It's worth it. I don't usually like mechas but I dug Eva's spin on them. The original's ending is interesting to see how they managed with money restraints. End of Eva is a more solid ending. Can't vouche for the stuff after those two but I heard it's fine. Give it a shot. Make sure to tell everyone which girl you like the most afterwards too op.

>>84677278Rebuilds started okay but got really shitty by 3.0First one is okay if you want early Eva with "new" animation, 2.0 is kind of a similar case but the new stuff isnt bad outside of how forced Mari is in the few scenes she has, cool ending none the less.3.0 sucks absolute ass unless you wanted more Kaworu and 3.0+1.0 feels like a very whatever finale or even a big fuck you if you were very into the series, I dont think you miss much by not watching them besides cool animation and some fanservice. The manga is cool for an alternative route to the original series, you may not like some of the changes though, the other mangas like Angelic Days I have no idea.Something that gets a bit overlooked are the games, some of them have some cool loredumps in them (like Evangelion 2 on PS2 or Secret of Evangelion) and others are good if you want to get immersed into the world of eva like the raising project or girlfriend of steel games.
