking yourself to the vet because you know that you're going to have a 5th heart attack means you will not have the freedom to give yourself a 6th.
That sadly is also your last violation, an agent should be arriving shortly to collect you and your favorite stuffies.

Dozens of affini working around the clock to perfectly recreate the flavor of TreatSlop(tm) without heavy metals. Their efforts are confounded by the fact that many of the sophonts who like TreatSlop(tm) seem to be drawn to the heavy metals specifically.

indie who becomes violently, explosively agitated when the weeds try to stop them from chewing lead paint chips
>>
>>84533803
If its just regular maintaince you want to go in for there's obviously more tolerance that can, but you would probably still be taught to prioritize methods of maintaining your body yourself, both because there would absolutely be those options readily avainable to an Indie, like a pill that cleans out your liver or something. But also because a floret-to-be in the vet waiting room is trying really hard to act like their heart isn't actively exploding and is doing a really bad job of it. Which is to say, they need to be able to prioritize who to care for, and if you are clearly capable of caring for yourself then you should be.
>>
>>84534007
>because there would absolutely be those options readily avainable to an Indie, like a pill that cleans out your liver or something
good fucking lord double o 7, have we been talking past each other all this fucking time or what? Thats exactly what the fuck im saying. There WOULD; infact, be shit like that. So the solution to "man this shit is bad for my liver" can just be, take the damn pill and its fine, rather than "oh boy time to practice abstinence"
>>
>>84534134
I apologize, I thought that was obligotory and wouldn't require specific clarification.
My point remains regardless, there should be enforcement for individuals who do not sieze the provided opportunity of the pill or several other methods of autonomous bodily regulation. Even if you are not one of them.
>>
>>84534320
well yes, i would actually concur on that. If someone insists on doing something harmfull for them - yet refuses to mitigate that harm, despite it being easy to do so... then they might need a helping hand in making their decisions

Today I sat in a chair and examined a part of my upper arm where no coarse body hair grows and I never get any sun. I don't work out so it was soft and smooth. I remembered most of my body used to be like this and wanted to cry. Is this domesticable?
>>

>>
>>84538172
is there an easy way to host it?
I don't know how that works
>>
>>84537626
No, this in and of itself is just a situation for class G's and or a some careful personal hygine.
While affini technology would allow for targeted hair loss at the folicle and prevent further incident. There are means available with modern technology that would allow you to get and maintain a close shave, even just disposable razors so long as you're careful and can afford to put in the time and effort.
You only need to lay the razor gently against your and pull honestly as slowly as you would think to comfort another person, even if you aren't sure you know what speed that is, trusting in your instinctual capacity for love will at least set you on thw right path.
I choose to pull 'against the grain' that being the general direction the majority of your hair sits in when brushed with your hand down or wet, but you will always get the best results always pulling in the same direction primarily over each of the parts of your body, then can specifically target any remaining hair however you need to.
It is a lenghty and dangerous process, you will want to have bandages near by incase you hurt yourself while learning, but by being careful, and putting in the time to care fpr yourself, you can feel that you are nearly that hairless over most of your body, at least for a day. I know it isn't much, but it is the cheapest option and available nearly everywhere on the planet.
Once you have the confidence to do your entire body, I can promise you the time and effort to care for yourself will always prove worth it.
Even if you don't ever actually bother learning to shave, doing sonething consiously and deliberately for nobody but yourself, will always make your day at least a little brighter.

>>
>>84540505
I actually really don't like that response (>>84540494), because not only is it a logical fallacy, it's bound up in rudeness; it's essentially 'you're too stupid to think properly, so I'm automatically correct regardless'. In real life it's only used by assholes, and using it marks you as someone who doesn't actually care about the truth, just about forcing people to defer to your authority (which they likely shouldn't).
>>
>>84541153
well, in fairness to them, you are too stupid to think properly
>>
>>84541167
No, you're too stupid to think properly (you see why it's a fallacy?)
>>
>>84541247
no, you're too stupid to think properly.
>>
>>84541153
It being something we recognize as a logical fallacy is likely a more concrete conclusion to an argument they already expect to go roughly as far.
Especially in the matter of inequivalent sapience and intelligence its much more likely the less capable organism will default to assuming that not being equal immediately implicates so many of exploitation, and would accordingly search for any and every reason to unjustify or demonize domestication for the protection of their own freedom. Generally leading into logical circles they either can't recognize themselves or assume the other party can't recognize. Especially in the case of obligate sapients, making the argument that "Most organisms live better lives under Affini care" is something they'll immediately try to equate to other situations or scenarios and find some means of 'seeing through' even if it is a verifiable true statement, purely because of how the obligate sapient mind prioritizes self preservation.
>>
>>84541258
...I was making a point about its fallaciousness by using it with equal validity on both sides of the argument.
>>
>>84541316
no, you're too stupid to think properly.
>>
>>84541247
Its more of a "you're too genetically traumatized to think properly", but you're still going to hear "you're too stupid" because the genetic trauma in your brain is telling you that's what they really mean.
>>
>>84541311
Except that that's actually a really good argument. If every one of the many, many times it's been said before has been false, and most of those have falsely claimed to be different than the others, that's a strong inductive reason to doubt their position and demand some pretty serious evidence in support, especially since the bulk of the benefits of joining the Compact come from the post-scarcity aspect, which has nothing to do with domestication.
>>
>>84541332
Logically, it's the same, just phrased less insulting: 'you lack the capability to form correct conclusions'
