post correction configuration in csp is a godsend if you want to ape the vector look and not have to actually deal with vectors but damn the difference between 4 post correction and 5 is "do barely anything" and "turn a curve into a straight line"

Always happy to see more female(and male) yoshis and this is a cut above your previous attempt. Yoshi anatomy is wonky enough on it's own but considering you're going for a more anthro look I'd say what you have is perfectly fine so far. I think the small sacrifice to believability is worth the cost of keeping their defining features in view as you could argue the spines should be less visible along with the tail. A yoshi with no spines or tail looks awfully naked, after all. What color will you pick this time?

I'm going to be either light blue or light purple, comes down to what I end up liking the look of. Coming back I realized Yoshi is actually taller than I remembered, at least the pre Yoshi's story classic version that is. Struggling a little with the white belly stripe but I'll get it eventually.

It's most problematic around the breasts, since you'd get the impression that it's coming from above and a bit behind Ankha's head, but the light around the belly and thighs imply a light above, in front of, and a bit to the right of the belly, which should mean there's a light spot exactly at the viewer's eye level over her right breast.
But it's good enough lighting that you can buy it.

Cool idea, but don't henna tattoos leave a red mark once the paste is removed? A blood-red great wave would be pretty on-brand for a bat, though. It'd have to be a more ordinary kind of body paint for a wider range of colors, or you'd have to make up fictitious new types of henna pastes that allows for other colors without added health complication like some IRL efforts have run into.

Blog time: last year (almost down to the day, minus one week) I drew a pic of Shylily and it was so astoundingly bad compared to the year prior, it sent me into a spiral that I only really recovered from a few months down the line. But it was a valuable reset, I think. I haven't made as much raw progress this year as I've wanted, but at least I don't want to delete my galleries, and myself.

I'll post the one from last year after this, so you can laugh at me, and tell me how bad I still am (but please don't because I will cri :< )

And honestly, I don't think I'll lose any sleep over the knee being a bit unrealistic. Her tail also has no realism attached to it, because I wanted to see her cheeks. Such is life when it comes to art.
