today is the 40th anniversary of the animated transformers movie making its cinematic debut. 40 years ago today, i begged my parents to let me see this PG rated movie that would end up killing all my favorite transformers and ending G1. what a total garbage dump of a film. millennial twats remember it fondly for some reason, but no one i knew even saw it. it remains one of the few movies i've watched in a totally empty theater.
