If it makes you feel any better, as the dude who wrote the Aether story, I liked it! It was a fun little treat. I usually don't tend to like shorter stories and oneshots since I like to get attached to the characters, but I really enjoyed it. It was like a nice little dessert. I love characters doing silly/audacious things for the sake of love, and the time skip section was cute as well!
