Any gay writers interested in something Pete related?
>>85069823I'm not in tune with it, are we eating good on the Coyote front again with the praise for this movie?
>>85070680Just about even who's seen the movie loves it, and half of them are also saying fuck Zaslav
>>85070920I don't get it. Is that one of the actors?
>>85070945CEO of WB, the guy who gutted most of the company's assets for money as is currently trying to sell WB to the Ellisons
>>85071053WB had a track record of shitty decisions before this point, no? Venture capital is a cancer sure but WB has kind of been exactly what you'd expect of a Hollywood media rights holder mega studio. Was he the reason they tried to cancel this movie or something?
>>85070658is the pink panther ever the pred?
>>85071104He is actually, he killed CvA as well as a bunch of other ones when he first go control of WB, such as The Day That Earth Blew Up, Bye Bye Bunny, Batgirl, Scoob Holiday Hunt, and a few others I can't remember. If I remember correctly, he's also directly responsible for gutting Cartoon Network, and wanting to push greedy microtransactions into Multiversus. Also, since he originally owned Discovery beforehand, he's the person who ran those educational networks to the ground as well.
>>85071549These people just fall upwards in the nepotistic system they themselves devised.
>>85071268I've seen vore pictures of him as the pred
>>85071573Yeah, and it's just gonna get worse if Ellisons get their hands on WB. Total enshitification and corruption.
>>85071712What do they do? I really don't see how WB gets worse. Coyote vs Acme may have ended up great but projects like Batgirl were generally dead in the water anyways even if still in production, that coupled with generally stupid and greedy decisions make them among the worst media companies. What could get worse? No chance of another Coyote vs acme kind of film ever getting made again rather than infinitesimally without backlash?
>>85071937They own Paramount, Tiktok, Annapurna, have stakes in Oracle and Tesla, and have direct ties with the US and Israeli governments. They also have a lot of connections to Epstein's group of people if I remember correctly. Essentially, they're too powerful.
>>85072069>AnnapurnaOh THOSE Ellisons. Imo it is bad but worst case scenario they bleed all their talent as they flee to form their own studios, as happened with Annapurna games and their mismanagement. Maybe it means we no longer have Looney Tunes IP after and whatever else they own, but most franchises are practically sold for parts by now anyway. We need new starts.
>>85071712>>85071937>>85072069>>85072196It really is so terrible how these giant conglomerates and corporate assholes managed to go and take over everything.
>>85072196Selling WB to the propaganda family is not how to restart the Looney Tunes IP.
>>85072591In what way has anyone in hollywood kicked any IPs into gear in years? The only one that was kind of successfully revived was transformers after Bay, everything else has been a slow dance into irrelevancy or worse. WB sure wasn't going to do it regardless of this single movies success. They were ready and willing to write it off entirely until they faced reputational damage for doing so.
>>85072665For one thing, the reason Paramount wants WB in the first place is because both companies have been bleeding money for years. The Ellisons may be rich, but they aren't exactly putting their own money into the companies they own. In fact, they had to borrow money from the Saudis just to try to get WB under their umbrella. And that's the crazy part, the people who own these companies DO have the money to bring these studios out from the brink, they just DON'T want to. The main reason they want WB is specifically for CNN, the movies and tv shows mean nothing to them. The only way entertainment can thrive again is if all the big wigs disappear for good.
>>85072924>The only way entertainment can thrive again is if all the big wigs disappear for good.Unfortunately that either requires total collapse or for privately owned indie or mid size studios to start earning all the money, and I just don't see that happening by itself.
>>85073016Well, if the AI bubble does ever pop, that could be the catalyst for the total collapse. A global crash would make all the big companies scramble to get things back in order, which in turn could leave the door open for indies to thrive. And with Looney Tunes being as old as it is, it is very much entering the public domain as we speak, which means we won't need a WB to use said characters, just in case that company goes bankrupt a decade from now.The public domain is key to revitalization.

>>85081241>Do you think he'll ever get his own movieYes>>85081315>One away from TweetyLol lmao
>>85083811I only mentioned it because he was an extremely versatile character in the original shorts and appeared without Tweety many times (Speedy, Junior, Porky, and many other misc. roles), but I guess Tweety's ultra-marketability basically makes them inseparable at this point, which is unfortunate
>>85081241I'd like to think he would, but it definitely would be him and Tweety, sadly
>>85084016He is but they see him as too connected for a big feature film to not have Tweety, just like how Road Runner appears in Wile’s film. There hasn’t even been a Bugs Bunny film where Daffy isn’t co-starring next to him. So the odds they would allow a Sylvester film without Tweety is marginally slim The best bet for Sylvester is more shorts where he is paired with different characters
>>85081241at least we have the 2011 short for now
>>85084206Gyatt
>>85084278>The best bet for Sylvester is more shorts where he is paired with different charactersYeah that would be great, Looney Tunes Cartoons did have a few where he was with Porky, but that's like the only example I can think of in recent history
>>85084499Last thing Elise was in was the 2011 shorts; there is a movie in development along with that Pink Panther reboot but there has literally been zero news of it in years so it's most likely in development hell
>>85084499That is one of my issues with the franchise as a whole. The pairings are solid but they then think the characters have to be stuck in these pairings forever instead of branching out and using the vast amount of characters to their advantageFor Sylvester give me content where he stars next to Bugs, Pepe, Penelope, Daffy, Wile, Lola, anyone but solely Tweety. I guarantee it will be interesting and fresh compared with doing only jokes from 60 years ago
Just watched the Merrie Melodies ep "Let It Be Me" (1936) and I recommend it. Good plot and animation
>>85085807also watching the Sneezing Weasel (1938)
>>85087365also The Egg Collector (1940)
>>85087462expert animation in this one, too forgot to mention. this is what all modern cel-shaded animations think they look like
>>85085807>>85087365>>85087462Jones was wrong when he said the pre-1940 shorts weren't any good.
