my friend has been "trying" to start his own business for almost 10 years at this point, but he is allergic to the idea of writing a business plan. its so fucking annoying because hes definitely capable of it and has the money (trustie), but he refuses to accept that you have to pay money for things (incorporation, legal fees for contract drafting, etc.), except of course if it costs $15 or has a free trial (domain names, site builders, crm/cms, email). he keeps wasting all his time on the most retarded shit like manualy changing css values in wix or squarespace templates instead of actually writing down a business plan no matter what i tell him to do. just the other day we had a zoom call where he immediately hit his bong and wasted 2 hours chatting with the wix ai chatbot and chatgpt about crm integrations (and doing it wrong) instead of actually deciding what the fuck his business is actually going to do. chatgpt was actually telling him the same thing, "develop a business plan that limits the scope of your offerings and directs your attention and resources", but he ignored it to focus on building the ugliest site ive seen in a long time. he has some vague notion of "digital marketing" because he loves advertising and got his degree in it, but doesnt have the slightest clue about actually doing it for profit beyond buying ad spend on google adsense because even though he claims to be profit-motivated, he has and never will need to work a day in his life. i love him dearly, but he is so frustrating to even try to help.
