>>84655147Not really, that's more of a gesture sketch with some small suggestions of construction. You're going to need to be a lot more meticulous with every separate element for a proper construction sketch. Pic related is a pretty extreme example, but even getting somewhere in the neighborhood of phase three of it will help you a lot in placing things in accurate perspective and imparting a good sense of the figure's 3D volume in the final drawing.
>>84660712I think you did a pretty good job, save for the raised foreleg (ungulate forelegs are less like a human leg and more like an arm with a huge shoulder, short upper arm, long forearm and one freakishly elongated finger with a massive fingernail [or two big ones and two small ones in the back for cloven hooves] at the end) and the humanoid torso being a bit small. Both could be justified as stylistic choices, though, especially the torso if it's a normal human size compared to a larger animal half. I've also drawn a few taurs and I can confirm the legs are always a bit of a sticking point; it's very easy to draw them a bit too humanlike when you're not all that well-versed in the specific quirks of four-legged anatomy.

The neat thing about animal anatomy is that most viewers are nowhere near as familiar with it as they are with human anatomy, so you can get away with a lot more fudging before it starts looking noticeably wonky for anyone but animal enthusiasts.
Realizing how hard it is to fudge machines if you don't actually know what's going on.

People will consume slop as well, of course, but you don't want a world only built on slop. Just look at the past five years, and imagine how much worse it could get.Also, if you're making art, just make what you want to make (unless you're paid). Making art for an audience is not the same as making art for a client, and they both have different priorities.

If it was just about chasing the things the data and numbers would suggest brings in the big bucks, audiences wouldn't be complaining as loudly as they are and the entire entertainment industry complex wouldn't be buckling under its own weight. It's only survived this long because of ideologically motivated investor money bailing them out of the consequences of their blatant mismanagement, but that's all but dried up now and they can't pivot to profit fast enough to avoid the iceberg anymore, especially not with the activists that have been embedded in the workforce in open mutiny and actively sabotaging any efforts to course correct.
