>>859870743 trackers is generally bare minimum for FBT, there are some options for dongles like the mega dongles some people will sell that let you pair multiple trackers to them, or spider splitters that act like a sort of usb hub that let you spread your dongles out so they don't interfere with each other. At the very least it is recommended to use some sort of usb extension to prevent interference.

>>85987606>>85987695If this is a serious ask for help, other than /vrg/ being generally more helpful than this thread, your tracking options are vives, tundras, or fluxposes. Of the three, vives make the most sense (and have some cost mitigated by overlapping lighthouse requirements) with a lighthouse headset which is the index for most people. Tundras also require lighthouses (aka base stations) so this puts them in a similar boat, though they have a better physical profile if you have a smaller playspace or get tangled easily.Fluxposes are good but are not exactly available. If you know the people making them they will hook you up with pre-release hardware and if you're not in that club you're fucked because like everything else in the VR space it moves at a glacial pace.Your other option for wireless are slimes, but they're not worth digging into for fullbody tracking unless you're willing to DIY the electronics; the firmware/software of that whole project is fine, but commercially available premade hardwares there are generally not good.

>>85987695fluxpose are still entirely unknowns because they're not readily available to consumers at large and most likely won't be until mid 2027 at the earliestif you're 100% sure you're going to get into vrchat hard and spend 10s of hours a week in it, socializing or whatever, then get some puck trackers like vives, tundra, etc. I have no experience here so I can't recommend any one specificallyif you're flip flopping or just want to get into it casually, look into getting some slimes, you can find third party sellers on their discord, or even temu/aliexpress (sketchier but cheaper potentially) and get them for like $200 for a set of 6, the tracking is usually fine, calibration is a bit annoying, and you have to get used to hitting a hotkey to reset your yaw to counter the drift every so often, but they're "cheap" and let you get a feel for fbt/erp, just make sure you do some research into type of IMU the person used for their build https://docs.slimevr.dev/diy/imu-comparison.html#imu-tier-rankings
