The AI does not like to add lots of color to a greyscale image, but will like to extrapolate detail from a crude color sketch.In my experience for best control:-figure out the scene you want.-figure out a prompt for the scene.-do a few straight gens to determine what the AI sees in the prompt, improve prompt if necessary-do a very crude color sketch (even blobs suffice) to make the AI get your scene better, then toss that into Img2img-(usually a few steps of refining the img2img output or the initial sketches until I get what I want)Pic related is a crude example, in both the b&w lineart and the color blobs under the lineart, the prompt and the seed are exactly the same. The "sketch" is one of the actual prompt outputs turned into crude lineart after the fact.In this case I have had great trouble getting a 1girl sitting with two dudes on either side, it either really wants to make 2girls or just 1girl and 1 dude, but the scene is relatively easy to force upon the AI with the crudest of sketches.I must also emphasize this is a crude 10min example, I would not be anywhere near happy with this output, but it should illustrate the difference between color and b&w.
