/scaly/ - Scaly General #1689Post lewd reptiles and discuss scaly stuff, male or female is fine. Dragons, wyverns, dinosaurs, lizards, snakes, and reptile-folk such as kobolds and Argonians are welcome, on top of other things with scales like sharks as well. Anthros, ferals and human/scaly are allowed, but please, no monstergirls. As some may take a few creative liberties on their creations, do inquire if there's a particular edge case you're unsure about.==============>Lurking or just reading the FAQ before posting is encouraged.>Anatomy arguments never go anywhere, don't bother instigating one.>No extreme fetishes, please. >>85081284>TOTTDoorframes that have the tops extend up way higher than usual
>>85081284>Topic of the thread: How you would design a home to fit a dragon or scaly partner?Hmm let's see, I'd want an underground setting, solid concrete or brick walls, lots of anchor points for chains and ropes, great soundproofing, and ideally a good amount of storage space for... devices. And a walk-in closet. Those are just nice to have.
>>85081284>totthong kong puts gaps through their buildings for noodles to maneuver through.
>>85081284>tottDepends on the scaly, the best would be to work with them. But I guess surprising them with what you think they'd like is also nice, just be sure to get expert opinion (or just other scalies) on the matter if you can first.
>>85081413imagine how difficult it would be to house an aquatic scaly, nevermind the maintenance
>>85081468>house an aquatic scalyHonestly doesn't sound too hard if you building next to their preferred natural environment. It'll just be a modified boathouse. No carpets or fabric on the floor, it all is angled or has drain to go back to the lake/river/sea.All the electrical outlets will need to have RCD protection for safety.Sound kinda neat, having a lounge spa.
One thing I have (but currently don't really touch on apart from one of the Lance scenes currently) is the prevalence of elevators in Nathport. In buildings designed for larger species, the stairs themselves might be too big for smaller species to use (or those lacking legs like Roger or Jamie's dad). So most buildings are fitted with an elevator to allow them access to higher floors, even if the building itself might only be 3 or 4 stories tall. There are so many possibilities though! Another idea I'd like to implement is a large residential tower designed for fliers; featuring large balconies with ample lighting for take off and landing, similar to like the beer garden at the Claw. (Could be Karl's residence, I guess? Although I see Karl as more of the kind to want to live in a house with a proper garden)
>>85081692>a large residential tower designed for fliers; featuring large balconies with ample lighting for take off and landing,Rails, high load bearing rails on every ledge or edge of buildings.Dropping to start flying is the most common way birds start flying. And the only way bats start flying. Rails on the side of building sllows fliers to drop off and land, with the smooth surface is inoffensive to claws.
>>85081284>Topic of the thread: How you would design a home to fit a dragonDragon-friendly doors, obviously.
hehehehe... I have the... BIGGEST feesh...mmm...feesh
>>85082182What would you do if a scalie hit you with a feesh?
Wow that was something to wake up to Jesus christ
>>85083030>Jesus christRaptor Jesus Christ*
Okay, I admit it!!! I... I WOULDN'T a birb! Not happening!
>>85083294You say that with such conviction... thinking you have a say in the matter.
>>85081381She looks like she... listens to rock music and.... is emotional....
>>85083294I sentence you to this
>>85083621At that point you just need to grab that birb and hurl her over your shoulder and take her inside for some Shutup Sex. I know it would be hard for true dragon lovers, but just close your eyes and imaging that you're banging a person-sized dragon. The cloaca probably feels the same t b h
>>85081381That is a lovely specimen, but there are so many odd design decisions here.Fang has 6 limbs, which is already very common for dragons. Then why turn her into a wyvern?Fang has feathered wings, which also aren't uncommon on dragons, so why deliberately change that to bat wings? Why add frills? She's a ptero with bird features, she's not aquatic.Fang has silver/grey hair, which translates easily to a mane on dragons, so why is she shaved then?Frankly, idk how Fang's ptero crest would fit a dragon, but given everything else, I think the artist didn't even try adding it.Snake mouth? Why? (And with the tongue coming out of what looks like the windpipe.)Now, I don't want to dump on someone else's art too much, especially because I really like the linework on that one, but to me it looks like the artist wasn't just blanking on details, it's as if he was purposefully avoiding the obvious correct answers. As of now, the only "Fang" features in it are the colours and that one accessory (and maybe the snout shape).>>85081284>tottUnderfloor heating, and watch them splay on the floor all the time.
>>85083850>Underfloor heating, and watch them splay on the floor all the time.Hmm>Deliberately removing all heating from the house so your scaly SO has to rely on your body heat for warmth.
>>85083884Okay, you made a good case there, Anon

>>85081284>TotTA basking room is a must, along with plenty of heating pads. Access to upper floors via custom-shaped climbing poles, either curved or with outward rungs. Cubbyhole alcoves for her to curl up in if she feels like it. A large circular pool, with an artificial river running around it.
