Mary was having the strangest dream when she suddenly heard her alarm clock go off. She jolted awake and stared around her bedroom. The border collie slowly got out of bed and stumbled into her bathroom to get ready for the day, brushing her teeth and taking a shower. Since it was the weekend, she put on some sweatpants and walked out into her apartment's living room. She was just about to head out to check her mailbox when she finally saw it. Lying on her kitchen countertop was an ancient yet sturdy-looking book, its cover engraved with bizarre and unrecognizable text. She nervously edged closer to the book until she finally gained enough courage to simply grab it from the countertop. She slowly opened the book with trembling hands. At first, the text was unrecognizable, but after a few seconds of staring at it, the strange symbols began to morph into characters resembling English: >In your hands is the Book of Fate. With it comes the power to alter one's very reality, simply by writing down their wishes in these pages.Mary looked outside her window. It was raining heavily this morning. She grabbed a pen from a drawer and nervously began to write on the first blank page. >It's a sunny day today.Almost instantly, the rain stopped, the gray clouds vanished, and the sun shone. Shocked, Mary held the book close to her chest. Here was an artifact of unimaginable power, and she was the one chosen to wield it. Her mind raced with thoughts of potential wishes and secret desires. She decided to try it out again. She looked outside her window down at the street. She saw a middle-aged lioness jogging in a tracksuit. The dog girl scribbled something down in the book. Immediately, the lioness's outfit began to change: her tracksuit morphed into a pink onesie, and her sunglasses slid down her face, turning into a pacifier, which she began to suck on. The cat's new onesie immediately puffed out into the outline of a thick diaper, turning her jog into an awkward waddle.

"Hey Axel, you know you don't have your guitar plugged in, right? I can hear you all the way down the hallway," Mary replied, smirking. The stallion looked down at his guitar and blushed in embarrassment. "Seriously? Shit, I must have forgotten again. Sorry about that." "No problem," Mary said, starting to jot down a new note in her book. >Axel the horse will invite me inside his apartment and offer to make me some coffee.Oblivious to any magical shenanigans going on, Axel sheepishly asked, "Hey, umm. Do you want to come inside my place so I can make you some coffee? I'm really sorry about the noise and want to make it up to you." Mary plopped down on the living room couch and looked around. She could see posters of rock bands and dark fantasy heroes holding swords plastered all over the walls. In one corner sat a stereo system and Axel's guitar resting on a stand. In another corner were some weights and exercise equipment.

Axel admitted as some of the posters morphed to display characters from preschool shows. "Don't worry, I won't," the collie replied, admiring the changes she had made. "So tell me, what do you do for work?" The stallion absentmindedly stuck his thumb inside his mouth. "Oh, I do some stock trading and crypto on my computer. I'm pretty good at it." Mary jotted down a new statement in her book. >Axel will wet his pants when I ask him out and will be unaware of it until I point it out, at which point he will start crying. "That sounds pretty interesting. Listen, I was planning on spending this morning in the park. Do you want to walk with me there?" Almost immediately, Axel's boxers darkened and puddle formed at his hooves as his bladder suddenly released. The horse showed no sign of being aware of it, though, still sucking on his thumb.

Axel sniffled as Mary led him into his bedroom. The collie helped peel his soiled boxers off and toss them into a hamper before she began looking in his underwear drawer. Frowning at his selection of boxers, the dog wrote a new statement into the book. >Axel the horse keeps a drawer full of pull-ups in case of accidents.The boxers instantaneously transformed into adult-sized pull-ups, with lightning bolts and guitars printed on the front of them. Mary frowned. >The only pull-ups that can fit Axel are all girly ones. The pull-ups' color shifted from light blue to a mix of pink and purple, and now flowers, butterflies, and hearts were printed on the front. She picked out a purple one and returned to Axel. "Um, I don't need pull-ups. This was my first accident in weeks, er, I mean months," he nervously said. Mary simply smiled at him. "You just wet your pants in front of a guest. You really want to risk another accident while we're out walking?" Mary pointed out. "Um, I guess not," Axel replied, defeated. Mary slid the training pants past the big horse's hooves and up his legs until it sat snugly around his waist. The stallion patted his new padding apprehensively, while Mary walked over to the closet, ancient book in hand.
