Has anyone else hear read/listened to Sheridan Le Fanu's Carmilla? While I don't really go after yuri myself, the concept of a vampire seductress that predates and even helped inspire Dracula seemed worth a look. I was pretty happy with how expertly manipulative she was. How easily she took advantage of Laura's loneliness and how helpless Laura was to recognizing or reacting to any of the danger she was in. The occasional surreal bits of powers and dream sequences were pretty good, too.This is the standout Vampire work in my book.
